  • This paper aims to investigate generation conditions necessary for the most efficient generation by measuring electricity power under various irradiation conditions, since the photovoltaic generation system has high costs and low efficiency. This thesis aims to investigate generation conditions necessary for the most efficient generation by measuring electricity power under various irradiation conditions, since the photovoltaic generation system has high costs and low efficiency. Although the generation power increased with the irradiation, the former did not vary directly as the latter. This meant that the variation of the generation power was concerned in the temperature of a module, the ambient temperature, and the directions of irradiation as well as the irradiation. As for the monthly accumulated irradiation and monthly accumulated power, the maximum irradiation and generation power were observed in May and October and the irradiation, the power and the accumulated generation power were all the highest in spring, followed by fall, summer and winter.

  • The limitations of high-power electrical lasers due to heating of the gas and the instability of the glow discharge can be alleviated by the flow of the lasing medium. In order to achieve high power and efficient laser, we are developing a fast-axial flow CO2 laser. We describe here the classification of gas-discharge CO2 lasers according to the cooling methods of the lasing medium and the design features of the fast-axial flow CO2 laser.

제한조건을 고려한 효율적 회로 설계 알고리즘 (An efficient circuit design algorithm considering constraint)

  • In this paper, An efficient circuit design algorithm considering constraint is proposed. The proposed algorithm sets up in time constraint and area constraint, power consumption constraint for a circuit implementation. First, scheduling process for time constraint. Select the FU(Function Unit) which is satisfied with time constraint among the high level synthesis results. Analyze area and power consumption of selected FUs. Constraint set for area and power constraint. Device selection to see to setting condition. Optimization circuit implementation in selected device. The proposed algorithm compared with [7] and [8] algorithm. Therefore the proposed algorithm is proved an efficient algorithm for optimization circuit implementation.

친환경자동판매기의 국내 대학교 에너지 소비 개선 효과 - 수도권 대학을 중심으로 - (Empirical Research of Energy Saving based on Measurement of The Consumed Power of University's Electric Vending Machine)

  • This study measured the amount of electricity consumed by the vending machines installed on campus and aim to come up with measures to address excessive consumption of electricity. We chose 10 universities located in the city of Seoul and Gyeonggi province and measured electricity consumption of 10 vending machines installed in each university. We then calculated annual electricity consumption of the machines based on previously calculated electricity consumption of 100 samples. According to the result of the calculation, it is estimated that the machines studied on consume 700 KWh a year. This amount could translate into approximately 3,000 tons of annual carbon emissions and 640 million KRW in annual electricity bills. It was also found that there is a significant difference between ordinary vending machines and machines certified for being eco-friendly and energy efficient, in terms of electric power consumption. It is expected that, if the ordinary machines are replaced with the eco-friendly and high-efficient machines, 640 KWh of electricity, 300 kg of carbon, and 61,640 KRW in electricity bills would be saved, which means 28% saving in energy, emissions and bills. In conclusion, we determined that, as one of the ways to reduce electric power consumption and carbon emissions, old vending machines on campus could be replaced with eco-friendly and high-efficient machines.

  • The global electrical energy consumption is still rising and there is a steady demand to increase the power capacity, to produce, distribute and use the energy as0 efficient as possible and furthermore to set up incentives to save energy at the md-user. Two major technologies will play important roles to fulfill those targets. One is to change the electrical power production sources from the conventional, fossil (and short term) based energy sources to renewable energy resources. The other is to use high efficiency power electronics in power systems for high efficiency and high performance applications. This paper discusses both areas, in particular the power electronic application in wind power integration.

  • Studying for environmental friendly and efficient energy source is now actively under way on because problems like environmental pollution and exhaust of natural resources are in issue. Fuel Cell which is an alternative energy source has low voltage and high current characteristic, therefore boost up voltage converter and DC-AC converter is required to use as a common power source. In this paper, DC-DC converter which has high efficient and high power density is proposed and verified by experimental result.

야산개발농지의 기계화 작업효율 증진에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficient Utilization of Farm Tractor and Power Tiller on the Inclined Upland)

  • For the efficient utilization of farm machines on the inclined uqland, work performance in plowing, harrowing and terracing and critical workable gradients were tested on three farm machines which are 47 ps-farm tractor, 8 ps-power tiller and 5 ps-power tiller. The results of this study are summarized as follows; 1) The steeper the slope of the upland was the more inefficient the work performance of all machines was. 2) The critical workable gradients of the machines were proved as 14 for 47 ps-farm tractor, 12 for 8 ps-power tiller and 10 for 5ps-power tiller. 3) Plowing in the way of turning the furrow slices against the slope in order to build up terraces, the critical workable gradients were 8 for 47 ps-farm tractor and 8 ps-power tiller and 6 for 5 ps-power tiller. 4) Two-way plow is recommended for plowing with farm tractor on inclined upland, and high lug of tire would be good to prevent the slippage, and side valance-weight should be attached to power tiller for preventing its overturning.

  • 근사 컴퓨팅은 정확한 결과 대신에 허용 가능한 정도의 부정확한 결과를 도출하는 연산 기법이다. 근사 곱셈은 고성능, 저전력 컴퓨팅을 위한 근사 컴퓨팅 방식 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 근사 4-2 compressor와 향상된 전가산기를 사용하여 고집적·저전력·고속 근사 곱셈기를 제안하였다. 근사 4-2 compressor를 사용한 근사 곱셈기는 정확, 근사, 상수 수정 영역의 3개 영역으로 구성되어 있으며, 효율적인 부분 곱 감소 방식을 적용하여 각 영역의 크기를 조절하면서 성능을 비교하였다. 제안한 근사 곱셈기는 Verilog HDL로 설계하였고, 25nm CMOS 공정에서 Synopsys Design Compiler(DC)를 이용하여 면적, 전력, 지연시간을 분석하였으며, 기존의 근사 곱셈기에 비해 면적을 10.47%, 전력을 26.11%, 지연시간을 13% 줄였다.

  • UV lamp systems have been used for cleaning of display pannels of TFT LCD or Plasma Display Pannel (PDP). However, the needs for high efficient cleaning and low cost made high voltage plasma cleaning techniques be developed and improved. In this paper, 3kW high voltage plasma power supply system was developed for LCD cleaning. The 3-phase input voltage is rectified and then inverter system is used to make a high frequency pulse train, which is rectified after passing through a high-power transformer. Finally, bi-directional high voltage pulse switching circuits are used to generate the high voltage plasma.
