PSC 교량 위를 고속주행 중인 KTX 전동차의 중심회전각 동적해석 (A Dynamic Analysis of Rotations at the center of Vehicle Running High Speed KTX Train on the PSC Box Bridges)

  • 경부고속철 PSC 박스 교량의 주행안정성 평가방법을 개발하기 위하여 동적 수치해석을 수행하였다. 교량과 차량의 상호작용력을 고려한 수치 모형을 적용하였다. 3차원 유한요소 뼈대요소를 적용한 교량과 38자유도로 상세하게 모형화된 차량은 공용 중인 KTX의 물성 사양을 적용하였다. 주행속도 500 km/h까지 10 km/h 일정 증가분으로 수치해석하여 차량의 각 방향의 회전각을 교량/일반 도상에서 해석하고 비교하였다. 비교된 회전각비는 기존의 주행안정성 설계기준에 보완될 수 있는 평가방법으로 판단된다.

  • The process of railway traffic planning is composed of several steps such as long - term, mid - term, short - term, and real - time plan. The planning of vehicle and manpower resources is a main research topic in tactical short - term planning step Railway vehicle is usually consisted of a power car, passenger/freight cars and human resource is composed of engine driver, cabin crew, ground personnel. So far , power car was main research target in railway vehicle scheduling problem. Recently according as the light electric railway or high - speed railway is introduced, the operational planning of train set vehicles become important . In this paper , we introduce the conceptional model for trainset restoring problem and developed heuristic algorithm.

  • 고속철도 교량은 고속주행 열차의 차축 주기하중 효과와 교량 고유의 동적특성에 의한 동적 증폭 효과로 인하여 구조물의 안전성에 영향을 받는다. 그리고 교량의 과도한 변형으로 인하여 차륜과 레일의 접촉력 감소, 궤도틀림 등의 윤중 변동이 일어나 열차의 주행안전성 및 승차감을 저해할 수 있다. 이러한 궤도 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 동적거동에 대한 교량상판수준의 수직가속도 제한, 차륜-레일간의 접촉과 열차주행 안전성 확보를 위한 상판 면틀림 제한, 단부 회전각 변위 제한, 차량하중에 의한 교량의 수직 처짐 제한을 반드시 만족시켜야 하며, 필수적으로 공진에 대한 검토도 이루어져야 한다. 신설되는 호남고속철도에서는 기존의 경부고속철도와 다른 콘크리트 도상을 적용하고, 궤도간격, 설계열차하중 등이 변경되어 적용되므로 새로운 동적안정성 요구조건을 적용하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트교량에 비해 진동특성이 취약한 것으로 알려진 강합성 거더 고속철도 교량의 동적거동 분석을 수행하였다.

Condition assessment for high-speed railway bridges based on train-induced strain response

  • This paper presents the non-destructive evaluation of a high-speed railway bridge using train-induced strain responses. Based on the train-track-bridge interaction analysis, the strain responses of a high-speed railway bridge under moving trains with different operation status could be calculated. The train induced strain responses could be divided into two parts: the force vibration stage and the free vibration stage. The strain-displacement relationship is analysed and used for deriving critical displacements from theoretical stain measurements at a forced vibration stage. The derived displacements would be suitable for the condition assessment of the bridge through design specifications defined indexes and would show certain limits to the practical application. Thus, the damage identification of high-speed railways, such as the stiffness degradation location, needs to be done by comparing the measured strain response under moving trains in different states because the vehicle types of high-speed railway are relatively clear and definite. The monitored strain responses at the free vibration stage, after trains pass through the bridge, would be used for identifying the strain modes. The relationship between and the degradation degree and the strain mode shapes shows certain rules for the widely used simply supported beam bridges. The numerical simulation proves simple and effective for the proposed method to locate and quantify the stiffness degradation.

  • Recently, as the feasibility study shows that trans-Korea railway and trans-continental railway are advantageous, interest in high-speed railway system is increasing. Because railway vehicle is environment-friendly and safe compared with airplane and ship, its market-sharing increases gradually. KHST(Korean High Speed Train) has been developed by KRRI (Korea Railroad Research Institute) for last 6 years to satisfy the need. An electric railway system is composed of high-tech subsystems, among which main electric equipment such as transformers and converter are critical components determining the performance of rolling stock. We developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of KHST. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A now method to measure temperature was applied to the measurement system. By using the system, fault diagnosis and performance evaluation of electric equipment in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running.

  • The riding comfort problem for railway vehicles of conventional line becomes increasingly important under the influence of the opening of Kyungbu high-speed and high-grade railway in 2004. Meaning of the term "riding comfort" of passenger train varies widely. In a narrow sense, the riding comfort means the comfort related to the vehicle vibration. But in a broad sense, the riding comfort means the comfort related to the cabin temperature, noise, illumination, smell, air-conditioning, etc. In this study, the riding comfort in a broad sense is treated and the direction of research for improving the riding comfort is presented.

  • The railroad is a means of large transportation which has many talents such as a safety and a regularity. That is a results from various confidential performance tests and evaluations of the system. The railroad system consist of various subsystems - vehicle, power supply, signal, communications, track structures, operations, etc. Among them, as an item of safety evaluation there is a measurement of wheel/rail force, so called a measurement of derailment coefficient. This is a very important item because a derailment of a train will bring about a big accident. Especially it is more important in high speed rail of which operation speed is over two times as fast as existing rail. In this paper, it is introduced to preprocess the wheelset for measuring wheel/rail force of high speed rail, such as to treat a measuring wheelset, adhesion of strain gauges and static load test, running test result of main line.

  • Korean Train Express (KTX) has opened to commercial traffic since 2004 at maximum speed 300km/h, and Korea High-speed Railway (HSR-350x) was developed by Korean government, several institutes, and related companies. HSR-350x is now being investigated its performance and tested at the high speed line. In 2004 December, HSR-350x was run over 350km/h and proved its running performance. In vehicle system, the faster the vehicle runs, the more vibration increases. To improve the riding comfort of high-speed trains, it needs to devise the vibration absorber. In this paper, we propose the installation of the semi-active damper to the power car of HSR 350x and present the specification and the damping characteristics.

고속전철의 임계속도와 헌팅현상 해석 (Analysis of the Critical Speed and Hunting Phenomenon of a High Speed Train)

  • 차륜과 레일의 접촉은 크리프를 유발한다. 크리프 증가에 따라 크리프력이 선형적으로 증가한다고 가정하는 선형 크리프 이론은 철도차량의 진동이 무한히 발산하는 주행속도인 임계속도를 결정한다. 그러나 실제 크리프력은 일정값에 수렴하며 철도차량의 횡진동은 무한히 증가되지도 않는다. 본 연구에서는 비선형 크리프 이론인 Vermeulen이론, Polach이론, 실제 차륜과 레일의 형상을 고려하여 계산된 줄이론 등을 6 자유도 대차모델에 적용하여 철도차량의 동특성을 검토하였다. 그 결과 철도차량의 진동은 특정 주행속도 이상에서 한계사이클을 만들었으며, 크리프 곡선의 기울기가 클수록 한계사이클이 발생하는 주행속도는 낮아졌다. 또한 한계사이클은 플랜지 접촉으로 인해 그 크기가 제한되는 헌팅현상이 발생됨을 알았다.

고속주행을 위한 화차 한량의 사행동 해석 (Analysis on the Snake Motion of One Freight Car for High Speed Running)

  • The development of railway vehicles involves the proper selection of design parameters not only to achieve high speed but also to reduce the vibration of the train. In this study an analytical model of a freight car is developed to find the critical speed. The freight car can generate the snake motion of the lateral and yawing motion of the car body, the bogie, and the wheelset. Numerical analysis for the nonlinear equation motions with 17 degrees of freedom showed the running stability and critical speed due to the snake motion. Also, the vibration modes of the freight car was calculated using ADAMS/RAIL, which showed that the critical speed have the yawing modes of the car body and the bogie. Finally this paper shows that the snake motion of the vehicle can be controlled with the modifications of the design parameters.
