Design of a Bidirectional AC-DC Converter using Charge Pump Power Factor Correction Circuit (전하펌프 역률개선 회로를 적용한 양방향성 AC-DC Converter 설계)

  • This paper deals with a bidirectional ac-dc converter used in ups system application. We propose a Voltage-Source-Charge-Pump-Power-Factor-Correction(VS-CPPFC) ac-dc converters. First of all, we propose a charge pump power-factor-correction converter. Secondly, we derive and analyse a unity power factor condition. The proposed topology is based on a half-bridge for the primary and a current-fed push pull for the secondary side of a high frequency isolation transformer. The advantage of bidirectional flow of power achieved by using the same power components is that the circuit is simple and efficient. And the galvanically isolated topology is specially attractive in battery charge/discharge circuits in ups system. We design equivalent model for the steady-state circuit and analyse operation waveforms for each mode. We show that the proposed model can be applied to ups system by simulation processes.

  • In this paper, a novel Generator On-line Diagnosis System (GODS) is proposed. This system monitors the insulation condition of the stator winding by on-line measurements of partial discharge (PD). Sensor, such as SSC (Stator Slot Coupler) and RFCT (Radio Frequency Current Transformer) are used for PD measurement. PD signals are continuously measured and digitized with a high speed A/D converter to build the database of the generator's insulation condition. Also this system can communicate with the central monitoring system via RS-485. This helps more efficient operation and maintenance of the generator.

  • This paper describes the analysis results on the PT ferroresonance at 154 kV GIS (gas Insulated substation by EMTP (Electro-magnetic Transient Program). We had simulated the PT ferroresonance between a potential transformer(PT) and an open circuit breaker's grading capacitance. The ferroresonance leads to very large power frequency overvoltages on PT bus and subsequent insulation failure. The large power can be supplied to the PT by the high voltage on the opened circuit due to the grading capacitance and equivalent capacitance of the buses during the ferroresonance. The damping circuit connected on the secondary winding were considered in the model. The actual countermeasure include a saturable inductor and a resistor series-mounted, but the 2 ohms of damping resistance was used in the computational model.

  • This paper proposes a new soft switching technique for a phase-shift controlled bi-directional DC-DC converter. The described converter employs a low profile high frequency transformer and two active full-bridge converters for bidirectional power flow capability. A new soft switching technique is proposed, which guarantees soft switching over wide range (no load to full load) without any additional circuit components. In the proposed switching scheme, the switch pairs in the diagonal position of the converter each are turned on/off simultaneously by the switching signals with a variable duty ratio depending on the phase shift amount, and the converter is operated without freewheeling interval.

  • 국내의 태양광발전용 계통 연계형 삼상 인버터는 대부분 저주파(60Hz) 변압기를 사용하는 절연형 인버터이다. 이 인버터의 경우 무변압기 또는 고주파 변압기 인버터에 비해 회로 및 제어가 간단하다. 하지만 무게나 부피가 상당히 크고, 소형화 하기 어려운 단점이 있다. 무변압기형 인버터의 경우 저주파 절연형 인버터에 비해 무게나 부피가 작고, 소형화 할 수 있으나, 계통과의 전기적 절연이 되지 않는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 태양광발전용 고주파링크 계통 연계형 삼상 인버터 시스템을 개발 하였다.

  • The objective of the study is to design and develope a 6kW DC/DC converter with bidirectional power-flow capability. The DC/DC convener topology used in the study is the full-bridge(FB) pulse width modulated convener using ZVS. High-frequency transformer is included to provide isolation between the source and loads. This paper includes simulation and experimental results of the proposed convener.

  • In this thesis, we fabricate a zero-magnetostrictive amorphous ribbon measure the impeadance effect, and then Investigate possibility as a sensor material. $Co_{72.5}$F $e_{0.5}$M $o_{2}$ $B_{15}$ S $i_{5}$ is used as composition of specimen alloy. We first melt the specimen in high frequency induction furnace and then rapidly quench it by using single roll technique. As the result, we obtain a ribbon where thickness is 12${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, width is 1mm and length is 93mm. Consequently, it is proved through this study that zero-magnetostrictive amorphous ribbon can be used as an excellent magnetic sensor material.rial.l.

  • It is well known that a discharge in oil is the source of various physical and chemical phenomena. One of them is ultra-sonic wave, and its detection is a useful method to the diagnosis of the transformer insulation condition. Conventionally, ultra-sonic waves are detected by Piezo-electric trans-ducer(PZT), and we use optical method that has many advantages. In this paper, we constructed a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with optical fiber and investigated the principle of operation. Test of the ultrasonic-detecting ability was performed for both of PZT and fiber-optic sensor. Discharge test arrangement is based on the needle-plane electrode system in oil and applied AC high voltage. Ultrasonic waves were detected and showed time-delay characteristics. We analyzed the data with frequency domain and wavelet transform.

  • Filament power supply (FPS) for neutral beam injection (NBI) consists of an insulation type is a device that heats the interior of Tokamak. The input/output specifications of FPS are 3-phase AC 200[Vpeak] and DC16V/300A respectively. A conventional FPS is composed of a 3-phase diode rectifier with DC-link, a H-bridge DC/DC converter, a high frequency transformer, a secondary rectifier and a LC-filter. In this paper, to improve the efficiency of PSFB DC/DC converter it is substituted IGBT devices instead of diode rectifier in secondary side. The proposed method is verified by computer simulation and experiment result.

  • Face anti-spoofing (FAS) techniques play a significant role in the defense of facial recognition systems against spoofing attacks. Existing FAS methods achieve the great performance depending on annotated additional modalities. However, labeling these high-cost modalities need a lot of manpower, device resources and time. In this work, we proposed to use self-transforming modalities instead the annotated modalities. Three different modalities based on frequency domain and temporal domain are applied and analyzed. Intuitive visualization analysis shows the advantages of each modality. Comprehensive experiments in both the CNN-based and transformer-based architecture with various modalities combination demonstrate that self-transforming modalities improve the vanilla network a lot.
