In this paper, physical properties of fresh and hardened mortar for floor using expansion agent are described under various grain shape, grading and chloride contents of aggregates. According to experimental results, as fineness modulous increase, fluidity show high it also shows high with cement mortar using riversand and continuous distribution of grading. We can not detect any difference in fluidity according to chloride contents. Air content shows to be decreased with crushed stone having large fineness modulous and continuous distribute on of grading. chloride content does not influence on the air content. compressive strength tends to increase when crushed sand with continuous distribution of grading is used and chloride contents decreases.

Recently on construction sites, there is increased use of concrete with large quantities of blast-furnace slag(BS) admixture replacements, for purposes of reducing CO2 created from cement, one of the ingredients of concrete. But such high-BS fineness changes can have a huge effect on the quality of mortar and concrete. Therefore in this study an experiment was conducted in which liquidity and intensity of mortar depending on an artificially-applied change in fineness degree at degree 7. The results, though subtle, were that the larger the fineness degree, liquidity increased and air quantity decreased, and compression and flexural strength increased.
Typically, high lime fly ash (Class C) has been characterized as a fly ash, which at lower replacement levels is not as effective as the low lime (Class F) fly ash, in mitigating alkali-silica reaction (ASR) in portland cement concrete. The influence of fineness of Class C, obtained by grinding virgin fly ash into finer particles, on its pozzolanic reactivity and ASR mitigation performance was investigated in this study. In order to assess the pozzolanic reactivity of mortar mixtures containing virgin or ground fly ashes, the strength activity index (SAI) test and thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) were conducted on the mortar cubes and paste samples, respectively, containing virgin fly ash or two ground fly ashes. In addition, to evaluate any improvement in the ASR mitigation of ground fly ashes compared to that of the virgin fly ash, the accelerated mortar bar test (AMBT) was conducted on the mortar mixtures containing different dosages of either virgin or ground fly ashes. In all tests crushed glass aggregate was used as a highly reactive aggregate. Results from this study showed that the finest fly ash (i.e., with an average particle size of 3.1 microns) could increase the flow ability along with the pozzolanic reactivity of the mortar mixture. However, results from this study suggested that the fineness of high lime fly ash does not seem to have any significant effect on ASR mitigation.

When GGBFS(Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag) with high blaine is incorporated in concrete, compressive strength in the initial period is improved, but several engineering problems arise such as heat of hydration and quality control. In this paper, compressive strength and durability performance of concrete with 3,000 Grade-low fineness slag are evaluated. Three conditions of concrete mixtures are considered considering workability, and the related durability tests are performed. Although the strength of concrete with 3,000 Grade slag is slightly lower than the OPC(Ordinary Portland Cement) concrete at the age of 28 days, but insignificant difference is observed in long-term compressive strength due to latent hydration activity. The durability performances in concrete with low fineness slag show that the resistances to carbonation and freezing/thawing action are slightly higher than those of concrete with high fineness slag, since reduced unit water content is considered in 3,000 Grade slag mixture. For the long-term age, the chloride diffusion coefficient of the 3000-grade slag mixture is reduced to 20% compared to the OPC mixture, and the excellent chloride resistance are evaluated. Compared with concrete with OPC and high fineness GGBFS, concrete with lower fineness GGBFS can keep reasonable workability and durability performance with reduced water content.
This study investigates experimentally into the design factors and quality variations having an effect on the properties of the combined high flowing concrete to be poured in the slurry wall of Inchon LNG in-ground receiving terminal. Especially, high belite cement and lime stone powder as cementitious materials and viscosity agent in order to improve self-compaction and hydration heat are used in this study. Water-cement ratio(W/C), fine aggregate volume ratio(Sr) and coarse aggregate volume ratio(Gv) as design factors of the combined high flowing concrete are applied to determine the optimum mix design proportion. Also quality variations for sensitivity test are selected items as followings. (1)Surface moisture(5cases) and (2)Fineness modulus of fine aggregate(5cases), (3)Concrete temperature(3cases), (4)Specific surface(3cases) and particle size of lime stone powder. As experimental results, water-cement ratio, fine and coarse aggregate volume ratio are shown as the optimum range 51%, 43% and 53% separately considering site condition of slurry wall. Also quality factors by sensitivity test should be controlled in the following ranges. (1) Surface moisture :to.67% and (2)Fineness modulus 2.6$\pm$0.2 of fine aggregate, (3)Concrete temperature l0-20t, (4) Specific surface 6,000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g and particle size 9.7$\pm$1.0${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of lime stone powder. Based on the results of this study, the optimum mix design proportion of the combined high flowing concrete are selected and poured successfully in the slurry wall of LNG in-ground tank.

The fluidity of high flowing concrete can be affected by numerous parameters which characterize either the cement of the admixture. The reactivity of a cement as determined by its chemical composition(especially its $C_3$A content), its fineness and its content in sulfates and alkalies obviously plays a key role in rheology of high flowing concrete in fresh state. Specific properties of high range water reducing AE agent used to enhance the workability of high flowing concrete also exert important influence. The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate and analyze the effect of cement and high range water reducing AE agent in fluidity, setting, compressive strength of high flowing concrete. As a result, we found that fluidity of high flowing concrete is affected greatly by kind of cement and high range water reducing AE agent, also, there is harmonic character between high belite cement and polycarbonic acid high range water reducing AE agent.
The enhanced slag fineness and the batch water of low water-to-cement ratio(W/C) were employed in order to improve the early strength of blast-furnace slag blended cement at low temperature. A grinding aid was used to grind the blast-furnace slag into the fineness of 6,280$\textrm{cm}^2$/g (Blaine), and this fine slag was then homogeneously mixed with the ordinary Portland cement to produce the blast-furnace slag blended cement containing 40% slag by weight composition. On the other hand, the batch water could be reduced from W/C=0.50 (KS L 5105) to W/C=0.33 through a commercial, naphthalene type superplasticizer. Through the method mentioned above, the early strength of the blast-furnace slag blended cement at low temperature could be enhanced even somewhat higher than the Portland cement strength. And the microsturcture of the cement was studied by both the pore structure analysis and the A.C. impedance measurement.
Recently, due to developments in construction technology, the use of high-performance concrete became popular. High-performance concrete when compared to the ordinary concrete can better satisfy required performances by using mineral admixture and superplasticizer. Various studies on the effect of admixture materials on the quality of high-performance concrete have been reported. But there exist limited number of reported results on the effect of cement qualities, which is the most important constituent material in concrete. Therefore, in this study, the relationship between the quality of cement and the flowability of high flowing concrete is investigated. Qualities of domestically produced cement were identified, and then the influence of the qualities of cement on the flowability of high flowing concrete is evaluated. The result showed that the dosage of required superplasticizer was dependent on cement fineness, to brain, free-CaO, and interstitial phase, which all trigger initial hydration process of cement. Particularly, the results showed that fineness of cement has a high impact on the dosage of the superplasticizer. For strength property of concrete, the dosage of superplasticizer had a significant effect on the early age strength, but had negligible effect in the long term strength.

This paper describes some results of various tests which were carried out with varying the fineness of salg from 6000 to 10000$\textrm{cm}^2$/g and the slag content in cement from 30 to 50wt% for the perpose of utilizing finely ground blast-furnace slag as an ingredient for high-performance concrete. Test for heat of hydration, microstructural and hydration characteristics in paste, and fluidity and compressive strength in mortar were carried out. From these test results, it was found that, by properly determining the content and fineness of the slag, it is possible to manufacture high-performance concrete that has low heat of hydration, high early strength development, fine pore size and a highly densified microstructure.

Since the cement industry generates more than 60 % of CO2 during the clinker production process, supplementary cementitious materials are used worldwide to reduce CO2 efficiently. Mainly used supplementary cementitious materials such as blast furnace slag and fly ash, which are used in various industries including the cement industry, concrete admixtures, and ground solidification materials. However, since their availability is expected to decrease in the future according to the carbon neutrality strategy of each industry, new supplementary cementitious materials should be used to achieve the cement industry's goal for increasing the additive content of Portland cement. Limestone is a material that already has a large amount in the cement industry and has the advantage of high grinding efficiency, so overseas developed countries established Portland limestone cement standards and succeeded in commercialization. This study was an experimental study conducted to evaluate the possibility of utilizing domestic PLC, the effect of fineness and replacement ratio on the physical properties of cement was investigated, and the environmental impact of cement was evaluated by analyzing CO2 emissions.
