배드민턴 클리어와 드롭 동작에 대한 운동학적 분석 (A Kinematic Analysis on Clear & Drop Motion of Badminton)

  • The purpose of this study was to present the basic data on improving the skills for 3 junior high school national badminton players in clear and drop motion through the 3-dimensional image analysis. Therefore, the results of this study are as follows: 1. In the duration times per phase, subject C relatively showed a similar time between clear and drop motion. Accordingly, C took a more effective motion than A and B. 2. In the velocities of racket head, subject A and C showed similar changes relatively. However, in case of subject B, the velocity was decreased before back swing(E2) and increased until impact(E3). 3. Regardless of clear and drop motion, the changing phases of joint angle for wrist and elbow showed similar changes comparatively. 4. In the angles of upper body, clear motion was average 85.0 degree and drop one was average 80.7 degree during the impact(E3). Hence, it showed that drop motion hit the ball bowing the upper body more than clear one. 5. In the angles of racket head, clear motion was average 87.7 degree and drop one was average 85.6 degree during the impact(E3). Consequently, drop motion was impacted forward more than clear one.

자유 상승하는 편구형 기포의 나선운동 (Spiral motion of the oblate rising bubble)

  • An experimental study of the dynamic characteristics of the free rising oblate spherical bubble is investigated. As noted by Saffman, the characteristics of the spiral motion are defined with parameters of the spiral frequency, spiral radius, and rising velocity. High speed camera recorded every detail information of free rising bubble. The spiral number, the bubble rise velocity, and the angular velocities were measured for the bubble size between 1.0mm to 20.0mm in diameter. In order to make clear trajectory, we employed the Fast Fourier Transformation for the normal digital camera data to synchronize with the high speed camera data. It was found that the spiral number suggested here was monotonically decreased as the bubble size increases. The present observation, however tells us that previous Saffman's formulation shows a good agreement with the trend, but over estimated spiral number. Therefore, it is recommended that Saffman's theoretical study is needed to be improved.

  • In this study new vibration isolation system was designed so as to decouple translational motion and rotational motion of a workstation as well as to maximize an efficiency of vibration isolation. Whole motion of the workstation as well as the transmitted vibration from the floor were compared at the two conditions; with and without the cradle system. It was shown that the cradle system had a clear effect to suppress the roiling motion of the workstation.

  • This paper gives an overview of HIGIPS design concepts and prototype HIGIPS configuration, and discusses its application to recognition of the 3-D motion of a human arm. HIGIPS which employs the combination of pipeline architecture and multiprocessor architecture, is a high-speed, high-performance and low cost N * M multimicroprocessor parallel machine, where N is the number of pipeline stages and M is the number of processors in each stage. The algorithm to recognize the motion of a human arm with a single TV camera was developed on personal computer (NEC PC9801 series). As a constraint condition, some simple ring marks are used. Each joint of the arm is attached with a ring mark to obtain its centroid position when the arm moves. These centroid positions in the three-dimensional space are linked at each of the successive pictures of the moving arm to recover its overall motion. This algorithm takes about 2 seconds to process one image frame on the general-purpose personal computer. This paper mainly discuses how to partition this algorithm and execute on HIGIPS, and shows the speed up. From this application, it is clear that HIGIPS is an efficient machine for image processing and recognizing.

질량중심 및 압력중심을 이용한 여자 중학생의 하이클리어 동작 비교 분석 (Comparative analysis of high-clear motion of female middle school student using COM and COP parameter)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 배드민턴 여자 중학생 전문선수(10명)와 방과 후 배드민턴 수업에 참여하는 일반학생(10명)의 하이클리어 동작 시 COM과 COP의 수평거리, 그리고 COM과 COP의 이동패턴의 차이를 비교 분석하는데 있다. 두 그룹 간 하이클리어 스트로크 이후 착지 시점(E4)에서 COM과 COP의 X축과 Y축에서의 수평거리와 백스윙, 포워드스윙, 스윙전체의 X축, Y축, 그리고 Z축에서 COM의 최대이동범위의 차이를 비교하기 위해 독립표본 T-test를 실시한 결과, 첫째, 하이클리어 스트로크 임팩트 이후 착지 시점(E4)에서 여자 중학생 전문선수는 전후방향(X축)에서 COM와 COP지점이 일반학생에 비해 매우 가깝게 위치하였다. 둘째, 전문선수는 COM의 수직움직임, 일반선수는 COM의 수평움직임을 적극적으로 활용하였다.

운동역학의 교육과 연구용 도구로서 Mathcad의 유용성 (Mathcad program as a useful tool for the teaching and studying the sport biomechanics)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the usefulness of the Mathcad program as a tool for the studying and teaching the sport biomechanics. A projectile motion was analyzed because it is the one of the most popular motion in sports activities. A 3 dimensional CG data for the high jump bar clear phase was used to calculate the initial velocity vector of the CG. Linear regression function and other functions such as cubic spline and derivative of Mathcad were used to calculate this vector. Finally, the approach angle to the bar and peak jump height was calculated. Programming in Mathcad was relatively easy compare to traditional computer language such as Fortran and C, because of the unique documentation method of Mathcad. Additionally the 2 and 3 dimensional graph function was very easy and useful to describe the mechanical data. If the use of Mathcad program is more popular in the field of sport biomechanics, it could greatly contribute to overcome the limit of research caused by the lack of proper programming ability.

  • YBCO do superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometers based on bicrystal junctions have been fabricated for magnetocardiograph (MCG) measurements. We could fabricate YBCO SQUID magnetometers having magnetic field noise of about $20fT/Hz^{1/2}$ at white noise region. We have developed an MCG system employing the high performance SQUID magnetometers. The lightweight MCG system, requiring liquid nitrogen as a coolant, consists of 6-channel SQUID sensors, an adjustable patient bed with sliding motion, and data analyses software. The MCG system could record quite clear MCG signals in a room with moderate magnetic shielding. In normal operation with multi-position MCG measurements, we could obtain clear 48-point mappings of magnetic field map and current source map with high enough signal qualities far clinical trials.

  • This paper presents the organisation and the technical structure of a remote controlled laboratory in the field of high dynamic drives and motion control. It is part of the PEMCWebLab project with the goal of providing students with practical experience on real systems in the field of power electronics and drives. The whole project is based on clear targets and leading ideas. A set of experiments can be remotely performed on a real system to stepwise identify a two axes positioning system and to design different cascaded control loops. Each single experiment is defined by its goals, the content of how to achieve them, and a verification of the results as well as the achieved learning outcomes. After a short description of the PEMCWebLab project, the structure of the remote control is presented together with the hardware applied. One important point is error handling as real machines and power electronics are applied. Finally, a selection of experiments is presented to show the graphical user interface and the sequence of the laboratory.

  • 높은 앞축율을 가지는 동영상 압축 방법에 있어, 공간영역에서의 프랙탈을 이용한 동영상 앞축 방법은 복원영상의 블록화 현상이 두드러지는 단점이 있고, 웨이브릿 / 변환 영역에서의 동영상 압축 방법은 에지의 열화가 생기는 단점이 있다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 높은 압축률에서도 에지가 선명하고 블록화 현상이 없는 웨이브릿 변환 영역에서의 프랙탈을 이용한 동영상 압축 방법을 제안한다 제안한 방법에서는 서로 다른 부대역간의 상관성을 이용하여 가변 블록 크기의 움 직임을 추정하고, 움직임 추청에 의하여 효과적으로 부호화되지 않는 웨이브릿 계수들은 저해상도 부대역에서 고해상도 부대역을 계층적으로 추정하는 프레임간 프랙탈 부호화 한다. 실험을 통하여 제안한 방법이 기존의 프랙탈과 웨이브릿을 이용한 동영상 부호와 방법도 더 좋은 성능을 나타냄을 보였다.

H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC에서의 B 픽쳐를 위한 시간적 다이렉트 모드 (Temporal Directmode for B Picture in H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC)

  • 본 논문은 H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC 비디오 코덱에서 쌍예측 픽쳐의 시간적 다이렉트 모드의 모션벡터를 유포하는 방법을 소개한다. 우선, 다이렉트 모드의 list 1 레퍼런스 픽쳐에 있는 동일 위치 블록에서의 시간적 다이렉트 모드의 모션벡터 유포를 위해 사용될 모션벡터 결정 방법과 상기 결정된 모션벡터가 가리키는 레퍼런스 픽쳐를 다이렉트 모드의 list 0 레퍼런스 픽쳐로 결정하는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 동일 위치의 매크로블록이 인트라 모드를 예측모드로 가지고 있을 때, 코딩 효율을 높이기 위한 방법으로써 레퍼런스 픽쳐 인덱스 및 다이렉트 모드의 모션벡터를 공간적으로 예측하는 기법을 제시한다. 그리고, 쌍예측 픽쳐 매크로블록과 다이렉트 모드의 list 1 레퍼런스 픽쳐에 있는 동일 위치 블록은 프레임 모드 또는 피일드 모드로 코딩이 이루어질 수 있으므로 4가지 경우에 대한 다이렉트 모드의 모션벡터 연산 방법을 소개한다. 마지막으로, 실험을 통한 공간적 다이렉트 모드와의 성능평가 결과를 보임으로써, 본 논문이 제시한 기법이 H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC의 시간적 다이렉트 모드에 적용될 수 있음을 보여준다.
