고내열 페라이트계 스테인레스 주강의 고온인장특성 평가 (High Temperature Tensile Properties of Heat-resistant Cast Ferritic Stainless Steels)

  • Exhaust manifold is a very important component that is directly connected to air environment pollution and that requires strict mechanical properties such as high temperature fatigue and oxidation. Among stainless steels, the ferritic stainless steel with body-centered cubic structure shows excellent resistance of stress-corrosion cracking, ferromagnetic at room temperature, very excellent cold workability and may not be enhanced by heat treatment. The microstructural characteristics of four cast ferritic stainless steels which are high heat-resistant materials, were analyzed. By comparing and evaluating the mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature in a range of 400℃~800℃, a database was established to control and predict the required properties and the mechanical properties of the final product. The precipitates of cast ferritic stainless steels were analyzed and the high-temperature deformation characteristics were evaluated by comparative analysis of hardness and tensile characteristics of four steels at room temperature and from 400℃ to 800℃.

강섬유 보강 폴리머 콘크리트의 강도특성 및 휨인성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Strength Characteristics and Flexural Toughness of Steel Fiber Reinforced Polymer Concrete)

  • The use of steel fiber reinforced to improve the strength and flexural toughness of concrete is well known, but reinforcement of polymer concrete with steel fibers has been hardly reported till now. Polymer concrete has high strength, durability and freeze-thaw resistance than that of cement concrete, but it has disadvantage such as low flexural toughness. In this paper, the strength characteristics and flexural toughness of steel fiber reinforced polymer concrete are investigated experimentally with various steel fiber aspect ratios($\ell$/d), and contents(vol.%). As the result, the flexural and splitting tensile strengths and flexural toughness were increased aspect ratio, and reach the maximums at a aspect ratio of 50. The relationship between the compressive, flexural and splitting tensile strength were high. And the relationship between flexural strength and strain energy was approximately linear.

섬유 조합에 따른 초고성능 콘크리트의 인장거동 (Tensile Behavior of Ultra-High Performance Concrete According to Combination of Fibers)

  • 초고성능 콘크리트는 높은 강도와 유동성을 갖는 우수한 재료 특성을 나타내는 콘크리트이다. 그러나 고연성 시멘트 복합체에 비하여 낮은 연성을 나타낸다. 이 연구에서는 강섬유와 마이크로섬유의 조합이 초고성능 콘크리트의 인장거동에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 이를 위하여 강섬유와 폴리에틸렌, 폴리비닐알코올, 현무암섬유 조합에 따라 4가지 초고성능 콘크리트 배합을 결정하였고, 인장거동을 평가하기 위하여 직접인장 실험을 수행하였다. 또한 마이크로섬유가 제조과정에서 의도하지 않은 과도한 기포를 생성하는지를 확인하기 위하여 밀도실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 인장강도가 높은 폴리에틸렌섬유는 초고성능 콘크리트의 인장거동을 향상시키는데 효과적임을 확인하였고, 현무암섬유는 초고성능 콘크리트의 균열강도 및 인장강도를 증가시키는데 효과적임을 확인하였다. 또한 마이크로섬유가 의도하지 않은 기포를 생성하지 않는다는 것도 확인하였다.

차체용 1.2GPa급 초고장력 TRIP강판의 저항 점 용접부 너겟 지름 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of Nugget Diameter of Resistance Spot Welded Part of 1.2GPa Ultra High Strength TRIP Steel for Vehicle)

  • 최근 자동차 산업에서는 연비향상 및 안전규제 강화에 따라 차량 경량화가 필수적으로 요구됨에 따라 DP강(Dual Phase steel), CP강(Complex Phase steel), MS강(Martensitic Steel), TRIP강(Transformation Induced Plasticity steel), TWIP강(Twinning Induced Plasticity steel) 등과 같은 인장강도 700MPa 이상인 초고장력강(Ultra High Strength Steel)의 적용이 증가하고 있다. 초고장력강을 차체에 적용하기 위해서는 용접공정이 필수적이며, 원가 측면에서 유리한 전기저항점용접(Resistance Spot Welding, RSW)이 차체 용접에서 80%이상으로 가장 많이 적용되고 있다. 초고장력강은 강도향상을 위해 합금원소 함량을 늘이기 때문에 일반적으로 용접성이 열악한 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 초고장력강의 저항점용접의 경우 적정 용접조건 영역이 축소되고 용접부에서 계면파단 및 부분계면파단이 발생하는 것으로 보고되어 있어 결함 및 품질을 실시간으로 예측할 수 있는 용접품질 판정 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 저항 점 용접을 수행할 때 검출되는 2차 회로 공정 변수를 이용하여 용접부의 동저항을 모니터링하고, 이 동저항 패턴에서 용접 품질 판단에 필요한 인자들을 추출하였다. 추출한 인자들을 상관분석하여 용접 품질과의 상관성을 파악하였으며, 상관성이 높은 인자들을 이용하여 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이를 근거로 현장 적용이 가능한 회귀 모델을 제시하였다.

내진용 600 및 700 MPa 급 고강도 철근의 미세조직과 인장 특성 비교 (Comparative Study of Microstructure and Tensile Properties of 600 and 700 MPa-Grade High-Strength Seismic Resistant Reinforced Steel Bars)

  • This study deals with the microstructure and tensile properties of 600 and 700 MPa-grade high-strength seismic reinforced steel bars. High-strength seismic resistant reinforced steel bars (SD 600S and SD 700S) were fabricated by TempCore process, especially the SD 700S specimen was more rapid cooled than the SD 600S specimen during the TempCore process. Although two specimens had microstructure of tempered martensite in the surface region, the SD 600S specimen had ferrite-degenerated pearlite in the center region, whereas the SD 700S specimen had bainite-ferrite-degenerated pearlite in the center region. Therefore, their hardness was highest in the surface region and revealed a tendency to decrease from the surface region to the center region because tempered martensite has higher hardness than ferrite-degenerated pearlite or bainite. The SD 700S specimen revealed higher hardness in the center region than SD 600S specimen because it contained a larger amount of bainite as well as ferrite-degenerated pearlite. On the other hand, tensile test results indicated the SD 600S and SD 700S specimens revealed continuous yielding behavior because of formation of degenerated pearlite or bainite in the center region. The SD 600S specimen had a little higher tensile-to-yield ratio because the presence of ferrite and degenerated pearlite in the center region and the lower fraction of tempered martensite enhance work hardening.

Cu 함유 TRIP형 고장력 강판의 잔류오스테나이트 및 인장특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Retained Austenite and Tensile Properties of TRIP Type High Strength Steel Sheet with Cu)

  • Volume fraction and morphology of retained austenite, tensile properties of TRIP type high strength steel sheet with Fe-C-Si-Mn-Cu chemical composition have been investigated. The retained austenite of granular, bar and film type existing in specimen was obtained after intercritical annealing and austempering. The granular type retained austenite increased with increase of intercritical annealing and austempering temperature. With increase of intercritical annealing temperature, retained austenite and carbon contents increased. Maximum contents of retained austenite was obtained by austempering at $400^{\circ}C$. The maximum tensile strength was obtained by austempering at $450^{\circ}C$ and maximum elongation was obtained at $400^{\circ}C$. T.S${\times}$E.L value increased with increase of retained austenite contents due to the elongation strongly controlled by contents of retained austenite, but tensile strength was affected with various factors such as bainitic structure etc.

열환원반응관용 내열강의 미세조직과 고온변형거동 (Microstructure and High Temperature Deformation Behavior of Heat Resistant Stainless Steel for a Retort)

  • High temperature deformation behavior of a heat-resistant duplex stainless steel, used as a retort in the Pidgeon process for Mg production, was investigated in this study. 25Cr-8Ni based duplex stainless steels were cast into rectangular ingots, with dimensions of $350mm{\times}350mm{\times}100mm$. Nitrogen and yttrium were added at 0.3wt.% each to enhance the heat-resistance of the steel. Phase equilibrium was calculated using the thermodynamic software FactSage$^{(R)}$ and the database of FSStel. For comparison, cast 310S steel, a widely used heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel, was also examined in this study. Dilatometry was conducted on the as-cast ingots for the temperature range from RT to $1200^{\circ}C$ and the thermal expansion coefficients were evaluated. The nitrogen addition was found to have an effect on the thermal expansion behavior for temperatures between 800 and $1000^{\circ}C$. High temperature tensile and compression tests were conducted on the ingots for temperatures ranging from 900 to $1230^{\circ}C$, which is the operation temperature employed in Mg production by the Silico-thermic reduction process. The steel containing both N and Y showed much higher strength as compared to 310S.

강섬유 보강 초고성능 콘크리트의 탄성계수 및 인장강도 평가 (An Evaluation of Elasticity Modulus and Tensile Strength of Ultra High Performance Concrete)

  • 최근에 활발히 연구되어지고 있는 UHPC의 경우, 강섬유 혼입량에 의해서 인장강도가 절대적으로 영향을 받는 이유로 본 논문에서는 압축강도, 강섬유량 등을 변수로 하여 압축강도, 탄성계수 및 인장강도 등을 실험적으로 구한 후, 그 결과를 분석하였다. 실험결과에 의하면, 압축강도와 탄성계수 및 인장강도는 비례관계로 상당한 상관성을 가지는 것으로 나타났으며, 섬유혼입률에 따른 압축강도와 인장강도의 관계 역시는 비례관계의 상관성을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 탄성계수의 경우, 실험결과와 현행 국내 설계기준 식의 차이는 그다지 크지 않은 것으로 나타나, 기존의 설계기준 식을 준용하여도 UHPC 탄성계수 평가에는 큰 문제가 없을 것으로 예상된다. 한편 인장강도의 경우, 현행 설계기준에서 제시되지 않은 이유로 비선형 회귀분석을 실시하여 섬유혼입률을 고려한 인장강도 식을 제안하였으며, 제안된 식은 좋은 상관성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

쇄빙선 강재의 내충격 특성에 관한 실험적 연구: 제1부 강재 특성 (Study on Crashworthiness of Icebreaker Steel: Part I Steel Properties)

  • This paper presents a study on the crashworthiness of the scaled-down stiffened panels used on a Korean icebreaker. In order to validate the crashworthiness of the panels, this paper provides various mechanical properties such as the results of a CVN test, quasi-static tensile test, and high-speed tensile test at arctic temperatures. Two types of steels (EH32 and FH32) were chosen for the material tests. CVN tests revealed that the two steels were equivalent up to −60℃ in terms of their impact energy absorption capacity. However, the toughness of FH32 was significantly superior to that of EH32. EH32 showed slightly higher flow stresses at all temperature levels compared to FH32. The improvement ratios of the yield strengths, tensile strengths, plastic hardening exponents, etc. for FH32, which were obtained from quasi-static tensile tests, showed an apparent ascending tendency with a decrease in temperature. Dynamic tensile test results were obtained for the two temperatures levels of 20℃ and −60℃ with two plastic strain rate levels of 1 s−1 and 100 s−1. A closed form empirical formula proposed by Choung et al. (2011;2013) was shown to be effective at predicting the flow stress increase due to a strain rate increase.

Static behavior of high strength friction-grip bolt shear connectors in composite beams

  • Superior to traditional welded studs, high strength friction-grip bolted shear connectors facilitate the assembling and demounting of the composite members, which maximizes the potential for efficiency in the construction and retrofitting of new and old structures respectively. Hence, it is necessary to investigate the structural properties of high strength friction-grip bolts used in steel concrete composite beams. By means of push-out tests, an experimental study was conducted on post-installed high strength friction-grip bolts, considering the effects of different bolt size, concrete strength, bolt tensile strength and bolt pretension. The test results showed that bolt shear fracture was the dominant failure mode of all specimens. Based on the load-slip curves, uplifting curves and bolt tensile force curves between the precast concrete slab and steel beam obtained by push-out tests, the anti-slip performance of steel-concrete interface and shear behavior of bolt shank were studied, including the quantitative analysis of anti-slip load, and anti-slip stiffness, frictional coefficient, shear stiffness of bolt shank and ultimate shear capacity. Meanwhile, the interfacial anti-slip stiffness and shear stiffness of bolt shank were defined reasonably. In addition, a total of 56 push-out finite element models verified by the experimental results were also developed, and used to conduct parametric analyses for investigating the shear behavior of high-strength bolted shear connectors in steel-concrete composite beams. Finally, on ground of the test results and finite element simulation analysis, a new design formula for predicting shear capacity was proposed by nonlinear fitting, considering the bolt diameter, concrete strength and bolt tensile strength. Comparison of the calculated value from proposed formula and test results given in the relevant references indicated that the proposed formulas can give a reasonable prediction.
