가동자석형 광 픽업 엑츄에이터의 개발 (Development of Moving Magnet Type Optical Pickup Actuator)

  • In this paper we suggested the moving magnet type actuator for optical disc drive which has high frequency of flexible mode. Generally, moving magnet type actuator has the advantage for increase the frequency of flexible mode. But it has low driving sensitivity due to the weight of its moving part. To overcome this shortcoming, we designed the model with the closed electromagnetic circuit for tracking direction. In addition, we improved the driving sensitivity and frequency of flexible mode by using of DOE (design of experiment) procedure for EM circuit. Consequently, it is verified that final designed model satisfied with the desired specifications.

  • As high-definition television(HDTV) broadcasting were generalized, there have been many researches and developments about large storage capacity and fast data transfer rate in optical disk drives(ODD). Pickup actuators must have high flexible mode frequencies and gain margins. Flexible modes are caused by the flexibility of moving parts in the actuator and a servo bandwidth is limited by them. As a result, the system becomes unstable for high-speed operations in high density reading and recording. In this paper, we suggest improved modeling method that considers the bonding layer. And, flexible mode frequency of actuator is improved by Design of Experiment of lens holder. Magnet circuit is designed considering the relation with moving part. Through improving yoke design, the magnetic flux is changed and DC tilt is reduced. Consequently, we designed actuator which has high flexible mode frequency and gain margins.

Pickup actuators must have high flexible mode frequencies and large gain margins.   • In order to not only perform as a extreme model under the severe operating condition but also acquire more diverse and advanced control capability utilizing high compliance, active vibration control of a flexible 2-link robot manipulator are investigated. Multi variable-structured frequency shaped optimal sliding mode is proposed for the flexible robot manipulator like control system, whose control variables, an angular motion of joint and vibration of flexible link, have to be controlled simultaneously by one control torque at a driving joint. The control system is divided into two subsystems, a control input related subsystem and an added subsystem. The proposed sliding mode, composed of multi control variables, makes optimized relation between subsystems and a individual control input, thus, the sliding mode controller can compensate whole dynamics of each subsystems simultaneously. And the possibility and effectiveness are verified by vibration control of a manipulator having two flexible links. Simulation and experiment results show that the proposed control scheme achieves the purpose effectively.

  • An estimation of high-order damping in flexible multibody dynamic simulation is introduced in this paper. The suggested damping model based on the experimental modal analysis leads to more accurate correlation results comparing to the traditional linear damping model because it directly uses the modal parameters of each mode achieved from experiment even high frequency modes. The modal parameters until the 5th mode are extracted from the experimental modal testing of the flexible beam using a high speed camera. And using the measured damping ratio and natural frequency until the 5th mode, the generic damping model is constructed. Then, the ANCF (absolute Nodal Coordinate Formulation) simulation results are compared to experimental results until the 5th mode.

  • 본 논문에서는 고진공용 터보분자펌프의 비접촉 고속회전을 위한 자기베어링 시스템의 디지털 제어시스템의 설계에 대하여 소개하였으며, 실례로 800 l/s급의 고진공 펌프에 대하여 축 유연모드의 후방향 위험속도를 넘는 최대 40,000 rpm까지의 회전실험 결과를 나타내었다. 제안된 제어시스템은 기본적으로 PID 기반의 직접궤환 제어기와 자이로스코픽 모멘트 효과를 제어하기 위한 교차궤환기, 유연모우드 감쇄를 위한 리드필터와 동기진동 저감을 위한 노치필터 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 이러한 제어기는 자기부상형 터보분자펌프 외에 고속 플라이휠과 같은 자기베어링에 적용될 수 있다.

  • Recently, as the demand of the information storage devices with large storage capacity such as BD(Blu-ray Disk) and HDTV(high-definition television) is increased, the optical storage devices are also required to have fast data transfer rate and large storage capacity. To satisfy these requirements, the actuator for optical disk drive should have high flexible mode frequencies for system stability. In this paper, we suggested a moving magnet type actuator having high flexible mode frequency. However, the moving magnet type actuator does not have sufficient driving sensitivities due to the weight of its moving part. To improve driving sensitivities, we designed the model with the closed electromagnetic circuit for tracking direction. In addition, driving sensitivities and flexible mode frequencies were improved by using DOE(Design of Experiments) for magnetic circuit and modifying the lens holder. Consequently, it is confirmed that the designed model is satisfied with the desired specifications.

  • As a standard of optical disk drive (ODD) was determined to Blu-ray diks (BD), researches for securing slim drive thickness, high data transfer rate and high capacity have been progressed. The actuator for applying BD is also required to have high performances, such as compatibility, slim thickness and 3-axis motion. In this paper, an asymmetric dual lens actuator is proposed to satisfy abovementioned performances. To design the actuator in a limited space, stress analysis and design of experiment (DOE) are performed to reduce weight of moving part and increase driving force and flexible mode frequency. Consequently, the final model, which is satisfied with specifications, is secured.

아치구조와 기둥간의 고유진동수비에 따른 아치구조물의 동적응답특성 (Dynamic Response of Arch Structure according to Natural Frequency Ratio between Arch and Columns)

  • Long span arch structure is composed of arch as relatively flexible structure and column as relatively rigid structure. In this study, the characteristic of dynamic response is analyzed according to the natural frequency ratio between arch and columns. The result of analysis for arch as relatively vertical vibration mode is dominant, the influence of columns mainly appears at relatively high frequency band according to increase of 1st mode frequency in column. However, the dynamic characteristic of arch structure is expected to vary with not only frequency ratio but interaction between vibration modes of arch and columns.

Numerical investigation of vortex shedding and vortex-induced vibration for flexible riser models

  • The numerical study about the vortex-induced vibration and vortex shedding in the wake has been presented. Prior to the numerical simulation of flexible riser systems concerning engineering conditions, efficiency validating of the proposed FSI solution method have been performed. The comparison between numerical simulation and published experimental data shows that the CFD method designed for FSI solution could give acceptable result for the VIV prediction of flexible riser/pipe system. As meaningful study on VIV and vortex shedding mode with the focus on flexible riser model systems, two kinds of typical simulation cases have been carried out. One was related to the simulation of vortex visualization in the wake for a riser model subject to forced oscillation, and another was related to the simulation of fluid-structure interaction between the pipes of coupled multi-assembled riser system. The result from forced oscillation simulation shows that the vortex-induced vibration with high response frequency but small instantaneous vibration amplitude contributes to vortex conformation as much as the forced oscillation with large normalized amplitude does, when the frequency of forced oscillation was relatively high. In the multi-assembled riser systems, it has been found that the external current velocity and the distance between two pipes are the critical factors to determine the vibration state and the steady vibration state emerging in quad-pipe system may be destroyed more easily than dual-pipe system.
