Implementation of higo-speed vehicle state verification system using wireless network (무선 네트워크를 이용한 고속 차량 상태 확인 시스템 구현)

  • Recently, wireless network services are widely used, depending on the development of wireless network module technologies and the utilization gradually expanded, and thus is a trend that appears a lot of IT convergence industries. For this study, the OBD-II communication to Import your vehicle information, and other external devices in high-speed driving condition of the vehicle to verify the information system was developed to transfer data to an external server. From various sensors inside the vehicle using the OBD-II connector easily convert all users to read the information, then, Sent to the external server using the wireless network module, high-speed vehicle status check system was implemented. It was to test the performance of the system was developed using the actual circuit in a high-speed road racing vehicles. Transfer data generated from high-speed driving vehicles through the OBD-II scanner and check the status of a high-speed vehicle system was confirmed that this data is normally received. In the future, these new cars convergence of IT technology will grow as a new field of research.

  • In recent years, with the rapid development of large and medium-sized urban rail transit in China, the total operating mileage of high-speed railway and the total number of EMUs(Electric Multiple Units) are rising. The system complexity of high-speed EMU is constantly increasing, which puts forward higher requirements for the safety of equipment and the efficiency of maintenance.At present, the maintenance mode of high-speed EMU in China still adopts the post maintenance method based on planned maintenance and fault maintenance, which leads to insufficient or excessive maintenance, reduces the efficiency of equipment fault handling, and increases the maintenance cost. Based on the intelligent operation and maintenance technology of PHM(prognostics and health management). This thesis builds an integrated PHM platform of "vehicle system-communication system-ground system" by integrating multi-source heterogeneous data of different scenarios of high-speed EMU, and combines the equipment fault mechanism with artificial intelligence algorithms to build a fault prediction model for traction motors of high-speed EMU.Reliable fault prediction and accurate maintenance shall be carried out in advance to ensure safe and efficient operation of high-speed EMU.

  • The newly established high speed railway station may function not only just as a traffic convergence but also as an energizing force with multiple roles in the context of municipal environment. As a result, the development of high speed railway station zone will be considered as great opportunities as well to enhance quality of life of the neighboring inhabitants, as to develop new footholds for the inner-municipal growth and mobilization. The main purpose of this article is to offer guidelines about the effects of development of the high speed railway station zone seen from multiple aspects of municipal lifes and functions. To attain this purpose, the definition of high speed railway station zone, its characteristics, and its roles will be handled with the case of advanced countries such as Japan and France. And some lessons will be proposed based on them.

The Effect of Shoe Heel Types and Gait Speeds on Knee Joint Angle in Healthy Young Women - A Preliminary Study

  • The consequences of wearing high heels can be different according to the heel height, gait speed, shoe design, heel base area, and shoe size. This study aimed to focus on the knee extension and flexion range of motion (ROM) during gait, which were challenged by wearing five different shoe heel types and two different self-selected gait speeds (comfortable and fast) as experimental conditions. Measurement standards of knee extension and flexion ROM were individually calibrated at the time of heel strike, mid-stance, toe-off, and stance phase based on the 2-minute video recordings of each gait condition. Seven healthy young women (20.7 ± 0.8 years) participated and they were asked to walk on a treadmill wearing the five given shoes at a self-selected comfortable speed (average of 2.4 ± 0.3 km/h) and a fast speed (average of 5.1 ± 0.2 km/h) in a random order. All of the shoes were in size 23.5 cm. Three of the given shoes were 9.0 cm in height, the other two were flat shoes and sneakers. A motion capture software (Kinovea 0.8.27) was used to measure the kinematic data; changes in the knee angles during each gait. During fast speed gait, the knee extension angles at heel strike and mid-stance were significantly decreased in all of the 3 high heels (p<0.05). The results revealed that fast gait speed causes knee flexion angle to significantly increase at toe-off in all five types of shoes. However, there was a significant difference in both the knee flexion and extension angles when the gait in stiletto heels and flat shoes were compared in fast gait condition (p<0.05). This showed that walking fast in high heels leads to abnormal knee ROM and thus can cause damages to the knee joints. The findings in this preliminary study can be a basis for future studies on the kinematic changes in the lower extremity during gait and for the analysis of causes and preventive methods for musculoskeletal injuries related to wearing high heels.

An Echo Canceller Robust to Noise and Residual Echo

  • When we talk with hands-free in a car or noisy lobby, the performance of the echo canceller degrade because background noise added to echo caused by the distance from mouth to microphone is relatively long. It gives a reason for necessity of noise-robust and high convergence speed adaptive algorithm. And if acoustic echo canceller operated not perfectly, residual signal going through the echo canceller to far-end speaker remains residual echo, which degrade quality of talk. To solve this problem, post-processing needed to remove residual echo ones more. In this paper, we propose a new acoustic echo canceller, which has noise robust and high convergence speed, linked with linear predictor as a post-processor. By computer simulation, it is confirmed that the proposed algorithm shows better performance from acoustic interference cancellation (AIC) viewpoint.

  • Container ships are getting bigger due to the increase in global cargo volume. Therefore, it needs to increase the speed for loading and unloading of containers at the quayside. Traditionally, only one container is handled at once at the quayside due to it's heavy weight. In this paper, a method of handling multiple containers at once using chassis is proposed. Proposed system is consists of a container chassis that can hold three layer stacked containers, transport system that can handle the container chassis including rail-based or vehicle-based roll-on roll-off systems, and dedicated crane system. The conceptual design of crane and transport system that can handle three stacked containers is carried out and verified. The proposed system can be adopted for real quayside container handling system with high speed.

Modified Genetic Algorithm for Fast Beam Formation in Wireless Network (무선 메쉬 네트워크 환경에서 빠른 빔형성을 위한 개선된 유전알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes a modified genetic algorithm that has the same beamforming performance and a fast convergence speed using general genetic algorithm in order to form a beam for the mobile node in a mesh network. The proposed beamforming genetic algorithm selects a part of chromosome a high fitness value in mating process to obtain fast convergence speed, and rest part of chromosome with longer fitness value in order to avoid local solution. Furthermore, the reference beam pattern with Gaussian shape reduces additional convergence speed. Simulation shows that the convergence speed of proposed algorithm improves 20% compared with that of conventional beamforming genetic algorithm.

  • This paper presents the high speed noise reduction processing system using the modified discrete fourier transform(MDFT) on the frequency domain. The proposed filter uses the linear prediction coefficients of the adaptive line enhance(ALE) method based on the Sign algorithm The signals with a random noise tracking performance are examined through computer simulations. It is confirmed that the fast adaptive digital filter is realized by the high speed adaptive noise reduction(HANR) algorithm with rapid convergence on the frequency domain(FD).

  • In this paper we propose a new ENMODL(Enhanced-NORA-MODL) CLA(Carry-Look Ahead Adder) for high speed and low power multiplier. To reduce transistor counts, area and power dissipation we developed new-approaches. The method makes use of a dynamic CMOS logic ENMODL CLA. The advantage of ENMODL is small area and high speed The speed of ENMODL CLA is invreased by 6.27 % as compared with conventional NMOCL CLA. The proposed method was verified by HSPICE simulation and layout througth 0.6${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS process.

  • We have proposed the adaptive noise reduction algorithm using the MDFT. The algorithm proposed use the linear prediction coefficients of the AR method based on Sign algorithm that is the modified LMS instead of the least mean square(LMS). The signals with a random noise tracking performance are examined through computer simulations and confirmed that the high speed adaptive noise reduction processing system is realized with rapid convergence.
