Deadbeat and Hierarchical Predictive Control with Space-Vector Modulation for Three-Phase Five-Level Nested Neutral Point Piloted Converters

  • To achieve a fast dynamic response and to solve the multi-objective control problems of the output currents, capacitor voltages and system constraints, this paper proposes a deadbeat and hierarchical predictive control with space-vector modulation (DB-HPC-SVM) for five-level nested neutral point piloted (NNPP) converters. First, deadbeat control (DBC) is adopted to track the reference currents by calculating the deadbeat reference voltage vector (DB-RVV). After that, all of the candidate switching sequences that synthesize the DB-RVV are obtained by using the fast SVM principle. Furthermore, according to the redundancies of the switch combination and switching sequence, a hierarchical model predictive control (MPC) is presented to select the optimal switch combination (OSC) and optimal switching sequence (OSS). The proposed DB-HPC-SVM maintains the advantages of DBC and SVM, such as fast dynamic response, zero steady-state error and fixed switching frequency, and combines the characteristics of MPC, such as multi-objective control and simple inclusion of constraints. Finally, comparative simulation and experimental results of a five-level NNPP converter verify the correctness of the proposed DB-HPC-SVM.

  • This study uses distributed parameter systems as the spatial discretization technique, modelling in lumped parameter systems, and applies fast WALSH transform and the Picard's iteration method to high order partial differential equations and matrix partial differential equations. This thesis presents a new algorithm which usefully exercises the optimal control in the distributed parameter systems. In exercising optimal control of distributed parameter systems, excellent consequences are found without using the existing decentralized control or hierarchical control method. This study will help apply to linear time-varying systems and non-linear systems. Further research on algorithm will be required to solve the problems of convergence in case of numerous applicable intervals.

  • In this paper, a hierarchical fuzzy controller for stabilization of the inverted pendulum system is proposed. The facility of this hierarchical fuzzy controller which has a swing-up control mode and a stabilization one, moves a pendulum in an initial natural stable equilibrium point and a cart in arbitrary position to an unstable equilibrium point and a center of rail. Specially, the virtual equilibrium point (.PHI.$_{VEq}$ ) which describes functionally considers the interactive dynamics between a position of cart and a angle of inverted pendulum is introduced. And comparing with the convention optimal controller, the proposed hierarchical fuzzy inference made substantially the inverted pendulum system robust and stable.e.

  • 생화학적 산소요구량(BOD) 및 용존 산소(DO)을 이용하여 여러구간이 있는 강에 대한 이산 상태공간모델은 설정하였다. 상호작용 예측방법을 이용하여, 상태변수에 시간지연이 존재하는 대규모 시스템에 적용가능한 계층적 최적화 방법을 기술하였다. 정상상태 오차를 해석적으로 구하고, 상수 목표티 추적문제에 있어서 정상상태 오차가 발생하지 않을 필요충분조겆을 규명하였다. 수질오염 모델에 대한 컴퓨터 모사를 통하여 기술한 알고리듬의 타당성을 확인하였다.

Framework for End-to-End Optimal Traffic Control Law Based on Overlay Mesh

  • Along with the development of network, more and more functions and services are required by users, while traditional network fails to support all of them. Although overlay is a good solution to some demands, using them in an efficient, scalable way is still a problem. This paper puts forward a framework on how to construct an efficient, scalable overlay mesh in real network. Main differences between other overlays and ours are that our overlay mesh processes some nice features including class-of-service(CoS) and traffic engineering(TE). It embeds the end-to-end optimal traffic control law which can distribute traffic in an optimal way. Then, an example is given for better understanding the framework. Particularly, besides good scalability, and failure recovery, it possesses other characteristics such as routing simplicity, self-organization, etc. In such an overlay mesh, an applicable source routing scheme called hierarchical source routing is used to transmit data packet based on UDP protocol. Finally, a guideline derived from a number of simulations is proposed on how to set various parameters in this overlay mesh, which makes the overlay more efficient.

  • Aiming at the optimal placement of communication relay nodes (OPCRN) problem in manned/unmanned aerial vehicle cooperative engagement system, this paper designed a kind of fully connected broadband backbone communication topology. Firstly, problem description of OPCRN was given. Secondly, based on problem analysis, the element attributes and decision variables were defined, and a bi-level programming model including physical layer and logical layer was established. Thirdly, a hierarchical artificial bee colony (HABC) algorithm was adopted to solve the model. Finally, multiple sets of simulation experiments were carried out to prove the effectiveness and superiority of the algorithm.

This thesis presents a new algorithm which usefully exercises the optimal control in the distributed parameter systems.   • This article discusses the issue of optimizing controller design issues, in which the artificial intelligence (AI) evolutionary bat (EB) optimization algorithm is combined with the fuzzy controller in the practical application of the building. The controller of the system design includes different sub-parts such as system initial condition parameters, EB optimal algorithm, fuzzy controller, stability analysis and sensor actuator. The advantage of the design is that for continuous systems with polytypic uncertainties, the integrated H2/H∞ robust output strategy with modified criterion is derived by asymptotically adjusting design parameters. Numerical verification of the time domain and the frequency domain shows that the novel system design provides precise prediction and control of the structural displacement response, which is necessary for the active control structure in the fuzzy model. Due to genetic algorithm (GA), we use a hierarchical conditions of the Hurwitz matrix test technique and the limits of average performance, Hierarchical Fitness Function Structure (HFFS). The dynamic fuzzy controller proposed in this paper is used to find the optimal control force required for active nonlinear control of building structures. This method has achieved successful results in closed system design from the example.

  • This paper presents a method of hierachical optimal control for time invariant large scale systems via Single Term Walsh Series. It is well known that the optimal control of a large scale system with quadratic performance criteria often involves the determination of time varying feedback gain matrix by solving the matrix Riccati differential equation, which is usually quite difficult. Therefore, in order to solve the problem, this paper is introduced to Single Term Walsh Series. The advantages of proposed method are simple and attractive for the control of large scale system in computation.
