Characteristic of the Permeation Flux of Hollow Fiber Membranes by Process Pressures Change (공정압 변화에 따른 중공사막의 투과플럭스 특성)

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the performance of the separate membrane (HF; hollow fiber membrane with polysulfone) process applied with the external membrane types, internal pressure membrane types and external-internal types according to the variations of pressure and membrane pore size in the purification treatment process of the lake water. The maximum permeate flux was average values of 282 LMH and 234 LMH with the pore size of 0.3 and 0.05 ${\mu}m$ respectively in the external pressure membrane process, and 443 LMH and 522 LMH with the pore size of 0.3 and $0.05{\mu}m$ respectively in the internal pressure membrane process. In addition, the maximum permeate flux of the process that was applied with external and internal membrane pressure simultaneously showed the average values of 674 LMH with the pore size of $0.3{\mu}m$, and 648 LMH with the pore size of $0.05{\mu}m$. Therefore, maximum yield per unit area is supposed when the separate membrane that was applied with external and internal pressure simultaneously are used to treat the lake water.

Characteristics of Silicon Rich Oxide by PECVD (PECVD에 의한 Sirich 산화막의 특성)

  • By making the inter-metal PECVD $SiO_2$ as a Si rich oxide under the SOG, the hydrogen and water related diffusants could be captured a t SI dangling bonds. This gettering process was known to prevent the device characteristics degradations related to the H, $H_20$. The basic characteristics of Si rich oxide have been studied according to changing high/low frequency power and $SiH_4/N_2O$ gas flow ratio in PECVD. As increase in low frequency power, deposition rate decreased but K.I. and compressive stress increased. Decrease of the water peaks of FTIR spectra at the wave number range of 3300~3800$\textrm{cm}^{-1}$' also indicated that intensty the films were densified. As increase in SiH, gas flow rate, deposition rate, R.I. and etch rate increased while compressive stress decreased. F'TIK spectra showed that peak intensity corresponding to Si-0-Si stretching vibration decreased and shifted to the lower wave numbers. But AES showed that Si dangl~ng bonds were increased as a result of lower Si:O(l: 1.23) ratlo inthe Si rich oxide as compared to Si : O(1 : 1.98) ratio of usual oxide.

  • Sn도금액은 강산에서는 $Sn^{2+}$, 강알칼리에서는 $Sn^{4+}$석출이 안정하다. 중성영역은 도금액에 $Sn^{2+}$침전을 방지하기 위하여 착화제가 필요하다. 기록에 남아 있는 가장 오래된 Sn도금은 1856년 Gore가 4가의 주석산염을 사용한 알칼리성용액이다. 그 후 50~60년 사이에 2가의 염화주석($SnCl_2$)과 KOH에 Cyan 등의 착화제를 첨가한 도금액이 발표되었다. 최초의 실용적인 알칼리주석용액은 1931년 Oplinger의 4가 주석산 염으로서, $CH_3COONa$를 완충제로 사용하였고, $Sn^{2+}$을 산화시키기 위하여 과산화물이나 과 붕산염을 첨가하였다. 알칼리성 Sn용액은 Natrium용액과 Kalium용액이 있지만, Kalium염이 용해성이 좋고, Sn농도를 높여 전류밀도를 높일 수 있다. 알칼리성용액은 도금속도가 산성용액의 1/2로 되고, 음극효율도 80~90% 정도 낮아, 두꺼운 피막이나 생산성을 중시하는 부품에는 적합하지 않다. 초기의 산성용액은 Sn의 정련목적으로 사용되었고, Pb정련에 사용된 Fluor규산용액에 Gelatine을 첨가하였다. Mathers는 Cresol산을 첨가하여 미량의 Cresol포화용액을 사용하여 고속으로 두껍게 석출시킬 수 있었다. 독일의 Schloetter도 다양한 방향족 술폰산으로써 반 광택피막을 실현하였다. 산성Sn도금액은 첨가제에 어떠한 유기화합물을 사용하는가는 도금장치나 석출상태로써 결정할 수 있다. Hothersall과 Bradshaw는 Cresol술폰산을 첨가하여 도금액 안정성 향상을 발견했다. Cresol술폰산은 $Sn^{2+}$의 안정제이며, Gelatine은 분산제기능을 한다. 붕 불화용액은 Sn농도를 높일 수 있고, $2{\sim}12A/dm^2$의 고 전류밀도의 도금이 가능하다. 1937년 Schloetter가 개발하여 미국의 제철회사에서 사용되었다. Sn-Ni도금은 Ni도금보다도 뛰어난 내식성이 있기 때문에 자전거, 자동차부품에 사용되고 있다. 실용도금액은 1951년 Parkinson이 발표한 HBF/HCL용액이다. $SnCl_2$산성용액에서 표준전위는 -0.136V인데 비하여, Ni이온의 표준전위는 -0.25V이다. HF용액에서는 불화물이온이 $Sn^{2+}$의 석출전위를 (-)방향으로 이동시켜서 합금석출이 가능하다. Sn-Co도금은 Cr도금의 색조에 가깝고, 장식목적으로 사용된다. Cr도금 대체용으로 사용된다. 내마모성이나 내식성은 Cr도금보다도 떨어지기 때문에 장식목적에 한정된다. 1953년 Parkinson은 Sn-Ni도금연구에서 동일한 용액조성으로부터 Co 30%를 석출시켰다. Sn-Zn도금은 방식도금으로서 자동차부품에 많이 사용되고 있다. Sn과 Zn의 표준전위는 서로 멀리 떨어져 있기 때문에 산성용액에서는 공석될 수 없다. 1980년대에 들면서, 방식Cd(Cadmium)도금의 독성 때문에 Sn-Zn도금을 재인식 하게 되었다. 1957년 Vaid 등이 No Cyan도금액을 발표했다. 그 후 러시아의 연구자가 안정한 도금액을 연구하였고, Srivastava와 Muckergee가 1976년에 종합하였다.

Formation of lotus surface structure for high efficiency silicon solar cell (고효율 실리콘 태양전지를 위한 lotus surface 구조의 형성)

  • The reduction of optical losses in mono-crystalline silicon solar cell by surface texturing is a critical step to improve the overall cell efficiency. In this study, we have changed the sub-micrometer structure on the micrometer pyramidal structure by 2-step texturing. The Ag particles were coated on the micrometer pyramid surface in $AgNO_3$ solution, and then the etching with hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen peroxide created even smaller nano-pyramids in these pyramids. As a result, we observed that the changes of size and thickness of nano structure on pyramidal surface were determined by $AgNO_3$ concentration and etching time. Using 2-step texturing, the surface of wafers is etched to resemble the rough surface of a lotus leaf. Lotus surface can reduce average reflectance from 10% to below 3%. This reflectance is less than conventional textured wafer including anti-reflection coating.

A clinical study on patients with Cold Hypersensitivity on hands and feet and their autonomic nervous system function using of Heart Rate Variability(HRV) (수족냉증 환자의 실태 및 HRV(Heart Rate Variability)를 이용한 자율신경계 기능 평가 연구)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to analyze basic data for cold hypersensitivity patients with a questionnaire and investigate correlation between cold hypersensitivity and Heart Rate Variability(HRV). Methods : 49 patients who complain of cold hypersensitivity on hands and feet in ambulatory care were investigated in Oriental Gynecology, Kyunghee Oriental Medical Center and Women medical center, Kangnam Koreana hospital from May 1, 2006 to October 20, 2006. All patients were asked to answer a questionnaire. After careful I examination to rule out other disease which may affect Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging(DITI) and HRV data, patients were taken thermography for the diagnosis of cold hypersensitivity Based on the result of thermography, the patients were divided into two groups(Objective cold hypersensitivity and Subjective cold hypersensitivity). Then, these two groups were compared using HRV data which was measured in the supine position for 5 minutes. Results: 1. For most patients, cold hypersensitivity first developed during puberty. 2. The parts of the body that felt cold first time were hands and feet. 3. The cold sensation was increased in winter or at bedtime Showing that the sensation can be changed according to the level of coldness. 4. Among women who sufferfrom cold hypersensitivity, very few of them were treated. 5. More than half of cold hypersensitivity patients's family member also had a cold hypersensitivity. 6. The decrease in mean values of LF/HF ratio was observed in objective cold hypersensitivity group than subjective cold hypersensitivity group and the decrease was significant(P=0.014) when examined by Student t-test. Conclusions : It is necessary that the cold hypersensitivity patients should be treated carefully considering the facts mentioned above. And it can be suggested that dysautinomia be related with cold hypersensitivity and be evaluated by HRV.

Commercial Wheat Flour Quality and Bread Making Conditions for Korean-style Steamed Bread (한국형 찐빵 제조에 적합한 시판 밀가루 품질 밑 적정 제빵 조건)

  • This study was to investigate the flour quality and bread making condition required for Korean-style steamed bread, using 5 commercial wheat flours (protein content from 8.2 to 12.5%), They were compared in making steamed bread (SB) and baked roll bread (BRB). Straight dough method was used and the temperatures of dough and fermentation were controlled at 26$^{\circ}C$ and 32$^{\circ}C$, respectively. The first fermentation was conducted at various times (0, 20, 40 and 60 min) and then forty min of proofing (2nd fermentation) was used for all bread dough. As the 1st fermentation time increased, volumes of both SB and BRB increased 4.3 ~8.7% and 27~40%, respectively, but the SB flattened and the total bread scores of SB decreased due to the lack of smoothness and shininess of the bread surface and poor grain. Contrary to that, the total bread scores of BRB increased. SB made from the flour containing 10.5% of protein, was of its highest quality: relatively high volume, smooth, semiglossy and white surface, good texture, followed by SB made from flours containing 10.9%, 9.5%, 12.5%, and 8.2% of protein content, respectively These results suggest that the 1st fermentation process was not needed for SB making. Total bread scores of SB were better correlated with farinograph dough stability than protein contents and volumes of SB were correlated with farinograph development time. Therefore, in steamed bread making, flour dough rheology is important as well as protein content.

mPW1PW91 Calculated Conformational Study of Calix[n]arene (n = 4,5,6): Hydrogen Bond (캘릭스[n]아렌(n = 4,5,6)의 이형체들의 상대적인 안정성과 수소결합에 대한 양자역학적 계산연구)

  • We have performed mPW1PW91 calculations to investigate the conformational characteristics and hydrogen bonds of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (1), p-tert-butylcalix[5]arene (2), calix[6]arene (3) and p-tertbutylcalix[6]arene (4). The structures of the different conformers of 1-3 were optimized by using mPW1PW91/6-31+G(d,p) method. The relative stability of the four conformers of 1 is in the following order: cone (most stable) > partial-cone > 1,2-alternate > 1,3-alternate. The relative stability of the conformers of 2 is in the following order: cone (most stable) > 1,2-alternate > partial-cone > 1,3-alternate. The relative stability of the various conformers of 3 is in the following order: cone (pinched: most stable) > partial-cone > cone (winged) - 1,2-alternate - 1,2,3-alternate > 1,4-alternate > 1,3-alternate > 1,3,5-alternate. The structures of the various conformers of 4 were optimized by using the mPW1PW91/6-31G(d,p) method followed by single point calculation of mPW1PW91/6-31+G(d,p). The relative stability of the conformers of 4 is in the following order: cone (pinched) > 1,2-alternate > cone (winged) > 1,4-alternate - partial-cone > 1,2,3-alternate > 1,3,5-alternate > 1,3-alternate. The primary factor affecting the relative stabilities of the various conformers of the 1-4 are the number and strength of the intramolecular hydrogen bonds. The hydrogen-bond distances are discussed based on two different calculation methods (B3LYP and mPW1PW91).

Differences of Driving Performance and Physiological Responses Between Young Male and Female Drivers for Unexpected Situation Using a Ggraphic Vehicle Ssimulator (화상 자동차 시뮬레이터를 이용한 돌발 상황 발생 시 젊은 남녀 운전자의 운전 수행 능력과 생리 반응의 차이에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of driving performance and physiological responses between young male and female drivers for unexpected situation using a graphic vehicle simulator. The participants included 20 college graduates; 23 males aged $24.3\;{\pm}\;1.4$ with $2.3\;{\pm}\;1.5$ years of driving experiences and 23 females aged $23.2\;{\pm}\;2.1$ with $2.2\;{\pm}\;1.7$ years of driving experience. The participants were instructed to drive the vehicle simulator which was programed unexpected situation for two minutes. The physiological measurements used were autonomic responses of electrocardiogram (ECG) and skin conductance response (SCR), and the driving performance measurements used were the reaction time of break and the rate of collision for unexpected situation. Results showed that there were no significant differences between male and female drivers in the reaction time of break and the rate of collision for unexpected situation. Averaged R-R interval decreased and LF IHF and SCL amplitude increased for unexpected situation. There were no significant differences between male and female in the averaged R-R interval and LF/HF for unexpected situation. On the other hand, SCL amplitude of female was higher than male. Rising time to maximum SCL amplitude of female was longer than male.

The Study of Hyperfine Fields for Co0.9Zn0.1Cr1.9857Fe0.02O4 (Co0.9Zn0.1Cr1.9857Fe0.02O4 물질의 초미세자기장 연구)

  • [ $AB_2X_4$ ](A, B=Transition Metal, X=O, S, Se) are cubic spinel normal ferrimagnets, in which M ions occupy the tetrahedral sites and Cr ions occupy the octahedral sites. Recently, they have been investigated for behaviour of B site ions and A-B interaction. Polycrystalline $[Co_{0.9}Zn_{0.1}]_A[Cr_{1.98}{^{57}Fe_{0.02}}]_BO_4$ compound was prepared by wet-chemical process. The ferrimagnetic transition was observed around 90K. $M\"{o}ssbauer$ absorption spectra at 4.2K show that the well-developed two sextets are superposed with small difference in hyperfine fields($H_{hf}$). The hyperfine fields of $CoCr_{1.98}{^{57}Fe_{0.02}}O_4$ and $Co_{0.9}Zn_{0.1}Cr_{1.98}{^{57}Fe_{0.02}}O_4$ were determined to be 488, 478 kOe and 486, 468 kOe, respectively. We notice that the one of the magnetic hyperfine field values changes with Zn ion substitution. These results suggest the incommensurate states and spin-reorientation temperature($T_S=18K$) changes with Zn ions substitution below spin-reorientation temperature($T_S=28K$) of $CoCr_{1.98}{^{57}Fe_{0.02}}O_4$

Recycling of Cutting Oil from Silicon Waste Sludge of Solar Wafer (태양광용 웨이퍼 실리콘 폐슬러지로부터 절삭유의 재생)

  • In this study, it was to develop a chemical method that can recycle the cutting oil which accounts for about 25% of the cost of the process among containing materials of silicon waste sludge generated in the process for producing a solar cell wafer. The 7 types of reagents have been used, including acetone, HCl, NaOH, KOH, $Na_2CO_3$, HF, $CH_2Cl_2$, etc. for this experiment. And It was carried out at a speed of 3000 rpm for 60 minutes centrifugation after performing a reaction with a waste sludge at various concentrations. As a result, the best reagents and conditions for separating the solid such as a silicon powder and a metal powder and liquid cutting oil were identified as 0.3 N NaOH. It is found to be pH 6.05 in a post-processing recycled cutting oil with 0.3 N NaOH after reaction of waste sludge and 0.1 N HCl which is effective to remove metal powder in order to adjust the pH to suit the properties of the weak acid is a commercially available cutting oil and it showed excellent turbidity than when applied to sludge with 0.3 N NaOH alone. The results of FT-IR analysis which can compare the properties of the commercially available cutting oil shows it has a possibility of recycling oil. The cutting oil recovery rate obtained through the experiment was found to be 86.9%.
