인간을 비롯하여 여러 동물의 생식기와 구강. 안구 점막에 수포성, 괴양성 병변을 일으키는 Herpes simplex 2형 바이러스(HSV-2)에 대한 단클론항체를 하이브리도마 기술을 이용해 생사하였다. 생산된 단클론항체 C-2는 western blotting에서 134, 86 그리고 43 kDa의 분자량을 갖는 항원을 인식하였다. C-2의 isotype은 IgM이었다. SDS-PAGE를 이용하여 HSV-2에 감염되어 원형의 다핵 거세포를 형성한 vero 세포주를 인식하였으며, 이는 HSV-2 항원이 숙주세포에서 발현되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이 결과는 HSV-2 백신개발의 목표항원이 되는 항원검출과 HSV-2 감염 진단법 개발에 기초가 될 수 있을 것이다.

쥐의 배아의 척수신경절로 부터 슈반세포와 뉴런 세포가 각각 분리되어 배양되었다. in vitro 시스템에서 배양되었다. 정제된 뉴런 세포는 항 유사분열제로 처리하였고 정제한 슈반세포들과 함께 공동배양 하였다. 이 때 수초화 과정이 진행되었다. 이렇게 수초화된 공동 배양에 Herpes simplex virus-1을 감염시켜 탈수초화를 진행 시켰다. 우리는 수초화의 존재를 의미하는 neuropeptide Y의 항체를 이용하여 수초화와 탈수초화를 확인하였다.

유방에서 발생하는 헤르페스 감염은 매우 드물며 영상 소견 또한 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 본 증례 보고는 사춘기 여성 환자에서 발생한 헤르페스 유선염의 증례로 임상 소견 및 초음파 영상 소견을 기술하였다. B-mode 초음파에서는 일측성의 유륜 피부 두께 증가 및 액와부 림프절 종대의 소견을 보였고 도플러 초음파 상에서는 분지하는 양상의 선형 혈류 증대가 관찰되었다. 유륜 피부 생검을 통하여 헤르페스 감염으로 확진되었다. 헤르페스 유선염의 영상 소견은 국소적인 유두와 유륜 피부 비후와 혈류 증가로 유방의 Paget 병과 유사할 수 있으므로 감별이 필요하다.

Horner's syndrome may rarely accompany herpes zoster ophthalmicus (HZO). A 78-year-old woman suffered from HZO accompanied ipsilateral ptosis and miosis. Before skin eruption, she was diagnosed as a paratrigeminal syndrome of Raeder. She was treated with intravenous acyclovir and prednisone for 7 days. Ptosis and miosis was not completely improved after 5 months of follow-up.

Cholera toxin and dibutyryl cyclic adenosine 3', 5'-monophosphate(db-cAMP) increased the rate and number of infections units produced in the in vitro reactivation of latent herpes simplex virus, whereas adenosine diminished them. cAMP concentration in latently infected trigeminal ganglia of mice was greatly increased by cholera toxin but was not affected by adenosine.

Zoster-associated limb paresis is a relatively uncommon complication of herpes zoster that is characterized by focal motor weakness. Awareness of this disorder is important to avoid unnecessary invasive investigations and to ensure appropriate treatment. We report a case of a herpes zoster involving the femoral nerve.

This study was designed to evaluate the effect of YongdamSaganTang on Herpes Zoster. Three pastients were taken YongdamSaganTang with acupunture, and cupping theraphy. After the treatment the grade of VAS was decressed and clinical symptoms were gradually disappeared. Those results suggest that YongdamSaganTang was effective treatment of Herpes Zoster.

Herpes zoster is a viral disease characterized by skin rash and persistent pain. Early treatment with epidural analgesia provides very effective pain relief and reduces the incidence of postherpetic neuralgia. However, epidural analgesia in elderly, deliberated or hypovolemic patients may complicate circulatory depression such as hypotension and bradycardia. Even if temporary, a major decrease in blood pressure may decrease coronary blood flow of patients with arteriosclerosis and ischemic accident may occur. We experienced a case of unstable angina pectoris after lumbar epidural blockade in a herpes zoster patient with chronic stable angina pectoris.

Herpes zoster in childhood is uncommon, but it is more common in association with immunosuppression. Maternal varicella infection during pregnancy and varicella occurring in the newborn represent risk for childhood herpes zoster. However, some controversies persist on risk factors, diagnosis, and the natural history of childhood disease. We report a 10-year-old healthy boy with shingles and review the risk factors, prognosis, and treatment of pediatric zoster.

1. Objectives : The Purpose of this case is to report that a Tae-eumin patient diagnosed as Herpes Zoster was treated with Yeoldahanso-tang and then his symptoms improved. 2. Methods : We diagnosed the patient as Tae-eumin-Kanyeol-byung(太陰人肝熱病). So we treated him With Yeoldahanso-tang, and used Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and pictures of the affected part for the assessment. 3. Results : After we treated the patient with Yeoldahanso-tang, the vesicles were cleared and his symptoms improved. 4. Conclusions : This case study show an efficient result of using Yeoldahanso-tang in Tae-eumin diagnosed to Herpes Zoster.
