  • 컨테이너터미널 장치장 내 교차로에서 무인 YT(Yard Tractor)간 충돌방지를 위하여 RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) 태그와 ad-hoc 네트워크를 이용한 교차로 충돌방지 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 ad-hoc 네트워크 라우팅 프로토콜은 장치장 교차로에서 충돌방지를 위한 YT 간 통신성능을 결정하는 중요한 요소로써, 장치장 교차로 환경과 YT의 이동성을 고려하여 프로토콜을 결정해야 한다. 따라서 RFID 태그를 이용한 YT 위치정보와 AODV(Ad hoc On demand Distance Vector) 방식의 Hello 메시지를 이용해서 충돌방지를 위한 ad-hoc 네트워크 라우팅 프로토콜을 제안한다.

An AODV-Based Two Hops Dynamic Route Maintenance in MANET (MANET에서의 AODV 기반 2홉 동적 경로유지 기법 연구)

  • A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is an autonomous, infrastructure-less system that consists of mobile nodes. In MANET, on demand routing protocols are usually used because network topology changes frequently. AODV, which is a representative on demand routing protocol, operates using the routing table of each node that includes next hop of a route for forwarding packets. It maintains the established route if there is not an expiration of route or any link break. In the paper, we propose a partially adaptive route maintenance scheme (AODV-PA) based on AODV, which provides dynamic route modification of initial route for selecting the effective route using not only next hop but also next-hop of next-hop (i.e. 2-hop next node) acquired through route discovery process. In addition, the proposed scheme additionally manages the routing table for preventing exceptional link breaks by route modification using HELLO messages. We use NS 2 for the computer simulation and validate that the proposed scheme is better than general AODV in terms of packet delivery ratio, latency, routing overhead.

  • The most critical research issue in MANET environment is on supporting reliable communication between various devices. Various Multi-Hop Routing Protocol studies have proceeded. However, some problems you might have found when you use the existing link state routing technique are that it increases Control Message Overhead and it is unstable when node moves in CR circumstance which has transformation of using channel and MIMC circumstance which uses a number of interfaces. This essay offers a technique which is based on On-Demand Hello and the other technique which used Broadcast Interface of optimization as a solution to decrease Control Message Overhead. Also it proposes Quick Route Restoration technique which is utilized by GPS and MPR Selection technique which consider mobility as a solution of stable communication when node moves. Those offered Routing Protocol and OPNET based simulator result will be expected to be an excellent comparison in related research fields.

  • The Korea Army are developing the TICN(Tactical Information Communication Network) which is the next army tactical communication system. The TICN tactical backbone's ability is very important. So analysis of the standard protocol for the data transmission guarantee are obliged. For the TICN tactical backbone, previous paper analysed routing protocol efficiency index and compared to superiority of the OSPF and IS-IS protocols in the tactical environment and conclusively IS-IS protocol was more suitable for TICN backbone routing protocol. And We got the result that It could improve the performance of IS-IS protocol as a TICN tactical backbone protocol under the tactical environments by adjusting some time parameters of IS-IS protocol. This paper modified and designed the IS-IS protocol in order to support the QoS strategies of TICN and analyzed it's adaptability through simulation.

  • Without the aid of stationary infrastructure, maintaining routing information for all nodes is inefficient in the Mobile Ad hoc Networks(MANET). It is more efficient when every time routing information is necessary that the source node broadcasts a query message to neighbour nodes. The source node using Ad hoc On-Demand distance Vector(AODV), which is one of the routing protocols of MANET, uses the Expanding Ring Search(ERS) algorithm which finds a destination node efficiently. In order to reduce the congestion of the network, ERS algorithm does not broadcast Route REQuest(RREQ) messages in the whole network. When the timer expires, if source node does not receive Route REPly(RREP) messages from the destination node, it gradually increases TTL value and broadcasts RREQ messages. Existing AODV cost a great deal to find a destination node because it uses a fixed NODE_TRAVERSAL_TIME value. Without the message which is added in existing AODV protocols, this paper measures delay time among the neighbours' nodes by making use of HELLO messages. We propose Adaptive ERS(AERS) algorithm that makes NET_TRAVERSAL_TIME optimum which apply to the measured delay time to NODE_TRAVERSAL_TIME. AERS suppresses the unnecessary messages, making NET_TRAVERSAL_TIME optimum in this paper. So we will be able to improve a network performance. We prove the effectiveness of the proposed method through simulation.

An Efficient Route Maintenance Scheme Utilizing Hello Messages for AODV-based Ad Hoc Networks (AODV 기반 애드 혹 네트워크에서 헬로우 메시지를 이용한 효과적인 경로 유지 기법)

  • In Ad Hoc Networks, a connection breaks due to the irregular movement of mobile nodes and the inherent characteristics of the wireless medium such as the interference and the multi-path fading. AODV, a typical on-demand routing protocol in Ad Hoc networks, uses the local repair mechanism to cope with the connection breaks. This paper proposes an efficient route maintenance scheme for AODV, named as AODV-ERM, by utilizing hello messages. The proposed AODV-ERM scheme can recover some link breaks efficiently without relying on the expensive local repair process, thereby reducing the repair time. To show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, we performed extensive simulation with NS2. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can reduce the repair time effectively and thus, increase the overall packet delivery ratio.

Train Topology Discovery Protocol(TTDP) over Dual-Band WLAN-Based Train Communication Network (이중 무선랜 기반 차량 통신망에서의 열차 토폴러지 구성 프로토콜(TTDP))

  • In Train Control Network(TCN), to support advanced services beyond control applications, it was revised to support high speed ethernet as IEC 61375-2-5(ETB) and IEC 61375-3-4(ECN). And Train Topology Discovery Protocol(TTDP) was included by which train-consist can be automatically configured. Meanwhile, to adopt wireless LAN as an next onboard network, TTDP need to be modified to reflect the characteristics of WLAN. This paper proposed a TTDP for WLAN using transmission power control and the number of HELLO-ACK handshake. And it determined whether the TTDP executed using the two WLAN interfaces having different bandwidths is correct or not. The proposed TTDP can allow to reduce interference from other nodes. For evaluation of performance of TTDP, NS-2 was used. The evaluation result shows the high reliability of the TTDP in wireless environment.

A Node Movement Detection Scheme for Maintaining Routes in the MANET Environment (MANET 환경에서 지속적인 경로 유지를 위한 노드 이동 감지 기법)

  • 이동 애드혹 네트워크 (MANET)는 기지국과 같은 인프라 없이 구성된 무선 네트워크로 멀티 홉 무선통신을 수행할 수 있다. MANET에서 경로 끊김이 발생하는 이유는 일반적으로 경로를 설정하고 있는 노드들의 이동이나 hidden terminal 과 같은 무선 채널 충돌 때문이다. 무선 채널 충돌처럼 노드들의 위상과 상관없이 패킷들의 충돌 때문에 경로 끊김이 발생하는 현상은 불필요한 경로 재설정이 유발된다. 그리고 이에 따른 제어 메시지의 과도한 생성은 전체 네트워크의 오버헤드를 증가시켜 성능 감소로 이어진다. 특히 일반적으로 MANET에서 사용하는 reactive 방식의 라우팅 프로토콜을 사용하는 네트워크에서는 더 많은 성능 감소가 일어나게 된다. 본 논문에서는 MANET의 이러한 불필요한 경로 재설정을 방지하여 자원을 보다 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 노드 이동 감지 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 HELLO 메시지와 이웃 노드 테이블을 이용하여 무선 채널 충돌과 같은 현상을 예측하고 효율적으로 대처할 수 있게 한다. 성능 분석 결과, 본 논문에서 제안한 노드 이동 감지 기법이 기존 방법들에 비해 패킷 전송률과 라우팅 오버헤드 측면에서 우수한 성능 결과를 보였다.

Bypass Generation Mechanism using Mobility Prediction for Improving Delay of AODV in MANET (AODV의 전송 지연 향상을 위한 이동성 예측을 이용한 우회 경로 생성 기법)

  • In mobile ad-hoc networks (MANET), the network topology and neighboring nodes change frequently, since MANET is composed of nodes that have mobility without a fixed network infrastructure. The AODV routing protocol is advantageous for MANET, but AODV has a delay in the transmission of data packets because AODV can not transmit data during route recovery. This paper proposes solving the above problem of AODV by using a bypass generation mechanism for data transmission during route recovery. For further improvement, additional mechanisms that coordinate the reception threshold of a hello packet are proposed in order to improve the accuracy of the information obtained from the neighboring nodes when the bypass is generated due to a link failure and the immediacy of the route recovery. Simulation results show that the proposed technique improves the performance in terms of the delay in transmission compared to traditional AODV.

Call Admission Control Approach to Support Group Mobility in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks (무선 Ad Hoc망에서 그룹 이동성을 지원하기 위한 호 수락 제어 방안)

  • Because a wireless ad hoc network does not have fixed infrastructure, a call admission control approach researched in a wireless network is not feasible to this network. In this paper, we propose call admission control scheme to support this problem and the burst handoff traffic due to group mobility in a wireless ad hoc network. This scheme is an adaptive guard channel scheme which adapt the number of guard channels in each MBS(mobile base station) according to the current estimate of the potential handoff call rate derived from the number of ongoing calls within the coverage area of an MBS that initiate group handoff in a wireless ad hoc network. Our simulation studies are performed for comparisons of the proposed scheme with the other channel allocation schemes. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme efficiently reduces handoff call blocking probability in wireless ad hoc networks.
