  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the housing affordability of multi-family dwelling in Seoul and to systemize the housing expenditure patterns and housing affordability according to household and housing characteristics. Housing expenditures are basically composed of the payments of four major items. including utilities. home alteration and interior furnishing. home mortgage debt. and monthly rent. Housing affordability index as operationally defined in this study is Housing Expenditure-to-Income Ratio (HEIR). The ratios were computed for each of the four housing expenditure items. Data for 465 multi-family dwellers were gathered from the structured questionnaire. The results showed the differences between household and housing characteristics on housing expenditure levels and HEIR. In addition. this differences had influence on future housing choice behavior. The analysis on the variables of housing choice behavior showed the result that user cost considering capital gains were less important. comparing those of early 1990's.

  • The modern people spend more time with heir family on weekends, and this changed the perspective toward leisure and tourism. Along with this, the recognition toward tourism resources have underwent various modifications with the increasing number of family tourists. Caves are categorized as lava tube (formed by volcano activity), lime stone cave(formed by absorption of water into underground level), sea cave (formed by wave erosion) and artificial cave that were made for the fluent traffic activity of railways or roads. Caves manifest characteristics of tourism as a natural resources and tourism as a humanity study, so caves are valuable as a multipurpose tourism resource.

  • A simple and efficient synthesis of various $\alpha$-aminophosphonates (3a-l) by the reaction of substituted aromatic/heterocyclic aldehydes, 2-amino-6-methoxy-benzothiazole and dibutyl/diphenyl phosphites under microwave irradiation without catalyst was accomplished. The phosphonates were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, $^1H$, $^{13}C$- and $^{31}PNMR$ spectra. They showed promising antimicrobial, anti-oxidant activities depending on the nature of bioactive groups at the $\alpha$-carbon.

  • This paper designs and evaluates a complementary filter for fusion of inertial sensor signals. Specifically, the designed filter is applied to inverted pendulum control where the pendulum's angle information is obtained from low-cost tilt and gyroscope sensors instead of an optical encoder. The complementary filter under consideration is a conventional one which consists of low- and high-pass filters. However, to improve the performance of the filter on the gyroscope, we use an integrator in the filter's outer loop. Frequency responses are obtained with both tilt and gyroscope sensors. Based on the frequency response results, we determine appropriate parameter values for the filter. The performance of the designed complementary filter is evaluated by applying the filter to inverted pendulum control. Experiments show that the performance of the designed filter is comparable to that of an optical encoder and low-cost inertial sensors can be used for inverted pendulum control with the heir of sensor fusion.

  • This research was focused on the filial piety, familism of the undergraduates and consciousness for supporting their parents. The subjects of this study were 675 undergraduates living in the Gyeongnak area. The major findings are as follows: First, the undergraduate's filial piety and consciousness for supporting their parents was high but familism was low. Second, the more the undergraduate's filial piety and familism were high, the more the undergraduate's consciousness for supporting their parents was high. also filial piety was shown to be the most important factor for the undergraduate to support their parents. third, the attitude of undergraduate's towards supporting their parents has been changed and Undergraduates felt t6ha there is a lack of communication with heir parents.

  • We proposes integrated information system, Service Robot Information System(SRIS), for mobile robot. The system has objectives that can heir efficient management and sharing as support information for mobile service robot like recognition, navigation, manipulation and modeling. This paper introduces the concert and architecture of SRIS. An Implementation is done by using ER based database and CAD modeling which is DXF format. The experimental shows the result of object and environment map matching by SLAM. This system is expected that can help reduce the cost and efforts of information management under multiple mobile robot environment.

  • This paper argues that (1) word-for-word literary translation is not possible; all it does is achieve what Chukovsky characterized as 'imprecise precision' (1984:47), (2) contra to Nida (1969) and others, translation does not just mean translating meaning, and (3) therefore, a translator must negotiate an uneasy but inevitable compromise between accuracy and elegance. To make the translated passage just as pleasing, moving, and cathartic as the original passage as much as possible, a great deal of literary skill is required on the part of the translator. The iniquity of translators is not so much infidelity as infertility to produce an offspring worthy of an heir to the original writer. Translators are not traitors; they are traders, or literary merchants, who trade one form of linguistic unit for another, often meaning for form, or sense for sound, but sometimes form for meaning. A translator then is not a man of treason but is a tradesman.

  • The planning of part feeder and other manufacturing automation equipments is almost always underestimated. Planning ahead for those crucial pitfalls can permit steps to take to minimize heir impacts, especially if the problems can be discovered in the planning phase, not on the shop floor. Planning process is an engineering process, namely a series of trade-offs. The effective trade-offs in the shortest amount of time can be possible with the help of a computer-aided ngineering (CAE) technique. The main parts of CAE fur part feeder are database system of fabricated workpiece parts, part feeders, part feeder components. In this study, a planning process of part feeder is presented. Especially, a systematic analysis of workpiece parts and part feeders is performed for the design of databases of CAE system.

  • This study explored the conception of children as portrayed in a personal diary written the middle period of the Chosun Dynasty. The Yangalok is a daily record in which Moonkun Lee wrote how he brought up his grandson. The Yangalok is an important historical document, showing how people brought up their children and indicating their conception of childhood. Research questions included the definition of the period of childhood and a description of parent-child relationships. It was found that childhood was completed by age sixteen, the importance of the child as family member hinged on his position as an heir, and the parent-child relationship was defined by Chin(親), including qualities of both love and discipline.

  • The two-microphone sound-intensity technique has been used for the detection of defects in ra-ally loaded ball bearings. The difference in the sound-intensity levels measured for bearings with no defect and for those with intentionally introduced defects of different sizes n heir elements under various operating conditions of loads and speeds is demonstrated. The results show that of an inner-race or ball defect. It is difficult to detect defects at lower speeds. Sound-pressure measurements were also performed for comparison and it shown that the detectability of defects by sound-intensity measurements is better than that by sound-pressure measurements.
