팬츠 스타일과 허리선 위치 변화에 따른 시각적 이미지의 평가와 상호효과 (The Mutual Effect and Evaluation of Visual Image according to Change in Waist Position and Pants Style)

  • This study evaluates the difference in visual images according to changes in waist position and pants style. The researcher made twelve stimuli-combination of four pants styles (classic, baggy, skinny, bell-bottom) and three waist positions (0cm, -3cm, -5cm). The test involved 48 female college students. The stimuli were made using the i-Designer computer program. The panels tested the screen images of all manikins wearing pants. A 7-point scale was used to evaluate each image. For the data analysis, the ANOVA and Duncan-test were applied along with an SPSS program. The results of this study are as follows. The visual evaluations by pants style and waist position are composed of seven factors (attractiveness, attention, hip, activity, height, waist, abdomen). Among these factors, attractiveness is evaluated to be the most important factor. The mutual agreement of the visual effect (according to pants style and waist position) was indicated as four factors of attractiveness, attention, waist, and abdomen. The height factor is evaluated to be the most important factor by change in regards to waist position. The 0cm waist position of three styles (classic, baggy, bell-bottom) were evaluated positively in elongated height whereas the -3cm, -5cm waist position of the skinny style was evaluated positively in elongated height. The mutual agreements of visual effect (according to pants style and waist position) were not indicated.

소아의 수면이 성장에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Sleep on the Growth of Children)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to estimate differences in physical growth according to sleep during preschool period. Methods: Difference of height and BMI percentile according to quality and quantity of sleep obtained through survey from 377 preschool children was measured using statistical method. Results: There was no significant difference in height and BMI percentile according to bedtime, rising hour, sleeping hours and sleeping environment. Children who had woken up more from scare during sleep showed smaller height percentile. Conclusions: Children who woke up more from scare during sleep could have smaller height.

  • To investigate the effect of illumination conditions on visual inspection performance for TV panel glasses, three dependent variables, inspection time, error, and preference , were measured and analyzed through two consecutive experiments. The first experiment for reflection inspection was conducted using two independent variables, position and brightness. The second experiment for transparent inspection was made using two independent variables, height and brightness. The summary of the results of the experiment for reflection inspection are as follows ; The inspection performance of the position right above the subject (Position 1) was the best among the conditions in terms of errors, while the performance of the position slightly in front of and above the subject(Position 2) was the best in terms of inspection times. Inspection time was statistically different according to the brightness conditions specifically at the position in front of the subject(Position 3). The results of the second experimen for transparent inspection are that the inspection performance at medium height (Height 2) was the best among the three conditions in terms of errors while the performance at lower height(Height 3) was the best in subject preference. Based upon both results with respect to actual field conditions, two alternative inspection station designs were proposed for each lighting conditon.

  • When the fuel jet velocity is smaller than coflow velocity, the trend of decreasing liftoff height of highly diluted propane lifted flame with coflow velocity is observed experimentally. To investigate the mechanism of decreasing liftoff height with coflow velocity, lifted flames in propane jet has been studied numerically. Using one-step overall reaction mechanism the liftoff heights have been calculated for four cases of coflow velocity. The simulation agrees qualitatively with experimental observation that the liftoff height decreases with coflow velocity. As coflow velocity increases, the streamlines between nozzle and lifted flame diverge in radial direction due to the difference of momentum between coflow jet and fuel jet such that the local flow velocity ahead of lifted flame base decreases resulting in decrease of the liftoff height with coflow velocity.

전자레인지 내부에서 가열높이 변화가 품질 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Heating Height within Microwave Oven on Microwave Heating of Food)

  • For the purpose of improving the qualities of popcorn, potato, frozen hotdog and steamed egg, the effects of food height(0mm: HO, 5mm: H5, 10mm, 15mm: H15) for microwave cooking on physicochemical properties were investigated. In popcorn, weight loss was decreased as height increased while volume of popcorn was increased, which indicated that popcorn was poped very well as height increased. H10 showed the highest taste score in sensory evaluation. In potato, degree of gelatinization was increased as hight increased. H10 showed the highest overall acceptance score. In frozen hotdog, hardness of hotdog was decreased as hight increased and H15 showed the lowest hardness score (408.8g). In steamed egg, H5 showed the highest temperature and H10 showed the highest overall acceptance score. Physicochemical properties of food were changed by heating height of microwave heating.

보양성장탕(補陽成長湯) 투여가 사춘기 전 소아의 신장성장에 미치는 효과에 대한 임상적 연구 (Clinical Study of Effect to the Height-Growth after the Administration of Boyangsungjangtang to the Prepuberty Children)

  • Heights of children ranged from 91.10 to 144.70 and the mean height rate after the administration of Boyangsungjangtang was significantly greater than that, 0.036, of prepuberty children who are in 50 percentile(One sampled T test, p<0.001). A highly significant difference was observed among three groups, divided according to the duration of taking Boyangsungjangtang(ANOVA, p=0.015). Further analysis(Tukey's Multiple Range test) indicated that the mean height rate of the group taking Boyangsungjangtang for under 3 months was significantly higher than that of both group for 3 to 6 months and group for over 6 months. The mean height rate of the latter two groups were not significantly different.

극초고압 디젤분무의 충격파가 디젤분무특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Shockwave on Diesel Spray Characteristics in Ultra High Pressure Injection)

  • To investigate the effect of shockwave on diesel spray characteristics under ultra high pressure injection, the velocity of spray tip and shock wave were investigated using the visualization of spray by schlieren method. Spray characteristics such as the spray radius, height, and droplets size were analyzed. It is found in this study that shock wave, produced by ultra high injection pressure, propagates faster than spray tip. Spray radius of right side of nozzle tip was shorter than that of left side and spray height of right side of nozzle tip was thicker than that of left side. Droplets sue was increased at 414MPa in injection pressure because of pressure gradient between inner and outer of tile spray caused by shockwave.

  • This paper presents roughness effects on flow characteristics and efficiency of multi-stage axial compressor using numerical simulation. which is carried out with a commercially available software, CFX-TASCflow. In this paper, the third of four stages of GE low pressure compressor is considered including me stator and rue rotor. Mixing-plane approach is adopted to model the interface between the stator and the rotor: it is appropriate for steady state simulation. First, a flat plate simulation was performed to validate how exact the numerical simulation predicts the roughness effect for smooth and rough walls. Then GE compressor model was calculated about at each roughness height. Concluding, very small roughness height largely affects the performance of compressor and the increasing rate of loss decrease as roughness height increase.

Calculation of Mixed Lubrication at Piston Ring and Cylinder Liner Interface

  • This paper reports on the theoretical analysis of mixed lubrication for the piston ring. The analytical model is presented by using the average flow and asperity contact model. The cyclic variations of the nominal minimum oil film thickness are obtained by numerical iterative method. The total friction is calculated by using the hydrodynamic and asperity contact theory. The effect of the roughness height, pattern, and engine speed on the nominal minimum film thickness, friction force, ad frictional power losses are investigated. As the roughness height increases, the nominal oil film thickness and total friction force increase. Also, the effect of the surface roughness on the boundary friction is dominant at low engine speed and high asperity height. The longitudinal roughness pattern shows lower mean oil film pressure and thinner oil film thickness compared to the case of the isotropic and transverse roughness patterns.

전달 매트릭스 방법을 이용한 DFB레이저의 단일주파수 동작 수율에 대한 연구 (A study on the single frequency operation yield of DFB lasers using a transfer matrix method)

  • We have studied sngle-frequency yield of 1.55${\mu}$m DFB lasers with uniform sinusoidal grating using an effective index transfer matrix method considering both threshold gain difference and spatial hole-burning effect. Optimum grating height and mirror reflectivities that maximize the single-frequency yield are found for a low-reflection (LR)/high-reflection(HR) mirror structure and a LR/as-cleaved miror structure for an assumed basic waveguide structure. LR/HR structure has a high yield of about 80% in a narrow range of grating height while LR/as-cleaved mirror structure has a low yield of about 50% in a relatively wide range of grating height. The effect of the low-reflection facet reflectivity is also studied.
