수평관내 이산화탄소의 증발 열전달 특성 (Evaporative Heat Transfer Characteristics of Carbon Dioxide in a Horizontal Tube)

  • The evaporative heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$ (R-744) in a horizontal tube was investigated experimentally. The experiments were conducted without oil in a closed refrigerant loop which was driven by a magnetic gear pump. The main components of the refrigerant loop are a receiver, a variable-speed pump, a mass flow meter, a pre-heater and evaporator (test section). The test section consists of a smooth, horizontal stainless steel tube of inner diameter of 7.75 mm. The experiments were conducted at mass flux of 200 to 500 kg/m$^2$s, saturation temperature of -5 to 5$^{\circ}C$, and heat flux of 10 to 40kW/m$^2$. The test results showed the heat transfer of $CO_2$ has a greater effect on nucleate boiling more than convective boiling. Mass flux of $CO_2$ does not affect nucleate boiling too much, and the effect of mass flux on evaporative heat transfer of $CO_2$ is much smaller than that of refrigerant R-22 and R-134a. In comparison with test results and existing correlations, correlations failed to predict the evaporative heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$, therefore, it is necessary to develope reliable and accurate predictions determining the evaporative heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$ in a horizontal tube.

  • 소프트 아이스크림은 환형 증발부의 외측에서 증발하는 R-404A에 의해 형성된 얼음을 스크레이퍼로 깍아내어 제조된다. 본 연구에서는 소프트 아이스크림 증발기의 냉매 측 및 아이스크림 측 열전달계수를 도출하였다. 실험 결과 환형부 내 냉매 유동은 격막에 의해 매우 복잡한 양상을 보이고 열전달계수도 위치에 따라 현저히 달랐다. 즉, 유입위치의 열전달 계수가 다른 부분에 비하여 낮게 나타났다. 냉매측 평균 열전달계수는 열유속의 증가에 따라 또한 포화온도의 감소에 따라 증가하였다. 열유속과 포화온도를 변수로 하여 평균 열전달계수를 예측하는 상관식을 도출하였다. 아이스크림 측 열전달계수는 연속적으로 진동하였다. 이는 스크레이퍼에 의해 관벽의 얼음이 주기적으로 탈착되기 때문으로 판단된다. 아이스크림 원액의 단상 열전달계수는 냉각 기간 중 150 W/$m^2K$에서 250 W/$m^2K$로 증가하였다. 아이스크림 제조 시 열전달계수는 대략 280 W/$m^2K$로 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study is a heat transfer coefficient test of evaporator tube in shell and tube heat exchanger by shapes, using R-404A. The experimental apparatus is designed to simulate the real heat transfer rate in one shell and tube heat exchanger. The test section is formed four type tubes that are Inner ridged tube, Corrugated tube, Turbo-C tube, Inner fin tube and shell type is formed by electrical heater. All tests were performed at a fixed refrigerant evaporator temperature at $1.5^{\circ}C,\;-3^{\circ}C$ and with mass fluxes of 29, 25 kg/hr. Heat transfer rate is calculated a enthalpy difference in test section. In experiment, heat transfer coefficient measured one by one and electrical heaters are supplemented by evaporator.

  • Experimental study on the heat transfer characteristics of $CO_2$ in a horizontal smooth tube was carried out to investigate the heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop during evaporation of $CO_2$. The experiment apparatus consisted of a test section, a DC power supply, a heater, a chiller, a mass flow meter, a pump and a measurement system. Experiment was conducted for various mass fluxes ($200{\sim}1200kg/m^2s$), heat flukes ($10{\sim}100kW/m^2$) and saturation temperatures (-5, 0, $5^{\circ}C$). With increasing the heat flux, the evaporation heat transfer coefficient increased. But the variation of the heat transfer coefficient on the increase of the mass flux was not large. And the significantly drops of the heat transfer coefficient was observed at any heat flux and mass flux because of the change of the flow pattern in the tube. With increasing the saturation temperature, the heat transfer coefficient increased due to the promotion of a nucleate boiling. The measured pressure drop during evaporation increased with increasing the mass flux and decreasing the saturation temperature.

평활관에서 이산화탄소의 증발열전달 특성에 관한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on Characteristics of Evaporation Heat Transfer of CO2 in a Smooth Tube)

  • 본 연구에서는 이산화탄소의 증발열전달 특성을 이해하기 위해 질량유속, 열유속 기리고 포화온도를 변화시키면서 이산화탄소의 증발 열전달계수와 압력강하를 측정하였다. 질량유속과 열유속은 기존의 실험범위보다 크게 확장하여 내경 7.75 mm, 길이 5.0 m의 수평관에서 실험하였다. 실험장치는 시험부, 전원공급기, 히터, 칠러, 기어펌프, 유량계, 계측시스템 등으로 구성되었다. 건도가 증가할수록 증발 열전달계수는 감소하였으며, 이산화탄소의 증발 열전달계수는 질량유속보다 열유속에 더 민감함을 확인하였다. 또한 주어진 열유속과 포화온도에 따라 증발 열전달계수의 급격한 감소가 다르게 관찰되었다. 압력강하는 질량유속 증가에 대해 선형적인 증가를 보였지만 열유속 증가에 대한 압력강하의 증가효과가 크지 않았다.

The evaporation heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$ is very larger than that of R-22 and R-134a. In making a comparison between test results and existing correlations. the present experimental data are the best fit for the correlation of Jung et al. But it was failed to predict the evaporation heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$ using by the existing correlation. Therefore. it is necessary to develop reliable and accurate predictions determining the evaporation heat transfer coefficient of $CO_2$ in a horizontal tube.

수평 다채널에서의 열전달 계수에 관한 새로운 상관식 (A New Correlation on Heat Transfer Coefficient in Horizontal Multi Channels)

  • This paper presents a experimental study of two-phase flow boiling of FC-72 in multi channels. Flow boiling heat transfer coefficients are obtained with mass flux ranging from 152.9 to $353.9kg/m^2s$ and heat flux from 5.6 to $46.1kW/m^2$. The experimental results show that the heat transfer is governed by nucleate boiling mechanism in the low heat flux region. However, it is found that the effects of nucleate boiling and forced convection boiling are combined as the heat flux increases. A new correlation to predict the heat transfer coefficient is developed by using the dimensionless number such as Reynolds number, Weber number, boiling number. This correlation shows good predictive accuracy against the measured data.

브레이징 휜-관 열교환기의 공기측 열유동 성능평가 (Evaluation of Air-side Pressure Drop and Heat Transfer Performance of Brazing Fin-tube Heat Exchanger)

  • The present work was conducted to investigate the air-side thermal-hydraulic performance of the brazing fin-tube heat exchanger. Pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient for a plain and a louvered fin configuration were compared numerically and experimentally. It was found that the heat transfer characteristics for the plain fin were similar to the developing flow in the rectangular channel. The louver fin showed about twice better heat transfer coefficient than the plain fin. Previous empirical correlations presented by Davenport, Sunden and Svantesson, Sahnoun and Webb, Chang and Wang, Achaichia and Cowell, and Kang were compared with the present experimental data.

수평 평활관내에서 비공비혼합냉매의 강제대류 증발열전달 (Forced Convective Evaporating Heat Transfer of Non-azeotropic Refrigerant Mixtures in a Horizontal Smoothed Tube)

  • Experiments were performed to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of nonazeotropic mixture R-22+R-114 in a heat pump system. The ranges of parameter, such as heat flux, mass flow rate, and quality were $8,141{\sim}32,564W/m^2$, 24~58kg/h, and 0~1, respectively. The overall compositions of the mixtures were 50 and 100 per-cent of R-22 by weight for R-22+R-114 mixture. The results indicated that there were distinct different heat transfer phenomena between the pure substance and the mixture. In case of pure refrigerant the heat transfer rates for cooling were strongly dependent upon quality of the refrigerant. Overall evaporating heat transfer coefficients for the mixture were somewhat lower than pure R-22 values in the forced convective boiling region. For a given flow rate, the heat transfer coefficient at the circumferential tube wall(top, side, and bottom of the test tube) for R-22/R-114(50/50wt%)mixture, however, was higher than for pure R-22 at side and bottom of the tube. Furthermore, a prediction for the evaporating heat transfer coefficient of the mixtures was developed based on the method of Yoshida et.al.'s. The resulting correlation yielded a good agreement with the data for the refrigerant mixtures.

소형 슬러시 제조기의 전열현상에 관한 연구 (Heat Transfer Characteristics of Small Slush Maker)

  • Tests were conducted to obtain heat transfer coefficients during slush formation from 10% sucrose solution. The slush was made by scraping the ice formed on the cylinder. Cold brine was supplied inside of the cylinder to cool the outer surface. Below a certain brine temperature, which was $5^{\circ}C$ in this study, the solution was supercooled, and suddenly turned into ice. The super-cooling increases as the brine temperature increased. During slush formation, the heat transfer coefficient oscillated significantly, due to periodic removal of ice chunk form the surface. The average heat transfer coefficient during slush formation was approximately twice of that obtained during single phase cooling. The heat transfer coefficient was also affected by the brine temperature with increasing heat transfer coefficient at lower brine temperature.
