해석적 방법에 의한 TMC 건축용 내화강재 적용 보부재의 고온 내력평가 연구 (A Study for Structural Stabilities of Beams Built with TMC Fire Resistant Steels by Analytical Method at High Temperatures)

  • 화재 발생 시 강구조 건축물은 재료의 급격한 강도저하에 따른 처짐과 내력저하로 구조물의 붕괴가 발생될 수 있다. 따라서 구조용 강재의 고온 시 강도저하의 최소화 및 강판 두께 차이에 따른 설계기준강도 차이의 해결과 용접성을 향상하기 위한 필요성이 제기되었으며, 이 결과 TMC 건축용 내화강재가 개발되었다. 본 연구에서는 TMC 건축용 내화강재의 고온 시 구조내력을 평가하기 위하여 일정 길이의 보부재를 대상으로 단순지지 및 고정단 보 조건으로 처짐과 최대내력 변화를 해석적으로 도출하였으며, 건축용 내화강재와 그 성능을 비교분석하였다. 그 결과, TMC 건축용 내화강재를 적용한 보부재가 내화강재 적용 보부재보다 고온 시 구조적 성능이 다소 열위임을 확인하였다.

요소제거기법을 적용한 지하구조물의 화재손상 예측모델 개발 (A new element elimination model to predict fire-induced damage on an underground structure)

  • 화재 발생 시 지하구조물의 열-역학상호거동이 정확히 고려되지 못하고 있으며, 이로 인해 일반적인 열전달 이론에 근거한 수치해석 시 화재로 인한 구조물의 손상정도가 과소 평가될 수 있는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 화재 발생 시 지하구조물의 열-역학 상호거동을 모사하기 위한 유한요소 기반의 수치모델을 새롭게 개발하였다. 특히, 화재로 인한 구조물의 단면 손실을 모사하기 위한 요소제거모델을 제안하였고 대류 경계조건을 적용하였다. 이때 요소 내의 최대 온도가 해석 시에 설정한 임계온도 이상이 되면 요소가 제거되도록 설정하였다. 모형 화재시험 결과와 해석 결과를 비교한 변수해석을 통하여, RABT와 RWS 화재 시나리오 조건에 대한 최적의 임계온도, 요소크기, 온도에 따른 대류열전달계수 조건 등을 제시하였다.

  • XLPE cable, which has excellent electrical and thermal performance, has been widely used for HV transmission & distribution lines. The most important thing to produce the cable products having good performance is to set the optimal operating conditions of cable machinery. Because it is very difficult to measure the temperature of cable under curing process practically, it is necessary to evaluate the cable temperature by using the method to simulate real conditions numerically. In this work, We investigate the basic theory on transient heat transfer between curing tube and cable for making a numerical simulation program using computer. In this program, a differential equation is approximated by a infinite differential method and a few assumptions are used to simplify the model and minimize the calculation time of program.

  • The thermal comfort of indoor spaces is very important factor in our life. Regions, cultures, climates and individual difference for establishing thermally comfortable environments should be considered carefully because these factors have a large influence on the thermal comfort doing some complicated interactions with environmental, psychological and physical elements. Recently, predicted mean vote(PMV) based on the heat transfer theory between environmental factors and human bodies has evaluated by many researchers and widely used nowadays. The objective of this study is to evaluate the thermal comfort in workspaces with personal air conditioning system using the measurements of environmental comfort parameters and the questionnaire survey of occupant's thermal senses with response to the environment.

시설원예용 난방온실의 온열환경 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Thermal Environment Analysis of a Greenhouse)

  • To study the effects of solar energy in a greenhouse, outdoor air temperature and wind speed on inside air temperature, a simulation model for forecasting the greenhouse air temperature was conducted on the basis of the energy and mass balance theory. Application of solar energy to the greenhouse is major area in the renewable energy research and development in order to save energy. Recently, considering the safety and efficiency of the heating of greenhouse, clean energy such as geothermal and solar energy has received much attention. The analysed greenhouse has $50m^2$ of ground area which located in jocheon-ri of Jeju Province. Experiments were carried out to collect data to validate the model. The results showed that the simulated air temperature inside a plastic greenhouse agreed well with the measured data.

  • Desuperheater is a passive device to control the temperature of steam in various plants. However, in spite of its simple structure, the accurate prediction of a desuperheater is very difficult because there are many designed factors for the design of a desuperheater. In this study, the theory of heat transfer phenomena in a desuperheater was developed and the various design factors are evaluated. As a results, we confirmed that the droplet size of 30 - 200 is best effective for the performance of a desuperheater.

  • A method for numerical simulation of the carbonization process in manufacturing of a carbon-carbon composite is developed. A general theory, which consists of analyses of heat and mass transfer together with stress and displacement predictions, is constructed. A homogeneous, single phase, isotropic material is selected and a computer program is developed for an arbitrary 2-dimensional geometry using FEM. Material properties are obtained through experiments and references, and are modeled effectively to serve the simulation purpose. The validity of the simulation is verified through several comparisons with experimental data, where close agreements are observed. Finally, examples of actual applications are considered to exhibit the capability and utilization of the code in process optimization.

  • Fatigue life of a Piston for large liquid Petroleum liquid injection(LPLi) bus engines is analyzed considering effects of cooling condition parameters : temperature of cooling water, and heat transfer coefficients at oil gallery and bottom surface of piston head. Temperature of the piston is analyzed with varying cooling conditions Stresses of the piston from two load cases of pressure loading. and pressure and thermal loading are analyzed Fatigue life under repeated peak pressure and thermal cycle is analyzed by the strain-life theory. For the two load cases, required loading cycles for engine life are defined, and loading cycles to failure and partial damages are calculated. Based on the resulting accumulated fatigue usage factors, endurance of the piston is evaluated and effects of varying cooling condition Parameters are discussed.

증기발생기 파울링과 전기출력의 상관성 고찰 (A Study on the Relationship between Steam Generator Fouling and the Electric Power)

  • The heat transfer function or thermal performance is the most important function of the steam generator component in nuclear power plants. The declining of thermal performance, fouling does not affect the electric power of the nuclear power plant within a certain fouling level, but it affects the output when goes beyond the governor valve wide open of the turbine. The VWO steam pressure can be predicted through the thermal performance evaluation of steam generators in the nuclear power plant. In consideration of the fouling characteristics of the steam generator, methods of the thermal performance evaluation and fouling cases are reviewed, and also the critical VWO value is estimated through the actual thermal performance evaluation. It is necessary to apply the VWO theory based on the thermal performance of the steam generators.

유한요소법에서의 rp형에 관한 연구 (A rp method in finite element analysis)

  • During recent years, a great deal of interest has emerged on the use of adaptive approaches and a posteriori estimates in finite element method. The results are intended to be used to improve the quality of finite element solution by changing the location of the nodes within a fixed number of degrees of freedom-so called r method-, and by increasing the order of polynomial approximation with the new degrees of freedom-p method. This paper deals with error analysis that contains the basic theory and method of deriving error estimates and adaptive processes applied to finite element solutions underlying the rpm method that is the combination of r and p method of finite element. It is shown that we can obtain more accurate solution by applying the method to the 2-dimensional heat transfer problem.
