$CH_4$/Air 예혼합화염의 고효율 연소조건에서 열손실에 따른 NOx 및 CO 배출특성 (Emission Characteristics of NOx and CO with Heat Loss Under High Efficiency Combustion Conditions of $CH_4$/Air Air Premixed Flame)

  • Emission characteristics of NOx and CO with heat loss under high efficiency combustion conditions of $CH_4$/Air prmixed flame were examined numerically using detailed-kinetic chemistry. The one-dimensional combustor length was fixed 5cm, and the equivalence ratio was varied from 0.75 to 0.95. To consider the effects of heat loss on NOx and CO formation, the radiative heat loss rate and combined heat loss rate of conductive and convective heat transfer are included. The following conclusions were drawn. In order to reduce the NOx and CO emission level simultaneously, the temperature of product gases must be reduced under 1,800K as soon as possible but kept over 1,300K during the residence time which is needed to converge CO to $CO_2$.

  • On this study, the fatigue crack propagation of super duplex stainless steel is investigated in conditions of various volume fraction of austenite phase by changing heat treatment temperature. And we analysed acoustic emission signals during the fatigue test by time-frequency analysis methods. As the temperature of heat treatment increased, volume fraction of austenite decreased and coarse grain was obtained. The specimen heat treated at $1200^{\circ}C$ had longer fatigue life and slower rate of crack growth. As a result of time-frequency analyze of acoustic emission signals during fatigue test, main frequency was $200{\sim}300kHz$ having no correlation with heat treatment and crack length, and 500kHz was obtained by dimple and separate of inclusion

  • Experimental studies have been carried out to find out the characteristics of the heat transfer, combustion emission and noise in the boilers without any extra firing zone for complete combustion of fuel. For the experiments a burner of premixed type and some heat exchangers were designed and manufactured. Also test facilities including a data acquisition system and various measuring devices were set up in order to measure automatically the various temperatures and flow rates of water and combustion gas. Various experiments were performed to find out the heat transfer characteristics as well as combustion emission and noise. In general, the burner which has uniform holes in the burner nozzle plate generates big combustion noise . whistling. The noise reduction method is discussed in this study. Many experimental data such as noise level, the amount of pollutant emission and heat transfer rate for different combination of heat exchangers are given as comparison bases for numerical studies.

  • The purpose of this work is to investigate the effect of premixing condition on the combustion and exhaust emission characteristics in a HCCI diesel engine. To form homogeneous charge before intake manifold, the premixed fuel is injected into premixed tank by GDI injection system and the premixed fuel is ignited by direct injected diesel fuel. But in the case of high intake air temperature, premixed fuel is auto-ignited before diesel combustion and soot emission is increased. In the case of light load condition, the BSFC is improved by intake air heating because increased air temperature promoted the combustion of premixed mixture. NOx and smoke concentration of exhaust emissions are reduced compared to conventional diesel engine. The combustion characteristics of the HCCI diesel engine such as combustion pressure, rate of heat release, and exhaust emission characteristics are discussed.

노즐 형상 변경이 소형 CRDI 엔진의 성능에 미치는 영향에 대한 수치 해석적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Effect of Nozzle Geometry on the Small CRDI Engine Performance)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of multi-hole nozzle on the performance of small CRDI engine. Combustion and exhaust emission characteristics of engine were studied by using CFD simulation with ECFM-3Z combustion model. The conditions of simulation were varied with nozzle geometry, injection timing and injection quantity. In addition, the results were compared in terms of combustion pressure, rate of heat release, $NO_x$ and soot emissions. It was found that combustion pressure was increased when injection timing was advanced. The rate of heat release of 6 hole nozzle was higher than that of 12 hole nozzle since the quantity of fuel impinged at the bottom of piston rim was different under different injection timing conditions. In the case of $NO_x$ emission, 6 hole nozzle generated more $NO_x$ emission than 12 hole nozzle. On the other hand, in the case of soot emission, 12 hole nozzle showed higher value than 6 hole nozzle because injected fuel droplets from multi-hole nozzle were coalesced.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the energy consumption, carbon dioxide emission & energy cost of district heating using sewage source. The annual TOE of heat pump using sewage source save 37.1 percent than city gas boiler. And annual carbon dioxide emission of heat pump cut down 41.3 percent than city gas boiler. If it charges the rate schedule for district heating to apartment resident, collected amount are 3,127,170 thousand won. As energy cost of heat pump & circulation pump are 1,378,072 thousand won. the profits are 1,749,098 thousand won. As payback period is 8.97years, applicability is low level. However, it has advantages in energy consumption, carbon dioxide emission & energy cost. Therefore, it needs to proceed through government assistance.

  • This research makes that quantitative radiation property of an actual town ward is obtained in quest of the parameter with regard to a radiation heat transfer property and set up several town ward models that reproduced a solid form of a city along the attribute of the city. A regular trend possibility that is able to evaluate a radiation characteristics of a town ward quantitatively from a town ward guideline and confirmation that is produced about each parameter as a result of a numerical value simulation it obtained. This research shot a coefficient of Gebhart's emission absorption. sky radiation absorption rate direct solar radiation absorption rate the parameter with regard to a radiation heat transfer characteristics of a town ward in each town ward model and a volume rate of a town ward advances case study under regular such condition and shot the absorption rate, direct and others days and calculated an absorption rate and checked about the relation between a town ward and each radiation heat transfer property of a city.

고감성 의류용 축열 니트소재의 물성 (Physical Property of Heat Storage Knitted Fabrics for High Emotional Garment)

  • This paper investigated wear comfort property of heat storage knitted fabrics for high emotional garment. For this purpose, ZrC imbedded PET knitted fabric was prepared and various physical properties such as thermal, wicking and drying characteristics were measured. In addition, far-infrared emission characteristics of ZrC imbedded PET was analysed and tactile hand property and dye affinity of ZrC imbedded knitted fabric were also studied in comparison with regular and other commercial heat storage PET knitted fabrics. It was observed that Zr imbedded amount in the yarn was 19.29% by ingredient analysis and far-infrared emission energy was $3.65{\times}10^2W/m^2$, emissivity was 0.906 at the range of wavelength $6{\sim}20{\mu}m$. It was found that maximum heat flow (Qmax) of ZrC imbedded PET knitted fabric was lower than that of regular PET one and warmth keepability rate was higher than that of regular PET one, which means ZrC imbedded PET have heat storage property. Drying property of ZrC imbedded knitted fabric was better than that of regular PET one due to heat by far-infrared emitted from ZrC in the core of filament. It revealed that wicking property of the ZrC imbedded fabric was not influenced by far-infrared emission, but affected by fibre physical properties. Tactile hand property of ZrC imbedded knitted fabric was not influenced by imbedding ZrC in the filament but affected preferably by structure of knitted fabric. Dye affinity of ZrC imbedded PET knitted fabric was less influenced by dyeing temperature and time than regular PET knitted one.

바이오디젤 혼합 연료에 커먼레일 디젤기관에서 예비 분사시기가 연소 및 배기 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of pilot injection timing on the Combustion and Emission Characteristics in a Common Rail Diesel Engine with Bio-diesel blended fuel)

  • 본 연구는 4실린더 커먼레일 디젤 기관에서 바이오 디젤 혼합 연료를 사용하여 예비 분사시기와 EGR율을 변화시켰을 때 연소 압력과 배기 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 실험을 수행하였다. 예비 분사 시기와 EGR율은 디젤 기관의 연소 및 배기 배출 특성에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 일반적으로 많이 사용되고 있는 기관 회전 속도 2,000rpm에서 바이오 디젤 혼합율 20%의 연료를 사용하여 예비 분사 시기와 EGR율에 다양하게 변화를 주어 실험을 하였다. 실험결과, 도시 평균 유효 압력은 예비 분사 시기가 상사점전 BTDC $10^{\circ}$에서 가장 높았으며, 연소 압력과 열 발생율은 동일 예비 분사 시기에서 EGR율에 비례하여 감소하였다. NOx배 출량은 예비 분사시기에 관계없이 EGR율이 증가할수록 큰 폭으로 감소하였으며, 매연(Soot)은 예비 분사 시기 BTDC $20^{\circ}$에서 가장 적게 배출되었다.

  • A model for the prediction of combustion and exhaust emissions of DI diesel engine has been formulated and developed . This model is a quasi-dimensional phenomenological one and is based on multi-zone combustion modelling concept. It takes into consideration, on a zonal basis ,detailed of fuel spray formation, droplet evaporation, air-fuel mixing, spray wall interaction, swirl , heat transfer, self ignition and burning rate . The emission model is considered with chemical equipment , as well as the kinetics of fuel. NO and soot reactions in order to calculate the pollutant concentrations within each zone and the whole of cylinder . The accuracy of prediction versus experimental data and the capability of the model in predicting engine heat release, cylinder pressure and all the major exhaust emissions on zonal and cumulative basis., is demonstrated. Detailed prediction results showing the sensitivity of the model bv various injection rates are presented and discussed.
