Classification of Premature Ventricular Contraction using Error Back-Propagation

  • Arrhythmia has recently emerged as one of the major causes of death in Koreans. Premature Ventricular Contraction (PVC) is the most common arrhythmia that can be found in clinical practice, and it may be a precursor to dangerous arrhythmias, such as paroxysmal insomnia, ventricular fibrillation, and coronary artery disease. Therefore, we need for a method that can detect an abnormal heart beat and diagnose arrhythmia early. We extracted the features corresponding to the QRS pattern from the subject's ECG signal and classify the premature ventricular contraction waveform using the features. We modified the weighting and bias values based on the error back-propagation algorithm through learning data. We classify the normal signal and the premature ventricular contraction signal through the modified weights and deflection values. MIT-BIH arrhythmia data sets were used for performance tests. We used RR interval, QS interval, QR amplitude and RS amplitude features. And the hidden layer with two nodes is composed of two layers to form a total three layers (input layer 0, output layer 3).

  • 인터넷을 이용한 서비스와 산업 그 중에서 게임 산업의 급속한 발전으로 인하여 게임 서비스를 더욱 효율적이고 확장성이 뛰어난 시스템으로의 구축이 중요시되고 있다. 이에 고가용성 시스템이 주목을 받고 있고 본 논문에서는 heartbeat 알고리즘을 이용한 고가용성 온라인 게임 서버를 제안한다. 분산화된 게임 서버에 대하여 각 대응되는 standby server를 두어 실시간 real server의 장애를 체크하여 지속적인 게임 서비스에 지장이 없도록 하여 항상 안정된 게임 서비스를 할 수 있는 시스템이다.

Developmental toxicity and anti-inflammatory effect of the soft coral Dendronephthya gigantea collected from Jeju Island in zebrafish model

  • Recent in vitro studies have demonstrated that extract of soft coral Dendronephthya gigantea (SCDE) had strong anti-inflammatory activities. However, the direct effects of SCDE on anti-inflammatory activities in vivo model remained to be determined. Therefore, the present study was designed to assess in vivo anti-inflammatory effect of SCDE using lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated zebrafish model. We also investigated whether SCDE has toxic effects in zebrafish model. The survival, heart beat rate, and developmental abnormalities were no significant change in the zebrafish embryos exposed to at a concentration below $100{\mu}g/ml$ of SCDE. However, lethal toxicity was caused after exposure to 200 and $400{\mu}g/ml$ of SCDE. Treating zebrafish model with LPS treatment significantly increased the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide (NO) generation. However, SCDE inhibited this LPS-stimulated ROS and NO generation in a dose-dependent manner. These results show that SCDE alleviated inflammation by inhibiting the ROS and NO generation induced by LPS treatment. In addition, SCDE has a protective effect against the cell damage induced by LPS exposure in zebrafish embryos. This outcome could explain the profound anti-inflammatory effect of SCDE both in vitro as well as in vivo, suggesting that the SCDE might be a strong anti-inflammatory agent.

적출 가토 심장에 있어서 수축빈도-수축력 상관관계에 대한 Higenamine의 강심 효과 (The Effect of Higenamine upon the Interval-Strength Relationship in Isolated Rabbit Heart)

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 강심제로는 디지탈리스 배당체가 유일한 약물이지란 그 안전역이 대단히 좁아서 보다 안전한 강심제의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 최근 강심작용이 현저할 뿐 아니라 안전역이 비교적 넓을 것으로 인정되는 higenamine이 개발되어 그 작용기전을 밝히려는 시도가 많이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 higenamine의 강심작용 기전을 규명하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 수축빈도-수축력 상관관계(interval-strength relationship)에 있어서 1) Rested-state수축력 2) Positive inotropic effect of activation(PIEA) 3) Negative inotropic effect of activation(NIEA)에 대한 higenamine의 영향을 $Ca^{++}$및 epinephrine과 비교 분석하였다. 실험결과 칼슘은 PIEA를 증가시키기 보다는 오히려 NIEA의 소멸을 촉진함으로써 강심작용을 나타내며 epinephrine 및 higenamine은 PIEA를 증가시키고 NIEA에는 거의 영향을 미치지 않았다.

물벼룩을 이용한 농약의 급성 독성에 관한 연구 (Acute Toxicity Test of Agricultural Chemicals to Water Fleas)

  • There are concerns that chemical residues could harm the consumer on the environment, although 50 to 80% of the crops would be destroyed by pests and others without agrochemicals. Environmental fate and ecotoxicity studies are usually carried out to assess the impact on the human and the environment. A comparision of the Daphnia magnia and Simocephalus mixtus toxicity was performed to study the relative sensitivities and discrimination abilities to agriculture chemicals. The species of Simocephalus mixtus was more sensitive to agriculture chemicals than Daphnia magnia. Simocephalus mixtus was approved to be a water flea in determining insecticide and pesticide toxicity by heart-beat rate in a consistency and repeatability. The order of acute toxicity to water flea Daphnia magnia for ecotoxicity test was carbaryl>benomyl>amtirole with both Daphnia magnia and Simocephalus mixtus. The heartbeat pattern after the exposure to agrochemicals was different from that of exposure to heavy metals. Agrochemical leathal concentration test with heartbeat rate measurement was found to be more appropriate than inhibition concentration test with respect to toxicological endpoint.

마취관련 정보제공이 편도선 절제술 환자의 불안, 혈당, 코티졸 및 에피네프린에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Anesthetic Information on Pre-operative Anxiety, Glucose, Cortisol and Epinephrine of Patients Undergoing Tonsillectomy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to ascertain the effects of anesthetic information on preoperative state anxiety, plasma glucose, cortisol and epinephrine for patients under tonsillectomy and to provide generic data with anesthetic nursing intervention. Method: Data were collected from 60 patients who had tonsillectomy from November 1, 2003 to April 30, 2004. The group were divided into experimental group and control group: an experiment group of 30 patients was provided with an anesthetic information prepared by the researchers; a control group of another 30 patients was provided with general information. Data were analyzed through chi-squared test, t-test, repeated measure ANOVA using SPSS Program(version 12.0). Result: There were no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in pre-operative state anxiety, glucose and cortisol. However, there were statistically significant difference between the above two groups in pre-operative pre-operative blood pressure(p=.001), heart beat(p=.000), and epinephrine(p=.035). Conclusion: The authors, with the results of this study, concluded that the preoperative anesthetic information for patients under tonsillectomy had direct effect on lessening pre-operative anxiety.

스마트 응급의료 시스템 구현 (Implementation of the Smart Emergency Medical System)

  • 최근 구급차에 탑승하는 응급 구조사의 인원이 턱없이 부족하여 소방관 한 사람만이 구급차에 타고 환자를 이송하는 일이 종종 문제시 되곤 한다. 응급환자가 발생 시 신속하고 정확한 조치가 무엇보다도 필요하며 특히, 환자에게 적합한 의료기기가 있는 전문적인 병원으로 이송해야한다. 본 논문은 스마트 폰을 이용하여 병원 전 단계의 응급의료 시스템을 구현한다. 구현된 시스템은 환자 이송 중에 환자의 심박동을 실시간적으로 모니터링이나, 과거 환자의 병력 정보 등을 파악할 수 있으며, 환자가 필요로 하는 응급 병원 정보도 제공하여 병원 전 단계에서 응급 환자에게 신속하고 효율적인 처치가 가능한 환경을 제공한다.

소음에 장기 노출되었을 때 나타나는 심리생리적 효과 (Effects of Long-term Exposure to Noise on Psychophysiological Responses)

  • It is well known that a long-term exposure to a loud noise environment affects performance, since it distracts attention, and also is able to evoke stress accompanied by negative emotional states. The purpose of this study was to analyze dynamics of subjective and physiological variables during long-lasting (30 min) exposure to intensive white noise (85 dB[A]). Physiological signals on 23 college students were recorded by BIOPAC, Grass Neurodata systems and AcqKnowledge 3.5 software. Autonomic variables, namely skin conductance level (SCL), non-specific SCR number (N-SCR), inter-beat intervals in ECG (RR intervals), heart rate variability index (HF/LF ratio of HRV), respiration rate (RESP), and skin temperature (SKT) were analyzed on 5 min epoch basis. Psychological assessment (subjective rating of stress level) was also repeated on every 5 min basis. Regression and correlation analyses were employed to trace the time course of the dynamics of the subjective and autonomic physiological variables and their relationship. Results showed that intense noise evokes subjective stress with associated autonomic nervous system responses. However, it was shown that physiological variables endure specific changes in the process of exposure to loud white noise. Discussed are probable psychophysiological mechanisms mediating reactivity to long-term auditory stimulation of high intensity.

흉부질환의 화질과 피폭을 고려한 촬영조건의 연구 (A Study on the Chest Radiography with Diseases in Consideration of Image Qualify and Patient Exposure)

  • To evaluated the image quality and the patient exposure for the chest radiography, its fundamental imaging properties were investigated. The basic imaging properties were evaluated by measuring characteristic curves, relative speeds, average gradient, and patient exposure dose. The image qualities were evaluated by using a rotating meter. It was found that the film gradient of SRO750/SRH system was 3.13 and that of SRO750/HR-C30 was 1.77. The ratio of SRO1000/TMH to FS/RP-1 was 1 to 18.2. It was possible to visualize the static image when the exposure time was less than 2.5 msec in patient that had respiratory excessive motion, heart beat and natural physical motion, and less than 8.5 msec in normal. The ratio of medical exposure dose compared with our method was 1 to 25 in the routine chest radiography and maximum was 1 to 70. In estimation of the image quality in same cases, we found that the image of SRO1000/SRH and TMH of super sensitive systems was the same results. We found that these super sensitive screen-film systems were available for the chest radiography considering the relationship between the image quality and patient exposure.

  • 반려 동물을 키우는 가구가 늘어나면서 원격지에서 반려동물의 상태를 파악하려는 수요가 늘어나고 있다. 우리는 웨어러블 디바이스를 반려동물에게 착용시켜서 심박신호를 원격지에서 모니터링 할 수 있는 것을 목표로 한다. 그러나 블루투스를 이용한 모니터링 방식은 근거리에서만 접속할 수 있는 단점이 있고, WiFi를 통해 받아보는 방식은 전력 소모량이 크다는 단점이 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해서 사용자가 필요로 하지 않는 시점에는 블루투스를 이용하여 사용자의 요청을 간접적으로 받고, 사용자가 모니터링 요청을 한 경우 WiFi를 통해 센서 데이터를 보내는 방식으로 전력 소비량을 줄이는 시스템을 제안한다.
