The main objective of this study was to develop a concept of service marketing promotion in nursing that is derived from the concepts of service marketing theory. This research was a descriptive study, at the factor isolation level. The principle of concept derivation suggested by Walker and Avant (1988) and the Hybrid model suggested by Schwarz-Barcott and Kim (1993) were employed as the research method. The data were collected from December, 1997 to April. 1998 at a large general hospital located in Seoul. The procedures of this study were as follows: First. at the theoretical phase: the meaning, attributes, and definition of service marketing promotion were identified through an extensive review of the literature. Second, at the empirical phase: fieldwork was done to identify the promotional activities and events in nursing. Top nurse managers from 4 units (Director of Nursing, Head nurses of inpatient nursing unit, outpatient nursing unit. and home care nursing unit) were interviewed and the content of the interview was analyzed to identify the meaning and attributes of promotion in nursing. Other methods such as brochures and other audio-visual materials which were relevant to nursing promotion were used to supplement the interviews. Finally, the results of the theoretical and empirical analyses were intergrated to develop a concept of service marketing in nursing practice. A final definition of service marketing promotion in nursing was identified as follows. 1. Promotion as a marketing function in nursing service is concerned with communication to target markets on all information related to nursing service in order to satisfy the objectives of both a nursing service organization and the target markets. 2. The goals of nursing service promotion include: 1) increasing visibility of nursing services and delivering the information on nursing services, 2) affirming the value of nursing services, so it can contribute to formulation of reimbursement policy for nursing services. 3) advancing the general image of the nursing profession and nursing services. 4) achieving and attaining a desirable positioning for nurses among health care professionals. and 5) creating and stimulating the demand for nursing services. 3. In order to obtain these goals it is necessary to provide information on nursing services, to persuade target markets. to remind them about nursing services. and to establish a collaborative relationship with related departments. 4. The tools used to carry out the above functions of promotion in nursing are the providing nursing services, public relations and publicity. QA of nursing, advertising, and sales promotion. 5. The target markets of nursing service include the nursing customer markets. the internal markets, the influence markets. the recruitment markets. the supplier markets. and the nursing referral markets. In conclusion, the concept of promotion in other service marketing areas can be applied to the promotion of nursing service marketing. The promotion of nursing service is more than just effective communication in nursing service. it is the effective use of the concepts of service marketing promotion. Promotion of nursing service will contribute to create and expand nursing services.
Because Korea has the excellent informational technology, it was expected to be able to improve the accessibility to healthcare and compete with other nations in excellence through u-Healthcare. But we can't complete the excellent u-Healthcare because of the law to be able to use only the tele-counselling between doctor to doctor or doctor to nurse. First of all, we must complete the law to be able to use the improved u-Health containing of telemedicine between doctor to patient. Though other factors, the procurement of safe IT, the credibility to healthcare service provider containing of nutritionist and occupational therapist etc. are prepared for erecting u-Healthcare, we can get the final and decisive u-Health policy only by means of Law for supporting u-Healthcare's Activation. The important sections of Law for supporting u-Healthcare's Activation are as follows. Sec. 4 The Minister for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs and the dean of associated administrative division have to erect the combined plan for u-Healthcare's Activation. Sec. 11 Government and local autonomous entity can support the facility and equipment to be necessitated for using u-Healthcare to improve the medical accessibility of person in the region with poor medicine. Sec. 13 Doctor can support other doctor's medical action through IT and if there are not medical risk, doctor can give medical act directly to the special patients. Sec. 21 If pharmaceuticals is necessitated in u-Healthcare, remote doctor has to send the patient the electronic prescription and the pharmaceutist to receive the electronic prescription has to delivery the pharmaceuticals in accordance with patient's demand.
Purpose: This study investigated the occupational status and job stress of visiting nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Participants were 151 visiting nurses working in the public health services in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The study was conducted using a structured online questionnaire. Results: The average age of the visiting nurses was 49.5 years. A occupational period was 38.4% of the participants had worked for a period of 6-10 years and 34.5% of them had worked for a period of 11 years or more. In terms of employment type, 74.8% had permanent contracts and 13.9% had fixed terms. 93.4% of nurses were working on COVID-19-related work; and 57.6% of them were working more than 50% of their work. Each visiting nurse provided health services for a total of 436.4 cases on average and the per day count was 14.3 cases. The service was provided through home visits or phone consultations. The results of the job stress were relationship conflict (60.92±20.72), job demand (59.05±14.10), job autonomy (57.83±14.63), job instability (45.25±27.37), organizational system (44.97±17.21), workplace culture (42.71±18.00), and inadequate compensation (35.29±18.14). There was a significant difference in job stress according to the proportion of COVID-19 work was 'workplace culture' (p=.023), Job autonomy (p=.053) and Inappropriate compensation(p=.054). Conclusion: In order to provide a stable working environment for visiting nurses and effective public visiting health services during unexpected circumstances, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary to promote progressive policies and systemic improvements.

Recently, because of the growth in the leisure industry and interest in health, the demand for bicycles has increased. In this research, considering the vertical load on a bike frame under static state conditions, the deflection and mass of the bike frame were minimized by satisfying the service condition and performing optimization. The thickness of the bicycle-frame tube was set to a design variable, and its sensitivity was confirmed by an analysis of means (ANOM). To optimize the solution, a response-surface-method (RSM) model was constructed using D-Optimal and central composite design(CCD). The optimization was performed using a non-dominant sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II), and the optimal solution was verified by finite-element analysis.

Due to the development of information and communication, there is a rising interest on WBAN(Wireless Body Area Network) that maintain and check the human being health. According to the application of different quality of service and a special mechanism for transferring medical data are required in WBAN environment. In this paper, we proposed the new formed superframe that has CSMA/CA based TDMA scheduling and CSMA/CA used IEEE 802.15.4 in order to process emergency data and on-demand data in WBAN environment. We estimated performance of the proposed MAC protocol by compared performance of other MAC protocols that are IEEE 802.15.4 MAC protocl and Z-MAC protocol has contention access period based TDMA scheduling.

The purpose of this study was to propose the Guidelines for the Program and Space of Adult Day Care Center. Recently the Adult Day Care Center is extremely on demand caused by the increasing population of the elderly. In order to provide the affordable and efficient rehabilitation program the architectural setting should be turned to that purpose. In particular, the adult day center program must have the programs for three kinds of the elderly in terms of health status, for example, Altzheimer's disease, paralysis, and sickly elderly. Therefore this study propose the way of planning the program and spaces to give the appropriate care for Adult Day Care Center.

Objectives: To identify work stress and affecting factors of the emergency medical technicians(EMT) and to provide basic data for work circumstance improvement and emergency medical service and duty efficiency elevation. Methods: The data were collected by questionnaire from 635 emergency medical technicians throughout the whole country from August 5 to September 20 2013 and analyzed by using the SPSS(version 18.0) program. Factors affecting stress were analyzed by Multiple Linear Regression Analysis(${\alpha}=0.05$). Results: Mean level of job stress was markedly high in the spot situation(3.43 point), user awareness(3.31 point), burden related to work(3.21 point), role and conflict as a professional job(3.10 point), unsuitable treatment(2.95 point) but was lowest in specialty demand of knowledge and skill(2.76 point). Conclusions: To diminish work stress, understanding and cooperation of the residents and reduction of burden related to work must be improved. Above all, positive interest of 119 and related organ and duty environment improvement will and effort and continuous measure establishment and support and cooperation of the government are needed.
Conventional nutrition services involve producer-oriented approaches without considering the differences in the characteristics and circumstances of each individual, whereas personalized nutrition services are consumer-oriented concepts that provide products and services for maintaining optimal health conditions based on the genetic, physiological, and metabolic characteristics of individuals, with these products based on balanced nutrition and healthy living. Currently, methods for evaluating dietary habits, monitoring dietary behaviors, deep phenotyping, and metabotyping via microbiota profiling, as well as methods for predicting big data by using machine learning, have been previously studied in Korea and abroad. With the development of medical technology and the improvement of hygiene, the demand for personalized nutrition and health services for healthier, happier, and more satisfying lives is rapidly increasing. Therefore, based on scientific technologies, attempts are needed to advance these services into global personalized markets and to boost the global competitiveness of countries and companies.

Objectives: This paper introduces need and supply level of rural mental health care service and especially focuses on the evaluation for the community mental health programs of Public Health Centers(PHCs) in rural areas as the facilities for primary mental health care. Methods: We defined the need as prevalance rate and service utilization rate, for which reviewed the results of the epidemiological study of mental disorders using Korean Composite International Diagnostic Interview surveyed on a nationwide scale in 2001. Supply was appraised in terms of psychiatric beds and primary mental heath care facilities such as private psychiatric clinics, facilities for social rehabilitation, PHCs running community mental health programs. For this, we reveiwed a variety of annual reports related mental health published by Ministry of Health and Welfare. To evaluate the community mental health programs of PHCs in rural areas, we selected. randomly samples out of the 3rd community health plans including the contents of community mental health programs, which submitted by 89 rural counties and 44 cities mixed with rural areas, and used the program's guideline established by central government as a standard. Results: Prevalence rates of major psychiatric diseases such as schizophrenia, alcoholism, major depression, anxiety disorder were higher in rural area than in urban area and 8.9% of psychiatric patients in both areas stayed at homes contacted with mental health manpower more than one time during the last year. Psychiatric beds were sufficiently supplied, but urban area had less beds than rural area contrary to general health care service. Psychiatric clinics were supplied very insufficiently in rural areas and PHCs bridged the gap instead. However rural PHCs got less financial support for community mental health programs from higher positioned agencies than urban PHCs. Rural community health programs not supported hardly worked out. Conclusions: Central government should consider a special policy for rural primary mental health care, because private psychiatric clinics can't be introduced in rural areas due to demand-deficiency and the financial independence of rural counties was very vulnerable.

Since COVID-19's 1st pandemic came in February 2020, the demand for telemedicine grew greatly that in most countries the deregulation for telemedicine policy have been implemented in more countries. Also in Korea, with the name of 'Non-face-to-face Treatment' telemedicine began to be approved. Telemedicine having strength in chronic disease management has been effective in more and more specialties along with the recent development of ICT that it is expected to contribute to the improvement of the quality of healthcare service and creation of new treatment model. On the contrary it may also exacerbate the distortion in the hospital healthcare service industry in Korea, which is the excessive tipping toward large hospitals. So the dual promotion policy approach in which the settlement of family doctors system extensively utilizing telemedicine for chronic disease management and the support for tertiary hospitals and hospitals focusing on treating foreign patients to provide quality service using telemedicine technology are pursued simultaneously are recommended.
