Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the clinical practice ability and satisfaction of clinical training of health-medical information management major students. Methods : The data were collected from 68 persons from students finished clinical training at medical record (information) team using self administered questionnaires. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and correlation with SPSS 22.0 version. Results: Performance of data collection, data management, and data analysis were analyzed in three areas of the job area. In terms of academic characteristics and correlation, they were not related to the level of satisfaction with the practical experience. Conclusions : Research on a virtuous cycle clinical practice program that analyzes the factors by assessing the satisfaction level of clinical practice in each area of health care information management will be conducted continuously.
The study aimed to estimate the importance of job tasks, job training requirement and work satisfaction felt by dental hygienists to help dental hygienists work efficiently and effectively. A total of 142 dental hygienists working in dental hospitals located in J participated in the study. A SPSS 10.10 for Windows was used for statistical analysis. The statistical significance was defined as ${\alpha}$=.05. The results of the study are summarized as follows: 1. The mean score for the importance of job tasks was 4.09. The respondents considered dental clinic management and assistance to dentists the most important among their job descriptions showing the mean score of 4.44. The need for job training was 4.15 in average. The respondents wanted to have training on how to make a dental health insurance claim to receive payment other than any training with the mean score of 4.42. The work satisfaction of the respondents was 3.65 in average. The respondents were most satisfied with their work in dental assistance. 2. By the category of job tasks, the levels of importance of job tasks, job training requirement and work satisfaction were higher in plague removal with an ultrasonic scaler related to clinical oral prophylaxis, pit and fissure sealants related to preventive dental treatment and instruction in the correct usage of toothbrush related to public dental health education 3. In dealing with dental radiation machines, the radiation protection was considered the most important. While the training for periapical radiography was most needed, the respondents were satisfied with working in the same area. The levels of job importance, training requirement and work satisfaction were high in preventive dental care in the community performed in relation to the public dental health care. 4. In the dental health insurance claim category, the levels of importance of job task, training requirement and work satisfaction were higher in insurance claiming. The levels of job importance and training requirement were high in dental clinic management and assistance to dentists performed for preventive dental treatment. The work satisfaction was higher in maintaining medical chart records. The levels of job importance, training requirement and work satisfaction were higher in dental assistance in relation to dental protection. 5. There was significant relationship between the level of importance and work experience. Those with a longer period of work experience had higher levels of job importance in dental health insurance claim, dental clinic management and assistance to dentists and the overall task(pE0.05). 6. A significant relationship was observed between the need for job training in dental cleaning and preventive dental treatment and work experience. Those with more than 8 years of work experience demonstrated that job training is most needed(pE0.05). 7. The work satisfaction level was higher in the group with more than 8 years of work experience, compared with those in other work experience periods(pE0.05). 8. A positive correlation was seen between the level of importance and the need for job training among three variables.
The purpose of this paper is to provide the basic information concerning school health nursing activities in schools lacking in a school nurse, and the degree of satisfaction of trainess to the training course of school health nursing. The data for this study were collected by means of questionnaire from 150 teachers(100 of primary school and 50 of middle school)who attended the training course superintended by the Board of Education of Kyeong Nam Province from July 27 to August 6 in 1987. The main results of this study can be summarized as following; 1. General characteristics of the trainees: The majority of the trainees (71.3%) were in the age of twenties, 86.5% graduated from four-year teachers' college, 63.5% had less than five-year experience as a teacher. 2. 60.5% of the trainees were actually offering school health nursing services. 67.8% decided voluntarily to participate in the training course, and 62.7% attended the course for the purpose of obtaining health knowledge. 3. Only 4.2% of schools established appropriate health organization, and 34.5% were equipped with nursing clinic. But the main reason school health nursing activities were not performed very well was the insufficient supply of needed medicines and related materials. 4. School health nursing services in schools lacking in a school nurse were offered mainly by the teacher holding additional job of school health. class teacher and atheletic teacher. But the sanitary management for school meal services and community health activities were not carried out at all in many schools. 5. As a whole, trainees were satisfied with training program. But some subjects of the course did not satisfy them because those ones were so theoretical without any practice. 6. Many trainees wished the training course to be more concentrated on case studies which are helpful to solve actual problems. 7. 75% of trainees answered to have decided to perform school health nursing activities more actively than before. 8. Any significant relationship can not be found between trainees' general characteristics and their attitude to school health nursing activities after the training course. Only one factor-motivation to attend the training course-had the statistical significance of 8.7%.
Purpose: This descriptive research was conducted to identify educational needs in pediatric nursing handoff training to improve students' handoff skills. Methods: Data were collected using a survey with 188 senior nursing students and 48 pediatric nursing professors and clinical nurses. The survey included items on general information as well as experiences in handoff training, necessity, training content, and items for a handoff training program in pediatric nursing. Results: Of the nursing students, 30.5% reported receiving handoff training during their clinical hours. After their handoff training, the students' confidence index was only 3.78 out of 10. Significantly, 98.3% of the respondents said that pediatric handoff training is necessary. In addition, participants reported that simulation practice (26.5%) is an appropriate educational method, and the time required for handoff training should be 8.16 hrs. Admission process was placed first as the most critical circumstance for handoff (56.8%). High demands were observed for the necessity of training content for patients with respiratory problems. Conclusion: The results of this study show the various educational needs for developing a patient safety pediatric handoff training program to promote nursing students' skills in handoff.
Objectives : This study analyzed job performance in local area general hospitals to look for measurable effects from educational training and/or organizational communication. Methods : For the purposes of this study, a survey was conducted of general hospital employees from 29 hospitals in Gwangju and Jeonnam. The survey period was August 22 - September 30, 2016, and 1,004 responses were used in the final analysis. Results : This study revealed that certain aspects of communication (upward,downward,vertical,orinformal) had significant effects on job satisfaction, learning transfer, and general performance. Conclusions : To improve job performance in general hospitals, employers must improve overall satisfaction by improving upon job training and internal communication. Specifically, training should be better connected to learning transfer and organizational design must encourage active communication between employees.
Purpose. This study conducted visual function training for children under 12 years of age who relapsed after surgery for intermittent exotropia. We are trying to find out whether the visual function has been improved by visual function training. Methods. After surgery, the subject with recurrent exotropia was given a prescription for refractive error, followed by visual function training and vision therapy with visual sence using prisms and lenses. Results. The subjects' positive relative convergence improved to 19.69𝚫, corrected visual acuity improved to 0.88, and stereoscopic vision function improved to 53.08 arc second. It was found that the smaller the angle of deviation at the time of recurrence after surgery, the better the vision therapy effect. Conclusions. It can be seen that visual function training is helpful in improving visual function, and the importance of visual function training can be known.
Although most of Korean PT professors and clinical lecturers has been thought the importance of the PT student's clinical practice, there has got a lot of training problems in clinical field. As the result, of our survey study pointed out trouble of the (1) training duration (2) training credits (3) training evaluation (4) training workbook (5) training fee (6) training hospital numbers and (7) training quality etc, in Korean today's situation. So we suggest the Internship-training system for above half a year after student has got a PT licence, as a desired training model.
Purpose : With increasing number of school accidents, it is crucial to find out necessity of first aid training among school health educator. This study has been conducted to have an clear idea on the demands and necessity for first aid training and what kind of training is most required from school health educator. Method : In this study, questionnaires from 87 school health educator in elementary, middle and high school health educator in the city D were analyzed. The survey was carned out from May 26, 2008 to June 7, 2008 and from the collected data, frequency, independent two samples t-test, paired T-test, one way ANOVA and pearson's correlation were conducted with SPSS 14.0. Result: 1. 51.61 % of nurse-teachers experienced emergency situations and the relations between the necessity they felt from experiencing those situations and demands for first aid training were not statistically meaningful(t=1.87, p= .175). 2. Necessity and demands for the first-aid training were checked with three point scale and there were statistical significance between the two with $2.44{\pm}.47$ and $2.24{\pm}.47$ respectively(t=3.275, p= .000). 3. 86.20%(75 persons) of the respondents have had received first aid training and the training they received were CPR 82.75%(72 persons), primary survey 81.60%(7l persons), contact to 911 79.30%(69 persons) and wounds treatment(lacerated wounds, bum and chilblains) 75.86%( 66 persons) in order. 4. As for the questions that ask on confidence of first-aid treatment, 80% answered they are confident on some limited kinds of treatments, 16% said they are confident and 4% answered they lack confidence. As for the treatment that they can show the highest confidence, wounds treatment topped the list with 93.24%, nose bleeding and removing foreign substance, and stanching followed the list with 82.43% and 81.08% respectively. 5. 97.67% of respondents said they were willing to take training and 89.62% answered to take the training to deal with emergency situations that are taking place in their schools. As for the question that asks for the most wanted treatments, CPR topped the list with 32.18%(28 persons) and treatment for obstruction of airway and shock followed the list with 35.63%(31 persons) and 27.59%(24 persons). Conclusion : Currently, first aid treatment has been centered on CPR, primary survey, contact to 119 and wounds treatment. However, since most of school health educator are fairly confident with wounds treatment, stanching and other first aids, in future training it will be more desirable to focus on CPR and treatment for obstruction of airway and shock that were shown to be most wanted by school health educator.
Purpose: This study examined the efficacy of parent training interventions to facilitate social reciprocity and language development in children with autism. Methods: The social interaction behaviors of mothers and children over time were compared using single subject design experimentation methodology. five children who were diagnosed with autism and their mothers participated in the study. The participants were recruited from U city, Korea. The mothers were trained using training videotapes and demonstrations on how to facilitate social interaction with their children as well as promoting language development. following the training, data were collected three times per week by video taping mother-child interaction in their homes. Results: Four of the five mothers demonstrated increases in the use of imitation with animation and expectant waiting after the intervention compared to the baseline sessions; the children demonstrated noticeable increases in the use of initiation of interaction, vocalizations, and verbal production after their mothers received the training intervention. Conclusion : Results of this study demonstrate the efficacy of mother training to improve social interactions of children with autism. Additional important information can be gained by replicating this study with more participants and comparing intervention and control groups. Clearly, this intervention shows promise and has implications far clinical practice.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the concrete educational needs of visiting nurses working in a community health setting in Korea. Methods: We conducted four focus group interviews from October 7 to October 18, 2021. Twenty-five visiting nurses who worked in public health centers were recruited through purposive sampling. A qualitative content analysis was used to analyze the interview data. Results: The demands of educational contents for visiting nurse safety management practical training were: (1) coping with physical and verbal violence, (2) coping with sexual violence, (3) infection control for infectious diseases with a high prevalence in the community, and (4) preventing and coping with animal bites during home visits. In addition, visiting nurses suggested training programs that comprised: (1) case-based learning, (2) short video clips, and (3) recurrent integrated education. Conclusion: Safety management training programs for visiting nurses should be implemented to the extent that they add no burden on their workload and are easily accessible at any time. In addition, training programs should be based on actual cases and be focused on contents that can be applied in home visit situations. A practical safety management training program should be developed based on the educational needs of visiting nurses, as identified through this study.
