  • The major economic health problem of dairy cattle is mastitis which can affect 10 to 50% of cow-quarters. This health problem is difficult for many dairy farmers and health advisors to understand, diagnose and control. Without special laboratory testing, most mastitis is overlooked. Estimates of annual mastitis cast per cow vary from $50 to $200. For the nearly 9 million cows in the United States, annual loss to the dairy industry amounts to over one billion. A knowledge-based decision aid has been developed to evaluate mastitis data retrieved electronically from two of nine U. S. regional dairy records processing centers. Heuristic rules to diagnose herd mastitis problems were collected and incorporated into the system from various domain experts. This system information. It allows users to select mastitis control schemes with various degrees of aggressiveness and teaches commonly accepted mastitis control practices.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), abnormal activity is growing faster in people aged 60 or more than any other age group in almost every country. This trend steadily continues and expected to increase further in the near future. Abnormal activity put these people at high risk of expected incidents since most of these people live alone. Human abnormal activity analysis is a challenging, useful and interesting problem among the researchers and its particularly crucial task in life and health care areas. In this paper, we discuss the problem of abnormal activities of old people lives alone at home. We propose Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based model to detect the abnormal behaviors of elderlies by utilizing six simulated action data from daily life actions.

  • This paper reviewed available information/data compiled by various agencies, institutions, and experts, including the academe. The review concentrated on five of the most pressing problems such as air pollution, water pollution, land pollution related to the problem of solid wastes, toxic and hazardous chemical wastes and deforestation. Most of the data presented focused on Metro Manila. Past air monitoring data showed significant exceedances of national air quality guideline values especially for particulates and lead. Many of the country's rivers and lakes have deteriorated, some were declared biologically dead. The acute solid waste problem and the proliferation of toxic and hazardous chemicals have led to the enactment of legislation. Uncontrolled deforestation has taken its toll on the environment and people. Various actions were undertaken by the national administration with the cooperation of other sectors to address environmental problems. However, constraints to the enforcement of environmental laws and programs must be minimized to attain the desired level of environmental protection and management.

An ANCOVA was conducted to identify significant mean differences of risk, safety, satisfaction and health related variables among direct employed workers, dispatch and service supplier workers. The results showed that all the variables except stress showed a significant difference depending on employment type in the service supply industry. In the manufacturing industry, there were significant difference in the risk factor exposure, MSDs exposure, work environment satisfaction, workload, physical health problem, perceived health, and participation depending on employment type. These results indicated that the risks are unloaded to subcontract and outsourcing company workers. Based on these results, the implications of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.
