쌀 바구미와 곰팡이가 저장미의 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Rice Weevil and mold on Quality of Stored Rice)

  • $28^{\circ}{\pm}2^{\circ}C$에서 24주 동안 저장한 쌀은 대조구및 곰팡이를 접종한 경우에는 수분항량이 각각 13.7%$\sim$14.1%로서 곰팡이의 생장은 보이지 않았다. 바구미가 존재할 경우에는 , n-hexanal 함량도 대조구및 곰팡이구에 비하여 현격한 차이를 나타내며 변화하였다.

  • In order to observe the factors affecting light utilization efficiency in the canopy of a rice crop grown in reclaimed saline areas in Korea, 22 varieties of rice were cultured at the average salt concentration of 6.05mmhos/cm $25^{\circ}C$, (0.39%) in saline soils and non-saline silty loam soils. The inhibition of tillering ability by salt damage at the maximum tillering stage was greater than to growth in height. A significant direct correlation was observed between both ratios and salt concentration with each variety. In the salty areas the length of the flag leaf of the maturing stage showed a positive correlation with the production of rough rice while other living leaf showed a negative correlation. LAI of maturing stage was less in the salty area than in the non-salty area, while the former showed higher ratio in net assimilation and translocation to head with greater RGR before and after the heading stage.

이앙시기가 중산간지 고품질 쌀 생산에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Transplanting Times on Rice Quality in Mid-mountainous Area)

  • 재배시기가 중산간지에서 생산된 쌀 품질에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여, 중산간지에 추천된 품종(삼천벼, 상미벼, 화영벼, 주남벼)을 대상으로 5월 10일부터 6월 9일까지 10일 간격으로 4회에 걸쳐 이앙${\cdot}$재배한 3년간의 결과를 분석한 쌀품질 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 식미치 분석결과 재배시기와 품종간의 상호작용 효과가 있어, 5월 10일 이앙재배에서는 상미벼, 화영벼, 주남벼가 삼천벼에 비해, 5월 20일 이앙재배에서는 상미벼와 주남벼가 삼천벼에 비해, 5월 30일 이앙재배에서는 상미벼와 화영벼가 삼천벼와 주남벼에 비해, 6월 9일 이앙재배에서는 상미벼와 삼천벼가 화영벼와 주남벼에 비해 식미치가 높았다. 따라서 상미벼가 4처리의 모든 이앙기에서 식미치가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 2. 아미로스 함량도 재배시기와 품종간에 상호작용 효과가 인정된바, 5월 10일과 5월 30일 이앙재배에서는 품종간의 아미로스함량에 유의차가 없었고, 5월 20일 이앙재배에서는 상미벼와 삼천벼가 주남벼보다, 6월 9일 이앙재배에서는 상미벼와 삼천벼가 화영벼와 주남벼 보다 아미로스 함량이 낮게 나타났다. 3. 단백질 함량은 이앙시기 중 6월 9일 이앙이, 품종 중에서는 주남벼가 가장 낮았다. 4. 완전미의 수량은 이앙시기 및 품종간의 유의차가 없었다. 5. 백미의 수량은 5월 20일 이앙이 5월 30일과 6월 9일 이앙재배보다 높았고, 품종간의 유의차는 없었다. 6. 본 실험 처리 중 중산간지 고품질 쌀 생산에 가장 유리한 이앙기는 5월 20일, 품종은 상미벼인 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Application of precision farming technology to rice cultivation could be an effective measure for rice quality improvement and environment-friendly agriculture. This study was conducted to develope a variable rate pneumatic granule applicator. Previous study reported that application uniformity of the prototype machine (C.V. = 23.3%) was not satisfactory. To improve the uniformity, increase of blow-head number from 12 to 16 was suggested. Analysis of the pneumatic conveying system showed that increase of number of blow-head was possible. Three-way variance analysis of the modified applicator showed that inserting length should be changed according to granule metering rate. The range of metering rate from 27.3 to 417.9 g/s were divided into 4 levels and 4 sets of inserting lengths were determined to ensure CV values less than 15%. The revised applicator showed satisfactory C.V. values of 9.4 to 14.6% in the metering rate. Granule conveying pattern was observed using a high speed camera and judged as the homogeneous flow pattern.

공급률 및 탈곡통 길이 변화에 따른 자탈형 콤바인 탈곡 성능 (Threshing Performance dependent upon Feed Rate and Threshing Drum Length for Head-Feed Combine)

  • Threshing loss was increased due to dropping of the threshing efficiency when the 4 row head-feed combine harvested 5 row rice to improve harvesting performance of a combine. Reasonable design criteria were examined to determine the ranges of both of feed rate and the length of threshing drum for the 4 row head-feed combine being used as a 5-row combine. Harvesting performance increased as working width or working speed increased, it resulted in 15% increase when the working width increased from 4 row to 5 row. Harvesting operations of the 4 row combine performed normally in the 4 row rice in threshing loss less than 1%, however, threshing loss increased to 2.25% in the 5 row due to poor threshing efficiency. The length of threshing drum was increased from 710 mm to 810 mm as well as the speed of crop feed chain was increased from 0.61 m/s to 0.75 m/s so as to improve the poor threshing efficiency resulted from the enlarged working width from the 4 row to the 5 row, which would decrease threshing loss less than 1%.

규산질 비료 시용이 쌀 품질 및 저장 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Silicate Application on Grain Quality and Storage Characteristics in Rice)

  • 규산 시용에 따른 수량 및 미질 관련해서는 많이 보고되고 있지만 도정 특성과 관련된 보고와 특히 저장관련 자료가 거의 없어 이에 대한 연구를 수행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 수량 및 수량구성요소에서는 규산 시용구에서 수수 및 영화수가 증가하였으며, 등숙비율도 2%이상 증가하여 완전미 수량은 $7.7{\sim}9.5%$정도 증가하였다. 2. 미질 특성의 이화학적 성분 함량은 규산시용에 따라 단백질 함량은 $0.2{\sim}0.3%$ 감소하였으며, 쌀의 외관상 품위 변화는 시용량이 증가할수록 분상질립 및 피해립율이 감소되면서 완전미의 비율이 규산 무시용(83.2%)에 비해 규산 1배 시용시 85.6%, 1.5배 시용시 86.4%, 2배 시용시 88.7%로 높아지는 효과가 있었다. 3. 규산을 시용함에 따른 색체 선별율은 $4.2{\sim}7.2%$ 향상되었고, 색미율은 $5.5{\sim}16.6%$ 낮아져 완전미 도정수율은 $5.5{\sim}8.6%$향상되었다. 4. 규산 시용에 따른 저장성 변화에 있어서 지방산도는 저온 저장($15^{\circ}C$)에서는 저장기간에 따른 큰 변화는 없었으나, 상온저장에서는 6월 이후 증가하여 노화가 급격하게 진행되었다. 5. 쌀의 pH에 의한 최상위 등급 비율은 저온 저장에서는 9월 이후부터 낮아지는 경향이나, 상온 저장에서는 6월부터 급격히 낮아져 신선도가 현저히 저하되었으며, 저온과 상온 저장 모두 규산 시용구에서 쌀의 신선도가 무시용구에 비하여 오래 지속되는 경향이었다.

호남평야지에서 쌀 품질 향상을 위한 적정 수확시기 (Proper Harvesting Time for Improving the Rice Quality in Honam Plain Area)

  • 호남평야지에서 고품질 쌀 생산을 위한 품종별 적정 수확시기를 검토하기 위하여 $2002\~2004$년에 평야지인 익산에서 조생종인 삼천벼, 중생종인 화성벼, 중만생종인 남평벼를 공시하여 시험을 수행하였는데, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 등숙비율은 삼천벼는 출수 후 $50\~55$일, 화성벼 $55\~60$일, 남평벼 60일 이후수확에서 높았고 현미천립중은 삼천벼는 출수 후 $50\~55$일, 화성벼 55일, 남평벼 $55\~60$일 수확에서 무거웠다. 2. 쌀 수량은 삼천벼는 출수 후 $45\~50$일, 화성벼 $50\~55$일, 남평벼 $55\~60$일 수확에서 많았다. 3. 완전미 수량은 삼천벼는 출수 후 45일, 화성벼 50일, 남평벼 $55\~60$일 수확에서 많았다. 4. 따라서 호남평야지에서 완전미 수량, 쌀 품위, 단백질 함량, Toyo 식미치 등을 고려한 수확적기는 삼천벼는 출수 후 52일(적산온도 $1,213^{\circ}C$), 화성벼는 출수 후 56일$(1,221^{\circ}C)$, 남평벼는 출수 후 60일$(1,207^{\circ}C)$경으로 생각된다.

장기저장 미곡의 품질 특성 (Characteristic of the Rice Quality with Long-term Storage of Paddy)

  • In order to investigate the changes of rice qualities during 4 years storage of paddy in warehouse of normal temperature condition. As storage period go by, head ratio was deduced and broken rice was increased according as a change of temperature during the long term storage. A color of rice was became more dark gray than that of entering time as L value was decreased from 64.07 to 61.62 a 4 years late. As a results of studies on the cooking quality of milled rice, water uptake ratio and expanded volume were increased in proporation to storage period, wherease total solids and iodine blue value were decreased. In the characteristic of texture of cooked rice, viscosity/hardness ratio(-H/H) had a decreasing tendency, while adhesiveness and cohesiveness increased with increased storage time. The qualities of cooked milled rice studied were sensory attributies of odor, taste, stickiness and appearance which were evaluvated by multiple comparsion method. The sensory results showed that all of descriptions were deterirated with a increased storage period. The taste and stickiness were changed from good score to bad score a 2 years later.

Sorghum Harvesting Using a Head-feeding Type Rice Combine

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine appropriate threshing and selection conditions for sorghum harvesting using a rice combine-harvester. Methods: Sorghum harvesting performance was tested using an actual rice combine. Through this test, the grain loss rate and the composition of crops according to the engine and fan speeds of the combine were investigated. Furthermore, the optimal threshing and selection conditions were determined by carrying out a harvest test based on the opening size factor of the concave in a test field. Results: The grain loss rate for the sorghum using a concave ($18{\times}18mm$) of the rice combine was the lowest at 0.1% at a chaffer angle of $40^{\circ}$, engine speed of 2000 rpm, and fan speed of 20 m/s, but the sorting sieve clogged frequently. Furthermore, as the engine speed and fan speed increased, the grain loss rate also increased. The sorghum harvesting test results of the combine according to the concave opening size showed that the grain loss rate was 0.5% at a driving speed of 0.5 m/s, with a concave opening diameter of 13 mm, a chaffer angle of $40^{\circ}$, a concave sieve oscillation frequency of 4.8 Hz, a fan speed of 20 m/s, and an engine speed of 2000 rpm. Conclusions: Findings showed that sorghum could be harvested using a head feeding rice combine.

Changes in Rice Yield and Quality According to the Levels of Phosphate and Potassium Fertilization Under Reduced Nitrogen Fertilizer Condition

  • In order to investigate changes in rice yield and quality according to phosphate and potassium fertilization levels when nitrogen fertilizer was applied at 7 kg·10a-1, a field experiment was conducted at National Institute of Crop Science of Korea in 2021. Three Korean rice varieties were grown in paddy fields, and phosphate and potassium fertilizer were treated at three levels(N-P-K 7-4.5-5.7 kg·10a-1, 7-3-3 kg·10a-1, 7-0-0 kg·10a-1). When phosphate and potassium fertilizers were not treated, the yield of Ilpum and Chilbo was significantly reduced, and there was no significant difference in Hopyung. The head rice ratio was significantly lower in the untreated plot of Hopyung and Chilbo, but there was no significant difference in the Ilpum. Protein content was significantly decreased in the untreated plot of Chilbo, and there was no significant difference in other varieties. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that yield, head rice ratio, and protein content were lowered when phosphate and potassium fertilizers were not treated, and the degree of decrease was different depending on the variety.
