ECDIS에 의한 외끌이 기선저인망 어선의 투양망 조업 과정의 실시간 모니터링 (Real-time monitoring of net setting and hauling process in fishing operations of Danish seine vessel using ECDIS)

  • This paper describes on the real-time monitoring of net setting and hauling process for fishing operations of Danish seine vessels in the southern waters of Korea as an application of a PC based ECDIS system. Tracking of fishing process was performed for the large scale Danish seine vessel of G/T 90 and 350 PS class using the fishing gear which the length of net, ground rope, head rope and sweep line including warp in both sides were 86m, 104m, 118m and 3,200m, respectively. Tracking information for net setting and hauling process was continuously recorded for 23 fishing operations performed on November and December, 2003. All measurement data, such as trawl position, heading, towing course and past track which was individually time stamped during data acquisition, was processed in real time on the ECDIS and displayed simultaneously on the ENC chart. The results indicated that after the separation of a marker buoy from Danish seiner, the averaged running speed of vessel and the averaged setting period while shooting the seine on the course of diamond shape to surround the fish school in the 23 fishing operations were 8.3 knots and 13.1 minutes, respectively. And with the maker buoy taken on board, the averaged running speed of vessel and the averaged towing period while closing the seine on the straight route was 1.0 knots and 47.0 minutes, respectively. After the closing stage of hand rope, the hand rope was towed by the averaged speed of 2.2 knots during the 13.0 minutes. The average area for route of diamond shape swept by sweep lines of the seine in 23 fishing grounds was $709,951.6m^2$. Further investigation is also planed to provide more quantitative tracking information and to achieve more effective surveillance and control of Danish seine vessels in EEZ fishing grounds.

우리나라 근해 대형트롤 어선의 선교업무 특성 (Characteristics of bridge task in Korean coastal large trawler)

  • To suggest a standard concerning with the arrangement of bridge equipment, the authors conducted the video observations with 3CCD (charge coupled device) cameras installed on the ceil of the bridge for monitoring the working activities of two bridge teams (the skipper/mate1 and the skipper/mate2) in a Korean coastal large trawler(gross tonnage: 139) for five days from July 30th. 2010 and analyzed of the data. Work elements coded by the work activities were input on the sheet of work analysis by the time unit of 1 sec according to the time occurred. A single work element among the work activities for every 5 minutes was denoted as the number of occurrence. The frequency of equipment usage was limited only in the usage of the equipment. In the case of the navigation and the towing net two ranks were integrated and analyzed. On the other hand, in the case of the casting net and the hauling net, two processes were integrated to as one and then analyzed separately as two ranks. As the results, 15 elements of work was carried out between two bridge teams for the observation; lookout, radar, GPS plotter, fish finder, net monitor, fishing deck, RPM indicator, rudder angle indicator, compass card, for maneuver; steering, ship speed control, trawl winch operation and external communications, paper works and others. It was found that the work load of the skipper per 5 minutes accordance with the navigation, the casting net, the towing net and the hauling net are 20.5 times, 11.9 times, 38.0 times and 9.5 times respectively, the mates are 65.2 times, 66.5 times, 85.7 times and 59.1 times respectively. The radar was shown the highest frequency of the equipment usage and the next was the fish finder, the GPS plotter and the external communications in the case of the navigation. In the case of the towing net the frequency of usage was high the ranking as the radar, the net monitor, the fish finder, the GPS plotter, the steering system and the external communications. In the case of the integrated process both of the casting and hauling net the trawl winch was shown the highest frequency to the skipper and the next was the GPS plotter and the radar, and the steering system was shown the highest frequency to the mate and the next was the radar, the ship speed control system, the GPS plotter, the net monitor and the fish finder.

쌍끌이 중층트롤어업의 연구 ( IV ) ( a Study on the Midwater Pair Trawling ( IV )

  • Full scale experiment was carried out in the southern sea of Korea to compare some important factors tested in the model experiment. The results obtained can be summarized as follows ; 1. The changing aspect of mouth performance of the full scale net was almost coincided with the results obtained by the model experiment. The vertical opening(H) and the opening area(S) can be expressed as a function of the towing velocity(V) as H=48.78. $e^0.38V$(unit: m, k't) S= 1,443 .$e^-0.25V$(unit: $m^2V$, k't) 2. The changing aspect of working depth of the full scale net was almost coincided with the results obtained by the model experiment. The depth(D) can be expressed as a function of the towing velocity(V) and the warp length(L) as D=92.49.$V^1.37$(unit: m, k't, L= 150m) D= 12.07+0.32. L (unit: m, V=2k't) [)= - 7.90+0.22 . L (unit: m, V=3k't) 3. Some problems were found to operate A - type full scale net by common bottom pair trawlers. The problems can be summarized as follows; (1) Entangling of wing and square head ropes while net casting.(2) Man power needed and time spent for net hauling by common bottom trawlers increased considerably.( 3) Tearing of nettings caused by over -load of tension and entangling of net pendant while net hauling. To solve these problems, the trawlers are favorable to be equipped with variable pitch propeller and llet drum. While the net is favorable to be constructed with trifurcated net pendant in stead of quadrifurcated net pendant used at present.

새우조망 어구의 막대 (빔)와 날개그물 길이에 따른 어획성능과 양망 작업에의 영향 (Catching efficiency of a shrimp beam trawl according to the length of beam and wing net and its influence on the hauling work)

  • Shrimp beam trawl fishery is one of the important coastal fisheries in Korea. It has a regulation to the length of beam (8m) and wing net (7m) of shrimp beam trawl that has been used in the district of Junlanam-do and Gyungsangnam-do. This regulation was made in relation to the size of shrimp beam trawler of 3-ton class at that time. Now the shrimp beam fishing vessel has a limit not greater than 5 tons in gross ton. Recently, with improvement of fishing industry and fishing vessel fishermen asked the expansion of the length of beam and wing net, therefore it is necessary to investigate the effect of lengthening the beam and wing net length. Three different beams (8m, 10m and 12m in length) and three different wing net (7m, 10m and 13m in length) were made and the experiment was conducted near Narodo of Goheng by two fishing vessels of 4.98 and 4.88 tons in gross ton between June 2011 and October 2012. When the length of wing net was increased from 7m to 10m and 13m, the relative catch ratio in total biomass was increased 25% and 79% for shrimp, (17% and 22% in total), respectively. And when the beam length was increased from 8m to 10m and 12m, the relative catch ratio was increased 35% and 84% for shrimp, (21% and 37% in total), respectively. The force exerted to the iron guide of inhauler's with the beam length of 8m was about 30% greater than that with the beam length of 10m when hauling the shrimp beam trawl net.

링크분석에 의한 우리나라 근해대형트롤선의 선교 레이아웃 개선에 관한 기초연구 (The Basic Study on Improvement Bridge Layout by Link Analysis in Korean Coastal Large Trawler)

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain a basic data on layout of the trawlers' bridge equipment. The task activities of bridge workers involved in the navigation and fishing operation were analyzed by link analysis methods. The results are as follows. It was found that the movement pattern and frequency of bridge workers are different accordance with the bridge work (navigation, casting net, towing net and hauling net). The central workstation of movement of the bridge workers was a radar workstation, a steering workstation and a trawl winch workstation in the bridge work. But the radar did not show up as the center of movement during the hauling net. Workstations related deeply to the central workstations of the movement on the bridge were as below. Radar workstation was related to a GPS plotter, a microphone location for external communication with VHF and MF/HF equipment and a steering in the case of the navigation, the steering, the GPS plotter and the net monitor in the case of the fishing operation. Steering workstation was related deeply to the GPS plotter, the radar in the case of the navigation, a speed controller, the GPS plotter, a fish finder, the net monitor and the microphone location in the case of the fishing operation. Trawl winch workstation showed deep relation with the GPS plotter and the speed control during the fishing operation. Through this study, it was found that Workstations related deeply to the central workstation of the movement of the bridge workers in accordance with the bridge work. The results of this study might be utilized as the basic data on the bridge layout to minimize the fatigue degree due to a physical movement of the bridge workers.

효율적인 어업실습선의 선교 layout을 위한 당직항해사의 업무특성 분석 (Analysis characteristics of officers' watch-keeping for efficient navigation bridge layout of a fisheries training vessel)

  • This study analyzed characteristics of officers' watch-keeping during fishing operation at the fisheries training ship KAYA (GT: 1,737 tons, Pukyong National University). It observed fishing works of three officers in wheel house of KAYA. The observations were carried out at the fishing ground 45 miles away from east of Jeju from 7 to 8 January 2010. The works and movements of the officers were recorded with three common video cameras and a 4-channel MPEG-4 Triplex DVR. Recorded data of the working circulation was analyzed by using the post-processing method. As a result of the traffic lines, the average (${\pm}S.D$) of working hour (min) and moving frequency (times), distance (m) and speed (m/min) during setting the net was 11.8 (0.9), 43.7 (8.1), 133.9 (35.8) and 10.5 (0.6), respectively. During trawling the net, it was 100, 241 (39.8), 615.7 (194.6) and 5.2 (1.6), respectively. During hauling the net, it was 17.6 (1.4), 41.0 (7.2), 196.9 (37.6) and 10.7 (0.8), respectively. In addition, it has a different tendency of the instrument usage frequency by the fishing works. During setting, the usage priority was CCTV, ECDIS, RPM and pitch controller, net monitor, GPS plotter, chart room, X-band radar, fish finder and public addressor. During trawling, it was CCTV, ECDIS, fish finder, X-band radar, net monitor, chart room, GPS plotter, RPM and pitch controller, auto pilot and steering, interphone, wind speed and direction indicator, No.1. VHF, navigation light control panel and public addressor. During hauling, it was CCTV, RPM and pitch controller, GPS plotter, public addressor, chart room, net monitor, X-band radar, auto pilot and steering and fish finder.

은대구 통발 권양중의 유체저항에 관하여 (On The Hydrodynamic Resistance of the Sablefish Pot in Hauling-up)

  • 원뿔대 모양의 은대구 통발을 권양할 때의 류휴저항을 측정하고, 그로부터 모랫줄의 굵기,권양의 소요 순마력등을 추산하는 식을 유도했다. 1.통발의 권양속도 v(m/sec)와 류휴저항(수중중량 포함)T(kg)사이에는 대체로 다음과 같은 관계가 성립한다. (a)빈통발을 직립으로 권양할 때: T=$48v^{1\cdot0}$ $45^\circ$ 경사지게 권양할 때: T=$50v^{1\cdot1}$ (단 $0.3\leqq v \leqq1.3$) 이고,이들 사이에 유의차는 없다. (b)밑면에 천을 깐 통발을 직립으로 권양할 때: T=$120^{1\cdot1}$ $45^\circ$ 경사지게 권양할 때: T=98v$^{1=cdot1}$ (단 $0.3\leqq v \leqq0.8$) 2.통발의 유류저항의 최대치를 T=$120v^{1\cdot1}$ (단 $0.3\leqq v \leqq0.8$)이라 보고, 모릿줄로써 P.P.3년 로우프를 쓴다면 d(mm)는 대략 $d=72\frac{D}{H}v^{1\cdot1}$ 을 만족시켜야 한다. 3.권양의 순마력 P(ps)는 $P=\frac{75}{120}\frac{D}{H}v^{2\cdot1}$ 이상일 것이 요구된다.

발돌재질에 따른 참조기유자망의 수중거동특성 (The behavior characteristics according to the quality of the sinkers of the yellow croaker drift gill net in the field)

  • As a series of studies about improvement of yellow croaker drift gill net fishing gear and development of the labor saving fishing system, this study analyzed the behavior characteristics of fishing gear, which does use three types of different sinker materials in the field tests. The result of maritime performance test indicated that the fishing gear which used the lead reached the maximum depth and bio ceramics hauled to the surface of water the fastest. The correlation between the sinking time (St) and depth (Dsl, Dsc, Dsb) of maritime performance test can be shown such experimental equations as Dsl=2.70St - 0.75, Dsc = 2.38St - 1.15, Dsb = 1.77St - 4.00. The correlation between the hauling time (Ht) and depth (Dhl, Dhc, Dhb) of maritime performance test can be shown such experimental equations as and Dhl = 7.88Ht + 35.48, Dhc = 7.80Ht + 40.01, Dhb = 7.95Ht + 36.44.

선망어업의 생산성 향상에 관한 연구 - 단선식 시험조업에 있어서 선망의 운동특성 - (Studies on the Improvement of the Productivity of the Purse Seine Fishery - The characteristics on the motion of purse seine in the experimental operation of one boat system -)

  • 선망어업의 생산성 향상에 관한 기초 연구로서 제주도 주변 해역어장(33$^{\circ}$37.8' N, 126$^{\circ}$31.1' E)에서 단선조업이 가능하도록 건조된 시험 조업선인 제주대학교 해양과학대학 실습선 아라호(990톤)를 사용하여 투망과 양망 등의 실험을 실시했다. 실험에 사용한 선망은 뜸줄의 길 829.1m, 발줄의 길이 995.7m이다. 초소형 메모리 계측기와 망심계, 장력계를 사용하여 그물 아랫자락의 수심과 선망의 장력을 측정하였으며, 측정한 자료를 이용하여 투망과 양망할 때의 그물어구의 운동특성과 장력특성을 해석하였는데, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 단선식 조업방법에 의해 실시한 시험조업에서 선망의 투망과 양망이 가능했다. 2. 선망을 투망할 때 그물 아랫자락의 침강수심(Dp)과 경과시간(Et)의 관계는 값의 설정범위에서 다음과 같은 실험식으로 나타낼 수 있다. Dp=7.58Et-6.48 3. 죔줄을 죌 때 그물 아랫자락의 침강수심과 경과 시간의 관계는 값의 설정 범위에서 다음과 같은 실험식으로 나타낼 수 있다. Dp=-0.8Et$^2$+7.42Et+92.04 4. 죔줄을 죌 때 선망의 장력은 경과시간 8분일 때 최대값(14.7톤)을 나타냈으며, 장력과 경과시간의 관계는 값의 설정범위에서 다음과 같은 실험식으로 나타낼 수 있다. T=-0.13Et$^2$+3.23Et-5.72

정치망에 대한 어군의 대망행동 (Behavior of Fish School to the Set-Net)

  • 우리나라 남해안의 거제도 도장포와 남해군 미조면에 설치되어 있는 수심 20m해역의 중형 정치망어구를 대상으로 길그물 및 통그물의 어군수도기능과 원통그물의 어군체유효과 등을 현장 실험을 통해 검토, 분석하였다. 어류에 Tag를 부착하고 통그물의 각부와 길그물의 주변에 방류 시켜 다음 양망과정에서 재포하였으며, 본 실험을 통해 얻은 결과를 요약해 보면, 다음과 같다. 1. 정치망의 헛통에서 방류하여 양쪽 원통 안으로 들어가 재포된 입망률은 소형 고등어가 20.3%, 소형 전갱이는 16.2%, 감성돔은 10.3%, 꼬치고기는 19.1%, 학공치는 16.3%, 전어는 20.0%였으며, 전체 방류미수 667마리 중에서 115마리로 17.2%였다. 2. 양쪽 원통에서 방류하여 다시 그 원통그물내에서 재포된 잔류율은 소형 고등어가 21.7%, 소형 전갱이는 21.5% 감성돔은 6.7%, 꼬치고기는 17.8% 학공치는 16.8% 전어는 19.1%를 나타냈으며, 전체 방류이수 1,513마리 중에서 284마리로 18.8%였다. 그리고 81.2%는 원통그물로부터 빠져나갔다. 3. 창문으로부터 25m거리의 길그물 양측 지점에서 방류하여 헛통으로 들어간 비율, 즉 길그물의 수도율은 소형 고등어가 58.9%, 소형 전갱이는 74.6%, 감성돔은 38.0%, 꼬치고기는 54.7% 학꽁치는 58.6%, 전어는 54.5%였으며, 총방류미수 1,086마리 중에서 627.4마리로 평균 57.8%를 나타내었다. 따라서 소형 고등어, 소형 전갱이, 꼬치고기, 학공치 및 전어는 길그물의 차단수도교과가 크게 작용하는 어종으로 나타났다. 4. 꼬치고기, 학공치, 전어는 조상측의 원통그물에 많이 입망되었고, 소형 전갱이와 감성돔은 조하측 원통그물에서 많이 입망되었다. 5. 소형 고등어와 소형 전갱이는 조하측 원통그물에서 잔류율이 높았고, 감성돔, 꼬치고기 및 학공치는 조상측 원통그물에서 잔류율이 높았다.
