Effect of Fine Copper Sulfides on the High Cycle Fatigue Properties of Bake Hardening Steels for Automotive (자동차용 소부경화형(BH) 강의 고주기 피로 특성에 미치는 미세 황화물의 영향)

  • Bake hardening steels have to resist strain aging to prevent the yield strength increment and stretcher strain during press process and to enhance the bake hardenability during baking process after painting. The bake hardening steels need to control the solute carbon and the solute nitrogen to improve the bake hardenability. Ti and/or Nb alloying for nitride and carbide precipitation and low carbon content below 0.003% are used to solve strain aging and formability problem for automotive materials. However, in the present study, the effect of micro-precipitation of copper sulfide on the bake hardenability and fatigue properties of extremely low carbon steel has been investigated. The bake hardenability of Cu-alloyed bake hardening (Cu-BH) steel was slightly higher (5 MPa) than that of Nb-alloyed bake hardening (Nb-BH) steel, but the fatigue limit of Cu-BH steel was far higher (45 MPa) than that of Nb-BH steel. All samples showed the ductile fracture behavior and some samples revealed distinct fatigue stages, such as crack initiation, stable crack growth and unstable crack growth.

  • This study is conducted on hardening leather with improved firmness and stability of shape, based on research on types and thickness of leather. The purpose of this study is to test the physical properties of the leather for molding to prepare the foundation for leather molding based on the test results using four methods by thickness of Vegetable and Split. The tests were conducted using a total of five leather types, including three types of vegetable leathers and two types of split, by thickness. Based on the testing method for leathers in KS M 6882, the tests were performed at 27℃ with relative humidity of 65±20%. The samples were prepared with cowhide, size 9cm× 2cm. The measurement parameters are length and width. thickness, volume, mass, density. Regarding the hardening treatment method, changes in appearance and major physical characteristics of leather were reviewed by soaking in hot water, dry heating, hammering, waxing, and olive oil coating. The study results are as follows. In planar works, it is judged that hardening work using a hammer is more suitable for stiffness or density in order to prevent easy breakage with adult muscle density, rather than boiling water or baking. In conclusion, there is no curling, soot, or breaking phenomenon, and the densest curing method is 50℃ for 20 sec of V2 and 75℃ for 60 sec of V2 in boiling water. The combination of paraffin treatment improve waterproof and quality.

  • The thermally stimulated currents (TSC) are measured to know the behaviour of charging particles of epoxy composites at the temperatures range -160~200[$^{\circ}C$] and to prove the various aspects due to hardening time in this study. It is composites at the narrower the magnititude of peak is and hardening time is a degradation from this.

  • The hardening test of gelatin with 2,4-dichloro-6-hydroxy-1,3,5-triazine mono sodium salt was studied at pH 5, 7, 8 and about increasing temperature, respectively. The hardener was prepared by the reaction of cyanuric chloride with sodium hydroxide, disodium hydrogenphosphate-12-water and trisodium phosphate-12-water in the presence of water. The product was identified by elemental analyzer. IR spectrophotometer. Novel hardener can be used in photographic emulsion and showed very good hardening effect.

  • As the major alumina source, domestic alunite was applied to synthesize the clinker for rapid hardening cement. The main minerals of the clinker were found to be C3S, C11A7-CaF2 and some C4AF by means of chemical treatment, x-ray diffraction analysis and microscopic observation. Rapid hardening cement was made of the clinker by adding suitable amount of hemi-hydrite and anhydrite. The setting time of the cement was regulated with citric acid as setter.

  • This paper proposes a monitoring method using an infrared temperature sensor in laser surface hardening process. To investigate the validity of the method a series of experiments are performed for various conditions. The experimental results show that the surface temperature depends upon the laser power, travelling speed and surface conditions of a specimen. Especially, the laser surface hardening process is greatly influenced by the surface conditions of the specimen, such as coating thickness and materials.

  • Computational procedure within the framework of return mapping technique has been presented to integrate the constitutive behavior of a concrete model. Developed by Ohtani and Chen, this concrete model is based on multiple hardening concept, and is rate-independent and associative. Consistent tangent operator suitable for finite element analysis is derived to preserve the rate of convergence. Accuracy of the integration technique is verified and compared with available experimental data. Computational efficiency is demonstrated by comparing with results based on elasto-plastic tangent.

  • Uniaxial necking is studied for steel sheets with initial anisotropy. The state of anisotropy is continuously altered by subsequent tensile deformation at angles to the rolling direction. The orientations of orthotropy axes are changed before the onset of necking. A simple hardening rule which incorporates the rotations of orthtropy axes is proposed and the necking strains are predicted at angles to the rolling direction. Predicted results show good agreement with the experiments.

  • 본 연구에서는 micro-hardening을 통한 고강도 고연성 전해동박을 제조하기 위해 Sn, Co, Zn 등의 원소 첨가량, 전류밀도, 전해액 온도, 첨가제 제어 등의 공정조건 변화에 따른 전해동박층의 표면 형상, 조성 및 전기전도도를 평가하였고, 인장강도와 연신율을 평가하였다.
