A Study on the Characteristics of Planning Factors to the Outdoor Space of the Olympic Village Munchen (뮌헨 올림픽마을의 외부공간계획 특징에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the characteristics of planning factors to the outdoor space of the olympic village munchen. The result of the research are follows; 1) The horizontal gardens of the low buildings and hanging gardens on the terraces of the high-rise buildings are intended as a continuation of the concept of the modelled landscape. 2) By virtue of the choice of the type of building and the way in which the buildings are staggered, the residents have an unimpaired view of the green spaces and recreation areas. 3) Leisure value is further enhanced by the proximity of the residential arms to the footpath running north to south. 4) The terraces allow the residents to enjoy more sun and sky, so that the view into the distance is the rule. 5) To improve orientation, the pedestrian paths to the residential wings are also situated directly over the underground vehicle-access roads.

An Experimental Study on Isolation System of Aerial Gas Pipeline for Vehicle Vibration (차량진동에 대한 노출가스관의 방진 시스템 개발을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • In this paper, aerials gas pipeline vibrations due to the passing of vehicles have been measured, and peak values and characteristics of vibration were analyzed. In order to develop isolation system for gas pipeline, six cases with various support condition and hanging method were tested. The hanger used instead of wore rope isolated almost all vibrations transmitted from main beam. In the results of test, we could decrease response of vibration velocity from 49 % to 56 % and response of vertical vibration acceleration from 49 % to 60 %, because hanger instead of wire rope was used and rubber pads instead of wooden shield plates at support positions for Proofing horizontal vibration were used.

  • Germainium(IV) was determined in perchloate supporting electrolyte solution containing phenylfluorone by hanging mercury drop electrode(HMDE) of Linear Sweep Voltammetry(LSV) and in hydrochloric acid solution by UV-VIS Spectrophotometry. The complex germanium(IV) with phenylfluorone was shown linear calibration curve in the range of $2.5{\sim}80{\mu}g/L$ by LSV and in the range of $10{\sim}300{\mu}g/L$ by UV-VIS Spectrophotometry.

  • Germanium(IV) was determinated in perchloric acid supporting electrolyte solution containing catechol derivates 3.4-dihydroxy benzoic acid, 3.4-dihydroxy benzaldehyde, adrenaline by hanging mercury electrode(HMDE) of anodic stripping polarography. And then to apply this experimental method for determination of germanium(IV) in natural samples. Germanium(IV) was determinated $300{\mu}g/L$ in ginseng and $210{\mu}g/L$ in mineral water.

  • The combustion characteristics of binary component single droplets hanging at the tip of a quartz fiber are studied experimentally at different environmental pressures and temperatures under normal gravity. Normal Heptane and Normal Hexadecane are selected as two fuels with high difference in boiling temperatures. A falling electrical furnace in a high pressure vessel has provided high temperature environment. Nitrogen and air have formed the environment to study evaporation and combustion, respectively. The initial diameter of droplet was ranging from 1.1 to 1.3 mm. The evaporation and combustion processes were recorded by a high speed digital camera. Some characteristics of droplet burning under different environment conditions and different droplet composition have been investigated. Microexplosion of droplet take places under atmospheric pressure. Bubble formation and its consequent result, incomplete droplet disintegration which presents in all binary compositions, do not appear at high pressure. The initiation of combustion, always takes place in the bottom of droplet due to buoyancy effect of relatively cold fuel vapor. Also, the burning of binary droplet produces soot when the pressure is high.

  • This study aims to indicate fundamental problems and also to supply basic data for the reasonable distribution of the educational facilities in an effort to build better educational environments by examining and analyzing their changing process in primary and secondary schools in accordance with the changes in school year system in the period between 1900 to 1993. The following conclusion can be drawn : a. Separation of Middle and high schools due to the change of the school year system in 1951 into 6 - 3 - 3 - 4, has had great influence upon the arrangement of the educational facilities. b. Educational facilities in primary and secondary school are expanding, but they do not meet the criterion on an appropriate scale. Especially educational facilities of high schools need to be extended.

  • Arc sensor gives important groove information during welding. Automatic seam tracking control system with arc sensor has significant characteristics such that bead formation is given as decentralization of penetration and formation of concave bead profile and that a turning point of transverse weaving with constant arc length control is decided whether or not torch height reaches to a specified setting level. Furthermore, the rotating action of the arc prevents hanging of weld bead and forms flat bead surface under high speed welding condition. The variation of groove and deposition area can be detected from the trace of weaving. The area and width of weaving trace has close correlation with the area of groove and deposition.   • The oscillation of a crane system is divided into the oscillation of container in respect of its trolley and the oscillation of trolley in relation to the whole crane system. We introduce a new type of crane system that avoids to the irreducible sway of crane system caused by hanging cables. The cables suspending the spreader are replaced by using an "anti-sway system". The proposed system is composed of mechanical arms with function of anti-sway based on conventional line system. The effectiveness of the proposed new type crane system and the controller is shown through the simulation results.

  • In the present study, we propose a virtual boundary method for simulation of massive inextensible flexible strings immersed in viscous fluid flow. The fluid motion is governed by the Navier-Stokes equations and a momentum forcing is added in order to bring the fluid to move at the same velocity with the immersed surface. A massive inextensible flexible string model is described by another set of equations with an additional momentum forcing which is a result of the fluid viscosity and the pressure difference across the string. The momentum forcing is calculated by a feedback loop. Simulations of several numerical examples are carried out, inlcuding a hanging string which starts moving under gravity without ambient fluid, a string swimming within a uniform flow and a uniform flow over two side-by side strings. The numerical results agree well with the theoretical analysis and previous experimental observations. Preliminary results of a swimming elongated fishlike body will also be presented.

  • Dynamic oscillation motion of a pendant drop has been Investigated experimentally when acoustic wave is applied. This problem is of particular interest in the understanding of transport phenomena, accompanied by liquid drop. In this experiment, pendant drop was made to oscillate by inducing the acoustic wave and the subsequent drop motion was recorded by a high-speed camera. The results obtained indicate that liquid drop hanging on the flat surface has resonant frequencies on each shape oscillation modes. It is also found that exists the swing mode of oscillation on the pendant drop.
