매염제 처리가 대나무잎과 솔잎 추출물로 염색한 직물의 물성 및 태에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Mordant on the Mechanical Properties and Primary Hand Values of Fabrics Dyed with Bamboo and Pine Leaf Extracts)

  • This research categorizes fundamental data needed to develop eco-friendly fabrics treated with bamboo leaf & pine leaf extracts. The effect of mordant on those fabrics was analyzed through the measurement of mechanical properties and the estimation of primary hand values for cotton and silk fabrics dyed with bamboo leaf and pine leaf extracts that were later treated with various mordants. When cotton was dyed with bamboo leaves and pine leaves extracts, EM, WT, 2HB, 2HG, 2HG5, LC, T, and W increased however, RT, SMD, and RC decreased compared to raw cotton fabric. The B, G, and MIU increased after mordant treatment to the dyed cotton and resulted in a stiffer and rougher cotton's hand. EM, WT, RT, MIU, WC, T, and W increased (in terms of silk); however, LT, B, 2HB, G, 2HG, 2HG5, MMD, SMD, and LC decreased compared to raw silk fabric. Similar to the dyed cotton, mordant treatment increased the MIU and LC of dyed silk subsequently, the hand became stiffer and rougher. A greater tannin adsorption results in an increased mechanical property and the primary hand value. For both fabrics, mordant treatment made its smoothness drop. However, the scale of drop for cotton was significant, while the scale of the drop for silk was minor. In terms of type of mordant, femordant and natural-mordant treatment influenced the tensile, shear, surface properties of fabrics, and primary hand values more than Cu-mordant and synthetic-mordant in addition, this increased the stiffness, hardness, and roughness of fabrics.

군인의 손 씻기 지식, 태도 및 실천 조사 - KAP 모형을 중심으로 (Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) of Hand Washing for soldiers)

  • 본 연구는 군인들의 손 씻기 실태와 지식, 태도 및 실천 정도를 조사해 보고 상호 관련성과 영향요인을 파악하여 군대에서의 손 씻기 및 보건 교육의 기초자료를 제공하기 위함이다. 이를 위하여 병사 420명을 대상으로 설문지를 활용한 조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 R과 SAS를 이용하였으며 베타회귀모형을 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 손 씻기 지식과 태도 및 실천은 각각 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계가 존재하였고 손 씻기 교육이수 정도는 지식, 태도, 실천에 효과가 없는 것으로 분석되었으나 관련 홍보물 노출 정도는 지식, 태도, 실천에 유의한 효과가 있었다. 따라서 군인의 손 씻기 실천을 증진시키기 위해서는 홍보물의 지속적인 노출이 보건 교육보다 효과적이며, 홍보물에 반복적으로 노출됨으로써 손 씻기 지식, 태도, 실천에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 받을 수 있을 것이라 사료된다.

면직물의 위사밀도 변화에 따른 역학특성 및 태 (The Mechanical Properties and Hand of Cotton Fabrics with the Variation of Weft Density)

  • 본 연구는 직물구조인자인 위사밀도와 직물의 조직을 변화시켜 시직한 면직물을 이용하여 역학특성 및 태의 변화를 KES-FB System을 이용하여 측정하였다. 그 결과 위사밀도가 증가할수록 굽힘특성 및 전단특성이 증가하는 것으로 나타났고, 위사밀도의 변화에 따른 역학특성치 중 굽힘 및 전단특성의 값은 평직이 높게 나타났으며, 인장특성, 압축특성 그리고 표면특성의 값은 조직 및 밀도에 크게 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 위사밀도 변화에 따른 의복착용성능 중 WC/T, MMD/SMD를 제외한 B/W 및 2HG/G, 2HB/B, 2HB/W, W/T, 그리고 WC/W는 위사밀도에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 위사방향의 직축은 굽힘특성, 전단특성, 압축회복도(RC), 표면거칠기(SMD), 태와 의복착용성능에 높은 상관을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 Tightness는 굽힘특성, 전단특성, 압축특성 그리고 표면 마찰계수와 높은 상관을 보였고, 기본태 및 T.H.V., 의복착용성능에도 높은 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

냉·온수적용이 편마비환자의 손기민성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Hot and Cold Water for The Hand Dexterity on Patients with Hemiplegia)

  • Background : This study was to investigate effect of hot and cold water for the hand dexterity. Methods : A total of 37 subjects having hemiplegia(men=6, women=11) and normal(men=10, women=10) were participated in this study. After both hands was soaked in the small tube for 1 minute, we measured 'making dots in circles(BOTMP)', 'lifting small objects(JHFT)', 'disk turning(MMDT)' test. Results : In the case of normal's dominant hand, there were statistically significant differences in all tests after soaked in the hot water but there were statistically significant differences in 'disk turning' test after soaked in the cold water. In the case of hemiplegia's unaffected hand, there were statistically significant differences in 'disk turning' test after soaked in the hot water but there were statistically significant differences in 'making dots in circles', 'disk turning' test after soaked in the cold water. In the case of hemiplegia's affected hand, there were statistically significant differences in 'lifting small objects', 'disk turning' test after soaked in the hot water but there were statistically significant differences in 'making dots in circles', 'disk turning' test after soaked in the cold water. Conclusion : The hot and cold water were affected in the hand dexterity. Especially, in the case of both normal and hemiplegia, there were statistically significant differences in 'disk turning' test after soaked in the cold and hot water. Therefore, We were founded that affected in gross movement than fine movement.

벨트형 손소독제 활용의 효과 평가: 임상간호사의 손소독 수행 정도와 만족도를 중심으로 (The Evaluation of Effectiveness of Belt-type Hand Sanitizers in Clinical Nurses: Focusing on the performance of hand disinfection and the satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 임상간호사들의 벨트형 손소독제 활용에 대한 손소독 수행정도와 수행률, 손소독제 사용 만족도에 대한 효과를 파악하고자 수행된 연구이다. 연구수행을 위해 단일군 전후 유사실험 설계를 이용하였으며, 벨트형 손소독제 활용에 대한 효과평가는 손소독 수행 정도, 손소독 수행률, 손소독제 사용에 대한 만족도로 자가보고형 설문지를 이용하여 측정하였다. 연구 대상자는 일 지역의 종합병원 병동의 임상간호사 50명을 대상으로 하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 벨트형 손소독제 사용 후의 손소독 수행 정도, 손소독 수행률, 손소독제 사용 만족도가 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 벨트형 손소독제는 손소독 수행정도와 손소독 수행률을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과적인 방법임을 확인하였다. 따라서 임상실무에서 벨트형 손소독제를 활용한다면, 손소독 수행 정도와 수행률 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

어린이집 유아 손의 미생물학적 위해 평가 및 손 씻기 교육의 효과 (Prevalence of Microbiological Hazard on Nursery School Children's Hands and Effect of Hand Washing Education)

  • 어린이집 유아 손의 미생물 오염도를 분석하고 손 씻기 교육의 미생물 저감화 효과를 실험하여 어린이집 유아 손의 위생 안전성을 확보하고자 어린이집 유아 59명을 대상으로 실험하였다. 일반세균수의 경우 평균 $3.72{\pm}0.38log\;CFU/hand$로 검출되었고, 위생지표미생물인 대장균군의 경우 남자어린이 18명 중 2명(11.1%)과 여자어린이 17명 중 3명(17.6%), 총 35명 중 5명(14.3%)에서 검출되어 어린이들에 대한 반복적인 손 씻기 지도가 필요한 것으로 판단되었다. $Staph.$ $aureus$는 35명 중 9명(25.7%), $B.$ $cereus$는 35명 중 16명(45.7%)에서 검출되었고 남자어린이의 손이 식중독 미생물 오염에 가장 취약한 것으로 나타났다. $Staph.$ $aureus$ 장독소는 9균주 중 $Staph.$ $aureus$ Hand-1 한 균주에서만 SEA 장독소가 검출되었으나 HBL과 NHE 장독소 중 한 가지 이상의 장독소를 생산하는 $B.$ $cereus$는 총 12균주(70.0%)로 나타나 어린이 손에 의한 교차오염 위험성이 상존한다고 판단되었다. 손 씻기 교육의 미생물 저감화 효과를 실험한 결과 교육을 실시한 그룹이 0.18 log CFU/hand 일반세균수가 더 저감화가 되었으나 저감화 정도가 매우 미약하여 손에 부착되어 있는 세균을 완전히 제거하기 위해서는 손 씻기와 손 소독을 병행하며 지속적인 손 씻기 교육을 실시하여야할 것으로 판단되었다.

The Association Between Occupational Exposure to Hand-Arm Vibration and Hearing Loss: A Systematic Literature Review

  • Background: Hearing loss is one of the most prevalent worker health conditions worldwide. Although the effect of noise exposure on hearing is well researched, other workplace exposures may account for significant hearing loss. The aim of this review was to determine whether occupational hand-arm vibration exposure through use of power or pneumatic tools, independent of noise exposure, is associated with permanent hearing loss. Do workers suffer from hand-arm vibratione-induced hearing loss? Methods: Peer-reviewed articles published in English between 1981 and 2020 were identified through five online databases with five search keywords. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses guidelines, including online database search methodology, study selection, article exclusion, and assessment of potential study design confounders and biases, were followed. Results: Database searches retrieved 697 articles. Fifteen articles that reported 17 studies met the criteria for review. All but two studies revealed statistically significant associations between occupational exposure to hand-arm vibration and hearing loss. The majority of the study results revealed associations between hand-arm vibration and hearing loss, independent of potential age and noise confounders. Conclusion: Few studies have examined the association between occupational exposure to hand-arm vibration and hearing loss. Dose response data were limited as only one study measured vibration intensity and duration. Although the majority of studies identified statistically significant associations, causal relationships could not be determined. Further research using standardized and uniform measurement protocols is needed to confirm whether the association between occupational exposure to hand-arm vibration and permanent hearing loss is causal and the mechanism(s).

디지털감각지각훈련프로그램이 발달장애 아동의 손기능과 시각-운동 통합 능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Digital Sensory Perceptual Training on Hand Function and Visual-Motor Integration in Children with Developmental Disabilities)

  • Purpose : This study examined the hand function and visual motor integration capabilities in 30 children with developmental disabilities. The children were divided into an experimental group (n=20) that received digital sensory perception training and a control group (n=10) that did not receive this training. Methods : Training was conducted a total of 12 times for six weeks, for 50 minutes a day, twice a week, for the experimental group. The Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test was used to determine the hand function before and after the intervention, and the Beery VMI-6 was performed to identify the visual motor integration capability. Results :After the intervention, the ability to perform hand functions and visual motor interaction increased significantly in the experimental group but not in the control group. Digital sensory training therefore had a positive effect on the hand function and visual motor integration in children with developmental disabilities. Conclusion : A digital sensory perception training program is an arbitration method that can positively improve the hand function and visual motor integration ability in children with developmental disabilities.

The Effect of Paraffin Treatment with Exercise on Muscle Strength and Fatigue of the Hand According to the Use of Smartphone

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of a paraffin treatment with exercise on the muscle strength and fatigue of the hand according to the use of smartphones. Methods: The measurement subjects were 30 healthy males in their 20s who were divided randomly into the control and paraffin treatment groups. A typing exercise using a smartphone was performed. The pinch grip force was measured to evaluate the muscle strength of the thumb, and muscle fatigue analysis using electromyography was performed to analyze muscle fatigue. Results: The functional changes to the arm and the fatigue of the hand through the use of a smartphone were examined to determine the effects of the paraffin treatment. The dominant hand-pinch grip force test did not show a significant difference, but the non-dominant hand-pinch grip force test showed a significant difference between the groups (p=0.030). In the dominant hand fatigue test, there was a significant difference between the groups (p=0.037). In the non-dominant hand, there was a significant difference between time (p=0.012) and the groups (p<0.001). Conclusion: The effects of paraffin intervention on the hand muscle strength and fatigue due to repeated use of the smartphone were confirmed. These results can be used as a basis for clinical use and can be a guide for the correct use of smartphones, which are essential in modern life.

The Influence of Hand Muscle Fatigue and Fatigue Recovery on Joint Position Sense in Healthy Subjects

  • Purpose: The first purpose of this study was to evaluate whether hand muscle fatigue alters sensorimotor control of the hand in healthy subjects, using hand position sense. The second objective was to assess the repositioning variables during a 7.5-min period after the fatigue protocol. Methods: Participants performed a repeated handgrip movement to induce the fatigue condition as fast as possible, until they could no longer continue. Recordings were performed before (pre-fatigue) and after the completion of the fatigue exercises (immediately: post-fatigue, after a 2.5 min recovery, after a 5 min recovery and after a 7.5 min recovery). Results: The joint reposition test of the MP joint in the post-fatigue condition showed higher reposition errors than the prefatigue condition (p<0.05). Additionally, there was a significant difference in recovery of joint reposition errors after fatiguing exercises of the hand muscle, among groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: The fatigue of the hand muscles affected joint position sense by an alteration of somatosensory and proprioceptive information. Nonetheless, the effect of hand muscle fatigue was short-lived, since joint reposition errors decreased to post-fatigue values after 7.5 min of recovery.
