This paper investigates stage acoustics in concert halls for ensemble performance in terms of stage support parameters. A concert hall with large stage area was selected. Objective measurements were carried out according to Gade's methods for investigating stage support (ST1). The sound field on the stage was evaluated using stage and audience acoustical parameters. According to the positions at stage, different acoustical characteristics were found. Higher ST1 and lower $IACC_{E3}$ were measured near side and rear stage walls. In case of conductor/soloist vs. orchestra player, objective measurement of acoustical parameters shows that early sound fields depend on the source-receiver distance but late sound fields depend on the location of side and rear walls. In addition, in-situ evaluation of the trio instrumentalists was carried out. Results show that ensemble is favored by higher early reflection of sounds and sound diffusion affecting ‘blending’ of their performance.
The complex modal testing methods developed for asymmetric rotors are briefly discussed and their performances are experimentally evaluated. For the experiments, a laboratory test rotor is excited by using a newly developed, cost effective magnetic exciter equipped with Hall sensors, which measure the excitation forces. It is concluded that the exciter system is characterized by a wide bandwidth and a high resolution for both the excitation and force measurement, and that the one-exciter/two-sensor technique for complex modal testing of asymmetric rotors is superior to the standard two-exciter/two-sensor technique in terms of practicality and realization.

Oxide/metal/oxide (OMO) thin films were fabricated using amorphous indium-gallium-zinc-oxide (a-IGZO) and an Ag metal layer on a glass substrate at room temperature. The optical and electrical properties of the a-IGZO/Ag/a-IGZO samples changed systemically depending on the thickness of the Ag layer. The transmittance in the visible range tends to decrease as the Ag thickness increases while the resistivity, carrier concentration, and Hall mobility tend to improve. The a-IGZO/Ag (13 nm)/a-IGZO thin film with the optimum Ag thickness showed an average transmittance (Tav) of 71.7%, resistivity of 6.63 × 10−5 Ω·cm and Hall mobility of 15.22 cm2V−1s−1.

Generally, reaction wheels or thrusters are used for attitude control of a satellite. There is a potential method for the attitude control utilizing the plasma flow on the Low Earth Orbit. In the present study, experiments which simulate attitude control of a Low Earth Orbit Satellite using the ionosphere were conducted. In this experiment, a plasma flow was generated by a steady-state Hall type accelerator. However it is known that the Hall type accelerator, which is used as plasma source, produces a torque around its axis called "swirl torque". This torque would affect the attitude control in the above-mentioned experiments. First of all, we conducted the measurement of the swirl torque. Secondly, experiments using a satellite model with negative electrodes were conducted. The negative electrodes generated torque around the axis, and controlled the attitude of the satellite model by changing the applied voltage.

Phase currents should be measured in real time for vector control of a 2-phase induction motor. Generally, the phase currents of the motor are measured using two Hall current sensors installed at the output terminal of an inverter. Unfortunately, Hall current sensors are expensive and uneconomical because a vector-controlled inverter for 2-phase induction motor is mainly used in low-power and low-price applications. This paper proposes a low-cost current measurement method using two shunt resistors instead of expensive Hall current sensors. The proposed method can measure the phase currents under all operating conditions of the motor. This method was applied to an experimental vector-controlled inverter for 2-phase induction motor of 220[V]/360[W] and was verified through computer simulations and experimentation.

Recently, usage of electric and electronic system for car increases rapidly. Consequently power monitoring supplied to the system is essential for management and controlling. Generally, battery status is monitored through measuring and diagnosing the current measurement method utilizing Hall Effect. Therefore, in this paper, we analysed magnetic field to develop the solution of DC current sensor using Hall Effect which is the core of design and development. By analysing the magnetic field by FEM using Maxwell 3D software, the location of the highest output current and stable part in the Hall IC sensor was shown. Also, the optimal core design of DC current sensor using parametric and Simplex method was presented. A car battery charge and discharge process dependant on time effect on the changing of magnetic field was simulated and compared to the result from the experiment result of actual vehicle.
The purposes of this study are to investigate the dimensions of the sensibility towards a spatial environment perceived by the general public and to present the characteristics of various spaces through empirical analyses. A set of words are selected to describe visitors' perception of a spatial environment based on previous studies, and then they are arranged according to the degree of understanding and suitability. The results of the survey on the sensibility measurement can be summarized as follows: Factor analyses and cluster analyses are conducted on the indicators measuring the general public's perception of the exhibition hall of the Deoksugung Museum, and the following five dimensions are obtained: spatial value, spatial aesthetic, spatial affinity, spatial freshness, and spatial materials. The satisfaction level of visitors regarding the space of the exhibition hall under study is also investigated. A regression analysis is conducted to find a relationship between the satisfaction level of visitors (DV) and the five dimensions (IVs), and the analysis shows that there is a significant relationship. Among the five factors, the 'Spacial Value' and 'Spacial Affinity' are found to Significantly affect visitors' satisfaction. The results of this empirical study show that visitors' affinity towards the exhibition hall of the Deoksugung Art Museum along with the surrounding garden, as well as visitors' appreciation of the social, historical, and cultural value of Deoksugung Palace, are found to greatly affect visitors' overall satisfaction with the spatial environment of the museum.
The objectives of this study is to classify evacuation types, derive the characteristics of 4 types, develop and discover evacuation routes within the performance hall space, and present the statistical classification results of the evacuation classification model by classification type. To achieve this purpose, the characteristics of each evacuation type's four types are applied through a network reliability analysis method and utilized for institutional improvement and policy. This study applies for the building law, evacuation and relief safety standards when establishing a performance hall safety management plan, and reflects it in safety-related laws, safety standards, and policy systems. Statistical data by evacuation type were analyzed, and measurement characteristics were compared and analyzed by evacuation types. Evaluate the morphological similarity and reliability of evacuation types according to door width and passage length and propose the install position of evacuation guidance sign boards. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data to provide operation strategies for safety facility evacuation information sign boards according to evacuation route classification types when taking a safety management plan. The operation strategy for the evacuation sign boards installation that integrates employee guidance and safety training is applied to the performance hall safety management plan. It will contribute to establishing an operational strategy for performance space safety when constructing performance facilities in the future.

We developed the technologies of wuperlattice and HEMT structures grown by MOCVD, and their characterization. In the case of GaAs/AlGaAs superlattice, the periodicity, interface abruptness and Al compositional uniformity were confirmed through the shallow angle lapping technique and double crystal x-ray measurement. Photoluminesence spectra due to quantum size effect of isolated quantum wells were also observed. The heterojunction abruptness was estimated to be within 1 monolayer fluctuation by the analysis of the relation between PL FWHM(Full Width at Half Maximum) and well width. HEMT structure was successfully grown by MOCVD. The 2 dimensional electron gas formation at heterointerface in HEMT structure were evidenced through the C-V profile, SdH (Shubnikov-de Haas)oscillation and low temperature Hall measurement. Low field mobility were as high as $69,000cm^2/v.sec$ for a sheet carrier density of $5.5{\times}10^{11}cm^-2$ at 15K, and $41,200cm^2/v.sec$ for a sheet carrier density of $6.6{\times}10^{11}cm^-2$ at 77K. In addition, well defined SdH oscillation and quantized Hall plateaues were observed.
A current sensor is one of important component which is used for the electrical current measurement during charge and discharge of the battery, and monitoring system of the motor controller in the electric and hybrid vehicle. In this study, we have developed an open loop type current sensor using GaAs Hall sensor and magnetic core has an air gap. The Hall sensor detect magnetic field produced by the current to be measured. The 3 mm air gap core was made by HGO electrical steel sheets after slitting, winding, annealing, molding, and cutting. Developed current sensor shows 0.03 % linearity within DC current range from -400 A to +400 A. Operating temperature range was extended to the range of $-40{\sim}105^{\circ}C$ using temperature compensating electronic circuit. To Improve frequency bandwidth limit due to the air flux of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and Hall sensor, We employed an air flux compensating loop near Hall sensor or on PCB. Frequency bandwidth of the sensor was 100 kHz when we applied sine wave current of $40A{\cdot}turn$ in the frequency range from 100 Hz to 100 kHz. For the dynamic response time measurement, 5 kHz square wave current of $40A{\cdot}turn$ was applied to the sensor. Response time was calculated time reach to 90 % of saturation value and smaller than $2{\mu}s$.
