  • Side-channel analysis (SCA) is a cryptanalytic technique that exploits physical leakages, such as power consumption or electromagnetic emanations, from cryptographic devices to extract secret keys used in cryptographic algorithms. Recent studies have shown that training SCA models with semi-supervised learning can effectively overcome the problem of few labeled power traces. However, the process of training SCA models using semi-supervised learning generates many pseudo-labels. The performance of the SCA model can be reduced by some of these pseudo-labels. To solve this issue, we propose the HWFilter method to improve semi-supervised SCA. This method uses a Hamming Weight Pseudo-label Filter (HWPF) to filter the pseudo-labels generated by the semi-supervised SCA model, which enhances the model's performance. Furthermore, we introduce a normal distribution method for constructing the HWPF. In the normal distribution method, the Hamming weights (HWs) of power traces can be obtained from the normal distribution of power points. These HWs are filtered and combined into a HWPF. The HWFilter was tested using the ASCADv1 database and the AES_HD dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that the HWFilter method can significantly enhance the performance of semi-supervised SCA models. In the ASCADv1 database, the model with HWFilter requires only 33 power traces to recover the key. In the AES_HD dataset, the model with HWFilter outperforms the current best semi-supervised SCA model by 12%.

  • A Hybrid Wall System(HWS) building, Kolon Bundang Tripolis was instrumented to measure the vertical deformation of core-walls and columns. The vertical shortening of individual members were measured at selected floor levels such as 1F, 12F, 25F, and 34F. The measurement has been taken during one year after the construction was started. Together with the measurement, concrete property tests were performed in the laboratory using the concrete obtained in the field. The measured vertical shortenings were compared with the calculated prediction values and the satisfactory agreement was obtained.

  • Background: The coverage of breast and cervical cancer screening has only slightly increased in the past decade in Thailand, and these cancers remain leading causes of death among women. This study identified socioeconomic and contextual factors contributing to the variation in screening uptake and coverage. Materials and Methods: Secondary data from two nationally representative household surveys, the Health and Welfare Survey (HWS) 2007 and the Reproductive Health Survey (RHS) 2009 conducted by the National Statistical Office were used. The study samples comprised 26,951 women aged 30-59 in the 2009 RHS, and 14,619 women aged 35 years and older in the 2007 HWS were analyzed. Households of women were grouped into wealth quintiles, by asset index derived from Principal components analysis. Descriptive and logistic regression analyses were performed. Results: Screening rates for cervical and breast cancers increased between 2007 and 2009. Education and health insurance coverage including wealth were factors contributing to screening uptake. Lower or non-educated and poor women had lower uptake of screenings, as were young, unmarried, and non-Buddhist women. Coverage of the Civil Servant Medical Benefit Scheme increased the propensity of having both screenings, while the universal coverage scheme increased the probability of cervical screening among the poor. Lack of awareness and knowledge contributed to non-use of both screenings. Women were put off from screening, especially Muslim women on cervical screening, because of embarrassment, fear of pain and other reasons. Conclusions: Although cervical screening is covered by the benefit package of three main public health insurance schemes, free of charge to all eligible women, the low coverage of cervical screening should be addressed by increasing awareness and strengthening the supply side. As mammography was not cost effective and not covered by any scheme, awareness and practice of breast self examination and effective clinical breast examination are recommended. Removal of cultural barriers is essential.

  • Underreporting patterns by the level of obesity have not been fully assessed yet. The purpose of this study was to examine the differential underreporting patterns on cardiovascular risk factor, macronutrient, and food group intakes by the level of Body Mass Index (BMI). We analyzed cross-sectional baseline nutritional survey data from the population-based longitudinal study, the Healthy Women Study (HWS) cohort. Study subjects included 538 healthy premenopausal women participating in the HWS. Nutrient and food group intakes were assessed by the one-day 24-hour dietary recall and a semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire, respectively. The ratio of reported energy intake (EI) to estimated basal metabolic rate (BMR) was used as a measure of relative energy reporting status and categorized into tertiles. Overweight group ($BMI{\geq}25kg/m^2$) had a higher ratio of EI to BMR (EI/BMR) than normal weight group ($BMI<25kg/m^2$). Normal weight and overweight groups showed similar patterns in cardiovascular risk factors, nutrient intake, and food group intake by the EI/BMR. Fat and saturated fat intakes as a nutrient density were positively associated with the EI/BMR. Proportion of women who reported higher consumption (${\geq}4\;times/wk$) of sugar/candy, cream and red meat groups was greater in higher tertiles of the EI/BMR in both BMI groups. Our findings suggest similar patterns of underreporting of cardiovascular risk factors, and macronutrient and food group intakes in both normal and overweight women.

  • The papermaking process for a reconstituted tobacco sheet (RECON) has been preferred more because of the various merits such as a wide range of Recon products with better quality. The screw press is one of the very important process in RECON making process which divides the mixed raw materials into the soluble material and the insoluble material and could greatly affect the productivity and product quality. In this study, the characteristics of the screw press process in a Recon making mill were evaluated for two different RECON products. Three different efficiency index were proposed for the more detailed analysis of the screw press process. The result showed that the difference in the raw material might result in the difference in the efficiency and the properties of the extracts and the filter cake, especially in the HWS. The washing technique which applied in this experiment showed the amount of residual HWS in the fiber portion were not much changed by the each steps of the screw press.

  • There are fifteen solar radiation measurement stations over the entire country in Korea. However, they are not capable of supplying reliable solar radiation data for remote areas including islands. The un-manned automated insolation measurement station is suitable for these areas due to the electric power shortage and the maintenance problems at these isolated areas. Our main aim in this work is to develop a solar radiation measurement system which collects and stores data by itself utilizing a PV module and a battery as power source for entire system irregardless of the environmental condition. A developed KIER's prototype system along with an independent HWS reference system has been installed at the designated remote island, Dok-do. Global solar radiation has been measured every hour for a 6-month period of time by both systems at this site. A comparison between the measured solar radiation data by each system indicates that there is an excellent agreement showing average 3.0% of an absolute error. It has been observed that the 8-month average global solar radiation was $2,330W/m^2$ day at this island. We came to the conservative conclusion that the developed KIER system is applicable for measuring solar radiation and for supplying reliable fundamental design data for solar energy utilization system at the remote areas.

  • Recently, it has been sharply increased the interests to detect the network traffic anomalies to help protect the computer network from unknown attacks. In this paper, we propose a new anomaly detection scheme using the simple linear regression analysis for the exported LetFlow data, such as bits per second and flows per second, from a border router at a campus network. In order to verify the proposed scheme, we apply it to a real campus network and compare the results with the Holt-Winters seasonal algorithm. In particular, we integrate it into the RRDtooi for detecting the anomalies in real time.

  • In this paper, the technology of the conformance test for Broadcast Web Site Service (BWS) which is one of the data services of the T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) is proposed. First, the standard of the BWS Service is introduced and then the method of the conformance test of BWS bitstream and BWS receiver module is provided. A BWS bitstream analyzer is implemented for use in verifying the transmitted BWS bitstreams. To provide a means for the receiver manufactures to verify their own BWS receiver modules, a receiver test suite is developed including BWS test bitstreams and a BWS reference receiver module. The BWS bitstream analyzer includes the analysis function for the conformance test of MOT protocol, HTML, PNG, MNG, JPEG, and Ecma Script. Also, it was actually used for verifying the BWS test bitstreams. In the course of developing a HWS receiver module, 4he BWS receiver module under test can be verified by comparing the results of the BWS reference receiver module with those of the receiver module under test. when the same BWS test bitstreams are fed into the two receiver modules.
