There are a lot of thoughts and ideas for home, family and household in China. These thoughts and ideas hand down to posterity through classics. But, Home Economics in China doesn't have been condition of development. Home Economics in China regularly began to develop from the department of Home Science in a Women's College in SangHae. Talking this opportunity, there were departments of Home Science in many universities and colleges 1919 to 1930. But, the studies of Home Economics was discontinue by The Revolution of Culture. In that time, Home Economics was considered as a false science. In 1979, Home Economics in China began again after enforcement of the Innovation and The Open Door Policy. But up to the present it isn't systematically made up of the studies and the scientific papers of Home Economics. The department of Home Economics is only one in the College of Gillim-Agriculture. But, the objects of study in Home Economics include not only women but also men in China. Also, Home Economics in China is started first in Socialism Countries.

This paper is a review of articles selected from Journal of Home economics (1973~1979) with the purpose of studying new direction of home economics in america. Regarding the future of home economics in America. Regarding the future of home economics, the following points were important : 1) Top priorities for future directions in home economics were developed at the 11th Lake Placid Conference and published in "Home Economics New Directions 11" (May 1975). 2) A new definition of home economics by University of Arizona students described the uniqueness of home economics clearly, and in easily understandable terms. 3) A human ecosystem model which depicts human beings existing I interaction with the total environment was found to be a new approch to the concept of home economics. 4) A proposal was made for offering home economics courses to students in professional human service fields. Some of the problems of home economics which need to be solved: 1) The emphasis on specialization in a major field has made home economics just a collection of specialities. 2) The change of the designation "home economics" to other lables by some institutions has brought confusion. 3) Inadequate supply of competent faculty is the cause of inactive home economics research. 4) Teaching sex defined roles is outdated. The above findings give insights to Korean home economics which is faced with a variety of problems in a rapidly changing society.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop and to analyze the task of hospital based home care nurse practitioners in Korea. Method: The definition of home care nurse practitioners and job description was developed based on developing a curriculum(DACUM) by 7 panels who have experienced in home care nursing. One hundred fifty four nurses who were working at hospital based on home care were participated. Result: Fourteen kinds of duties were identified : the selection of home care patients; basic home care nursing; advanced home care nursing; patient/family education and counseling; medical decision making and coordination of patient service; management of home care supplies and drugs for patients; management of medical records; management of home care the agency; management of home care personnel; management of the home care supplies for agency; home care public relations; improvement of home care quality; management of long-term care service; and self-improvement. Ninety-six tasks were classified. Conclusion: The abilities for quality improvement and the advanced nursing practice of home care nurses should be empowered.

In a rapidly changing Korean society, the role of home economics in ideological education and practical professionalism is faced to be reset. In this article the author reviews home economics and career opportunities. the following issues were discussed in detail : 1. Home Economics and Occupation ; a) As professionals in the field of home economics, job applicants must carry their message in person to potential employers. Employers must be taught that persons with home economics degrees have the capabilities and qualifications to fill a variety of positions. b) In may of 1977, Vocational Education Coalition was established by American Home economics association (AHEA), American Vocational Association, and Home Economics Education association This coalition defined the vocational education as occupation of homemaking and paid employment in home economics occupations for women and men. 2. Home Economics in business: Twelve percent of the total membership of the AHEA is affiliated with the home economics in business section. A professional management consultant, Dr. strain's viewpoint and corning Glass Work's case about business value in the home economics were summarized; a) Why a business employs a home economist. b) Why a business does not employ a home economist. c) Enhancing the home economist's value. d) Home economist's roles in corning Glass works. 3. Creating a Career: a) Mrs. Maineri's story. b) Family financial counselors. c) Home economist and displaced homemaker. d) Job opportunities in international services. Since the role of home economics in Korea has had little perception in professionalism, the following issues require immediate and serious attention to enhance career opportunities for home economists: Employers and government's recognition of home economist's value, Home economist's attitude to enhance their value, Fair employment and sex discrimination, Curricula adjustment, and Support from women's organization for employment opportunities, fair treatment, top jobs, etc.

Since patients with strokes occupy a high priority among patients for home nursing, the development of guidelines for such nursing is required and the needs of these patients should be reflected in the guidelines. Therefore, this study was done to identify the content and levels of home nursing for patients with strokes and to utilize the data in developing the most effective home nursing guidelines for these patients. The level of A, D. L. and the ability to control upper extremities were measured, and through a questionnaire. the needs for home nursing and related variables were also evaluated. The subjects for the study were 121 patients, 58 inpatients and 63 home care patients who had had a Stroke. Data collection was done from September 1996 to January 1997. The collected data were analyzed utilizing SPSS /PC, and the results are as follows : 1. Home nursing need of inpatients The priority order of home nursing needs for inpatients was : "Training in emergency treatments and how to cope with a stroke"(2.28+1.06), next, "Explanation of diets as limited or recommended", and last, "Nursing care for sleeping Problems". 2. Home nursing need home of patients The priority order of home nursing needs for home patients was : "Care for the paralyzed side" (2, 89+.34), next, "Maintenance of right posture and how to change position" (2.87+.34), and last, "Counseling on sex". 3. Comparison of the levels of home nursing needs between in patients and home patients The results of analyses of home nursing needs according to causes were grouped into seven categories : and t-tests of the seven categories showed significant differences between the two groups in all categories, that is, the level of home nursing needs were significantly higher for home patients than for inpatients in all categories of home nursing. 4. Level of home nursing needs by characteristics The variables that have affected the level of home nursing needs for these patients were sex, profession, level of education, accompanying diseases, paralyzed position. A.D.L. levels and ability levels in coordinating upper extremities. There variables, displayed a reverse correlation with the level of home nursing needs, and the degree of correlation was high. In conclusion, the above results, show there were differences in the priority order of home nursing needs between inpatients and home patients : but the content of home nursing needs wanted by these patients was similar. Meanwhile, the levels of demand for home nursing was exceptionally higher on the part of home patients than inpatients. Although it is realized that nursing guidelines for home nursing needs in all items need to be developed, there is also a necessity to guidelines in accordance with priority orders, and with consideration of the factors that affect the level of home nursing needs. of the factors that affect the level of home nursing needs.

As home network is increasing to use, home network industry is developing too. Also, it is to be a popular subject in the network's topics. In this reasons, home network become a important thing because home gateway function is working between access network and home network. In the home network, it relates on the personal computer, home pad, and digital television. But, home gateway is not prepared standard point about techniques. Therefore, many kind of technique want to try for developing of home gateway's functions. Usually, we use ID/PASSWORD method in network control system. But, we found a lot of problems about classical network system while we experienced Jan/25 big trouble. We are considering about that home network system are using same network net. Therefore, seriously we have to check about security and safety at the home network's environment. This report focus on the home network's environment to control for using and efficiency and then it wants to find ways to protect from the internal and external attacks. Existing ID/PASSWORD method it used a electronic signature and the security against the approach from of external watch, the MIB structure of role base and the security of the Home network which leads the authority control which is safe even from the Home network inside it strengthened it used compared to it proposed.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate appropriateness of home health care travel cost. For the evaluation, investigated the operating costs of vehicles used by home care nurses and then were components of home care nurses's annual salaries. Travel costs were then calculated based on actual travel expenses of home health care service. Actual data of 23 hospital-based home care agencies between July, 2002 to December, 2002 were collected for the analysis of the travel costs. The results of this study are : 1) For home visit, 65% of home care agencies turned out to be using only hospital owned cars, and 17.1% be depending purely on home care nurses' cars. On average, 1.9 cars used for home visit. 2) Out of 89 agencies, 23 agencies responded to the travel cost survey. Total maintenance cost of a car per month was 381,457 won. 3) Average per visit personal expenses of home care nurses during travel time turned out to be 7,124won assuming 8 working hours per day, 4 visits per day, and 30 minuets of travel time for each visit. 4) Total home health care travel cost per visit was 12,069 won, which was the sum of actually paid travel cost of 4,945 won and personal expenses during travel time of 7,124. In conclusion. we reckon that current compensation price of home care nurses' travel is inappropriate because total home health care travel costs of 12,069 won per visit turned out to be 2.1 times of currently prevailing standard compensation price of 5,830 per visit.

A term of home automation that was in fashion only a few years ago has not been used any more. Nowadays, We have been used a term of home network or digital home than home automation much. While internet infra is diffused at home, data network corp., communication corp., electric appliance corp. and home automation control system corp. which we did not mind each other particularly constructed consortium, and they have designs on home network market. Also, cellular phone's growth tried home networking by using not only wired internet but also broadband wireless communication. Regardless, many solutions are coming out it is few to be applied to real life because the standard is not determined with the protocol each other. Therefore, we developed home network system using USB(Universal Serial Bus) that has the possibility most in home networking standard. The mobile USB home control system is excellent at expansibility and portability. Also we can complete low cost and stable system using an embedded system.

The purposes of this study were to examine correlation between the two variables home maenaegement consciousnsess and home management behavior identify the diversity of home management behavior of married new generation and empirically test the variables which affect home management behavior. The major results are as follows: 1. There was a positive correlation between home management consciousness and home management behavior in all of the subarea family relation home management and consumer and financial management. 2. The home management behavior of married new generation men was more modernized and more rational in the area of family relation and home management than those of the counterpart. 3. Among the variables home management consciousness variable was most important in home management behavior. No gender differences were found.

This paper presents the design of a USB home controller and a home control system that specially is focused on controlling home appliances as a part of home network systems, the implementation of the USB device access class in an OSGi service platform and a home security system as an application. Designed USB home controllers are able to control various home appliances. They can be used not only to control big home appliances like a boiler but also to control small home appliances like a toaster because they are low-cost solutions. The USB home controller supports real time control using the interrupt transfer of the USB specification. And It is easy to use by homemakers who have no technical knowledge of the system because they just plug and unplug it in a home server then it automatically joins and leaves a home control system. This technique is based on hot-plug and the USB Device Access class in an OSGi Service Platform. The USB Device Access class supports the coordination of automatic detection and attachment of the USB home controller on an OSGi Service Platform, and it downloads and installs device drivers on demand. For an application, we implemented and tested a home security system using two USB home controllers and a CDMA module.
