A Full Scale Fossil Power Plant Simulator For Hadong (하동 화력 발전소 전범위 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • This paper describes the development of training simulator for Hadong fossil Power Plant. The simulator was developed to train operator, test new control Logic and evaluate alternative operating procedure for expert engineer of control system. The most control logics such as Siemens TELEPERM ME and GE Mark V are translated directly from microprocessors. Those HMI are also directly emulated. The simulation was performed by ProTRAX modeling software. The paper discusses the configuration of simulator and the simulation results of 30%, 50%, 75% and 100% normal rate load test.

  • 액체추진 과학로켓으로 개발되고 있는 KSR-III(Korea Sounding Rocket-III)의 발사통제시스템의 개발에 관하여 기술하였다. 발사통제시스템은 장기간에 걸쳐 개발된 로켓을 발사시키는데 필수적인 시스템으로서 신뢰성과 강인성이 최대한 요구된다. KSR-III 발사통제시스템의 하드웨어는 콘솔, PLC, 신호분배기, DAS로 구성되어 있으며 소프트웨어로서 HMI 및 DAS 제어프로그램이 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 네트워크를 이용한 종합 방재 시스템은 공장 단위의 감시로 정확한 화재 지점을 알 수 없으므로 인하여 화재 상세 구역별 감시 가능하도록 구축하고 화재 발생 시 관련 사용자에게 SMS 문자 전송 및 관할 소방서까지 화재 정보를 전달 가능한 시스템이다.

  • This paper describes the theoretical background and detailed structure of Navi-HEGS (Navigation system Human factors Evaluation and Guideline System) which has been developed for the human factors and HMI(Human-Machine Interface) researches for a CNS (Car Navigation System) and a digital map. Navi-HEGS is and integrated system that consists of a digital map UIMS(User Interface Management System), a CNS simulator, various evaluation tools, and a design guideline system. If Navi-HEGS is properly applied and utilized, it is possible to extract the substantial users requirements and preferences of a CNS and a digital map and then, these requirements can be simulated and evaluated with various human factors evaluation techniques. Applications of Navi-HEGS can improve the CNS usability, drivers safety and performance that directly affect the success of ITS(Intelligent Transport System). Also, results can be used as the basic data to establish the standards and design guidelines for the driver-centered CNS design.

  • The manufacturing equipment on most shop floors consists of numerical control machines, and the condition of each piece of equipment is monitored and controlled by an internal sensor or programmable logic controller (PLC). To control and monitor production lines that consist of an equipment or production module, a separate control and monitoring system such as a manufacturing execution system should be introduced. However, there is no standardized system, and it is costly and difficult to build a system for small or medium-sized plants. In this paper, a PLC-based supervisory system for operation control of a group of production machines is proposed, and the developed PLC-based system is evaluated by applying it to a computer numerical control machine.

  • This paper presents monitoring system for 750kW-class DFIG wind turbine generator system and an architecture for applying standardized communication, IEC61400-25. Monitoring and control system is consists of wind turbine PLC, Local and Remote I/O Server, HMI. and Web-server. Proposed System has been demonstrated in Daegi-ri, Kangwon-do, which aims to test local and/or remote monitoring and control system and evaluate the performance of 750kW-class WTS. Finally we described the design of logical nodes and services based on IEC61400-25 and its application scheme.

  • This study developed the virtual operation system for the hydraulic pump system for marine usage. The scope of this study is to develop a process dynamic simulation model for the hydraulic pump system for marine usage, to investigate the process dynamic characteristics using the models, to accomplish the logic diagram for the PLC control and to achieve a human-machine interface (HMI) for the convenience of operators to monitor and control the process. The virtual operation system provides a virtual operation environment for the pumping system, enabling the operators to simulate the change of process variables. The system will assist in developing advanced control logics and then optimal design of the system.

  • This paper presents a performance evaluation procedure for advanced emergency braking (AEB) system. To guarantee the performance of AEB system, AEB test scenario should contains various driving conditions which can be occurred in real driving condition. Also, performances of each elements of AEB system, such as sensor, decision, human machine interface (HMI) and control, should be evaluated in various situations. For this, driving conditions, road types, environment, and elements of AEB system were introduced. Test scenario has been designed to represent the real driving condition and to evaluate the safety performance of AEB system in various situations. To confirm that the proposed AEB test scenario is realistic and physically meaningful, vehicle test have been conducted in two cases of proposed AEB test scenario: subject vehicle cut-out scenario and narrow street turn left scenario.

  • In this paper, an integrated monitoring system is implemented for industrial equipments which use different types of network protocols to communicate with other equipments. Dedicated gateway systems mate it difficult to modify or to add contents of network systems for communication with other systems. We suggest an integration method of effectively utilizing the general purpose gateway system (ETOS-l00A) which converts various types of protocols into TCP/IP protocol. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed integrated monitoring system, PLC-based automated inspection system is considered and the monitoring system is implemented using Visual Basic and HMI software.

  • In this paper, one type of a security system for panel working is suggested. The industrial Ethernet is used for open-close door control of the working panel and for monitoring the working panel is correct or not. Especially to upgrade the security system, a remote approval function of panel working by using the given approval number, a remote monitoring function for checking the approved panel is currently working or not, and an alarming function for keying the unapproved number or opening the disapproved panel, are added for preventing and reducing the intentional working error. Also the worker and working time are stored in PC automatically in exel file for detecting the working error. To show the possibility of suggested security system. two-working panel system is prepared and studied.
