IN-PILE PERFORMANCE OF HANA CLADDING TESTED IN HALDEN REACTOR

  • An in-pile performance test of HANA claddings was conducted at up to 67 GWD/MTU in the Halden research reactor in Norway over a 6.5 year period. Four types of HANA claddings (HANA-3, HANA-4, HANA-5, and HANA-6) and a reference Zircaloy-4 cladding were used for the in-pile test. The evaluation parameters of the HANA claddings were the corrosion behavior, dimensional changes, hydrogen uptake, and tensile strength after the claddings were tested under the simulated operation conditions of a Korean commercial reactor. The oxide thickness ranged from 15 to 37 mm at a high flux region in the test rods, and all HANA claddings showed corrosion resistance superior to the Zircaloy-4 cladding. The creep-down rate of all HANA claddings was lower than that of the Zircaloy-4 cladding. In addition, the hydrogen content of the HANA claddings ranged from 54 to 96 wppm at the high heat flux region of the test rods, whereas the hydrogen content of the Zircaloy-4 cladding was 119 wppm. The tensile strength of the HANA and Zircaloy-4 claddings was similarly increased when compared to the un-irradiated claddings owing to the radiation-induced hardening.

  • Thermal creep properties of the advanced zirconium fuel claddings named by HANA alloys which were developed for high burn-up application were evaluated. The creep test of HANA cladding tubes was carried out by the internal pressurization method in temperature range from 350 to $400^{\circ}C$ and in the hoop stress range from 100 to 150 MPa. Creep tests were lasted up to 800 days, which showed the steady-state secondary creep rate. The creep resistance of HANA fuel claddings was affected by final annealing temperature and various factors, such as alloying element, applied stress and testing temperature. From the results the microstructure observation of the samples before and after creep test by using TEM, the dislocation density was increased in the sample of after creep test. The Sn as an alloying element was more effective in the creep resistance than other elements such as Nb, Fe, Cr and Cu due to solute hardening effect of Sn. In case of HANA fuel claddings, the improved creep resistance was obtained by the control of final heat treatment temperature as well as alloying element.

옻나무 전탕추출물 한방치료와 항암화학요법을 병용한 대장암 4기 환자 2례 (Two Cases of Stage IV Colorectal Cancer Patients by Combined Treatment of Rhus Vernifciflua Stokes Decoction and Chemotherapy)

  • Background & Objectives : Colorectal Cancer is 10% of all cancer incidence and the motality from colorectal cancer is nearly 450,000 a year. Since chemopreventive agents from Herbal medicine is hot issue recently, to prove antitumor effecicacy of Rhus vernifciflua STOKES decoction(Chijong-tang), clinical study was carried out. Here we report two patients with colorectal cancer of stage IV. One is colorectal cancer patient with liver, lung metastases underwent operation, chemotherapy. The other patient with liver metastasis underwent chemotherapy. All of two patients acquired tolerance. Methods : One patient visited Hana oriental medicine Clinic in 2010 and was treated using Chijong-tang for 17 months at Hana Oriental Clinic. The other patient visited Hana oriental medicine Clinic in 2011 and was treated using Chijong-tang for 5 months at Hana Oriental Clinic. Results : Chijong-tang showed no side effect, no more tolerance during its treatment with chemotherapy and tumor size was retarded based on CT scanning. Overall, this case report suggests that Rhus vernifciflua STOKES can be a potent cancer preventive agents for colorectal cancer but it is still required to verify the scientific and clinical evidences for Rhus vernifciflua STOKES decoction (Chijong-tang).

Dynamic Corrective Brace를 이용한 특발성 척추측만증의 치료효과에 관한 증례보고 (A Clinical Study on Idiopathic Scoliosis with the Dynamic Corrective Brace)

  • Objectives : This study is designed to evaluate the Effectiveness of dynamic corrective brace on patient of idiopathic scoliosis. Methods : We have investigated 3 patients with idiopathic scoliosis, confirmed X-ray and weared dynamic corrective brace from December 2003 to December 2004. Results : After 12 months of application with dynamic corrective brace, One case, the T-spine Cobb's angle correctability was 47% and the L-spine was 84%, another case, the L-spine Cobb's angle correctability was 59%, the other case, the T-spine Cobb's angle correctability was 32% and the L-spine was 52%. Conclusion : These results suggest that the dynamic corrective brace was effective treatment modality on patient of idiopathic scoliosis.

TV 포털 미디어 사례 연구 -하나 TV의 콘텐츠 이용 실태를 중심으로- (Case Study of Hana TV as TV Portal)

  • 하나 TV로 대표될 수 있는 TV 포털은 인터넷 종합 포털 미디어와 유사한 기능을 가지고 있을 뿐만아니라, 다운로드 파일 소비의 특성을 지니고 있다고 할 수 있다. 따라서, 이 연구에서는 하나 TV가 지니고 있는 TV포털로서의 특징이 콘텐츠 구성 및 실제 이용에 있어서 어떻게 전개되는지 살펴보고자 했다. 연구 대상은 하나 TV의 월간 접속률과 콘텐츠 요청 건수 등이며, 연구 방법으로는 기존 자료에 대한 2차 분석과 월간 시청 빈도와 콘텐츠 요청 건수에 대한 빈도 분석을 실시했다. 하나 TV의 콘텐츠 유형별 시청 빈도와 콘텐츠 요청 건수를 분석한 결과, 하나 TV시청자들이 현재 가장 많이 시청하고 있으며 향후에도 보기를 희망하는 콘텐츠 유형은 지상파 방송 프로그램인 것으로 나타났다. 이는 하나 TV가 지상파 방송의 보완 매체로 기능할 가능성이 높다는 것을 의미한다. 이에 따라 향후 케이블 TV 및 인터넷 '다시보기' 서비스와의 직접적인 경쟁이 예상된다.
