The characteristics of crude polyphenol oxidase extracted from mushroom[Tricholoma matsutake(S. Ito et Imai) Sing.] were investigated. The enzyme showed highest affinity to pyrogaroll among trihydroxyphenols. Except for o-diphenols the enzyme was inactive in di-and monophenols. The optimum pH was about 4 and the optimum temperature ranged from 45 to $55^{\circ}C$. The enzyme activity was completely inhibited by $70^{\circ}C$ heat treatment for 2 min. $Cu^{++}$, $Fe^{++}$ and $Mg^{++}$ activated the enzyme at low concentration($10^{-1}mM$), but inhibited at high concentration (1mM). The most potent inhibitors were Na-diethyldithiocarbamate, L-ascorbic acid, L-cysteine and NaCl. The Km value with pyrogaroll was 0.88mM.

It was reported in our Previous paper that the fermented products from Gloeostereum incarnatum strongly inhibit the growth of six kinds of bacteria in human bodies. In this paper the appropriated conditions of immersing culture for the strain 8 903 of Gloeostereum incarnatum was analysed. And the output of the hypha and fermentative product was determined or compared, The prelimenaryresults showed that the appropriated conditions for the growth of Gloeostereum incarnatum are: (1)culture medium:glucose 3%; protein peoptne 0.2%; soybeancake power 1%, yeast power 0.3%; KH2PO40.05%; MgSO4 0.03%; CaCO3 0.01%; vitamin Bl 0.001%; befor sterilization pH Value of six should be maintained; (2) temperature; 27$^{\circ}C$～28$^{\circ}C$; (3) time; about 200 hours; (4) ventilation; (30%～50%)/min. The sigh of the end culture we: pH coming down about 4: remnant glucoses less 1%, amino nitrogens about 20;, time about eight days. In the aforementioned conditions, the output of fermentative product achieve to 2.5 ～3g/L.

Several higher fungi were collected at Andong during the summer and fall of 1976. About 100 higher fungi were collected at Mt: Sobaek and Youngju during the same period in 1978. These higher fungi were identified. As the results, Macrocystidia proved to be new genus in Korea. And the following are also newly-found species in Korea: Hygrocybe turunda (Fr.) Karst., Hygrophorus lucorum Kalchbr., Macrocystidia cucumis (Fr.) Heim var. latifolia (Lange) Imazeki et Hongo, Agaricus subrufescens Peck, Psathyrella hydrophila (Bull. ex Fr.) A.H. Smith, Stropharia rugosannulata Farlow f. lutea Hongo, Inocybe bresadolae Mass., Inocybe multicoronata A.H. Smith, Russula farinihes Romell and Lactarius sakamotoi Imai.

In this paper, we investigate a human identification scheme using visual cryptography, which can decode concealed images without and crytographic computations. T.Katoh & H.Imai proposed a secret sharing scheme which can conceal two query images into one displayed image for the identification. the generalized construction of the share matrix is proposed to conceal the multiple query images by stacking user slides o the displayed image. Furthermore, an extended methodis proposed in which group of slides can conceal an independent secret image as well as the pairs of slides can.

Korean Peninsula Flora Database (KPF database), developed by T.B. Lee Herbarium of Seoul National University comprises ca. 65,000 accessions of vascular plants collected from Korean peninsula from 1850 to 1945. Among these, material from North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) is represented with ca. 33,000 accessions. The largest part of this material [ca. 4287 accessions (13%) from North Korea] originates from five Japanese and one American collectors, such as Imai, Hanjiro, Mills, Ralph Garfield, Furumi, Masatomi, Nomura, Naohiko, Saito, Tatsumoto, and Okuyama, Shunki from 1909 to 1942. These data are the third largest holding (13%) of North Korean collections after Komarov, V.L and Nakai, T. A part of scientific report about the results of these expeditions had been published before, but the present publication set it sights on giving a first overview of the itineraries and the materials collected by five collectors in North Korea. Among these, Saito has by far the largest collection with 1,730 specimens, followed by five collectors in order with 1,067, 532, 510, 368 and 370 accessions by Mills, Nomura, Okuyama, Furumi, and Imai respectively.

The performance of the LSI improved drastically due to the progress of the semiconductor manufacturing technology in recent years. However, a new problem such as wiring delay and complication inside the LSI occurs. The study to solve these problems with much research organization is been doing. We tried to solve of these problems by using the neuron MOS transistor with 4-valued signal in addition to the binary signal. In this paper, We present, method which realizes 4-valued logic function. And, a designed circuit, is verified by using HSPICE.

In order to investigate the mechanism of regulation of progesterone production, quail were hypophysectomized at various times during the ovulation cycle, and granulose cells were isolated from follicles 4 hr after the operation. They were incubated in vitro at $40^{\circ}C$ with or without LH or dibutyryl cyclic AMP, and the amounts of progesterone produced during 3 hr of incubation were measured by radioimmunoassay. Hypophysectomy at 8 hr or 20 hr before the predicted time of ovulation caused a reduced responsiveness of F1 granulosa cells to exogenous LH or dibutyrul cyclic AMP. Although hypophysectomy at 24 hr before ovulation caused a slight reduction of responsiveness of F1 granulosa cells, the reduction of the progesterone production during the incubation without any stimuli was prominent by the sham operation. These results suggest that the presence of pituitary gland influences the ability of the granulose cells to produce progesterone in response to LH or dibutyryl cyclic AMP.

This study reports the extraction behavior of $\alpha$-lactalbumin using bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate sodium (AOT) reverse micelles. Forward extraction of $\alpha$-lactalbumin in the reverse micellar organic phase from aqueous feed solutions was strongly dependent on the AOT concentration and the complete forward extraction of 0.03 mM $\alpha$-lactalbumin was successfully achieved at an AOT concentration of ca. 100 mM. A similar dependency of the forward extraction on the AOT concentration was obtained in isooctane, n-hexane, and n-octane systems. In the backward extraction from the micellar organic phase, the recovery of the protein as high as ca. 90% was obtained with pH control and/or salt addition.

We performed simultaneous VLBI observations of H2O 616-523 (22.2 GHz) and SiO v=1, 2, J=1-0 (43.1, 42.8 GHz) and v=1, J=2-1, J=3-2 (86.2, 129.3 GHz) masers toward VX Sagittarius using the Korean VLBI Network (KVN). The astrometrically registered maps of the 22.2 GHz H2O and 43.1, 42.8, 86.2 SiO masers were successfully obtained at two epochs of 2016 February 27 and 2016 March 27 by adopting the Source Frequency Phase Referencing (SFPR) method. In addition we detected 129.3 Ghz SiO maser at second epoch. These results make it possible to determine the accurate position of central star as a dynamical center of 22.2 GHz H2O maser and relative locations of 43.1, 42.8, 86.2, 129.3 GHz SiO masers. In addition, it is possible to investigate the morphological and kinematic variations of clumpy structures from SiO maser to H2O maser regions in future together with the development of asymmetric structure of H2O maser region.
