세륨(Ⅳ)에 의한 말론산의 산화반응에 관한 반응속도론적 연구 (Kinetic Studies on the Oxidation Reaction of Malonic Acid by Ceric Ion)

  • 1M 황산용액에서 세륨(Ⅳ) 이온에 의한 말론산의 산화반응에 관한 반응속도를 분광광도법으로 연구하였다. 말론산이 과량으로 존재하는 조건하에서 측정된 유사일차 속도상수, $k_{obs}$는 말론산의 농도, [MA]에 따라 크게 의존함을 보였으며 $k_{obs}$ = (0.592[MA])/(1+14.5[MA]$^2$)의 관계를 만족하였다. 이에 근거하여 반응메카니즘을 제안하였다. 말론산의 산해리에 의해 생성된 enolate형 음이온과 Ce(Ⅳ)간의 전자이동반응이 반응속도 결정단계이며, MA의 고농도하에서 Ce(Ⅳ)과 enolate형 음이온간의 1:2 chelate생성반응에 의하여 Ce(Ⅳ)의 농도가 감소하여 산화반응이 억제됨을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제안된 메카니즘에 근거하여 Sengupta 등에 의해 연구된 pH 의존성을 설명할 수 있었다.

새로운 금속 킬레이트 착물 발광체의 합성과 전기화학적 특성 연구 (Synthesis and Electrochemical Characterization of The New Luminescent Metal-Chelate Complexes)

  • 다층 구조로 이루어진 유기 전계발광소자(OELD)는 평판 디스플레이에 응용될 수 있으므로 활발히 연구되고 있다. 금속 킬레이트 착물은 발광층을 구성하는 물질로 개발되고 있는데 이 중 몇 가지는 효율적인 전계발광(EL) 특성을 가진다고 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 청색 발광을 나타내는 몇 가지 금속 킬레이트 착물들을 합성하였다. 리간드 quinaldat나 8-quinoline carboxylate를 사용하였고 중심 금속으로는 베릴륨과 아연을 도입하였다. 이 착물들에 대하여 FT-IR, MS/FAB, $^1$H-NMR, UVvis, 광발광(PL) 특 성을 고찰하였다. 또한 순환 전압전류법(CV)으로 이들 착물로 형성된 필름의 전기화학적 밴드갭(Eg), 전자친화도(EA), 이온화 에너지(IP)를 조사하였다. 앞에서 얻은 UV-vis의 에너지 홉수 파장과 순환 전압전류법으로 구한 전기화학적 밴드갭올 비교, 논의하였다. 이러한 연구는 새로운 고효율 금속 착물 발광체의 개발에 밑거름이 될 것이며, 현재 이들 화합물로 EL 소자를 제작하는 연구가 진행 중에 있다.

Production of Iron Enriched Eggs of Laying Hens

  • An experiment was conducted to investigate the efficiency of transfer of dietary iron sources to eggs of laying hens. Eighty ISA-Brown laying birds of 30 wk old were housed in 40 cages of 2 birds each. Eight birds in four cages were assigned to one of the following ten treatments: T1; control, T2; 100 ppm iron supplementation with iron-methionine chelate (Fe-Met-100), T3; Fe-Met- 200, T4; Fe-Met-300, T5; 100 ppm iron supplementation with iron sulfate ($FeSO_4$-100), T6; $FeSO_4$-200, T7; $FeSO_4$-300, T8; 100 ppm iron supplementation with Availa-$Fe^{(R)}$ (Availa-Fe-100), T9; Availa-Fe-200 and T10; Availa-Fe-300. Results of 40 d feeding trial showed that there were no consistent responses in laying performance by source and level of iron supplementation. However, eggshell strength and color were improved by Fe supplementation. Egg iron content was maximized at 10-15 days after feeding supplemental Fe. Fe- Met was the most effective source in enriching Fe of eggs followed by Availa-Fe and $FeSO_4$. Increasing supplementary Fe level more than 100 ppm was not effective in Fe-Met and Availa-Fe treatments. Average Fe enrichment of 18% was achieved after feeding Fe-Met-100 for 15 d. In conclusion, enrichment of Fe in egg could be effectively achieved by supplementation of Fe-Met-100 for 15 d.

  • salicylaldoxime에 의한 Cu의 용매추출에 있어서 추출평형 및 추출속도 등을 고찰하였다. 흡광도 측정으로부터 oxime의 분배정수와 해리정수를 구하고, oxime-Cu착화합물의 안정도 상수와 분배정수, 분자흡광계수 및 추출평형정수를 결정하였다. chloroform 및 benzene 용매하에 salicylaldoxime에 의한 Cu의 추출 화학종은 1:2의 형태인 ${\bar{CuR_2}}$였으며, 초기 추출속도실험으로부터 salicylaldoxime-chloroform에 의한 Cu의 총괄추출속도는 $R=k[Cu^{2+}]{\bar{[HR]}}^{0.5}/[H^+]^{0.4}$로 표시 되었다.

Catalytic Effect of $MO_4^{2-_4}$ (M=Cr, Mo and W) on Hydrolyses of Carbon and Phosphorus Esters

  • Second-order rate constants have been measured spectrophotometrically for the hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl ac-etate (PNPA) and p-nitrophenyl diphenylphosphinate (PNPDPP) with MO42- (M = Cr, Mo and W) in phos-phate buffer (pH = 8.00) at 35.0 $^{\circ}C.$ Thes e MO42- species exhibit large catalytic effect in the hydrolysis of PNPA and PNPDPP except WO42- in the reaction with PNPA. The catalytic effect of these MO42- species has been observed to be much more significantin the hydrolysis of PNPDPP than in the hydrolysis of PNPA. Since the smallest CrO42-would be most highly solvated by H2O molecules, CrO42- is expected to exhibit the least catalytic effect, if solvation effect is the most important factor. However, in fact, CrO42- shows the highest cat-alytic effect toward PNPA, indicating that solvation effect is not solely responsible for the catalytic effect. The most basic CrO42- shows the highest catalytic effect, while the least basic WO42- is least reactive toward PNPA, indicating that the basicity of MO4 2- might bean important factor. However, in the hydrolysis of PNPDPP, no correlation is observed between the basicity and catalytic effect, suggesting thatbasicity alone can not be re-sponsible for the catalytic effect shown by the MO42- species. Formation of a chelate is suggested to be respon-sible for the high catalytic effect of MO42- in the hydrolysis reaction of PNPA and PNPDPP. The formation of chelate is considered to be more suitable for the reaction with PNPDPP than with PNPA based on the larger catalytic effect observed in the reaction with PNPDPP than with PNPA.

Effect of the Bifunctional Chelate on the Biodistribution of 99mTc-labeled Cyclic RGD Peptide

  • A novel $N_3S_1$ chelate, Pro-Lys-Cys (PKC) to cyclic RGD to radiolabel with $^{99m}Tc$ was conjugated in an effort to decrease the high intestinal accumulation observed for $^{99m}Tc$-labeled PGC-RGD. The target specificity of the resulting PKC-RGD was similar to that of PGC-RGD as determined by a cell binding assay and a competition binding assay. The $^{99m}Tc$ radiolabeling of PKC-RGD resulted in radiochemical yields of 98% under mild conditions at high specific activities. Biodistribution data in normal mice clearly showed a significant decrease in intestinal uptake at 2 h postinjection for the $^{99m}Tc-PKC-c$ (RGDyK) compared to the $^{99m}Tc-GC-c$ (RGDyK) (from $19.65%ID{\cdot}g^{-1}$ to $7.31%ID{\cdot}g^{-1}$ for the GI tract). The $^{99m}Tc-PKC-c$ (RGDyK) biodistribution was also shown by a higher retention of radioactivity in the whole body, but with kidney accumulation over 8-fold higher than observed with $^{99m}Tc-PGC-c$ (RGDyK) at 2 h ($12.62%ID{\cdot}g^{-1}$ for PKC-RGD and $1.54%ID{\cdot}g^{-1}$ for PGC-RGD, respectively). These results show that the biodistribution may be altered especially concerning lipophilicity resulting in renal rather than hepatobiliary excretion. This comparative study made it possible to explore the effects of lipophilicity on the biodistribution of $^{99m}Tc$-labeled c (RGDyK) through the use of different tripeptide $N_3S_1$ chelators. Therefore, $^{99m}Tc-PKC-c$ (RGDyK) may be an attractive alternative for the in vivo imaging of integrin receptors.

The Effect of Level and Period of Fe-methionine Chelate Supplementation on the Iron Content of Boiler Meat

  • A broiler experiment was conducted to compare the effects of duration and level of iron-methionine chelate (Fe-Met) supplementation on the iron, copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) content of broiler meat. Two hundred and fifty hatched Ross broiler chickens were randomly assigned to 5 dietary treatments. Each treatment had 5 replicates of 10 birds (5 males and 5 females) each. Birds were housed in raised floor batteries and fed traditional broiler diets ad libitum for 5 weeks. Dietary treatments were as follows: Control and two levels of Fe-Met (100 or 200 ppm in Fe) supplemented for either the whole period (0-5 wk) or grower period (4-5 wk). Production performance was not significantly affected by treatments. Iron content in the muscles (breast, leg and wing) and organs (liver and spleen) were significantly (p<0.05) increased as the level and duration of Fe-Met supplementation increased. The highest concentration of iron was shown in Fe-Met 200 fed for the whole period. Liver contained the highest amount of iron followed by spleen, leg muscle, wing muscle and breast muscle. Supplementation of Fe-Met 200 for the grower period resulted in higher iron concentration in liver and spleen than supplementation of Fe-Met 100 for the whole period. However, the same treatment resulted in lower iron concentration in muscles (breast, leg and wing) than the treatment of Fe-Met 100 for the whole period. In order to achieve the highest iron enrichment in the muscles, Fe-Met should be supplemented at 200 ppm in Fe for the whole period (5 wks). Fe-Met supplementation increased copper concentration in all muscles and organs except wing muscle. Zinc concentration decreased in breast and wing muscle but tended to increase in leg muscle, liver and spleen by Fe-Met 200 supplementation. Color of muscle was not significantly affected by Fe-Met treatments. However, redness of leg and breast muscle, and yellowness of leg and breast muscle tended to increase by supplementation of Fe-Met for the whole period. It was concluded that iron content of broiler meat can be effectively enriched by supplementation of 200 ppm of Fe as Fe-Met for 5 wks.

  • 역상 고성능 액체 크로마토그래피에서 L-proline과 그 유도체들(hydroxy-L-proline, N-benzyl-L-proline, p-xylenyl-L-proline, p-xylenyl-hydroxy-L-proline)의 구리(II) 킬레이트를 이동상에 첨가하여 유도체화 안된(자유) 아미노산 광학이성질체를 분리하였다. OPA-postcolumn 검출장치를 이용하여 검출하였고, 자유아미노산에 관한 머무름 거동을 이동상의 pH와 킬레이트 종류 및 농도, 유기용매의 종류 및 조성에 관해 연구하였다. 자유아미노산에서의 머무름 거동은 DNS-아미노산이나 DABS-아미노산과 같은 아미노산 유도체와는 다르게 나타났고, 분리 선택성도 자유아미노산이 아미노산 유도체들 보다 더 좋았다. 사용한 여러가지 리간드 가운데 p-xylenyl-L-proline을 사용했을 때 최대의 광학 분리의 선택성을 나타내었다. 아미노산과 구리 착물간의 리간드 교환반응의 입체효과에 따른 정지상과의 소수성 상호작용으로 분리 메카니즘을 설명할 수 있었다.

  • Coupling of tetracycline(Tc) to dithiocarbamate chitosan(DTCC) via chelate bond was investigated varying reaction time, concentration, temperature, pH, and Ca(II)/Tc ratio. The amount of Tc bound to matrix increased to give a maximum and decreased as the reaction proceeded. The degree and rate of dissociation of Tc complex were affected by the reaction temperature, and pH. By running the reaction at low temperature and pH, the degree of dissociation was greatly diminished. Properties of drug-release from DTCC-Ca(II)-Tc complex were studied by batch- and flow-method and release of Tc and CA(II) by flow method followed nearly zero-order. DTCC-Ca(II)-Tc showed very prolonged antimicrobial activity compared to that of free Tc.

구리 공급원들(Cu Sulfate, Cu-Methionine, Cu-Soy Proteinate)의 첨가가 육계의 생산성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Supplementary Copper Sources (Cu Sulfate, Cu-Methionine, Cu-Soy Proteinate) on the Performance Broiler Chickens)

  • 본 연구는 구리 공급원들이 육계의 생산성, 영양소 이용률, 혈액 성상 및 근육과 간의 광물질 함량에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 Cu sulfate, Cu-soy proteinate(Cu-SP), Cu-methionine chelate(Cu-Met)를 비교시험하였다. 육계(Ross$^{(R)}$) 1,000수를 공시하여 4처리 5반복으로 반복당 50수씩 완전 임의 배치하여 자유 섭식케 하였으며, 35일간 전기(0~3주), 후기(4~5주)로 나누어 실시하였다. 처리구들은 대조구, Cu sulfate($CuSO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$으로 Cu 200 ppm), Cu-Met(Cu-methione chelate으로 Cu 200 ppm), Cu-SP(Cu-soy proteinate으로 Cu 200 ppm)등 총 4처리였다. 증체량에서는 후기와 전(全)사양 시험 기간 동안 구리 첨가구들이 대조구와 비교하여 유의적으로(p<0.01, 후기; p<0.05, 전(全)사양 시험 기간) 높았으며, 사료 섭취량에서는 전기에서 Cu-Met가 대조구에 비해 유의적으로(p<0.01) 적었다. 사료 요구율(FCR)은 전(全)시험 기간 동안구리 첨가구들이 대조구에 비해 유의적으로(p<0.01) 낮았다. 생산지수(PEF)는 구리 첨가구들이 대조구와 비교하여 유의적으로(p<0.01) 높았다. 영양소 이용률은 처리간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 혈중 백혈구(WBC)와 호산구(EO)의 수는 구리 첨가구들이 낮았으며, 다른 leukocytes와 erythrocytes는 처리간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 근육 내 구리 함량은 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 가슴과 날개 근육 내 아연 함량은 구리 첨가구들에서 감소하였으나, 다리근육에서는 Cu sulfate 구에서 증가하였다. 간 내 구리 함량은 구리 첨가구들이 대조구와 비교하여 유의적으로(p<0.01) 높았다. 결론적으로 Cu sulfate, Cu-Met, Cu-SP는 육계의 증체율과 사료 요구율을 유의하게 개선하였으며, Cu 200 ppm 첨가 수준에서 Cu 공급원들 간에는 유의한 차이가 없었다.
