A study is made to put forward the new method of continuous-shear drawing (CSD), and investigate deformation behavior and microstructure evolution of aluminum alloy with a comparison of equal-channel angular (ECA) drawing. In contrast to ECA drawing, the die for CSD deformation can impart an additional strain to the workpiece since the diameter of the exit channel is narrower than that of its entrance channel. Although no significant crack occurs in all conditions during deformation, the sample deformed via CSD method showed better surface quality as compared to ECA drawing. This is mainly ascribed to the fact that the sample is significantly bent rather than sheared when deforming through ECA drawing.

Understanding the mechanisms that control and concentrate the observed electrospray ionisation (ESI) response from peptides is important. Controlling these mechanisms can improve signal-to-noise ratio in the mass spectrum, and enhances the generation of intact ions, and thus, improves the detection of peptides when analysing mixtures. The effects of different mixtures of aqueous: organic solvents (25, 50, 75%; v/v): formic acid solution (at pH 3.26) compositions on the ESI response and charge-state distribution (CSD) during mass spectrometry (MS) were determined in a group of biologically active peptides (molecular wt range 1.3 - 3.3 kDa). The ESI response is dependent on type of organic solvent in the mobile phase mixture and therefore, solvent choice affects optimal ion intensities. As expected, intact peptide ions gave a more intense ESI signal in polar protic solvent mixtures than in the low polarity solvent. However, for four out of the five analysed peptides, neither the ESI response nor the CSD were affected by the volatility of the solvent mixture. Therefore, in solvent mixtures, as the composition changes during the evaporation processes, the $pK_b$ of the amino acid composition is a better predictor of multiple charging of the peptides.
This paper proposes a novel algorithm for the efficient classification and annotation of medical images, especially X-ray images. Since X-ray images have a bright foreground against a dark background, we need to extract the different visual descriptors compare with general nature images. In this paper, a Color Structure Descriptor (CSD) based on Harris Corner Detector is only extracted from salient points, and an Edge Histogram Descriptor (EHD) used for a textual feature of image. These two feature vectors are then applied to a multi-class Support Vector Machine (SVM), respectively, to classify images into one of 20 categories. Finally, an image has the Annotation Code Array based on the pre-defined hierarchical relations of categories and priority code order, which is given the several optimal keywords by the Annotation Code Array. Our experiments show that our annotation results have better annotation performance when compared to other method.
The aerodynamic characteristics of aircraft winglet with structural deformation was investigated using the static FSI(Fluid-Structure Interaction) system. The system, comprised of CAD, CFD, CSD, VSI, and grid regeneration modules, was constructed. In the process VSI, grid regeneration, and integration modules were developed to combine CSD and CFD modules. As a test model, KC-135A, the double winglet suggested by Whitcomb, was selected and its aerodynamic characteristics for the rigid and deformable models was calculated by applying the static FSI system. As a result, the lift and drag coefficients of test models were reduced to 11% and 1.3%, respectively.
High-speed flight vehicle have various cavities. The supersonic cavity flow is complicated due to vortices, flow separation and reattachment, shock and expansion waves. The general cavity flow phenomena include the formation and dissipation of vortices, which induce oscillation and noise. The oscillation and noise greatly affect flow control, chemical reaction, and heat transfer processes. The supersonic cavity' flow with high Reynolds number is characterized by the pressure oscillation due to turbulent shear layer, cavity geometry, and resonance phenomenon based on external flow conditions, The resonance phenomena can damage the structures around the cavity and negatively affect aerodynamic performance and stability. In the present study, we performed numerical analysis of cavities by applying the unsteady, compressible three dimensional Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) equations with the ${\kappa}-{\omega}$ turbulence model. The cavity model used for numerical calculation had a depth(D) of 15mm cavity aspect ratio(L/D) of 3, width to spanwise ratio(W/D) of 1.0 to 5.0. Based on the PSD(Power Spectral Density) and CSD(Cross Spectral Density) analysis of the pressure variation, the dominant frequency was analyized and compared with the results of Rossiter's Eq.
An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of microbial phytase ($Natuphos^{(R)}$) supplementation in combination with carbohydrases (composed of enzymes targeted to soybean meal (SBM) dietary components such as $\alpha$-galactosides and galactomannans; $Endo-Power^{(R)}$) to corn-soybean meal based diet (CSD) and complex diet (CD) with a partial replacement of SBM with rape seed meal (RSM) and cotton seed meal (CSM) on growth performance and nutrient digestibility of growing pigs. A total of 168 growing pigs averaging $13.18{\pm}1.77kg$ of initial body weight was arranged as a $2{\times}2$ factorial design with main effects of diet types (corn-SBM based diet (CSD) and complex diets (CD; 5% of SBM was replaced with 2.5% of RSM and 2.5% of CSM in diet for phase I (0 to 3 weeks) and 6% of SBM was replaced with 3% of RSM and 3% of CSM in diet for phase II (4 to 7 weeks))) and enzyme supplementation (none and 0.1% of phytase (500 FTU/kg diet) and 0.1% of carbohydrases). The diet with enzyme application were formulated to have a 0.18% unit lower aP than diets without enzyme application. Each treatment had three replicates with 14 pigs per replicate. To determine supplementation effect of phytase and carbohydrases on ileal amino acid digestibility of SBM, RSM and CSM, a total of 18 T-cannulated pigs (initial body weight; $13.52{\pm}1.24kg$) were assigned to six dietary treatments in the present study. Dietary treatments in metabolic trial included 1) SBM diet, 2) SBM diet+with enzymes (phytase (500 FTU/kg) and carbohydrases at 0.1%, respectively), 3) CSM diet, 4) CSM diet+enzymes, 5) RSM diet and 6) RSM diet+enzymes. During whole experimental period (0 to 7 wks), there was no difference in growth performance between diets (CSD and CD). However, dietary phytase and carbohydrases supplementation significantly improved gain/feed ratio (G:F) of growing pigs. During the phase II (4-7 weeks), dietary phytase and carbohydrases supplementation significantly improved all fecal nutrient digestibilities (Dry matter (DM), gross energy (GE), crude protein (CP), crude fat (CF), calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P)). Dietary phytase and carbohydrases supplementation improved significantly overall ileal amino acid digestibilities of SBM, RSM and CSM based diets (p<0.05). The simultaneous inclusion of phytase and carbohydrases in both of CSD and CD reduced feed cost per kg body weight gain (FCG). Also, results suggest that 2.5 to 3% of RSM and CSM, respectively, might be used as a protein source in growing pig diets without having an adverse effect on the growth performance and nutrient digestibility and simultaneous phytase and carbohydrases addition improves nutritional value of SBM, RSM and CSM by improving ileal amino acid digestibilities.

Ferroelectric L $a_2$$Ti_2$$O_{7}$(LTO) thin films were prepared by chemical solution deposition processes. Acetylacetone was used as chelating agent and nitric acid was added in the stock solution to control hydrolysis and condensation reaction rate. The LTO thin films were spin-coated on Pt/Ti/ $SiO_2$/(100)Si and Pt/Zr $O_2$/ $SiO_2$/(100)Si substrates. After multiple coating, dried thin films were heat-treated for decomposition of residual organics and crystallization. The role of acetylacetone in Ti iso-propoxide stabilization by possibly substituting $O^{i}$Pr ligand was studied by H-NMR. B site-rich impurity phase, i.e. L $a_4$$Ti_{9}$$O_{24}$, was found after annealing, where its appearance was dependent on process temperature indicating the possible reaction with substrate. Dielectric and other relevant electrical properties were measured and the results were compared between modified sol-gel and MOD processes.s.s.

This paper proposes a novel algorithm for the efficient classification and retrieval of medical images. After color and edge features are extracted from medical images, these two feature vectors are then applied to a multi-class Support Vector Machine, to give membership vectors. Thereafter, the two membership vectors are combined into an ensemble feature vector. Also, to reduce the search time, Correlated Categories Vector is proposed for similarity matching. The experimental results show that the proposed system improves the retrieval performance when compared to other methods.

In this paper, we propose a coprime factor model reduction method to get a reduced order controller in $H^{\infty}$ mixed sensitivity problem with frequency weighting functions. for this purpose, the given $H^{\infty}$ mixed sensitivity problem is transformed into robust stabilization problem with coprime factor uncertainty of given plant. This method is to define frequency weighted coprime factors of plant in CSD (chain scattering description) form and reduce the coprime factors using weighted balanced truncation. then a controller is designed to the reduced order coprime factors using J-lossless coprime factorization method. Using this approach, the robust stability condition is derived and good performance is preserved in closed loop system with the given plant and the reduced order controller. Also the order of reduced controller for guaranteeing the robust stability can be determined before designing the reduced controller. The proposed method behaves well in both stable and unstable plant.
