The carbon steel formed the thick, somewhat porous, loosely adherent iron oxide scale when oxidized at $500-800^{\circ}C$ for 15 h in air. It formed the thicker, more porous, nonadherent scale consisting of FeS plus iron oxides in $Ar/1%SO_2$-mixed gas. It formed the much thicker, more porous, nonadherent scale consisting of FeS plus iron oxides in Ar/0.1% $H_2S$-mixed gas. However, the aluminized carbon steel formed the thin, protective $Al_2O_3$ surface scale even in $Ar/1%SO_2$-, and $Ar/0.1%H_2S$-mixed gas. Aluminizing drastically improved the corrosion resistance in (O, S, H)-containing gas.

Objectives Gait disorders are incapacitating symptoms of Parkinson's disease(PD). Here, we report improvements of patients diagnosed with PD treated by Sasang Constitutional Medicine, focused on gait and balance analysis. Methods The patients diagnosed with PD were treated on the basis of Sasang Constitutional Medicine, and their stance and gait status were analyzed by zebris Medical GmbH. To evaluate other general symptoms related with PD, GAS scale, NRS scale, H&Y scale and UPDRS were used. Results Stride length, velocity, stance phase, lateral symmetry were improved in all 6 patients. Other symptoms related to Parkinson's disease were reduced, along with the improvements in GAS scale, NRS scale, H&Y scale and UPDRS score. Conclusion This case study showed Sasang Constitutional Medicine is effective in various symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Especially in regard to the stance and gait status, the improvements were assessed accurately with Gait analysis.

Ferritic stainless steels for the SOFC interconnect applications are required to possess not only a good oxidation resistance, but also a high electrical conductivity of the oxide scale that forms during exposure at the SOFC operating environment. In order to understand the effects of alloying elements on the oxidation behavior of ferritic stainless steels and on the electrical properties of oxide scales, two kinds of commercial ferritic stainless steels, STS 430 and STS 444, were investigated by performing isothermal oxidations at $800^{\circ}C$ in a wet air containing 3% $H_{2}O$. The results showed that STS 444 was superior to STS 430 in both of the oxidation resistance and the area specific resistance. Although STS 444 contained a less amount of Mn for the $(Mn,Cr)_{3}O_{4}$ spinel formation than STS 430, the minor alloying elements of Al and Mo in STS 444, which were accumulated in the base metal region adjacent the scale, were suggested to reduce the scale growth rate and to enhance the scale adherence to the base metal.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Hoehn-Yahr scale on the activation of lower-extremity muscles during walking. Electromyography (EMG) analysis was carried out on 36 patients with Parkinson's disease in the off phase of the medication cycle. We recorded EMG signals of the tibialis anterior (TA), medial gastrocnemius (MG), lateral gastrocnemius (LG), soleus (SOL), rectus femoris (RF), vastus lateralis (VL), semitendinosus (ST) and biceps femoris (BF) using Noraxon 16 channels EMG system during walking at preferred speed. Rectified EMG signals were normalized to reference voluntary contractions (RVC) over a gait cycle at the preferred speed, allowing for an assessment of how the activity was distributed over the gait cycle. Compared to the H & Y Scale 1, H & Y Scale 3 exhibited greater activation of the vastus lateralis during mid-stance and greater activation of the medial gastrocnemius during terminal swing. Compared to the H & Y Scale 1, H & Y Scale 2 and 3 exhibited less activation of the tibialis anterior during initial swing. We conclude that the more Hoen & Yahr Scale increase, the more abnormal lower-extremity muscles activation.

Objectives: This case report presents the effects of traditional Korean medicine on a patient with idiopathic bilateral facial nerve palsy. Methods: Two evaluation scales, the House-Brackmann (H-B) scale and the Yanagihara scale, were used to evaluate the symptoms of bilateral facial palsy. Herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment were administered to improve the patient's symptoms in parallel with Western oral medication (Valvirus Tab 500 mg, Solondo 5 mg, Lipitor 20 mg, Almagel 15 ml, Lanston 15 mg). Results: Before treatment, the patient had severe facial paralysis with an H-B scale of 5/5 and a Yanagihara scale of 3/2 on both sides. However, after treatment, the symptoms improved significantly with an H-B scale of 2/3 and a Yanagihara scale of 31/26. Conclusions: This case report shows that traditional Korean medicine in parallel with Western oral medication can be effective in the treatment of idiopathic bilateral facial nerve palsy.

The corrosion behavior of heat-resistant alloys, More 1 and Super 22H in molten salts of LiCl and $LiCl-Li_2$O was investigated in the temperature range of $650~850^{\circ}C$. In a molten salt of LiCl, a dense protective oxide scale of $LiCrO_2$ was formed, following growth of oxide scale with parabolic kinetics. But in a mixed molten salt of LiCl, a dense protective oxide scale of $LiCrO_2$ was formed, following growth of oxide scale with parabolic kinetics. But in a mixed molten salt of $LiCl-Li_2$O, a porous non-protective scale of Li\ulcorner(Cr, Ni, Fe)\ulcornerO$_2$was formed, following growth of oxide scale with linear kinetics. The corrosion rate increased slowly with the increase of temperature up to $750^{\circ}C$, but above $750^{\circ}C$ rapid increase in corrosion rate observed. The corrosion behavior of Super 22H alloy was similar to that of More 1 alloy, but Super 22H showed higher corrosion resistance than More 1.
