  • Zircon separated from a biotite schist of the Guryong Group in Odesan area, eastern part of the Gyeonggi Massif in Korea were analysed for SHRIMP U-Pb ages. CL images display composite core-rim structures of the zircon, indicating an in-situ overgrowth of zircon through a high-grade metamorphism. The metamorphic zircon rims give a weighted mean age of $247{\pm}6Ma$. While the detrital zircon cores have zoning patterns and Th/U ratios indicative of a magmatic origin. Among 53 analyses from the cores, 46 data yield near concordant ages which are concentrated at $378{\pm}10Ma$ (n=9), $420{\pm}4Ma$ (n=6) and $1845{\pm}9Ma$ (n=18) with sporadic Neoproterozoic ($687{\pm}9Ma$) to late Archean ($2519{\pm}20Ma$) ages. The age data constraint sedimentation age of protolith of the Guryong Group, so far unknown, as late Paleozoic. The Guryong Group of this study is the first late Paleozoic strata reported from eastern Gyeonggi Massif, and its maximum depositional age (ca 378 Ma) is identical with those of the late Paleozoic strata in the southwestern Ogcheon Belt. The Triassic metamorphic age and abundant middle Paleozoic provenance (361~425 Ma) of the Guryong Group are similar with those reported from the Triassic collisional belt in central China. Thus this study indicates that the Odesan area would be an possible eastward extension of the Triassic collisional belt in central China.

  • A fragmented urban heat island is observed over the Seoul metropolitan area. Long-term (1996-2003) hourly temperature, wind speed and direction, and precipitation data observed at 26 (51) automatic weather stations (AWS) in Seoul (Gyeonggi prevince) makes it possible to reveal more dynamic spatial and temporal patterns of the urban heat island in this area than previously revealed. • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the international marketing program (hereunder refer to as 'program') among the programs to support export conducted by the Small and Medium Business Administration. Especially, this study aims to analyze the effects of the program to increase in export for small - medium enterprises of less than 7 years (base on Item 2 of Article 2 of Act on Support for Small and Medium Enterprise Establishment). In order to achieve the purpose above, export result for 1,690 companies which participated through Gyeonggi District Small and Medium Business Administration in 2014 and 2015 were selected among the 843 companies that applied to the program through 12 local small and medium business administration in Korea and quantitative analysis on export performance of 1,690 companies is conducted in this study. In this study, main variables were selected by investigating advanced researches related to export performance of company based on the existing studies. And also, samples have been collected from companies in Gyeonggi area for this research since the companies in Gyeonggi area have been ranked as the 1s annually and the companies in Gyeonggi area employ the highest number of people per industry. As a result of actual proof analysis, Firstly, it was suggested that the program influences positively on the export performance of small-medium enterprises. Secondly, the program shows that the program influenced positively on the export performance of companies with less than 7 years. Lastly, it suggested that the program influenced more positively on the small - medium enterprises with less than 7years than normal small - medium enterprises. By adding the export performances of companies in Ulsan area of which the scale of import and export is the 2nd largest and companies in Seoul area, that participated in the program during the same period, I would like to conduct follow- up research if the significant results are obtained or not.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the arrangement of parks, in whole city level by using park's effective distance and to find the accessibility obstacles in case of using parks, in boundary of each parks' effective distance, so that to show how to improve communities' usage of city parks. The 8 cities in Gyeonggi-do and analysed the effective distance of parks. To find the accessibility obstacles in the boundary of parks' effective distance, 1) we choose 18 sample parks and extract obstacles - wide road, rail road, river- in interior and verify it by field survey and asking the park user's residents directly. The main findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, Ansan city and Goyang city are only satisfied with the minimal city parks size standard, so that the rest 6 cities are lack of quantities which residents can use. The result of analyzing effective distance in whole city level, parks are mainly designated in new-town, so that most cities which have old-towns have very poor park systems to use. Because Ansan city is new-planned city, it is very effective arrangement in park systems exceptionally. Second, $96.2\%$ of park users' are living in the area which was easy to gain access not intercepted by wide road, rail road or river. Third, therefore at the stage of planning park, effective distance and resident's accessibility as well as park's supply quantitatively are needed to be considered. In addition, selection of location and elevation of resident's safety and accessibility through making a plan must be reflected. In the low accessibility area, the program to improve park's accessibility and amenity - like making small park or pocket park, linking parks with resident-friendly road etc.- has to be investigated.

  • Objectives: Stress during adolescence is related to undesirable nutritional intake and negatively affects the growth and development. This study was performed to investigate the relationship among life stress, dietary behaviors and the intake of high-fat containing snacks in male and female high school students in Gyeonggi-do area. Methods: The subjects were 700 high school students (350 males, 350 females) in Gyeonggi-do from July to September 2014 and the survey was performed by using questionnaire that included general characteristics, dietary behaviors, high-fat containing snacks intake, and daily life stress. Results: There was a gender difference in health-related life style and dietary behaviors, and the life stress was significantly higher in female students than in male students. For health-related life style, exercise frequency, hours of sleep and conversation time with parents had significantly negative correlations with life stress, while smoking and perceived stress had significantly positive correlations with life stress. For dietary behaviors, the frequency of eating-out had a significantly negative correlation with life stress, while the changes in amount of meal intake under stress had a significantly positive correlation with life stress. The fat intake of 'high-stress group' was significantly higher and high-fat containing snacks consumed by this group consisted of cookies, honey bread and fried foods. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop appropriate programs for the emotional stability and stress relief of adolescents that provide continuous nutrition education focused on proper snack intake, desirable dietary behaviors and nutritional aspects.
