  • Recently, domestic silk fibroin (SF) hydrolysates have been studied intensively by several researchers. The functional properties of domestic SF hydrolysates depended on the hydrolysis method and the molecular weight of SF. However, the functional characteristics of wild SF hydrolysates have yet to reported. (omitted)

  • Using gel filtration chromatography (GFC), pure separation of high molecular silk fibroin was obtained and silk fibroin microsphere particles (SFMP) could be simply made by spray dryer method. Also, some of its physicochemical properties and morphology were investigated. The average molecular weight (Mw) of pure silk fibroin protein dissolved in calcium chloride is about 61, 500 g/mol as measured by gel permeation chromatography(GPC). (omitted)

  • Silk sericin (SS) is one of essential components of cocoon filament, comprising granular and high molecular proteins with adhesive and gelatin-like characteristics. Silk fibroin (SF), another main component of cocoon filament, has been investigated by many researchers due to its good physicochenucal properties. Recently, Nam and Park reported that the effect of alcohol addition into the SF solution on the morphology and structural charateristics of SF. (omitted)

  • This paper seeks to contemplate the background of the advent of acupuncture specialists and the social status of doctors including acupuncture specialists, by examining their activities of in the times of SunJo, GwangHaeGun, and InJo through the chronicles of Chosun Dynasty's Official Records. In addition, the meaning of Lee Hyung Ik's BunChimSool, which was even referred to as 'peculiar', and what diseases were meant to be cured by it were looked into.

  • The nonlinear three-wave interaction is an interesting topic having various applications in nonlinear optics, hydrodynamics, acoustic waves, and plasma physics. The resonant interaction between two laser pulses and a plasma wave plays important roles in plasma heating, laser reflection in the inertial confinement fusion (ICF), plasma wakefield generation, and ultra-intense laser pulse amplification and pulse compression using stimulated Raman backscattering (RBS). • A Signal processor for the open-loop fiber optic gyroscope(FOG) is equipped with a stabilizer to reduce the error due to drift of fiber phase modulator (FPM). The stabilizer is designed to be operated to maintain the ratio of amplitude and phase between harmonics in the FOG signal. When FPM stabilizer is used, the temperature drift of FOG is reduced to less than 0.5 deg/hr in change of 20$^{\circ}C$.
