1. Objectives This study is to find changes of Dongmu Lee Je-Ma's conception about Soeumin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease through comparing with his writings such as ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sasang chobon guen${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Gabobon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sinchucbon${\lrcorner}$. 2. Methods We compared conceptions, symptom, mechanism and treatment of Soeumin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease in ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sasang Chobonguen${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Gabobon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sinchucbon${\lrcorner}$ 3. Results and Conclusions (1) In ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sasang Chobonguen${\lrcorner}$, Dongmu Lee Je-Ma?s conception about soeumin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease is yet based on previous traditional medicine based on ${\ulcorner}$DongEuiBoGam${\lrcorner}$ (2) In ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Gabobon${\lrcorner}$, Seupgwakran(습곽란(濕藿亂)) is described within the catego of Taeum syndrome(태음병(太陰病)), and Geongwakran(건곽란(乾藿亂)) is described within the catergory of Soeum syndrome(소음병(少陰炳)). But conception about Soeurnin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease is not yet definitely settled. (3) In ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sinchucbon${\lrcorner}$, Geongwakran(건곽란(乾藿亂)) is described within a severe case of Taeum syndrome(태음병(太陰病)) ? Dongmu Lee Je-Ma? s conception about Soeurnin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease is changed.

1. An analysis of "GuGeupGanIBang(救急簡易方)" through Gwakran(霍亂) showed that the reference books are not concretely cited, but the symptoms are described in detail ed to let the common people understand and deal with Gwakran(霍亂) easily. It has the most detailed among Korean annotation emergency treatment books. It focuses on moxibustion and hot medicinal compress rather than acupuncture. The Korean annotation is translated in the order of the Korean language, so anyone can execute the treatments. The annotation used a lot of active verbs, so it is more of a book for the patient, not the doctor. So we can understand that this book is focused on the practical tips at an actual emergency situation. 2. "GuGeupGanIBang(救急簡易方)" is the most complete emergency treatment book and a Hangul medical book, which is scarce. It was published shortly after the invention of Hangul. It is an important material showing how terms related to medicine such as disease, prescriptions, symptoms were understood and expressed. As it is important in both medical book presswork study and Korean language study, it is designated as treasure. 3. The existing "GuGeupGanIBang(救急簡易方)" seem to be a reissued version. It is also not complete and scattered in several places. Volumes 1,2,3,6 and 7 survived, and volumes 4,5 and 8 have not been found yet.

Objective : The objective of this study is to report a case of atopic dermatitis (AD) treated with Hoeyeok-tang. Methods : We retrospectively reviewed the course of herbal medicine treatment in a 20-year-old male patient with a topic dermatitis. Changes in main symptoms were confirmed based on the gross findings and assessed using SCORing Atopic Dermatitis(SCORAD) Index. Accompanying symptoms and side effects that can be referred to for diagnosis were analyzed By referring to the clinical records. Results : According to the Shanghanlun provision, the patient's AD was diagnosed with Terminal-yin Gwakran 389^th provision. The patient was treated with Hoeyeok-tang for 90 days. The severity of pruritus decreased, and SCORAD Index was decreased from 44.6 to 8.4. VAS for eye fatigue and nausea was decreased from 10 to 5, also. No particular side effects occurred to the patient while taking the Hoeyeok-tang. Conclusions : The result suggests the clinical applicability of 389^th provision of Shanghanlun.
