지상파 DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) 시장의 활성화를 위한 방송망과 통신망이 융합되는 개인화된 방송 소비 환경을 이용한 메타데이터 기반 맞춤시청형 DMB 서비스 모델과 이를 위해 TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association)에서 제정한 DMB ECG(Electronic Content Guide) XML 표준에 대해 소개한다. 또한, DMB ECG XML 표준의 정확성과 DMB ECG 서비스의 유효성 검증을 위해 개발한 맞춤시청형 DMB 시스템에 대해 DMB ECG 메타데이터 저작단계에서부터 단말 소비단계에 이르는 전단계에 걸쳐 상세히 설명하고, 지상파 방송 실험(KBS)과 이동통신사와의 시범서비스(LGT) 수행 결과를 제시하여, 맞춤시청형 DMB 시스템의 표준 부합성과 효용성, 그리고 이동멀티미디어 방송 시장에서의 가능성을 보인다.

As the number of broadcasting channels and programs increases rapidly, the importance of personalized service has been emphasized. In this paper, we propose a practical framework of metadata broadcasting to provide personalized service according to user preferences and various terminal/network conditions. First, we present an overall system architecture of a metadata broadcasting system and then propose several core technologies (particularly in the parts of metadata authoring, metadata encoding, and metadata-based personalized content consumption). For interoperability, the proposed solution is designed to be compliant with the relevant standards of the TV-Anytime Forum, MPEG-7 Systems, and MPEG-2 Systems. Considering a home network environment, we also propose a metadata-based content adaptation scheme. Each component technology has been implemented individually, integrated into an end-to-end prototype broadcasting system, and successfully tested with a set of personalized service scenarios that are also developed in this study.

이 연구는 장애인을 포함하여 조력자 및 연구자 등을 위한 효과적이고 체계적인 주제가이드 및 서비스 모델을 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌연구를 통한 이론적 검토와 국내 외 사례조사를 통해 주제가이드 및 서비스 모델구축 방안을 모색하였다. 이 연구는 주제가이드 및 서비스 모델에 대한 자료유형 도출, 각 자료유형에 대한 메타필드 항목 및 표준화된 포맷 개발, 이용자 맞춤형 서비스를 위해 장애유형별, 서비스대상별, 생애주기별, 매체형태별, 기관유형별 주제가이드 서비스 모델을 제시하였다.

서비스 지향 아키텍처(Service Oriented Architecture, 이하 SOA)는 독립적으로 실행 가능하며, 외부 인터페이스를 통해서만 접근 가능한 서비스를 재사용 단위로 하는 재사용 패러다임이다. 이러한 SOA를 적용하여 시스템을 개발하기 위한 노력이 지속적으로 시도 되고는 있지만, SOA를 기반으로 하는 표준화된 방법론은 아직 정립되지 않고 있다. 그러므로 SOA를 이용한 시스템 개발은 현재 많은 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 레거시 시스템을 지원하기 위한 기능기반 모델의 서비스 지향 개발방법론을 제안한다. 그리고 기존의 제안된 SOA 방법론의 분석을 통하여 레거시 시스템에 적용 가능한 기능 중심의 재사용성을 정형화된 방법을 제안함으로써 서비스 재활용도를 높일 수 있는 가이드라인을 제공한다.

Purpose : Centering on users(patients) who are offered the patient transport service by the emergency medical service system in our country, the use and satisfaction are analyzed with the transport service in 119 Emergency Medical Service System and Private transport agent. Results : 1. As for personnel in ambulance cars, 119 emergency staff showed a higher boarding rate of the first-class emergency medical technicians than private transportation centers : 48.4% and 17.7%, respectively. 2. Private transportation centers showed higher user satisfaction with transportation service than 119 emergency staff, which was not statistically significant. 3. As for the case that needs to receive the transport service in the future, the ratio with the will to use 119 Emergency Medical Service System(70.9%) was indicated to be much higher than the ratio of the private transport agent(29.1%). Suggestions : First, Centers transporting first-aid patients should essentially secure a sufficient number of first-class emergency medical technicians as professional emergency medical staff to reinforce qualitative improvement in emergency medical service. Second, It is necessary to establish a systematic monitoring system and develop educational programs in order to enhance satisfaction with the use of 119 emergency staff. Third, the government or the local government needs to positively support and guide the private transport agent, which is in charge of the public medical service.

This paper presents structural analyses performed on the white body of vehicle using the most competitive analyzer, Finite Element Method, and attempts to obtain design criteria of body. By applying the substructure and restart technique to structural model, computation time is reduced. The synthetic processing from modelling to graphic visualization is accomplished by several subprograms, viz., various pre-post processors. On the basis of home-made vehicle modeling, typical cases of accident and service load is analyzed and discussed. The results obtained will guide the designer to design the structure optimally.

Base Station Controller which belongs to IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunication - 2000) network has several types of structure for efficient control protocol. This difference of structure occurs two different protocols for call handling. Recently the need of IMT-2000 is highly increasing, so it is important to analyze the performance of processors and IPC(Inter-Processor Communication) module with structure of BSC and protocol difference. This paper presents the performance comparison of different types of BSC in view of processor utilization, waiting time, queue length and QoS(Quality of Service) through the simulation model.

본 논문에서는 어플리케이션 가입자의 주소록 정보를 기반으로 한 번호 확인 서비스에 대하여 설명한다. 이 서비스는 사용자 주소록에 존재하지 않는 번호로 전화가 왔을 때, 주소록에 등록된 지인들의 주소록을 검색하여 그 번호의 존재 여부를 알려준다. 이를 통해 지인간의 식별된 전화번호 그룹을 형성할 수 있게 되며, 원치 않은 통화를 피하고 잠재적 지인의 연락을 선택적으로 받아들일 수 있다.

Competitiveness of service industry in Korea is relatively lower than OECD countries'. Korean government, therefore, has been trying to improve the competitiveness of service industry by accelerating information technology (IT) adoption. Even though most of factors of IT can be contributed to improve the financial performance, it may be affected differently among various industry types and life cycles of companies. Therefore, it is one of very important research issues to analyze the influential effect of IT considering industry types and organizational life cycles in service industries. The purpose of this study is to find out critical success factors of IT which influence financial performance considering different types and life cycles of service industries. We developed the model and identified key success factors of IT adoption as IT system quality, Information quality, IT maintenance, CEO support, IT education of organization, and IT competence of user. Additional analysis of moderating effect by organizational life-cycle and types of service industry are conducted. For data sampling 856 companies are participated and total 2,000 questionnaires are collected. Structural equation modeling method is conducted for statistical analysis. The results show that the model is valid and most of success factors of it are very useful for improving financial performance of service industries except organizational IT education. Moderating effect of industry types and organizational life cycles is valid but partially accepted. The results might be able to provide useful directions and guide lines of IT acceleration in service industries.

디지털방송이 시작되고, 방송 매체가 다양해지면서 시청자가 볼 수 있는 방송 채널과 프로그램의 수가 증가하고 있다 이 많은 방송 채널중에서 시청자가 자신이 원하는 프로그램을 찾기 위해서는 기존의 프로그램 가이드만으로는 한계가 있다. TV-Anytime Forum(TVAF)에서는 메타데이터를 기반으로 시청자가 원하는 발송 콘텐츠를 원하는 시간에 소비할 수 있는 맞춤형 방송 서비스를 제공하는 방법에 대해서 규격화하였다. 방송 콘텐츠 중에서 특히 데이터방송 콘텐츠는 일반 AV 콘텐츠와는 다른 구조를 갖고 있으며, 따라서 데이터방송을 위한 새로운 메타데이터의 구조나 전승서버와 단말에서의 동작 메커니즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 TV-Anytime(TVA) 메타데이터를 이용하여 맞춤형 데이터방송 서비스를 제공하기 위한 방법에 대해서 설명할 것이다.
