무선데이터 서비스 품질 측정 시스템의 신뢰성 검증 및 평가 (Assessment and Validation of the Reliability of Quality Measurement System for Wireless Data Services)

  • The user increases around the WiBro and in which the mobile broad band service is the wireless internet base technology HSDPA, that is the cellular phone foundation technique, and moreover the issue about the user effective quality guarantee emerges but the quality control of the wireless network is the incomplete actual condition. Therefore, the reliability verification according to the development of the system for the performance measure for the continued wireless data service and it and evaluation are needed for the quality control. In this paper, the wireless data service quality measurement system was implemented with the design. The same test environment as the existing network performance measurement program was built for the reliability verification of the embodied device for measuring quality and evaluation and the cost performance was performed. It could confirm that design and embodied wireless data service quality measurement system operated accurately in this paper through the quality measure result value analysis.

  • Big Data is a data analysis technology empowered by late advances in innovations and engineering. In any case, big data involves a colossal responsibility of equipment and handling assets, making reception expenses of big data innovation restrictive to little and medium estimated organizations. Cloud computing offers the guarantee of big data execution to little and medium measured organizations. Big Data preparing is performed through a programming worldview known as MapReduce. Normally, execution of the MapReduce worldview requires organized joined stockpiling and equal preparing. The computing needs of MapReduce writing computer programs are frequently past what little and medium measured business can submit. Cloud computing is on-request network admittance to computing assets, given by an external element. Normal arrangement models for cloud computing incorporate platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS), framework as a service (IaaS), and equipment as a service (HaaS).

VoD 시스템에서 탐욕적 선행 전송 기법 (Greedy Precedent Frame Transmission Technique in VOD System)

  • 최근 컴퓨팅 기술과 네트워크 기술의 발전으로 초고속 인터넷이 널리 보급되고 있지만 높은 대역폭을 필요로 하는 어플리케이션들의 점유율도 높아지면서 트래픽 혼잡으로 인한 네트워크 장애 발생율도 증가하고 있다. 데이터 전송에 시간적 제한을 갖는 어플리케이션인 VoD 시스템에서 네트워크 장애 발생 빈도가 증가하면 스트리밍의 지터로 인한 QoS의 저하를 초래할 수 있다. 기존의 인터넷 기반 스트리밍에 관한 연구들에서는 네트워크의 변화에 따라 적응적으로 QoS(Quality of Service)를 조절하는 기법들을 제시하여 왔다. 하지만 이는 서비스 제공자 입장에서의 문제 해결이며 네트워크상태에 상관없이 일정한 QoS를 원하는 사용자에게는 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 장애에 대비하여 선행하는 미디어 프레임을 탐욕적으로 전송함으로써 일정한 QoS를 보장하고자 하는 GPFT(Greedy Precedent Frame Transmission)기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 GPFT기법은 네트워크의 가용한 대역폭이 높을 경우 정상적인 프레임 재생율보다 빠르게 선행하는 프레임을 전송시켜 미리 클라이언트의 버퍼에 저장하도록 한다. 네트워크 장애 발생시 프레임들이 전달되지 않더라도 클라이언트의 버퍼에 저장된 선행 프레임들을 재생함으로써 사용자가 느끼는QoS를 일정한 수준으로 유지할 수 있도록 한다. 실험을 통하여 비디오 스트림의 특성을 분석하였으며 이를 바탕으로 네트워크 상태에 따라 적응적으로 선행하는 프레임을 빠르게 전송함으로써 기존 방식에 비해 QoS를 일정하게 유지할 수 있음을 보였다.

연속적 근사법에 의한 물류시스템의 경쟁적 시간보장 의사결정 최적화에 관한 연구 (The Competitive Time Guarantee Decisions Via Continuous Approximation of Logistics Systems)

  • We show how a supplier can peg cost measures to the reliability of his time guarantees via the penalty costs considered in the framework. The framework also enables us to study the connections between the logistics network and the market. In this context, we show that even when the market base increases significantly, the supplier can still use the logistics network designed to satisfy lower demand density, with only a marginal reduction in profit. Finally we show how the framework is useful to evaluate and compare various logistics system improvement strategies. The supplier can then easily choose the improvement strategy that increases his profit with the minimal increase in his logistics costs.

Scheduling with Heterogeneous QoS Provisioning for Indoor Visible-light Communication

  • Visible-light communication (VLC) combined with advanced illumination can be expected to become an integral part of next-generation communication networks. One of the major concerns in VLC implementation is developing resource-allocation schemes in a multi-user scenario. However, the scheduling for heterogeneous quality of service (QoS) traffic has not been studied so far, for the indoor VLC downlink system. In this paper, we creatively introduce effective-bandwidth and effective-capacity theory into the multi-user scheduling (MUS) problem, to guarantee the user's statistical delay QoS. We also take account of the aggregate interference (AI) in the indoor VLC downlink system, and analyze its impact on the user-centric MUS problem for the first time. Simulations show that the AI has a nonnegligible influence on the scheduling result, and that the proposed scheduling scheme could guarantee the user's QoS requirement under the premise of ensuring sum capacity.

멀티미디어 무선 패킷망에서 지연시간을 보장하는 공정큐잉 (Delay Guaranteed Fair Queueing (DGFQ) in Multimedia Wireless Packet Networks)

  • 공정큐잉은 자원이 노드들 간에 공유되는 유선 및 무선 멀티미디어망에서 주요한 주제중의 하나이다. 대부분의 공정큐잉 알고리즘은 GPS 알고리즘에 근거하고 있으며 공정성을 강조하는 반면 망에서 멀티미디어를 서비스를 지원하기 위해서는 필수적인 제한된 지연시간 보장 측면은 간과하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 새로운 공정큐잉 방안인 지연 보장 공정큐잉 (DGFQ, Delay Guaranteed Fair Queueing)을 제안한다. 이 방식은 무선 패킷망에서 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 각 flow 별 지연시간 요구에 맞추어 제한된 지연시간을 보장한다.

  • Result from Amendment of Apartment Houses Decree Customer Service, Recently, the starting point of Defects Liability changed "Criteria of Completion date" to "Delivery date to Divided property". Through the Law amended, There are some inconsistency between "Claim for repairing defects" and "Period of security deposit for repairing defects claim". If someone bought a house after Completion date, Purchasing period of "Claim to security deposit for repairing defects" lapsed without renewal. This research is to identify problems and solutions for improving the system.

STATCOM Helps to Guarantee a Stable System

  • Transmission System Operators are governed by operational security standards that are applied in real time. During system disturbances, the System Operators must rely on the installed protection and control equipment, prior to human intervention. New power electronic solutions bring rapid and repeatable responses to disturbances, which will help System Operators to guarantee a stable system. Last year, Alstom completed the world's first competitively bid STATCOM to support the voltage on National Grid's 400kV network that supplies London and the Southeast from the north of the UK. It is rated ${\pm}75MVAr$ and forms part of a Static Var System (SVS) with a total rating of 0 to 225MVAr. This paper will describe the reasons for its size, location, its chain-link configuration and give examples of its operating performance. The paper will also describe the features that allow this STATCOM to deliver much more than reactive compensation in support of a wider transmission service objective, as system conditions require.

헤도닉 가격모형을 이용한 개인컴퓨터의 비시장 속성에 대한 가치추정 (Applying Hedonic Price Model to Analyzing Non-market Characteristic of Personal Computer)

  • The purpose of this study is to test whether prices of personal computers reflect their varying degrees of non-marketable characteristics including after-sales service. This purpose is carried out using the hedonic price model. In this paper, we estimated 74 functional forms of hedonic price model using the quadratic Box-Cox transformation function and selected one based on the three criteria: expected signs, the statistical significance of estimated coefficients, and goodness of fit in terms of root-mean-square-percentage-error. In this study, we found hat as the after-sales service level increases the price of the personal computer increases. This result is consistent with the hypothesis that the less after-sales service offered with a personal computer, the less consumers are willing to pay for the personal computer, when all else remain constant. This finding shows that since the market works indirectly to influence pricing, the need to rely on consumer protection legislation to guarantee after-sales service is lessened. This study also found that after-sales service supported by each personal computer producer is not a free service, thus produces have a profit incentive for providing after-sales service.

DiffServ 방식의 Assured Service를 위한 자원 할당 및 RIO 변수 설정 방안의 제안 (A Configuration method of RIO for the Assured Service in Differentiated Services)

  • 본 논문은 DiffServ 방식의 Assured Service에 대한 서비스 제공 방안으로서 Assured Service 서브 클래스별로 할당하는 대역폭의 양을 차별화하여 요구되는 버퍼 크기에 따라 서브 클래스별로 보장하는 최대 지연시간을 상대적으로 차등화 하였다. 또한 In-profile 트래픽에 대한 수율과 링크 이용률을 극대화 시킬 수 있도록 네트워크 토폴로지와 Assured Service 서브 클래스별로 할당되는 대역폭의 비율에 따라 결정되는 버퍼 크기를 기준으로 RIO 변수 값을 설정하고 접속제어의 기준이 되는 출력링크 대역폭의 크기를 설정하는 방안을 제안하였다. 시물레이션 결과는 제안하는 방식을 통해 Assured Service에 대한 서비스 수용 용량을 도출할 수 있고, 제안된 RIO 변수 값을 적용하여 In-profile 트래픽의 수율 및 링크 이용률을 극대화시킬 수 있음을 보인다.
