Le Corbusier (1887-1965) is known as a great architect ranking with such master architects as Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe who produced great architectural achievements in an era from the dawning to the maturity of the modem architecture. His works are marked for their peculiarity in expressing his architectural concept as perceived through his artistic sensibility. He has brought the form of his architecture to perfect through the influence of Purism. His architectural concept has instigated him to construct the relations between structure, form and the notion of space through the 'Dom-ino' structural system and the 'Five Principles of the Modem Architecture.' As a result, he has become such an architect as has ripened his works by adopting the 'Modulor' for human measurement. During the decade from 1929 to 1939, he made public the 'Museum of Unlimited Growth' programs in an attempt to give a concrete form to his concept of 'unlimited space' spreading to all directions, which was actually visualized by the constructions of three art museums, located Ahmedabad and Chandigarh in India and Tokyo in Japan. Although a number of researches have so far been publicized on the works and the architectural ideas of Le Corbusier, no systematic research has yet been released on the idea of 'Museum of Unlimited Growth' as a matter of fact. Therefore, this study has set its purpose to grasp the peculiarities of his exhibition space design through an analysis on the characteristics of the 'Museum of Unlimited Growth' so designed as to reflect the concept of a space, which is centrifugally growing. With this purpose in mind, this research is also to suggest how the design of the 'Museum of Unlimited Growth' would influence the modem museum exhibit space. The contents of this study comprise the consideration on the early ideas of Le Corbusier, the typical features of the growing museum and the analysis as well as the integration of his works.
Growth form and surface morphology of NYAB single crystal grown by TSSG technique using a K2O/3MoOS/0.5B203 flux was investigated. In the crystal grown from <100> or <120> seed, prismatic and (101) faces were well developed with different size each other. (001) face was also developed in the crystal grown from <001> seed. While growth hillocks were observed on the prismatic face of the crystal grown from <100> seed, surface striations parallel to neighbor (101) faces were formed on that face of the crystal grown from <001> seed. The (101) faces were grown by two dimensional nucleation growth. (001) face which was developed at slow growth velocity of [001] direction was grown by screw dislocation Anisotropy of growth velocity as to seed orientation affected on crystal morphology and surface morphology.

In the course of screening for selective growth inhibitors against the mycelial form of Candida albicans, we isolated a Streptomyces sp. A6792 from soils. The inhibitor was isolated from the above bacterium and identified through several spectral analyses with UV and mass spectrophotometries, and various NMR. The compound was determined to be a macrocyclic dilactone antibiotic, IKD-8344 (molecular weight: 844, molecular formula: $C_{48}H_{76}O_{12}$). The compound selectively inhibited the growth of mycelial form of C. albicans with an MIC of 6.25 ${\mu}g/ml$. It also exhibited strong inhibitory effect preferentially on the mycelial form of various Candida spp. including C. krusei, C. tropicalis, and C. lusitaniae, with MICs ranging from 1.56 to 25 ${\mu}g$/ml. Furthermore, the compound showed no significant toxicity against SPF ICR mice up to 60 mg/kg. These results suggest that IKD-8344 is a useful lead compound for the development of novel antifungal agents, based on the preferential growth inhibition against Candida spp.
In the course of screening for specific inhibitors against the mycelial form of Candida albicans from natural resources, we have isolated and identified A6792-1 from Streptomyces sp. A6792 by using several chromatographies. By spectral analyses, this compound was determined as 7-oxostaurosporine, having a structure of staurosporine aglycon noiety. 7-Oxostaurosporine exhibited a selective growth inhibitory activity against the mycelial form of Candida spp. up to $100\mu\textrm{g}/disc$ in bioassay. It also exhibited a specific antifungal activity against the mycelial form of Candida spp. including C. krusei, C. albicans, C. tropicalis, and C. lusitaniae with MICs ranging from 3.1 to $25\mu\textrm{g}/ml$ 7-Oxostaurosporine demonstrated no in vivo toxicity in SPF ICR mice. Therefore, this compound may have a considerable potential as an antifungal agent based on the preferential inhibition against growth of the mycelial form of Candida spp., dimorphic fungi.

Growth and survival of the spat of arkshell, Scapharca broughtonii were investigated for the improvement of survival in intermediate culture with different shape of protective net and type of preventive net of spat loss. The growth performance of the spat of arkshell was observed for 60 days by using different forms of protective net, as the exposure form with an average shell length of $12.8{\pm}3.2$ mm(P<0.05), the fish pot form with $12.2{\pm}3.5$ mm, the cylinder form with $11.9{\pm}3.8$ mm and the last one is the rectangular form with $10.9{\pm}3.7$ mm. Their numerical value did not show any marked difference with each other. But in case of survival rate, the fish pot form showed highest survival rate which is 43.7% and the significantly lowest was showed by the exposure form, which is 5.4%(P<0.05). The cylinder form and rectangular form showed 41.2 and 31.6% respectively. And then the growth of the spat of arkshell was observed for 163 days by rearing in a sort of preventive net, the first group was in a blackout curtain with average shell length of $13.9{\pm}3.1$ mm, the next group was in a balsam pear net with $12.9{\pm}3.0$ mm, in a polyethylene net with $11.8{\pm}3.1$ mm and the control with $12.6{\pm}3.3$ mm which was not installed by preventive net of spat loss. The survival rate was 91.5% in a blackout curtain, 90.1% in a polyethylene net, 88.5% in a balsam pear net and 61.5% in a controlled group. It is seen that the highest growth and survival rate were observed in a fish pot form and cylinder form. These results were a little bit difference from those of the spat of arkshell cultured in the form of different preventive nets. There was no significant difference in survival rate in relation to the sorts of preventive net against carrying-away, but there was a difference in survival rate by more than 30% as against the non-installed controlled group. We expect that survival rate would be highly improved in intermediate culture carried out with fish pot form and cylinder form of protective net and preventive net of spat loss.
Prescription filling in powder form is performed in community pharmacy practice to adjust dose for children and patients who cannot swallow whole tablet. However, there are few reports regarding the stability of the active ingredient and possible microbial growth after the medication is dispensed to powder form. This study examined the stability of atenolol, an antihypertensive agent, and microbial growth in the unit dose pouches dispensed at twenty-one community pharmacies located in Taegu area. Randomly chosen first unit dose pouch contained 77.4% of the prescribed dose of the drug and there were only four community pharmacies that dispensed the drug within 10% deviation from the dose prescribed by physician. Surprisingly, there were three community pharmacies that dispensed the drug with greater than 40% deviation, which may pose a major concern regarding the efficacy and safety of the drug prescribed for the treatment of hypertension. Atenolol content during a month did not indicate significant change, showing 5.4%, 4.3%, and 3.3% of decrease in 50%, 80%, and 90% relative humidity conditions, respectively. Microbiological examination during a month showed less than 0.5 microorganism in high power field (hpf) in all the relative humidity conditions tested. Based on this study, pharmacy practice in community pharmacy needs to be rigorously regulated to ensure that the dose of the prescribed drug is properly incorporated into the unit dose pouch dispensed as powder form.
Two new marine sponges in the family Chalinidae, Haliclona (Haliclona) uljinensis n. sp. and Haliclona (Reniera) hongdoensis n. sp., are collected from Uljin and Hongdo Island, Korea during 2004-2007. H. (H.) uljinensis n. sp. is closely related to H. (H.) oculata in type of spicules. However, ectosomal skeleton of H. (H.) uljinensis n. sp. is reticulated and isodictyal reticulated type but H. (H.) oculata has not any dermal specialization in skeleton. The growth form of H. (H.) uljinensis n. sp. is thin encrusting with numerous cylindrical tubes on the surface but H. (H.) oculata is solid branch form. Haliclona (R.) hongdoensis n. sp. is closely related to H. (R.) aquaeductus in skeletal structure and growth form. However, oxeas of H. (R.) hongdoensis n. sp. are larger than H. (R.) aquaeductus's.
Tubulin is synthesized in the cell body and must be delivered to the axon to support axonal growth. However, the exact form in which these proteins, in particular tubulin, move within the axon remains contentious. According to the "polymer transport model", tubulin is transported in the form of microtubules. In an alternative hypothesis, the "short oligomer transport model", tubulin is added to existing, stationary microtubules along the axon. In this study, we measured the translocation of microtubule plus ends in soma segments, the middle of axonal shafts and the growth cone areas, by expressing GFP-EB3 in cultured Xenopus embryonic spinal neurons. We found that none of the microtubules in the three compartments were transported rapidly as would be expected from the polymer transport model. These results suggest that microtubules are stationary in most segments of the axon, thus supporting the model according to which tubulin is transported in nonpolymeric form in rapidly growing Xenopus neurons.
The objective of this study was to estimate variance components and genetic parameters for growth curve parameters in Guilan sheep. Studied traits were parameters of Brody growth model which included A (asymptotic mature weight), B (initial animal weight) and K (maturation rate). The data set and pedigree information used in this study were obtained from the Agricultural Organization of Guilan province (Rasht, Iran) and comprised 8647 growth curve records of lambs from birth to 240 days of age during 1994 to 2014. Marginal posterior distributions of parameters and variance components were estimated using TM program. The Gibbs sampler was run 300000 rounds and the first 60000 rounds were discarded as a burn-in period. Posterior mean estimates of direct heritabilities for A, B and K were 0.39, 0.23 and 0.039, respectively. Estimates of direct genetic correlation between growth curve parameters were 0.57, 0.03 and -0.01 between A-B, A-K and B-K, respectively. Estimates of direct genetic trends for A, B and K were positive and their corresponding values were $0.014{\pm}0.003$ (P < 0.001), $0.0012{\pm}0.0009$ (P > 0.05) and $0.000002{\pm}0.0001$ (P > 0.05), respectively. Residual correlations between growth curve parameters varied form -0.52 (between A-K) to 0.48 (between A-B). Also, phenotypic correlations between growth curve parameters varied form -0.49 (between A-K) to 0.47 (between A-B). The results of this study indicated that improvement of growth curve parameters of Guilan sheep seems feasible in selection programs. It is worthwhile to develop a selection strategy to obtain an appropriate shape of growth curve through changing genetically the parameters of growth model.
