The popularity of the social media has enabled growth of the social network, which has a big impact on culture and arts sector. The impact is based on the fact that news and evaluation of performances are communicated actively through the use of on-line community, and that the advent of social commerce makes more people see better performance at a lower price. Besides, collaboration programs called Social Sourcing are springing up in the arts sector, and there is Crowd Funding for culture & arts which is a desirable form of social funding. In this way social media and social network service (SNS) have huge social influence not only on the performing arts sector but also on the whole culture and arts sector, and are expected to have growing dominance. With SNS - which opened new marketing, publicity and donation system not only for the whole society but also for the culture and arts sector - in mind, this paper handles the topics on understanding of close relationship between SNS and performing arts, and on its current usage, value and endless possibilities. By presenting the practical value and the possibilities, this paper will help in making smooth the communication between stakeholders and audience of performing arts, in making effective the means of performance delivery, and in making enlarged the mutual understanding between performers and audience. This paper will also be the basis of an alternative means, which presents the performing arts sector with possibilities to get out of the chronic deficit.

The current cellular communications are optimized for low mobility users, meaning that their performance is degraded at high speed. Therefore, passengers in a high-speed train experience very poor radio link quality due to the significantly large number of simultaneous handovers. In addition, wireless data traffic is expanding exponentially in trains, subways and buses due to the widespread use of smartphones and mobile devices. To solve the inherent problem of cellular communication networks and meet the growing traffic demand, this paper proposes the mobile hotspot network of a millimeter-wave communication system as a mobile wireless backhaul. This paper describes the physical layer design of uplink and downlink in the proposed system, and the performances of uplink and downlink are evaluated under Rician fading channel conditions. The implemented baseband prototype of the proposed millimeter-wave communication modem is presented. This system can provide a Gbps data rate service in high-speed trains carrying hundreds of wireless Internet users.
Wood filler is a porous and anisotropic material having different size, shape, and aspect ratio. The use of wood fillers such as wood particle, wood flour, and wood pulp in wood plastic composites (WPCs) are growing rapidly because these wood fillers give improved strength and stiffness to WPCs. However, the wood fillers have originally poor compatibility with plastic matrix affecting the mechanical properties of WPCs. Therefore, to improve compatibility between wood and plastic, numbers of physical and chemical treatments were investigated. While the various treatments led to improved performances in WPC industries using petroleum-based plastics, full biodegradation is still issues due to increased environmental concerns. Hence, bio-based plastics such as polylactide and polyhydroxybutyrate having biodegradable characteristics are being applied to WPCs, but relatively expensive prices of existing bio-based plastics prevent further uses. As conventional processing methods, extrusion, injection, and compression moldings have been used in WPC industries, but to apply WPCs to engineered or structural places, new processing methods should be developed. As one system, co-extrusion technique was introduced to WPCs and the co-extruded WPCs having core-shell structures make the extended applications of WPCs possible.

In this paper, the increase in chloride resistance of footing concrete at coastal area was evaluated by replacement of Mineral Admixture. In KBC 2009, the footing concrete's minimum specific concrete strength at coastal area is determined to 35MPa. However, this is criteria only based on the strength aspect. Thus, it is not considered to increase the chloride resistance by replacement of Mineral Admixture. According to the test results of chloride ions penetration resistance, 35MPa class concrete with OPC 100% shown inaccessible state. Low-strength (24~30MPa class) concretes with Mineral Admixture, however, presented better performances. In addition, chloride diffusion coefficient tests showed identical appearance. Therefore, the current KBC's chloride resistance criteria based on only concrete strength has to review for the reason it can cause many problems (ex. cost increases by growing concrete strength and the environmental issues by a lot of cement use).

Advanced computer network technology enables computers to be connected in an open network environment. Despite the growing numbers of security threats to networks, most intrusion detection identifies security attacks mainly by detecting misuse using a set of rules based on past hacking patterns. This pattern matching has a high rate of false positives and can not detect new hacking patterns, which makes it vulnerable to previously unidentified attack patterns and variations in attack and increases false negatives. Intrusion detection and analysis technologies are thus required. This paper investigates the asymmetric costs of false errors to enhance the performances the detection systems. The proposed method utilizes the network model to consider the cost ratio of false errors. By comparing false positive errors with false negative errors, this scheme achieved better performance on the view point of both security and system performance objectives. The results of our empirical experiment show that the network model provides high accuracy in detection. In addition, the simulation results show that effectiveness of anomaly traffic detection is enhanced by considering the costs of false errors.

The numbers of the elder are rapidly growing who wants to enhance social activities, because Korea is already an aging society since 2000. The mobility and accessibility are the key issues to enhance them. The electric motor scooter and the power wheel chair are efficient movable means at a short range. It would be needed to get on and off them if the elder wants use them after arriving a long distant destination. But the electric scooter is too heavy for a man to get on and off a coach van. The motor winch lift is developed for the elder and the handicapped to get on and off a van easily. The lift consists of 3-linkage which can be installed in a trunk of a van with a small space. The clearance and stress of each component are checked by a computer simulation. The prototype was made. and the performances of safety and comfortableness were verified by operational ability test and durability test.
With the advancement of intelligent vehicles and unmanned systems, there is a growing interest in underwater surveys using autonomous marine vehicles (AMVs). This study presents an automated planning strategy for a long-term survey mission using a fleet of AMVs consisting of autonomous surface vehicles and autonomous underwater vehicles. Due to the complex nature of the mission, the actions of the vehicle must be of high-level abstraction, which means that the actions indicate not only motion of the vehicle but also symbols and semantics, such as those corresponding to deploy, charge, and survey. For automated planning, the planning domain definition language (PDDL) was employed to construct a mission planner for realizing a powerful and flexible planning system. Despite being able to handle abstract actions, such high-level planners have difficulty in efficiently optimizing numerical objectives such as obtaining the shortest route given multiple destinations. To alleviate this issue, a widely known technique in operations research was additionally employed, which limited the solution space so that the high-level planner could devise efficient plans. For a comprehensive evaluation of the proposed method, various PDDL-based planners with different parameter settings were implemented, and their performances were compared through simulation. The simulation result shows that the proposed method outperformed the baseline solutions by yielding plans that completed the missions more quickly, thereby demonstrating the efficacy of the proposed methodology.

Hydrogen is bridge fuel with high energy content and environmentally friendly to satisfy the stringent IMO regulation relating to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. There is growing interest in hydrogen in numerous nations and regions illustrated by an extensive range of research and development in technology. Regarding maritime applications, researchers have recognized the utilization of hydrogen as a fuel for fuel cells, a device that converts the chemical energy of the fuel to electrical energy. Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), with high working temperature, is easy to combine with the waste heat recovery cycles/devices to increase output power and thermodynamic performances as well. Furthermore, the cold energy from liquid hydrogen supplied to SOFC can also be used to generate more power. In this study, we proposed a SOFC integrated system with the idea of combining the waste heat recovery from the SOFC exhaust stream and cold energy utilization from LH2. The designation is aimed to target small-scale vessel which uses electric propulsion for short distances voyage.
The present study was conducted to compare the growth performance, carcass characteristics, and meat quality of the egg-type male growing chicken (EM), white-mini broiler (WB), and commercial broiler (Ross 308, CB). A total of 360 1-d-old chicks were reared together using a completely randomized design with 4 replicates for each group under the identical feeding and rearing conditions. The ADG and gain:feed were the highest in CB, intermediate in WB, and the lowest in EM (p<0.05), and the live and carcass weights of CB and EM were significantly higher than those of WB (p<0.05). The pH of breast meat from WB and CB was significantly higher (p<0.05) than that from EM with a similar body weight. The EM had the lowest moisture (p<0.05) and the highest protein content (p<0.05), whereas the fat and ash contents were not different among groups. The mystiric acid (C14:0), palmitoleic acid (C16:1 ${\omega}7$), and oleic acid (C18:1 ${\omega}9$) levels were significantly higher in breast meat from CB (p<0.05). The monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) content showed the highest (p<0.05) levels in CB. In contrast, the polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) contents of breast meat, including linoleic acid (C18:2 ${\omega}6$) and arachidonic acid (C20:4 ${\omega}6$), were higher (p<0.05) in EM and WB than in CB. In conclusion, the EM and WB had less growth performances in comparison with CB, but they each had some unique features (taste, flavor, and physiological characteristics) when raised under the identical rearing and feeding conditions.

Feeding values of soybean hulls (SH) were compared to those of wheat bran (WB) for swine diets by chemical compositions, a digestion trial, a preference test by self-selection, and two feeding trials. The SH and the WB appeared to have, on airdry basis, 11.1 vs. 15.4% CP, 32.5 vs. 8.7% crude fiber (CF), 36.8 vs. 10.7% ADF, 0.6 vs. 0.1% Ca, and 492 vs. 92 ppm Fe, respectively. Lysine and total sulfur-containing amino acids in the SH were 0.66 vs. 0.37%, respectively. Apparent digestibility values of the SH were 71% for dry matter, 50% for CP, and 74% for CF. Apparent digestible energy and MEn values of the SH were 2,420 and 2,370 kcal kg$^-1$, respectively, which were comparable to those of the WB, 2,420 and 2,275 kcal kg$^-1$ (NRC, 1998), respectively. The first feeding trial was conducted with 72 crossbred growing pigs with an average weight of 29.6 kg. The pigs when fed the diets containing 0, 6 and 10% SH by replacing the WB on a weight basis for 42 days did not show significant differences in body weight gain and feed/gain ratio among the treatments. The same trends were observed in the second trial with 60 crossbred finishing pigs with an average weight of 64.5 kg when fed the diets containing 12% SH or WB for 41 days. Back-fat thickness and adjusted loin eye muscle area of the finisher pigs were also not significantly different between the two groups. When allowed to self-select from two different feed troughs containing 10% SH or WB for two weeks, two groups of 80 pigs with 10 pigs per pen consumed the two diets exactly in equal proportion. In conclusion, the soybean hulls can be included up to 10 and 12% for growing or finishing pig diets, respectively, replacing the wheat bran on a weight basis without any adverse effects on palatability of diets and animal performances.
