  • The purposes of this research were to understand the realities of health management and to analyze the subjective, functional, psychological, and social health effects of the application of an exercise and education program to manage health on an elderly population residing in an agricultural community. The specific purposes of this research were: 1. to determine the subjective, functional, psychological health conditions, and performance level of instrumental activities of daily living of both the experimental and control groups before introducing a health management program, and then 2. to compare these with both the experimental and control groups' subjective, functional, psychological health condition and performance level of instrumental activities of daily living after applying the health management program. The health management program was introduced to the experimental group (50 people) but not to the control group (50 people). The health management program was composed of a health exercise program and a health education program. A comparative study of subjective health conditions was done to examine the effect of the health management program and the characteristics of health related variables before and after the program application. Appearance Management Behaviors and Motives by Body Image of College Men (남자 대학생의 신체이미지에 따른 외모관리 행동과 동기)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the appearance management behaviors and motives differentiated by the body image of college men. A questionnaire was designed for the survey and the subjects were 228 college in Pusan and the Kyongnam province, Korea. The statistical analyses were carried out in the forms of frequency, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test. The findings throughout the research are as follows; First, according to the multidimensional body image of the subjects, the college men were classified into three groups, i.e. the appearance concerning and satisfied group, the weight concerning group, and the appearance indifferent group. The appearance management behaviors of the college men consist of innovative appearance management, weight reduction, appearance management through apparel and fashion products, body shape care, skin care, hair care and health care. Second, the weight concerning group showed a higher BMI than those of the other groups. The means of the monthly income and the expenses for the appearance management of the appearance indifferent group were lower than those of the other groups. Third, the college men were generally shown to pursue the motive improving sociality. The appearance concerning and satisfied group and the weight concerning group indicated higher pursuing motives than the appearance indifferent group in the appearance management motives. Finally, there were significant differences in the appearance management behaviors among the three groups. While the weight concerning group showed the more concerning appearance management behaviors, the appearance indifferent group had the least appearance concerning tendency.

  • This is a study on types of foodservice system, the menu, role of the Dietitian, management of the facilities and utensil through the survey conducted at 105 enterprises located in Seoul industrial foodservices which were evenly divided into three groups ; large size of feeding group, medium size of feeding group, small size of feeding group. The sresults are below, 1. Most institutional foodservice was enterprise under direct management. 2. Selective menu was set for the large size of feeding group than small size of feeding group. At budget making, personal management and purchansing management, the dietition role was not important in the large size of feeding group than in the small size of feeding group. 3. Equipped rate of facilities and utensil were greater volume for the large size of feeding group.

The Effect of Appearance Management on Body Image and Psychological Well-Being (외모관리행동에 따른 신체이미지 및 심리적 안녕감)

  • This study aims to examine the difference of body image and psychological well-being of men and women according to appearance management. The subjects of the study were 673 college students who lived in Seoul and metropolitan areas. Statistical analyses used in the study were factor analysis, Cronbach's a, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test and $\chi^2-test$. The results of this study were as follows; 1. The body image was categorized into the three factors of personal interest innce, anxiety about weight and physical attraction. Appearance management was categorized into the appearance management through clothing, strict diet therapy and daily appearance management. The psychological well-being was classified as seven factors which include the life goal, self-acceptance, positive personal relations, self-regulation, personal development, environment control and responsibility. 2. The appearance management was classified by 4 groups as below: Daily appearance management group, strict diet therapy group, appearance management through clothing group and no interest in appearance group. 3. There were significant differences among the four groups regarding body image, psychological well-being and life satisfaction. First, appearance management through clothing group had more interest in appearance than other groups. In the case of weight awareness, strict diet therapy group and the appearance management through clothing group intended to have more concerns over their weight. The strict diet therapy group seemed to have an overall lower level of psychological well-being than other groups. Lastly, the appearance management through clothing group had a higher level of life satisfaction.

A Group Key Management Architecture in Mobile Network Environments (이동네트워크 환경에서의 그룹키 관리구조)

  • In this paper, we propose a group key management architecture for the secure group communications in mobile netwowrks and authenticated key agreement protocol for this system. Most of existing group key management schemes un certificates based on the public key for the purpose of user authentication and key agreement in secure fashion however, we use the ICPK(Implicitly Certified Public key) to reduce the bandwidth for a certificate exchanging and to improve a computational efficiency. In this architecture, we use two-tier approach to deal with key management where the whole group is divided into two parts; the first is a cell groups consisted of mobile hosts and another is a control group consisted of cell group managers. This approach can provide flexibility of key management such that the affection for a membership change is locally restricted to the cell group which is an autonomous area of the CGM(Cell Group Manager).

  • Recently, some applications require the multicast service that transmit messages to multiple destinations in computer communication network enviroment. Multicast service is to send messages to the group which consists of a number of processes. A multicast group is a collection of processes which are destinations of the transmitted messages and these processes may run on one or more hosts. Therefore, it is important to manage each member of process groups in order to provide efficient multicast services. In this paper, we design and implement group management system to support multicast services. Group Management System was designed with Process Group Management System(PGMS) and Host Group Management System(HGMS). We have implemented basic primitives of PGMS, HGMS. Also, membership tree management algorithm is designed and implemented. Membership tree provides the relation of the members of multicast groups and routing Informations.

The Effect of Follow-up Nutrition Intervention Programs Applied Aged Group of High Risk Undernutrition in Rural Area( I ) (영양위험 농촌노인집단에 적용한 영양중재 프로그램의 추후관리 효과( I ))

  • This research was peformed to investigate the anthropometric data, blood profiles, and nutrient intakes of elderly persons living in a rural area. The subjects were 67 undernourished people who participated in follow-up nutrition intervention programs for9 weeks. Anthropometric data showed that the mean heights and weights in the management group were 157.6 cm and 59.1 kg, respectively, for the males and 152.6 cm and 51.0 kg, respectively, for the females. The mean BMIs of the management group were 23.8 kg/m$^2$ in the males and 22.4 kg/m$^2$ in the females. The total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, and albumin levels of the subjects were 181.7-191.4mg/dL, 48.3-53.0mg/dL, and 3.85-4.00g/dL, respectively. Energy, ash, P, Na, vitamin B$_1$, vitamin B$_2$, vitamin B$_6$, and niacin increased significantly after intervention for the management group. The mINQ, however, did not significantly increase after intervention. Also after intervention, there was no significant difference in mINQ between the management group and the comparison group. MAR (14) in the management group was significantly increased from 0.62${\pm}$0.2 before intervention to 0.68${\pm}$0.2 after intervention (p=0.022), and it was significantly different between the management group and the comparison group (p=0.017). MAR (8) in the management group was not significantly different (p=0.915) before and after intervention. However, MAR (8) between the management group and the comparison group did show a significant difference (p=0.031). MAR (3) in the management group was significantly increased from 0.48${\pm}$0.2 before intervention to 0.55${\pm}$0.2 after intervention (p=0.045), however, MAR (3) was not significantly different between the management group and the comparison group (p=0.093). For the probability of nutrient insufficiency, in the management group the probability of nutrient values below the EAR (except for Fe) decreased after intervention compared to before intervention. The Impact of a Simulation-based Education Program for Emergency Airway Management on Self-efficacy and Clinical Performance among Nurses (시뮬레이션 기반 응급기도관리 교육이 간호사의 자기효능감, 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to test the impact of simulation-based education program for emergency airway management on self-efficacy and clinical performance ability. Methods: A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group pre-post test design was used. A total of 60 nurses, 30 nurses assigned to the simulation-based education group and 30 nurses to a traditional lecture group. The treatment group received a lecture, small group workshop and team simulation whereas the comparison group received lectures. Results: The participants in the simulation-based education group reported significantly higher self-efficacy of emergency airway management compared to participants in the lecture only group (t=5.985, p<.001). The simulation-based education group showed significantly higher clinical performance ability of emergency airway management compared with the lecture group (t=5.532, p<.001). Conclusion: Simulation-based education was verified to be an effective teaching method to improve the self-efficacy, clinical performance skills of nurses in the learning of emergency airway management.

Effective group key management protocol for secure multicast communication (안전한 멀티캐스트 통신을 위한 효율적인 그룹키 관리 프로토콜)

  • Unlikely unicast transmission, there are many elements that threaten security. Thus, key management of creating and distributing group keys to authorized group members is a critical aspect of secure multicast operations. To offer security in multicast environment, the recent researches are related to most group key distribution. In this thesis, we propose a group key management protocol for efficient, scalable, and multicast operation. This proposed protocol architecture can distribute traffic centralized to the key server. since the group key rekeyed by sub-group manager. The detailed simulation compared with other group key management protocol show that the proposed group key management protocol is better for join, leave, and data latency.

Brain Preference and Management : An Exploratory Reasoning from the Founders of Samsung and Hyundai Group, Lee and Chung (뇌활용성향과 기업경영 : 이병철회장과 정주영회장을 통한 탐험적 추론)

  • The Purpose of the current study is to identify the differences between Samsung and Hyundai Group and the causes why the differences occurred. The study focuses on the founders of the two group as a main source of the differences, especially brain preference of the two founders. Two steps were employed to perform the study. Firstly, the two founders' characteristics were analyzed by using archival research. It was implicitly hypothesized that Group founders' characteristics explained the differences of the two Groups. It was found that the founder of Samsung Group, the late president Lee emphasized rationality, analysis, and cause/effect relationship and low risk taking, suggesting that he had left-brain preference. In contrast. the late president Chung, the founder of Hyundai Group, emphasized intuition, wholeness, contextual meaning, and risk taking, showing that he had right-brain preference. Secondly, a comparison between the two groups was performed in terms of business and financial risk in corporate portfolio, and management system. It was found that Hyundai Group was pursuing higher risk than Samsung Group. And it was observed that Samsung Group put more emphasis on formality in decision making and systematic control, and less emphasis on risk taking than Hyundai Group. From the two step research relationship between brian preference and management was reasoned. Research implications and limitations were discussed at the end of the study.
