비피더스발효를 위한 쌀당화액 제조공정의 최적화 (Optimal Preparation of Saccharified Rice Solution for Bifidobacterium Fermentation)

  • Bifidobacterium을 이용한 쌀발효제품의 개발을 위하여 쌀의 분쇄 정도와 호화, 당화공정에서의 최적조건을 찾고 당화에 사용되는 ${\alpha}-amylase$와 glucoamylase의 적정 첨가량과 당화시간을 조사하여 쌀 당화액 발효의 최적 조건을 확립하고자 하였다. 찰의 전처리 공정으로서 분쇄는 충격식 분쇄기를 사용하여 30초간 분쇄한 것이 당화 효율이 가장 우수하였으며, 당화공정에서는 호화 전 예비가온 후 호화시킨 것이 예비가온을 하지 않았을 경우에 비해 당화 후 당도가 높았다. 호화시간은 40분 처리시 당도가 가장 높았고, 당화 후 환원당량을 조사한 결과 ${\alpha}-amylase$ 0.135 unit/g rice powder와 glucoamylase 3.375 unit/g rice powder를 첨가하여 75분간 당화시 환원당량은 38.7 mg/ml로 가장 빠른 시간에 높은 환윈당을 갖게 되었다. Bifidobacterium을 이용하여 $37^{\circ}C$에서 48시간 동안 발효하면서 이화학적 특성과 Bifidobacterium수를 측정한 결과 쌀 당화액은 혐기성 Bifidobacterium의 까다로운 영양 요구성에 적합한 기질임을 확인하였다.

  • To improve the accuracy of a machine, research needs to be conducted on the relationship between the output variables and design variables of a spindle-shaped part from the thermal and static viewpoints. Therefore, research was carried out by examining the correlation of each variable to find the optimum conditions. Moreover, DOE (design of experiments) was extensively used. The model used in this study was a grinding spindle to which a hydrostatic bearing was applied. This model was used in a preliminary analysis based on the experimental results of the previous studies. The influences of the output variables and design variables were compared through a main effect analysis. Generated response surfaces were applied to the Kriging model. To optimize the model, a screening method was selected. In comparison with the initial model, the deformation of the optimized model designed by DOE decreased by 4.1 μm, while the thermal deformation decreased by 1.2 μm. Therefore, it was efficient to design a spindle-shaped part through DOE to improve the accuracy of the machine.

  • Recently, a double-side machining process has been adopted in fabricating a sapphire glass to enhance the manufacturability. Double-side lap grinding (DLG) is one of the emerging processes that can reduce process steps in the fabrication of sapphire glasses. The DLG process uses two-body abrasion with fixed abrasives including pallet. This process is designed to have a low pressure and high rotational speed in order to obtain the required material removal rate. Thus, the temperature is distributed on the DLG platen during the process. This distribution affects the shape of the substrate after the DLG process. The coolant that is supplied into the cooling channel carved in the base platen can help to control the temperature distribution of the DLG platen. This paper presents the results of computational fluid dynamics with regard to the heat transfer in a DLG platen, which can be used for fabricating a sapphire glass. The simulation conditions were 200 rpm of rotational speed, 50℃ of frictional temperature on the pallet, and 20℃ of coolant temperature. The five cases of the coolant flow rate (20~36 l/min) were simulated with a tetrahedral mesh and prism mesh. The simulation results show that the capacity of the generated cooling system can be used for newly developed DLG machines. Moreover, the simulation results may provide a process parameter influencing the uniformity of the sapphire glass in the DLG process.

추출 방법과 조건에 따른 소나무 지엽 추출효율 변화 (Changes in Extraction Efficiency of Pine Needles depending on Extraction Method and the Condition)

  • The extraction efficiency depending on the extracting methods and the conditions of extraction was investigated. The common steam extraction was compared to the distillation extraction method. The effects of the samples size and the extraction time on the extract yield were also investigated by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. One of the functional components of pine needle extract as the natural phenol base components were detected by the UV-VIS at around 235 nm wavelength range. The absorbance intensity at around 235 nm wavelength of the pine needle extract was used as the indicator of the extraction efficiency in this experiment. The distillation extraction showed the higher extract yield than the steam extraction. The grinding treatment of pine needles also resulted in the better extract performance, but the severe grinding showed a little decrease in the extract yield especially in case of the distillation extraction method. More than half of the extract was collected at the first stage of the extraction, that was the first 15 minutes in the total 60 minutes extraction.

  • 본 연구는 혐기성 소화를 이용한 음식물쓰레기와 하수슬러지 병합처리를 위한 음식물쓰레기 전처리 공정 방안을 모색하기 위하여 수행되었다. 음식물쓰레기 전처리 공정에 따른 음식물쓰레기 단위 공정별 성상 변화와 산발효조 적정 투여 기초조사 및 음식물쓰레기와 하수슬러지 혼합비 특성변화를 통한 산발효조의 효율 향상방안을 검토하였다. 연구결과, 음식물쓰레기의 구성성분은 대부분이 곡류와 채소류로 산발효 공정에서 유기산으로 전환될 가능성이 충분한 것으로 판단되며, 산발효조 투입시 TS의 적정한 범위를 위한 음식물쓰레기와 희석수의 비율은 1:5가 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 음식물쓰레기 분쇄 후 입도 분포 특성을 고려할 때 약 8mm 이하의 입자가 적합하며, 음식물쓰레기와 하수슬러지 슬러지의 혼합비는 3:7 이하가 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of the post weld treatments on the fatigue life of T-type welded structure made by a SM50A steel material, generally used for excavators, because changes in the geometry, material and surface properties of welded regions affect the fatigue life of welded structures. T-type test specimens were prepared by the CO2 welding of rolled steel plates (SM50A steel) with a thickness of 10 mm at a welding speed of 30 cm/min and these Ttype welded specimens were further treated by UIT (Ultrasonic Impact Treatment) and/or toegrinding post welding treatment methods. In order to investigate improvements on the fatigue life of the samples. 3-point bending fatigue tests were conducted with a stress ratio of R=0.1 under a cyclic loading environment at a frequency of 5 Hz, via a hydraulic fatigue testing machine (${\pm}100\;kN$, MTS 809). The tests were performed at room temperature. The fatigue life of UIT specimens was approximately 25 times longer than that of as-welded specimens at a stress amplitude of 281 MPa, while toe-grinding specimens exhibited 4.15 times longer fatigue life. The current results could provide important guidelines to determine the proper post weld treatment methodologies of T-type welded parts for excavators with a satisfactory fatigue life although under severe operating conditions.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에 의치한 관인광산의 바나듐 함유 티탄철광(vanadium titanium magnetite, VTM) 광석 대상으로 기계적 분쇄에 의한 결정구조를 평가하고자 다양한 조건에서의 유성 볼밀을 통한 기계적 분쇄를 수행하였으며, 산물에 대하여 결정구조 거동을 평가하였다. 사용된 관인광산 VTM 광석은 자철석과 티탄철석이 주요 광종이며, 주요 맥석광종은 철기반 실리케이트로 확인되었다. 유성 볼밀에 의한 기계적 활성화 결과에 따르면 분쇄메디아(볼) 크기는 크기가 작을수록 결정화도 및 결정크기가 감소하였으며, 시료/볼 충전은 시료가 투입이 적을수록 무정형화가 크게 일어남을 확인되었다. 게다가, 분쇄운전 변수인 분쇄속도 및 시간은 증가할수록 결정구조의 변화가 크게 관찰되었으며, 볼 크기 및 시료/볼 충전비보다도 분쇄속도 및 시간에 의한 결정구조 거동의 영향을 크게 주는 것으로 확인되었다.

조선업 작업장의 작업환경 및 산업용 보호복의 착의실태 (The Work Environment and Wearing Conditions of Industrial Protective Clothing in Shipbuilding Workshops)

  • This study examined the work environment and wearing conditions of industrial protective clothing in shipbuilding workshops. It also investigated the relationship between the wearing sensation of industrial protective clothing and overall comfort, according to work process. In addition, the work posture according to work process was evaluated based on ergonomic factors. The wearing rate of industrial protective clothing was 73.3%, 66.7%, and 60.1% for workers engaged in welding, grinding, and painting, respectively. The harmful work environment factors, listed from most harmful to least harmful, were found to be high temperature pyrogens, noxious fumes, organic solvents, UV rays, and heavy dust. The aspect of wearing performance of industrial protective clothing that was most related to user dissatisfaction was poor sweat absorbency. In terms of the correlation between the overall comfort and the wearing sensation of industrial protective clothing, the satisfaction was low shown in orders of physiological comfort, sensual comfort, and movement comfort.

  • Hard turning replaces grinding for finishing process with expectations of higher productivity and demanded surface quality. Especially for the surface roughness as surface quality demanded in finishing process of hard turning, know-how of machining characteristics of hardened materials by cutting force analysis should be accumulated in company with achievement of precision of elements and high stiffness design technology in hard turning. Considering chip formation mechanism of hardened materials, adequate cutting conditions are selected for machining experiments and cutting forces are measured according to cutting conditions. Increase of cutting forces especially thrust force and increase of dynamic instability could occur in hard turning. Analysis of dynamic characteristics of the cutting forces is executed to investigate relation between dynamic instability and surface roughness in hard turning. Investigation on effects of relative motion of machining system generated by vibration due to dynamic instability shows that ultimate surface roughness could be predicted considering relative motion of machining system with geometrical surface roughness.

  • 본 논문은 산업용 로봇을 위한 힘 피드백 제어 기반의 연마면의 보정과 작업자의 감각을 기반으로 한 정확한 연마면 작업을 대체하기 위한 교시방법을 적용한 연마 결과를 제시하였다. 교시방법은 연마작업의 위치, 경로, 반응에 대한 정밀도 개선을 위해서 연마로봇에 적용하였다. 힘 센서 기반의 교시방법에 의해 연마가 가능한 선박용 연마로봇을 제시하였고, 힘 센서에 의한 교시방법을 연마로봇에 적용하여 실험한 결과를 제시함으로써 그 유효성을 검증하였다. 또한, 로봇교시 포인터의 수를 줄이기 위하여 가공면의 특이점들만을 이용하여 곡면 가공이 가능하도록 로봇 궤적을 생성하는 방안을 제시하여 실험결과를 제시하였다.
