The objective of this study was to establish an effective cryopreservation method of in vitro-produced bovine embryos. For the vitrification, in virtro-produced embryos at 8-cell, morula and blastocyst stages were exposed to freezing solution containing 5.5 M EG (EG 5.5) for 20 sec, loaded on each containers such as EM grid, OPS and Cryo-loop, and then immediately plunged into liquid nitrogen at -196$^{\circ}C$. Thawed embryos were serially diluted in 0.5, 0.25 and 0.125 M sucrose in m-HPBS, each for 1 min, and cultured in CRlaa medium supplemented with 10% FBS. Significant differences in the rates of re-expanded and hatched embryos were not observed among these embryo containers. The total cell number of expanded blastocyst cultured in vitro after vitrification was examined by Hoechst staining. There were no differences between non-vitrified (180.0 $\pm$ 5.4) and vitrified groups (178.0 $\pm$ 7.5). In addition, when the cellular injuries after vitrification were compared by double staining. There were no significant difference in the ratio of live and dead cells between non-vitrified group (176 : 4) and vitrified group (172 : 6). Therefore, these results suggest that bovine embryos can be cryopreserved easily, effectively and successfully by vitrification using various containers, such as EM grid, OPS or Cryo-loop in the presence of EG 5.5 freezing solution.

The paper deals with an operation scheme to improve the forecasting of output range and to regulate the active power output of the hybrid system consisting of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) and a fuel-cell. The power output of the wind turbine fluctuates as the wind speed varies and the slip power between the rotor circuit and power converter varies as the rotor speed change. The power fluctuation of a DFIG makes its operation difficult when a DFIG is connected to grid. A fuel cell system can be individually operated and adjusted output power, hence the wind turbine and fuel cell hybrid system can overcome power fluctuation by using a fuel-cell power control. In this paper, a fuel-cell is performed to regulate the active power output in comparison with the regulated active power output of a DFIG. And it also improves the forecasting of output range. Based on PSCAD/EMTDC tools, a DFIG and a proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC) is simulated and the dynamics of the output power in hybrid system are investigated.

The purpose of this study is to find a scheme to scale down the KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration) digital precipitation maps to the grid cell resolution comparable to the rural landscape scale in Korea. As a result, we suggest two steps procedure called RATER (Radar Assisted Topography and Elevation Revision) based on both radar echo data and a mountain precipitation model. In this scheme, the radar reflection intensity at the constant altitude of 1.5 km is applied first to the KMA local analysis and prediction system (KLAPS) 5 km grid cell to obtain 1 km resolution. For the second step the elevation and topography effect on the basis of 270 m digital elevation model (DEM) which represented by the Parameter-elevation Regressions on Independent Slopes Model (PRISM) is applied to the 1 km resolution data to produce the 270 m precipitation map. An experimental watershed with about $50km^2$ catchment area was selected for evaluating this scheme and automated rain gauges were deployed to 13 locations with the various elevations and slope aspects. 19 cases with 1 mm or more precipitation per day were collected from January to May in 2013 and the corresponding KLAPS daily precipitation data were treated with the second step procedure. For the first step, the 24-hour integrated radar echo data were applied to the KLAPS daily precipitation to produce the 1 km resolution data across the watershed. Estimated precipitation at each 1 km grid cell was then regarded as the real world precipitation observed at the center location of the grid cell in order to derive the elevation regressions in the PRISM step. We produced the digital precipitation maps for all the 19 cases by using RATER and extracted the grid cell values corresponding to 13 points from the maps to compare with the observed data. For the cases of 10 mm or more observed precipitation, significant improvement was found in the estimated precipitation at all 13 sites with RATER, compared with the untreated KLAPS 5 km data. Especially, reduction in RMSE was 35% on 30 mm or more observed precipitation.

A recent advance in smart phones is increasing utilization of location information. Existing positioning system was using GPS location for positioning. However, the GPS cannot be used indoors, if GPS location has an incorrectly problem. In order to solve indoor positioning problems of indoor location-based positioning techniques have been investigated. There are a variety of techniques based on indoor positioning techniques like as RFID, UWB, WLAN, etc. But WLAN location positioning techniques take advantage the bond in real life. WLAN indoor positioning techniques have a two kind of method that is centroid and fingerprint method. Among them, the fingerprint technique is commonly used because of the high accuracy. In order to use fingerprinting techniques make a WLAN signal map building that is need to lot of resource. In this paper, we try to solve this problem in an Indoor environment for WLAN-based fingerprint of a virtual building technique, which is proposed. Proposed technique is classified Cell environment in existed Indoor environment, all of fingerprint points are shown virtual grid map in each Cell. Its method can make fingerprint grid map very quickly using estimate virtual signal value. Also built signal value can take different value depending of the real estimate value. To solve this problem using a calibration technique for the Splite-tree is proposed. Through calibration technique that improves the accuracy for short period of time. It also is improved overall accuracy using predicted value of around position in cell.

Location based Services in the ubiquitous computing environment, namely u-LBS, use very large and skewed spatial objects that are closely related to locational information. It is especially essential to achieve fast search, which is looking for POI(Point of Interest) related to the location of users. This paper examines how to search large and skewed POI efficiently in the u-LBS environment. We propose the Dynamic-level Grid based R-Tree(DGR-Tree), which is an index for point data that can reduce the cost of stationary POI search. DGR-Tree uses both R-Tree as a primary index and Dynamic-level Grid as a secondary index. DGR-Tree is optimized to be suitable for point data and solves the overlapping problem among leaf nodes. Dynamic-level Grid of DGR-Tree is created dynamically according to the density of POI. Each cell in Dynamic-level Grid has a leaf node pointer for direct access with the leaf node of the primary index. Therefore, the index access performance is improved greatly by accessing the leaf node directly through Dynamic-level Grid. We also propose a K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN) algorithm for DGR-Tree, which utilizes Dynamic-level Grid for fast access to candidate cells. The KNN algorithm for DGR-Tree provides the mechanism, which can access directly to cells enclosing given query point and adjacent cells without tree traversal. The KNN algorithm minimizes sorting cost about candidate lists with minimum distance and provides NEB(Non Extensible Boundary), which need not consider the extension of candidate nodes for KNN search.
Polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell is one of the popular renewable energy sources and widely used in commercial medium power areas from portable electronic devices to electric vehicles. In addition, the increased integration of the PEM fuel cell with power electronics, dynamic loads, and control systems requires accurate electrical models and simulation methods to emulate their electrical behaviors. Advancement in parallel computation techniques, various real-time simulation tools, and smart power hardware have allowed the prototyping of novel apparatus to be investigated in a virtual system under a wide range of realistic conditions repeatedly, safely, and economically. This paper builds up advancements of optimized model constructions for a fuel cell stack system on a real-time simulator in the view points of improving dynamic model accuracy and boosting computation speed. In addition, several considerations for a power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) simulation are provided to electrically emulate the PEM fuel cell stack system with power facilities. The effectiveness of the proposed PHIL simulation method developed on Opal RT's RT-Lab Matlab/Simulink based real-time engineering simulator and a programmable power supply is verified using experimental results of the proposed PHIL simulation system with a Ballard Nexa fuel cell stack.

The paper addresses modeling and analysis of a grid-connected photovoltaic generation system (PV system). PSCAD/EMTDC, an industry standard simulation tool for studying the transient behavior of electric power system and apparatus, is used to conduct all aspects of model implementation and to carry out extensive simulation study. This paper is aimed at sharing with the PSCAD/EMTDC user community our user-defined model for PV system applications, which is not yet available as a standard model within PSCAD/EMTDC. An equivalent circuit model of a solar cell has been used for modeling solar array. A series of parameters required for array modeling have been estimated from general specification data of a solar module. A PWM voltage source inverter (VSI) and its current control scheme have been implemented. A maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is employed for drawing the maximum available energy from the PV array. Comprehensive simulation results are presented to examine PV array behaviors and PV system control performance in response to irradiation changes. In addition, dynamic responses of PV array and system to network fault conditions are simulated and analysed.

Studies of unsteady-airfoil flows have been motivated mostly by efforts to avoid. or reduce such undesirable effects as flutter, noise and vibrations, dynamic stall. In this paper, we carry out a computational study of viscous flows around a two-dimensional oscillating airfoil to investigate unsteady effects in these important and challenging flows. A fully implicit incompressible RANS solver has been used for calculating unsteady viscous flows around an airfoil. The cell-centered End order finite volume method is utilized to discretize governing equations. in order to ease the flow computation for fluid region changing in time, improve the qualify of solution and simplify the grid generation for an oscillating airfoil flow, the computational method adopts a moving and deforming grid generation technique based on the multi-block grid topology. The numerical method is applied for calculating viscous flows of an oscillating NACA 0012 in uniform flow. The computational results are compared with available experimental data. Computed results are compared with experimental data and flow characteristics of the experiment are reproduced well In the computed results.

Flow mechanism of contractive and dilative motion is numerically investigated to obtain a propulsive force in highly viscous fluid, which is the simulation of the propulsion in micro-organisms. The computing code for the analysis of complicated motions is developed with cell-centered unstructured grid scheme. The developed code is validated by the well-known problems of cavity flow and oscillating wall. The validated code is applied to the contractive and dilative motion in narrow tube. The computed results are compared with nodal points scheme. By the present results, it is found that propulsive force can be obtained by the contractive and dilative motion through simulation with the developed code.
