Soil Physico-chemical Properties of Organic Grapes Farms with Different Culture Facilities and Soil Management Practices

  • Organic grape was generally produced in rainshield or plastic greenhouse culture while most of fruits were produced in open field. But little attention has been given to soil properties with different culture facilities in organic grape cultivation. This study was conducted to investigate soil physico-chemical properties of organic grapes farms with different culture facilities and soil management practices. Organic fertilizer was main resource to manage soil at organic grapes farms. Organic grapes farms were applied with total amount of organic fertilizer at one time, either at basal or additional fertilization, whereas conventional grapes farms applied with split fertilization. Bulk density and penetration resistance of soil were lower at both rainshield and green manure-applied plastic greenhouse cultures than those at clean plastic greenhouse culture. Especially, in plastic greenhouse, sod culture with natural weed after green manure application was more effective than general sod culture in improving physical properties of the rhizosphere. The contents of organic matter, available phosphate and exchangeable potassium tended to increase in the soils applied with green manure, and the difference of soil chemical properties were significant between rainshield and plastic greenhouse cultures. The optimum soil management was required in plastic greenhouse because pH, available phosphate and exchangeable cations reached over optimum range. Consequently, the ground cover management is the key factor to affect the chemical properties as well as soil physical properties extensively in plastic greenhouse. It is found that sod culture with natural weed after green manure application resulted in enhancement of utilization efficiency of nitrogen, phosphoric acid and potassium in soil in comparison with general sod culture.

  • The greenhouse control system for educational purpose is designed by personal computer. This system should observe and control the growth conditions for crops in both plastic film and glass greenhouses. In this contribution puts emphasis on construction of greenhouse control system by personal computer under the aim of creating safer, more effective and more economical services. This system is developed for the requirements of the intelligent greenhouse control system and is powered by solar energy. A photovoltaic system with sun tracking module is used for the greenhouse control system.

채소 수경재배체계 도입에 의한 양어시설의 효율적 이용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficient Utilization of Aquaculture Greenhouse by Paralleling Vegetable Nutrient Culture Systems)

  • 양어 및 수경재배 시설의 효율적 이용가능성을 검사하고 이의 효율적인 결합기술을 확립하기 위한 기초자료를 얻기 위하여 양어ㆍ수경병용온실에서의 미기상 환경 특성과 그 환경에서의 작물의 생육 반응을 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 평균체중 428.6g의 틸라피아 성어는 147일간에 1.83배로 성장하였고, 평균 체중 12.9g의 치어는 61일 동안 1.37배의 성장율을 보여 정상적으로 성장하였다. 2. 미나리, 상추, 배추 및 실파 공히 수경재배구에서 보다 양어ㆍ수경병용구에서 초장, 생체중 등의 생육이 양호하였다. 3. 두 처리구에서 양액의 pH및 EC의 차이는 크지 않았으나 양액 온도는 양어ㆍ수경병용구에서 약 2$^{\circ}C$가 높았다. 4. 일중의 온도 및 습도변화양상은 평균온도가 각각 23.8$^{\circ}C$ 및 20.9$^{\circ}C$로서 양어ㆍ수경병용구에서 약 2.9$^{\circ}C$ 더 높았고 상대습도는 약 6%높았다. 3. $CO_2$ 농도는 양어ㆍ수경병용구에서 약 200ppm 정도 높았다. 6. 수경재배구보다 양어ㆍ수경병용구에서 잎의 순동화율이 다소 높았다. 그러므로 동일한 시설공간내에 수경재배와 양어를 병행한다면 난방비의 절감효과 뿐만 아니라 양어와 엽채류의 성장에도 상호보완적인 가중효과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

딸기 전조재배 온실의 인공광 설치실태 및 조도분포 조사분석 (Current Status of Lighting System and Illumination Distribution in the Greenhouse for Light Culture of Strawberries)

  • Motivated by the need for developing the more efficient lighting system for light culture of strawberries in the greenhouse, this paper aims at acquiring and suggesting more concrete and scientific foundation of illuminating position, numbers of light source by investigating the types of lighting system and illumination distribution in the greenhouse for light culture of strawberries. The results of investigation and experiment are summarized as following below: 1. The types of lighting system used in the greenhouse producing strawberries were classified as 1 line and 2 lines lighting system. 2. As for the arranging types of artificial light, 2 lines lighting system, were classified as Z-type, N-type and W-type. (Refer Fig. 3) 3. The results of illumination distribution for Z-type, N-type and W-type of 2 lines illuminating system in the greenhouse with a small size tunnel measured at the height of 1.5m from the ground with 220V, 100W lamp in 6m light gap showed that maximum illuminance are 961x, 1211x, 1251x, minimum illuminance are 4.41x, 4.71x, average illuminance are 33.71x, 43.11x, 44.51x and standard deviations are 28.31x, 35.41x, 38.31x at each types. 4. Proportion of the area below optimal illuminance to floor area at the two lines illuminating system of Z-, N-, and W-type in greenhouse were appeared as 39.4%, 26.0% and 26.3%, respectively. Also proportion of the area over optimal illuminance to floor area at the two lines illuminating system of Z-, N-, W-type in greenhouse were appeared as 16.8%, 14% and 14.7%, respectively. Thus N-type was superior to the others from the view points of optimal illumination distribution and energy saving.

오이의 온실재배에서 발생하는 위조병의 미생물학적 제어 (Biological Control of Fusarium Wilt by Antagonistic Microorganism in Greenhouse Grown Cucumber Plants)

  • This study was carried out to clarify the effects of antagonistic microorganism, Bacillus sp. JC181 isolated from the greenhouse soil grown cucumber plants on the growth inhibition of plant pathogen, fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum) occurred in cucumber plants in greenhouse. Antagonistic bacterial strains were isolated and were investigated into the antifungal activity of the antagonistic microorganism against fusarium wilt. Screened fourteen bacterial strains which strongly inhibited F. oxysporum were isolated from thc greenhouse soil grown cucumber plants, and the best antagonistic bacterial strain designated as JC181, was finally selected. Antagonistic bacterial strain JC181 was identified to be the genus Bacillus sp. based on the morphological and biochemical characterization. Bacillus sp. JC181 showed 58.2% of antifungal activity against the plant pathogen growth of F. oxysporum. By the bacterialization of culture broth and heated filtrates of culture broth, Bacterial strain, Bacillus sp. JC181. showed 91.2% and 260% of antifungal activity against F. oxysporum, respectivrly.

카네이션의 시설재배에서 길항성 세균을 이용한 Fusarium Wilt 의 생물학적 방제 (Biological Control of Fusarium Wilt of Carnation Plants by Antagonistic Microorganism in Greenhouse)

  • This study was carried out to screen and select the effects of antifungal bacterial strains which inhibit the growth of plant pathogen, Fusarium oxysporum(fusarium wilt) occurred in carnation plants in greenhouse. We isolated an effective bacterial strains and investigated into the antifungal activity of the antagonistic microorganism and it's identification. Twenty bacterial strains which strongly inhibited Fusarium oxysporum were isolated from roots of carnation plants and the soil in greenhouse, and the best antifungal bacteria designated as C121, was finally selected. Antagonistic bacterial strain, C121 was identified to be the genus Bacillus sp. based on the morphological, biochemical and cultural characterizations. The Bacillus sp. C121 showed 58.1% of antifungal activity against the growth of Fusarium oxysporum. By the bacterialization of the cultural broth and the heat bacterialization culture filtrate of it, Bacillus sp. C121 was shown 92.1% and 21.0% of antifungal activity, respectively.

Growth and salting properties influenced by culture methods, cultivars and storage packaging of kimchi cabbage (Brassica rapa) in spring

  • This experiment was conducted to determine the effects of the pre- and post-harvest variable factors on the processed product of kimchi cabbage. Two kimchi cabbage cultivars, namely 'Chungwang' and 'Dongpung,' were grown in a field and under a plastic greenhouse condition and stored at $5^{\circ}C$ after harvesting with and without low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film packaging. Growths were determined after harvesting while salting characteristics were determined after the processing and storage. The results show that the height, weight and leaf thickness were higher in kimchi cabbages grown in the greenhouse than those grown in the field. The plastic house culture increased the kimchi cabbage growth of the head weight, head height and leaf thickness compared with that of the open field culture. However, the osmolality and firmness were higher in the outdoor cultivated kimchi cabbages. Kimchi cabbage packed in film covered sacks and stored at $5^{\circ}C$ showed lower weight loss than unpacked cabbages during storage. Salt concentration and pH were also affected by the different pre- and post-harvest factors after salting the kimchi cabbages. Salt concentrations of the kimchi cabbage were influenced by various factors such as the cultivars, cultivation methods and storage covering. Though the present findings showed a limited difference in salt concentration and pH between the cultivars of kimchi cabbages, this study suggests that there is a relationship between processed agricultural products and their pre- and post-harvest methods.

온실재배 토마토에서 관개시기 진단지표로 경직경 변화를 이용한 관개 자동화 효과 (Effect of Irrigation Automation Using Stem Diameter Variation as an Indicator of Irrigation Timing in Greenhouse Tomato)

  • 본 논문에서는 온실재배 토마토에서 수분 상태를 고려한 정밀한 관개를 위하여 경직경의 변화에 근거한 자동관개 시스템을 구현하고자 하였으며 이와 같은 작물적 지표에 의한 관개제어시스템을 포트재배(closed feeding system) 조건과 포장재배 조건의 재배에 적용하여 토마토의 수량과 과실의 품질에 대하여 그 적합도를 평가하였다. 작물적 지표에 의한 관개 자동화를 위하여 경직경 측정 센서를 이용하여 측정한 경직경 일증가량(DI)를 관개 개시점의 결정에 이용하고, 동시에 이때의 관개량을 결정하기 위하여 토마토 증산모델을 적용한 마이크로 컴퓨터 자동관개 시스템을 구현하고 그 성능을 평가하였는데, 이 자동 관개 시스템을 이용하여 관개처리한 결과 포트재배에서는 토양수분에 의한 관개방식보다 수량 및 과실의 당도가 증가하였으나 포장조건에서는 관개방법간에 큰 차이가 없었다. 따라서 경직경 증가에 근거한 관개 개시점을 판단하고 관계량을 결정하는 증산모델을 사용하는 컴퓨터 시스템은 특히 closed feeding System에서 유용하며 토양조건에서는 토양의 상태, 작물의 반응 등을 고려하여 적용하여야 할 것으로 판단되었다.

네오레게리아 기내배양시 변이발생과 기외 생육 (Variation of the Regenerated Plantlets from in Vitro Culture of Neoregeria carorinae 'Tricolor' and in Vivo Growth of Regenerated Plantlets)

  • 네오레게리아(Neoregeria carorinae 'Tricolor')의 기내배양시 무늬소실을 줄일 수 있는 재료의 채취시기와 발근을 위하여 기내에서 처리된 오옥신이 온실에 이식된 식물체의 생육 및 개화에 미치는 영향에 관하여 실험한 결과, 화아분화 4주후(III단계)에 미숙화기를 배양한 것이 분화된 식물체 중 정상 식물체가 67%로 가장 많았고, 화아분화 직후 및 화아분화 5주후에 배양한 것은 모두 반입이 소실되었다. 미숙화기와 액아를 배양하여 나온 식물체중 정상식물체 획득율은 미숙화기 배양에서는 67%, 액아배양에서는 56.2%였다. 미숙화기를 배양하여 얻은 식물체가 액아를 배양하여 얻은 식물체보다 온실재배에서 생육이 월등이 좋았고, 개화율도 미숙화기를 배양하여 얻은 식물체는 27.8%이었으나 액아를 배양하여 얻은 식물체는 전혀 개화하지 않았다. IBA 0.5 mg/L가 첨가된 배지에서 발근시킨 식물체의 기외생육이 왕성하였으며, 기내에서 처리한 오옥신 종류와 농도는 온실에서 재배되고 있는 식물체의 변이에 영향을 미치지는 않았다.

재배방법이 참죽나무 잎의 생육 및 무기물 함량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Culture Methods on Growth and Mineral Contents in Chinese Toon (Cedrela sinensis A. Juss))

  • 참죽나무 순채 조기생산을 위하여 하우스와 노지재배에서 생산된 잎의 무기성분을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 참죽나무 순채의 생장속도는 노지에 비하여 하우스 재배에서 다소 빠른 경향이었고, 정아의 경우 초장, 가지수 등 생육과 생체 중, 엽록소 함량 등 품질은 노지와 하우스재배 처리 간 큰 차이가 없었다. 참죽나무 순채의 색도(a값)는 측아보다는 정아에서 적색도가 다소 높았으나 하우스와 노지재배 간에는 차이가 거의 없었다. 참죽나무 정아 및 측아의 pH는 5.7~6.2 정도였고 N 함량은 측아의 평균 $500.5mg{\cdot}kg^{-1}$에 비해 정아에서 3.1배 많았고, 노지재배($1,430mg{\cdot}kg^{-1}$)보다는 하우스 재배에서 1.2배 많았다. P, Ca, Mg 및 Fe 함량도 노지재배에 비하여 하우스 재배에서 유의성 있게 높았는데, P는 1.1배, Ca는 1.7배, Mg는 2.0배, Fe는 2.3배 정도 많았으나 K 함량은 하우스 재배의 $2.94mg{\cdot}kg^{-1}$에 비하여 노지재배에서 1.6배 많았다. Ascorbic acid 함량은 하우스 측아에서 $1,461mg{\cdot}kg^{-1}$으로 가장 높았고 노지 측아, 노지 정아, 하우스 정아 순이었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 고품질 참죽나무 순채 생산을 위해서 하우스 재배가 필요한 것으로 생각된다.
