This study presents Mine Green Framework(M.G.F) which can protect the slope of rock and tailings. M.G.F method provides the fiber frame which helps the growth of the plant in the barren site like mined rock slope. M.G.F system consists of the polyester fiber mat, soil, seeds and anchors for the attachment. The optimum rate of filling materials was figured out by many germination tests in order to improve the effect of filling materials and the optimum rate of filling materials was applied in four test sites individually. High rooting rate over 70% was confirmed in all field tests. Especially the moisturizer was the most important component of filling materials and it could make the better condition for the plants.
This study is to perform the effect of urbanization in urban and suburban districts, and to identify regional characters of climate according to the analysis of slope at rise, and descent of temperature and globe temperature, correlation between seasonal temperature analysis, and calculation of degree hour. According to this study, the result is summarized as follows. (1) The average temperature, rated from high to low, consists of residential area, Daegu weather station, intracity, green belt, water-front green belt, and suburban. (2) At the rise and descent of temperature, the result of the slope change of in each point may be one of the useful indexes to be able to perform the regional unique thermal characteristic, including the seasonal urbanization. (3) Although there is a difference between the surface of the earth and ambient environment. The result of the correlation of temperature between summer and winter is that temperature slope in urban districts was higher than in suburban districts, and the difference of slope was unvaried among the four observations in the same city region. (4) To show objectively, regional thermal characteristics in urban and suburban districts, the exponentiation of winter degree hour and summer degree hours were checked. The result of the exponentiation is that the more artificial a region, the lower index.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a goal setting method for increasing the probability of a holed in a side inclined putting stroke. Method: Three-dimensional video data was recorded at a frequency of 120 hz per second after synchronizing 19 infrared motion capture systems (Qualisys, Gothenburg, Sweden). Putting green used a polycarbonate plate ($1.2{\times}2.4{\times}0.01meter$) with coefficient of friction (${\mu}=0.062$) and a real curve of the actual hole. Results: The velocity ratio between the club and the ball was 1:1.6 under various ball speed conditions in this study. The overall position of the break is 1 m to 1.4 m from the point where the ball leaves. If there is a slope, the ball follows the target line by the straightening force, and when it reaches 1 m position, the straightening force decreases by 30~50% and reaches to the deviation (break) point which is severely influenced by the slope. From here, the ball is aimed in a direction other than the target, and the size is affected by the slope. Conclusion: If there is a side slope, the ball moves away from the straight line, and the larger the slope, the closer the break point is to the starting point of the ball. Therefore, it is necessary to calculate the degree of departure according to the slope carefully, and it is preferable that the slower the speed is, the more the influence of the slope becomes. It is preferable to use the center of the hole as a reference when calculating the departure.

The Green Wall is the highest eco-system among a segmental retaining wall systems. Recently, the demand of high segmental retaining wall (SRW) is increased in domestic. The soil nailing system is applied in order to maintain the high SRW stability for steeper slope. However, the proper design approach that can consider the earth pressure reduction effects in soil nailing system has not been proposed. Hence, the purpose of this study was to provide the design and analysis technique of the segmental retaining wall reinforced by soil nailing. Also, in this study, various parametric studies using numerical method as shear strength reduction (SSR) technique were carried out. In the parametric study, the length ratio and the bond ratio of the soil nailing were changed to identify the earth pressure reduction effect of the retaining wall reinforced by soil nailing.
With the rising interest in the environment, more attention on ecological restoration for damaged slope surface to restore its original state has been drawn. Generally, the most useful method is vegetation based spray work. This method uses green soil including sewage sludge, sawdust, paper sludge, and weathered granite soil. However, because there are neither accurate information nor test values about green soil, green soil is often lost by environmental factors such as rainfalls and strong winds. To solve the problem of green soil, it is necessary to prepare design standards about green soil, and conduct studies to deal with green soil loss in consideration of various variables including basic material property, soil quality of slope surface, and weather. This study was conducted in the mixture of green soil and eco-friendly soil stabilizer. With green soil, basic material property test and compaction test were conducted for the analysis on the basic characteristics of green soil. In the mixture with soil stabilizer at a certain ratio, we conducted shear strength test depending on the ratio in order to analyze the maximum shear strength, cohesion and the change in internal friction angles. Furthermore, in the mixture ratio of green soil and soil stabilizer, which is the same as the ratio in the shear strength test, an inclination of slope surface was made in laboratory for the analysis on erosion and germination rate. Finally, this study evaluated the most effective and economic mixing ratio of soil stabilizer to cope with neighboring environmental factors. According to the test, the shear strength of green soil increased up to 51% rely onto the mixing ratio of and a curing period, and its cohesion and internal friction angle also gradually increases. It is judged that the mixture of soil stabilizer was effective in improving shear strength and thereby increased the stability of green soil.

In this study, the improved performance of sprayed green soil was evaluated by incorporating functional additives. The optimal mixing ratio of the thickener and super-absorbent polymer, as an additive for moisture supply to the growth of plants within the range of mixing ratios that gives sufficient strength of green soil, was 5% and 1%, respectively. Using Portland cement as a main binder, the pH of the green soil was 9.1. To solve this alkali problem, the mixing proportion was improved so that the pH of the green soil was approximately 7.2 by mixing more than 10% of the chelate resin. The soil conductivity was measured to be 280 ~ 350mS/m under all the mixing conditions. This satisfied the criterion of less than 1000mS/m on the slope surface. As a result of measuring the soil hardness of the green soil prepared under the optimal mixing conditions of functional additives, it satisfied the criteria of 18 ~ 23mm when sprayed under a 1 bar pressure. The rebound rate was less than 15% when spraying green soil on a 75 % slope, and the hardness of the sprayed green soil was more than 18 mm.

This study was carried out to investigate and propose a green-wall system with evergreen plants for urban greening of Tongyeong City. To achieve these goals, the requirements and possibilities for wall greening were investigated and evaluated considering the location, topography, and climate of Tongyeong City. Existing walls were analyzed and then a suitable green wall system is proposed. Tongyeong City and its 151 islands covers the central and the southern parts of the Goseong peninsula. Most of the land is covered with hills and mountains; $43.9\%$ of the land area has a slope greater than $15\%$ and most hills and mountains near the urban area have a slope of more than $30\%$. As a result of the topographical properties, concrete retaining walls can often be seen along the streets in urbanized areas. These retaining walls are not only unattractive, but they also create environmental problems, and thus should be replaced with native evergreen plants. Options for replacing the retaining walls include evergreen vine-plants such as Hedaa spp. and Euonymus radicans, but native evergreen shrubs such as Pittosporum tobira, Nandina domestica, Raphiolepis umbellata, Ilex cornuta, flex crenata, Fatsia japonic, and Aucuba japonica may be a more attractive option. Current wall conditions are unsuitable for planting vines, therefore, a reservoir-drainage-type plant box filled with a light artificial substrate is required for greening these concrete retaining walls. These might be irrigated in the dry season and fertilized annually by an appropriate system. These plant boxes could be attached along the entire walls. An experiment investigating effects of substrates and bark-chip mulching on the growth of Hedera spp. showed that the mixture of cerasoil and field soil(v/v, 4:6) was superior to field soil alone and to the mixture of perlite small grain, large grain, and field soil(v/v/v, 2:2:6). Bark-chip mulching tended to increase the growth of Hedera spp..
The spudcan requires the suitable design considering the soil, platform, and environmental conditions. Its shape needs to be designed to secure sufficient reaction of soil so that it can prevent overturning accidents. Its shape also has to minimize the installation and extraction time. Even in the same soil condition, the reaction of soil may be different depending on the shape of spud can, mainly the slope of top and bottom plates. Therefore, in this study, the relation between the slope of plates and the reaction of soil with and without water jetting is analyzed to better understand their interactions and correlations. For the investigation, a wind turbine installation jack-up rig (WTIJ) is selected as the target platform and the Gulf of Mexico is considered as the target site. A multi layered (sand overlying two clays) soil profile is applied as the assumed soil condition and the soil-structure interaction (SSI) analysis is performed by using ANSYS to analyze the effect of the slope change of the bottom plate and water jetting on the reaction of soil. This kind of investigation and simulation is needed to develop optimal and smart spudcan with water-jetting control in the future.
Hydroseeding technique is a very popular method of revegetating slope areas through the control of soil erosion and stability by seeding grasses. This study was conducted to select turfgrass species and cultivars for hydroseeding. Experiment plots were established on various soil types and environmental conditions at Singar-Ansan high-way construction site. The investigation was designed in three cutting, one back-filling and other three spare sites with various seed mixtures. Results indicated that combinations of seed mixtures influenced seed germination and rates of surface cover. In a view of long term, vegetation shifts should be influenced by characters of slopes and micro-climate conditions. Hydroseeding did not show good results on rocky slope areas. Revegetation was only going on where there had soil. The combination of seed mixture with a higher rate of perennial ryegrass had relatively good revegetation with faster germination and seedling growth. Improved turf-type tall fescue Arid ⓡ and Falcon ⓡ seemed to have good environ-mental adaptation and drought tolerance. Wild or old type cultivars showed relatively slow green-up in spring and growth rates at the next year of seeding. For the harmonious landscaping with surrounding area, the combination of native grass mixture with cool-season grasses had good results. Slow and low revegetation rate at hack-filling site seemed to be caused by the poor development of capillary tubes in sub-soil. It was shown that a high correlation between seed germination and revegetation rate, and between three-month later coverage rate and final rate. The evaluation of coverage rate after three month seems to he acceptable to decide the accomplishment of hydroseeding results on rode side slopes.

In recent years, large-scale construction projects such as road pavement construction and new city construction have been carried out nationwide with by the expansion of social overhead facilities and base on the economic development planning, resulting in a rapid increase in artificial slope damage. The existing vegetation-based re-installation method of the slope surface greening method reveals various problems such as lack of bonding force, drying, and lack of organic matter. In this study, research was carried out using vegetation-based material and environmentally friendly soil additives, were are used in combination with natural humus, Bark compost, coco peat, and vermiculite. Uniaxial compressive strength was measured according to the mixing ratio of soil additives and the strength was analyzed. Experiments were carried out on the characteristics of the soil material to gauge the slope protection properties by using the soil compaction test method wherein the soil and the soil additive materials are mixed in relation to the soil height, the number of compaction, the compaction method (layer) and the curing condition. As a result of the experiment, excellent strength performance was demonstrated in soil additives using gypsum cement, and it satisfied vegetation growth standards by using performance enhancer and pH regulator. It was confirmed that the strength increases with the mixing of soil and soil additive, and the stability of slope protection can be improved.
