Characteristic of organic electroluminescent devices with 8-hydroxyquinoline Zinc($Znq_2$) as green-emitting material (녹색 발광 재료인 8-hydroxyquinoline Zinc($Znq_2$)를 이용한 유기 발광소자의 특성)

  • Organic electroluminescent devices have attracted a great deal of attention due to thier potential application to full-color flat-panel displays. The 8-hydroxyquinollne Zinc(Znq$_2$) were synthesized successfully from zinc chloride(ZnCl$_2$) and zinc acetate(Zn(C$_2$H$_3$O$_3$)$_2$) as green omitting material. A double-layer ELD consist of an emitting layer of B-hydroxyquinoline Zinc(Znq$_2$) and a hole-transport layer of tai-phenylene diamine(TPD) derivatives sandwiched between an Aluminium(Al) and Indium-Tin-Oxide(ITO) electrodes omitted green light resulting from Znq$_2$. The electroluminescent devices (ELD) exhibited a maximum luminance of 1000cd/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at a driving voltage of 8V and a driving current density of 0.4mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

  • Hanji has known for its high qualities for more than thousand years. Hanji is stronger, and has better durability, air permeability, flexibility, thermal insulation, soundproofs and UV absorbability. Therefore, developing industrial interior finishing materials using Hanji is replaced with the PVC (Poly-Vinyl Chloride) materials instead, it will be a new environment-friendly material and positively represents Korean brand marketing. The industrial inter-construction material is discomposed by heat or light because of material characteristics. As a result, it emits a lot of noxious substances. Hanji is essentially a neutral paper since it does not rely on any acidic chemicals of artificial bleaching methods. Hanji is also known as the living paper because of its close relation to nature. Therefore, I would like to suggest that Hanji made from alternative material as a chicken fiber. It will be a non-polluting interior finishing materials by making use of Hanji to a taste of Korean culture in the green industry around the world. Rather than PVC used commonly in construction material, kitchen and office furniture, interior materials in the subway, trains, or other vessels, credit cards, and ID cards, I created an interior construction material by using patented Hanji. This will be increased the value of usefulness in the environment-friendly green industry instead of PVC.

  • We investigated the fabrication of Si nanoparticle and $C_{60}$ thin films by pulsed laser ablation. As a result, we observed visible green photoluminescence spectra in the Si/C$_{60}$ multilayer films after laser annealing. It is considered that this green photoluminescence is occurred from SiC particles, which is produced reaction of Si nanoparticles with $C_{60}$ via laser annealing.ing.

  • Purpose: In order to improve the energy performance of existing buildings, so actively promoted green remodeling business. Also, improvement of the performance of envelope system of apartment housing is an absolute. The purpose of implementation of the data base and application plan of the envelope system for green remodeling of apartment housing. Method: For this study, It proposed a classification system of green remodeling envelope system constructed actual to select the applicable representative method and input material of apartment housing for green remodeling. In this study, divided into construction waste processing stage and production phase of the material for the boundary of the system, and implementation the classification system of the envelope system for applicable green remodeling. For this, established 6 environmental impact categories database. Result: As a result of various suggestions were available for case study research, alternative combinations of existing combinations than six kinds of environmental impact insulation system with superior input materials combining 96 kinds, window system, 12 kinds for determining the applicability of the established database. Depending on the account for a large proportion if compared to the detailed analysis of the environmental impact resulting from the production phase and disposal phase was analyzed that the operating management of the necessary input materials. Is considered that the economic performance and integrated energy performance required by the applicable public housing green remodeling evaluation techniques considered for future improvements insulation sheath.

Optical Properties as Coating Process of Complex Phosphor for White LED (백색 LED용 복합형광체의 코팅공정에 따른 광 특성)

  • In this study, we fabricated high quality color conversion component with green/red phosphor and low melting glass frit. The color conversion component was prepared by placing the green and red phosphor layer on slide glass via screen printing process. The properties of color conversion component could be controlled by changing coating sequence, layer thickness and heat treatment temperature. We discovered that optical properties of color conversion component were generally determined by the lowest layer. On the other hand, the heat treatment temperature also affected to correlated color temperature (CCT) and color rending index (CRI). The color conversion component with a green (lower) - red (upper) layer which was sintered at $550^{\circ}C$ showed the best optical properties: CCT, CRI and luminance efficacy were 3340 K, 78, and 56.5 lm/w, respectively.

  • Nacre is an organic-inorganic composite material; it is composed of $CaCO_3$ platelet and protein. The microstructure of nacre is a matrix that is similar to bricks and mortar. Technology inspired by nature is called biomimetic technology. In this study, to make high thermal conducting ceramic composite materials using biomimetic technology, a porous green body was prepared with BN platelets. PMMA was infiltrated into the porous green body to make a composite. The microstructure of the composite was observed with FESEM, and the thermal properties were measured. The thermal conductivity of the prepared organic-inorganic composite was 4.19 $W/m{\cdot}K$.

  • A general form solution is considered for a piezoelectric material containing impermeable cracks subjected to a combined mechanical and in-plane electrical loading. The analysis is based upon the Hilbert problem formulation. Using this solution, typically for a central crack in transverse isotropic piezoelectric material, a closed form solution is obtained, where one concentrated mechanical and electrical load is subjected to the crack surface. This problem could be used as a Green's function to generate the solutions of other problems with the same geometry but of different loading conditions.

Peanut Shells as an Environmentally Beneficial Sound-Absorbing Material

  • This study investigated the prospect of using peanut shells as an alternative and green sound-absorbing material. The sound-absorption coefficients were determined after filling impedance tubes of 30, 60, and 90 mm in height with peanut shells. The sound-absorption ability increased as the filling height increased, showing noise reduction coefficient (NRCs) of 0.23, 0.43, and 0.54 for the 30-, 60-, and 90-mm heights, respectively. In addition, for sounds greater than 2,000 Hz, the average sound-absorption coefficient of peanut shells in the 60- and 90-mm heights was 0.9. In summary, peanut shells were found to have good sound-absorption properties comparable to or better than those of bamboo, sisal, jute, and wool, and this research suggests that peanut shells may be useful as an environmentally friendly sound-absorbing material.

  • Hydrogen is emerging as an essential material for carbon neutrality. In particular, Korea needs 22.9 million tons of imported clean hydrogen by 2050 to achieve carbon neutrality. However, a large amount of carbon is emitted during the import process, and market regulations are being discussed. This research estimates the carbon emissions of importing green hydrogen from Vietnam, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates to Korea, and calculates imported green hydrogen prices under carbon emission market regulations.

  • Sub-bituminous coals have been used increasingly in coal-fired power plants with a proportion of over 50% in the blend with bituminous coals. As a result, the unburned material in fly ash has increased and is causing problems in utilizing the fly ash as an additive for concrete production. In this study, analysis of fly ash obtained from a 500 MWe power plant was carried out and unburned material in the fly ash found to be soot. The coals used in the plant were analyzed with CPD model to investigate the sooting potential depending on the coal type and blending ratio.
