  • The current streetlight system have been tried various attempts. but during maintenance, it has caused the traffic congestion and many risk factors. In addition, maintenance costs are very expensive to manage and the local government have to establish countermeasures about the present condition. If neglected, it may cause a variety of social problems. so, there should be a measure to prevent problems. This rotational and up-and-down type streetlight can be a solution to these factors and it has been highlighted indirectly in terms of green growth because we have to take advantage of the value.

  • The changes of climate and earth environment caused by Global Warming has seriously occurred recently. For instance, the water in the Chad Lake in Africa has continuously disappeared and Tuvalu in the South Pacific is facing a serious natural disaster with that the entire country is sinking under the sea. These natural disasters become a serious risk threatening the existence of the human-race. Therefore, we needs a fundamental measure to prevent Global Warming. That is a natural phenomenon that makes the earth warmer by 6 types a greenhouse gas including $CO_2So$ we look for an answer from the 'Green Growth' movement.

  • The corrosion on steam generator tubes of the secondary side of pressurized water reactor inhibits heat transfer. One of the most efficient techniques improving the heat transfer performance of a nuclear electric generation is a corrosion control. The environmental parameters mostly affecting corrosion are materials and chemical additives. It seems that no further corrosion occurs in steels with Polyacrylic acid polymer dispersant treatment. Polyacrylic acid forms a protective coating with uniform thickness on metal surface. Polyacrylic treatment appears to be the most convenient way to enhance the thermal performance by the thermal conductivity improvement in steam generators.

  • A model for estimating daily effective rainfall of upland crops was developed. The infiltration process was described by Green-Ampt infiltration model developed by Chu(1978). The model considers delayed surface ponding and surface detention storage under a uniform soil profile. The Green-Ampt parameters, that is, average hydraulic conductivity and average capillary pressure head on a sandy loam soil were determined from field experiment using Air-entry permeameter developed by Bouwer(1966). The model was verified by comparing measured and simulated surface runoff. The ratios of effective rainfall to total rainfall for red pepper, soybean, sesame and Chinese cabbage were evaluated using Borg's root growth model( 1986) respectively. The followings are a summary of this study results; 1.In a sandy loam soil average hydraulic conductivity was 3.28cm/hr and average capillary pressure head was 3.00cm. 2.The root growth of upland crops could be expressed by Borg's root growth model successively. 3.The measured and simulated surface runoff was agreed well with each other. 4.As the rainfall amount was increased, the ratio of effective rainfall to total rainfall was decreased exponentially till a certain growing period.

  • At the different growing stages of Fagopyrum esculentum Moench planted at the green house and out doors, the contents of free amino acids in the whole plants, were determined quantitatively by spot-extract colorimetric method (J. Awapara method) using the chromatograms obtained by the ion-exchange resin and paper chromatographic method. And the contents of carbohydrate in the whole plant were determined by Bertrand method. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Almost same kinds of free amino acids were detected in the both plants. 2. Concentrations of most amino acids was increased progressively during growth; further growth was accompanied by decreased concentrations. 3. Rate of growth and increasing of total amino acid content of green house plant is greater than that of out dorrs plant. 4. At the same stages of gwoth, total free amino acid content of green house plant is higher than that of out doors plant but sugar content is lower. 5. There was rapidly increasing of sugar content and decreasing of total free amino acid content except asparagine during mature of seeds.

  • This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of a growth retardant uniconazole treatment time on the growth and flowering of Cymbidium Pine Clash 'Moon Venus' and Cym. Green Sour 'A One' in order to develop a substitutional technique on the highland cultivation. Leaf growth of both cultivars was more remarkably reduced by earlier uniconazole treatment time and growth reduction of 'A One' was more remarkable than 'Moon Venus'. Flowering time of 'Moon Venus' treated with uniconazole at May 7 and 27 was accelerated by 5 and 6 days respectively. Moreover, the number of inflorescences and florets showed a tendency to increase. However there was no difference in flowering time of 'A One' among treatments but there was a tendency to decrease in the number of inflorescences and florets by uniconazole treatment. In both cultivars, there was no difference among treatments in the length and width of lower sepal which represent the floret size.

  • The present study was conducted for the purpose of analyzing the growth response of Dracaena braunii treated with chloride ions and to evaluate its salt tolerance. Distilled water (CON) was spiked with 1 (C1), 2 (C2), 5 (C5), 10 (C10) and 15 g/L (C15) $CaCl_2$, respectively. Acidity (pH) and electrical conductivity of hydroponic solution, and leaf width, leaf length, root length, number of leaves, fresh weight, dry weight and the water content of Dracaena braunii were measured. Acidity and electrical conductivity remarkably increased commensurate with increasing concentrations of $CaCl_2$. Growth in the C1 treatment was better than that in CON, whereas the C10 or C15 treatments caused either slow growth or withering of the plants. Fresh weight, dry weight and water content were significantly decreased in response to $CaCl_2$ concentration, compared with those in the control. These results showed that $CaCl_2$ concentration less than 1 g/L may be used as a hydroponic solution for D. braunii, as long as the water quality is not too saline. The chlorine ion has a negative effect on the growth.

  • This paper analyze the economic effect of R&D investment for the IT Green growth initiatives in Korea, relating to Green growth which is main force for activating in order to durable growth currently. The IT green growth initiatives can be grouped by IT manufacture, IT service, and S/W and computer-related services in the R&D investment and to be analyzed by the RAS forecasting methods. The results indicate that the production-inducing effect is about 31,853 billion won for the IT manufacture, and IT service is about 14,360 billion won, and the next is S/W and computer-related service whose effect is about 4,482 billion won. The import, value added, and employment effect of IT manufacture is also bigger than those of any other sectors in IT. This is because R&D investment in case of IT manufacture is more huge than IT service. Besides, employment-inducing effects show that IT manufacture is highest in 16,596 persons; IT service is secondly highest in 9,000 persons and S/W; lastly, computer-related service is much lower than those of any other sector. So we can conjecture that the long-term initiatives of IT green growth implementation lead to increasing size of benefits in the IT sectors.

  • This study was conducted to evaluate an efficiency of plant growth regulator trinexapacethy(Primo) on the growth response of bentgrass and the change to soil water content in bentgrass green. Based on the results of the study, the following results were observed. 1. During four weeks after treatment, the visual color and turfgrass density of all the treated plots with trinexapac-ethyl(Primo) were more improved rather than without. Two treatments trinexapac-ethyl /$0.02mL\m^2$ and $0.04mL/\m^2$ were more favorable than other treatments. 2. It suggested that optimum rate to reduce the bentgrass growth and to increase the turfgrass density was the trinexapac-ethyl $0.04mL/\m^2$. 3. For six weeks after treatment, all treated plots were not significantly different (P<0.05) in turfgrass root length and root dry weitht. 4. In the treated plots with trinexapac-ethyl $0.04mL/\m^2$ for 25days in bentgrass green, soil water consumption was approximately 35% to 40% compare to the non-treated control.
