Subgraph Searching Scheme Based on Path Queries in Distributed Environments (분산 환경에서 경로 질의 기반 서브 그래프 탐색 기법)

  • A network of graph data structure is used in many applications to represent interactions between entities. Recently, as the size of the network to be processed due to the development of the big data technology is getting larger, it becomes more difficult to handle it in one server, and thus the necessity of distributed processing is also increasing. In this paper, we propose a distributed processing system for efficiently performing subgraph and stores. To reduce unnecessary searches, we use statistical information of the data to determine the search order through probabilistic scoring. Since the relationship between the vertex and the degree of the graph network may show different characteristics depending on the type of data, the search order is determined by calculating a score to reduce unnecessary search through a different scoring method for a graph having various distribution characteristics. The graph is sequentially searched in the distributed servers according to the determined order. In order to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method, performance comparison with the existing method was performed. As a result, the search time is improved by about 3 ~ 10% compared with the existing method.

  • In this paper we introduce a graph theory approach to solve the frequency assignment problem(FAP) for military communication network. Prior algorithms are implemented adaptively to the problem, and enhanced algorithms are proposed to show that their results approximately approached the optimum performance. We also proposed polarization assignment algorithms to enhance the FAP performances.

  • Active database execute an action of active rule defined in advance which is triggered automatically, whenever an event with the matching event specifications occurs, its condition is evaluated. Because these rules may in turn trigger other rules, the set of rules may be triggered each other indefinitely, Therefore, we propose a termination analysis method to guarantee termination. This proposed method considers composite event as well as rule execution time. Above all, the method not only uses deactivation graph combined to trigger graph for exact analysis, but also improves the complexity of analysis. Also the proposed method enhances accuracy of analysis result.

Graph Assisted Resource Allocation for Energy Efficient IoT Computing

  • Resource allocation is one of the top challenges in Internet of Things (IoT) networks. This is due to the scarcity of computing, energy and communication resources in IoT devices. As a result, IoT devices that are not using efficient algorithms for resource allocation may cause applications to fail and devices to get shut down. Owing to this challenge, this paper proposes a novel algorithm for managing computing resources in IoT network. The fog computing devices are placed near the network edge and IoT devices send their large tasks to them for computing. The goal of the algorithm is to conserve energy of both IoT nodes and the fog nodes such that all tasks are computed within a deadline. A bi-partite graph-based algorithm is proposed for stable matching of tasks and fog node computing units. The output of the algorithm is a stable mapping between the IoT tasks and fog computing units. Simulation results are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm which proves the improvement in terms of energy efficiency and task delay.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to analyze M:N corresponding relations in semantic matching, especially focusing on feature class matching. Similarities between any class pairs are measured by spatial objects which coexist in the class pairs, and corresponding classes are obtained by clustering with these pairwise similarities. We applied a graph embedding method, which constructs a global configuration of each class in a low-dimensional Euclidean space while preserving the above pairwise similarities, so that the distances between the embedded classes are proportional to the overall degree of similarity on the edge paths in the graph. Thus, the clustering problem could be solved by employing a general clustering algorithm with the embedded coordinates. We applied the proposed method to polygon object layers in a topographic map and land parcel categories in a cadastral map of Suwon area and evaluated the results. F-measures of the detected class pairs were analyzed to validate the results. And some class pairs which would not detected by analysis on nominal class names were detected by the proposed method.

  • LOD-based recommender systems usually leverage the data available within LOD datasets, such as DBpedia, in order to recommend items(movies, books, music) to the end users. These systems use a semantic similarity algorithm that calculates the degree of matching between pairs of Linked Data resources. In this paper, we proposed a new approach to measuring semantic distance in an LOD-based recommender system by assigning weights converted from user ratings to links in the LOD graph. The semantic distance measurement model proposed in this paper is based on a processing step in which a graph is personalized to a user through weight calculation and a method of applying these weights to LDSD. The Experimental results showed that the proposed method showed higher accuracy compared to other similar methods, and it contributed to the improvement of similarity by expanding the range of semantic distance measurement of the recommender system. As future work, we aim to analyze the impact on the model using different methods of LOD-based similarity measurement.

Automatic Change Detection Based on Areal Feature Matching in Different Network Data-sets (이종의 도로망 데이터 셋에서 면 객체 매칭 기반 변화탐지)

  • By a development of car navigation systems and mobile or positioning technology, it increases interest in location based services, especially pedestrian navigation systems. Updating of digital maps is important because digital maps are mass data and required to short updating cycle. In this paper, we proposed change detection for different network data-sets based on areal feature matching. Prior to change detection, we defined type of updating between different network data-sets. Next, we transformed road lines into areal features(block) that are surrounded by them and calculated a shape similarity between blocks in different data-sets. Blocks that a shape similarity is more than 0.6 are selected candidate block pairs. Secondly, we detected changed-block pairs by bipartite graph clustering or properties of a concave polygon according to types of updating, and calculated Fr$\acute{e}$chet distance between segments within the block or forming it. At this time, road segments of KAIS map that Fr$\acute{e}$chet distance is more than 50 are extracted as updating road features. As a result of accuracy evaluation, a value of detection rate appears high at 0.965. We could thus identify that a proposed method is able to apply to change detection between different network data-sets.

  • Content-based video copy detection is a complementary approach to watermarking. As opposed to watermarking, which relies on inserting a distinct pattern into the video stream, video copy detection techniques match content-based signatures to detect copies of video. Existing typical content-based copy detection schemes have relied on image matching which is based on key frame detection. This paper proposes a motion directional histogram, which is quantized and accumulated the direction of motion, for video copy detection. The video clip is represented by a motion directional histogram as a 1-dimensional graph. This method is suitable for real time indexing and counting the TV CF verification that is high motion video clips.

  • In this paper, DSPOCS(Digital Switchgear-Panel Operation and Control Solution) is designed, which is the intelligent inference based operation and control solution to obtain the safety and reliability of electric power supply in substation based on IED. DSPOCS is designed as a scheduled monitoring and control task and a real-time alarm inference task, and is interlinked with BRES(Bus Reconfiguration Expert System) in the required case. The intelligent alarm inference task consists of the alarm knowledge generation part and the real-time pattern matching part. The alarm knowledge generation part generates automatically alarm knowledge from DB saves it in alarm knowledge base. On the other hand, the pattern matching part inferences the real-time event by comparing the real-time event information furnished from IEDs of substation with the patterns of the saved alarm knowledge base.; Especially, alarm knowledge base includes the knowledge patterns related with fault alarm, the overload alarm and the diagnosis alarm. In order to design the database independently in substation structure, busbar is represented as a connectivity node which makes the more generalized graph theory possible. Finally, DSPOCS is implemented in MS Visual $C^{++}$, MFC, the effectiveness and accuracy of the design is verified by simulation study to the typical distribution substation.

  • 본 논문에서는 CRCW(Concurrent Read Concurrent Write)와 CREW(Concurrent Read Exclusive Write) PRAM(Parallel Random Access Machine) 모델에서 무방향성 그래프 G=(V, E)의 극대 매칭을 구하기 위해 간결한 랜덤 병렬 알고리즘을 제안한다. CRCW PRAM 모델에서 m개의 선을 가진 그래프에 대해, 제안된 매칭 알고리즘은 m개의 프로세서 상에서 {{{{ OMICRON (log m)의 기대 수행 시간을 가진다. 또한 CRCW 알고리즘을 CREW PRAM 모델에서 구현한 CREW 알고리즘은 OMICRON (log^2 m)의 기대 수행 시간을 가지지만,OMICRON (m/logm) 개의 프로세서만을 가지고 수행될 수 있다.Abstract This paper presents simple randomized parallel algorithms for finding a maximal matching in an undirected graph G=(V, E) for the CRCW and CREW PRAM models. The algorithm for the CRCW model has {{{{ OMICRON (log m) expected running time using m processors, where m is the number of edges in G We also show that the CRCW algorithm can be implemented on a CREW PRAM. The CREW algorithm runs in {{{{ OMICRON (log^2 m) expected time, but it requires only OMICRON (m / log m) processors.
